too soon to celebrate ;D
maybe your thread is almost similar to the "merry christmas forum" thread - instead of merits. Is not it?

There is are already a thread about that here , https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5213930.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5213930.0) but its locked and in off topic.
And here is another one , https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5213967.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5213967.0)  its in the Speculation board and also locked.
I havnt looked and searched more about more threads but i remember there was a few threads about that.
And would be nice if we can use an already existing thread from the past if there is one open.

In my country, new year will be tomorrow but it's not good to celebrate. As I mentioned in my previous posts if you have time to check my post history is that we are hit by typhoon rai and if we ever celebrate new year then we will celebrate without electricity. Buying fireworks is also very hard where the government didn't allow lighting fireworks because of the current condition. It's how we celebrate new year where we cook some delicious dishes, shouting happy new year or making loud noises and lighting fireworks. We even celebrated christmas but it's not lively as it used to be. Water supply is very scarce too.

Happy New Year to you and everyone here in the forum who celebrate this night. In my case, ill prefer to sleep well this night cause herein some places in the Philippines we encountered blackouts due to a typhoon has been faced last December 16 but besides these calamities, I am so thankful that I am not part of those people who died during that typhoon. And have a chance to live and face another year of my life.

Happy upcoming New 2022 Year! I hope that this year wasn't bad for most of you and I wish that next year would be much better than this one.
Have a nice New Year celebration tonight.
And would be nice if we can use an already existing thread from the past if there is one open.
I don't agree. For Christmas I think it doesn't matter much which thread we are using. For New Year, I think it would be a bit strange to use 2019 or 2022 thread for 2022 year.

Why should it a bit strange to use an existing thread for something that happens every year again !
If there would be an existing open Thread ( the old ones are locked ) it would be nice to see old posts and it has something historical also.
I mean i have no problem to use this one here and everybody can do what he wants , i am cool with that.
So yeah i wish all the Bitcoiners and Users on the Forum a very nice and happy slide into the new Year  :)

Doesn't matter if we use a new or old thread, what matters is that we wish sincerely a HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone, a year that bring prosperity love, and peace in everyone's life.

Let's hope 2022 be a healthy year and the world is free from all sorts of covid/Omni viruses.

I don't know which thread is right to congratulate this but if there is an active thread I will say it here.

In less than 3 hours my country will enter 2022 and we certainly have dreams of diamonds and hope that what we want is achieved this coming year.
And with full blessings and perseverance we are in carrying out our new activities in 2022.

Happy new year 2022 to all Bitcointalk forum members wish you all good health in tonight's celebration.

I had the plan of creating a new year thread at the exact time of 01.01.2022 at 00.01 forum time a few days ago but this random newbie created that and ruined all of my plans. ::)

Anyway, I hope everyone will have a better year than now in 2022 and try to concentrate more towards your goals and work your ass out for it.

Here we have few more hours to go for the celebration and I hope everything will go well.

Everyone deserved to be happy behind difficulties and struggles in life.
Goodbye, 2021, and welcome to 2022.

Expecting a thread of New Year Resolutions. ::)

There are many good memories in 2021 for bitcoin, we will always remember them. A lot of the unthinkable will happen in 2021 especially when we surpass record after record fantastically for the price, so I would consider it a historic year for bitcoin. Happy new year to the forum and all users, hopefully in 2022 we can get much better things than 2021.

I think that's a good idea as we say goodbye to 2021 and face a new beginning in the year 2022.
New year's resolutions thread must be created to share our journey in last year and another plan/goal in this year.
Happy New Year to you mate and every one here forum as it was already 12:29 am in our country, Philippines time.

Well, it's not big deal, but it may look a bit strange. Let's say there is thread ''Happy 2021 New Year'' and then we would start posting greetings for 2022. Anyway, ity's not important stuff to discuss, especially in such special date like today.

While we are still waiting for 2022, some people in forum already welcomed it. So, how it feels to live in 2022? :D

No extravagant celebrations here and it really is like the previous night. We have bigger expectations in 2022, so it should be much better than last year. But I don't know how to tell you about life in 2022 because we are only 2 hours into 2022. LOL

Although you will have to wait a few hours from now for the celebration, but happy new year to you and all the beloved forum users. May we always be protected, grateful for all the blessings.

Happy New year to all Bitcointalk users!

For many of us this place is a warm sweet home in the ice-cold web. Let's keep it this way. Let's fight less and smile to each other more. :) May 2022 year be filled with moments of joy and happiness for all of us here!

Goodbye, 2021. Welcome, 2022!

Ugh, I'm really hoping so because this year was one of the worst I've experienced--for a number of reasons, which I won't bore anyone with.  But I'm sure I'm not alone in that regard, because there seems to be bad news popping up from everywhere on a daily basis.

So happy 2022 to everyone here!  It's hard to believe I've been an active member of this forum for so long, and it seems like it's a completely new group of people I'm wishing that happy new year to.  There have been a lot of members who've come and gone since 2015, and for those who've stuck around longer than that it must seem even more pronounced.

But I'm happy to see that the new forum software has yet to be unveiled, because I kind of like the 2010 look.

Of course not all of us can feel good during 2021 for various reasons. But I'm sure you've gone through it without much complaining, it will just be a memory that we must forget for a better future.

I have very little hope that I want to achieve in 2022 and that is to experience what it's like to be a Legendary member of this forum after the merit system is put in place. This will certainly be a big achievement for me besides that I also hope that several other targets can be achieved. Happy new year to you The Pharmacist.

I am not good at celebrating new years or other occassions like Birthdays as they are just numbers and have nothing to do with good luck, bad luck or one's progress but to those who believe in them so much. Happy new year.

Definitely not, the year wasn't the best for quite a lot of people, myself included, but asides the negatives of the year, we can at least smile for a couple of positives that the year offered us as well, and as the saying goes: "once there is life, there is hope", so obviously we can hope for a better 2022. I'm saying a big happy New Year to all forum members, and this is actually coming from my heart cause this forum has been a huge part of me every year since i joined, and thus I'm happy for the users that make up the forum, I wanna see you all win and I wish everyone good health, covid-free and joyful new year.

Try not to see them as just number but something special and celebrate them Buddy. This celebration has its benefits, it doesn't mean you have to do all the  crazy things people do in name of celebrating birthdays or New year but the little you do will always send a positive messages to your brain. Personally I self reflect on this days. Look back into the year to see how far I have come. Usually it motivate me for the upcoming days after a new year or birthday.

A low key way to celebrate this occasions is to set goals for yourself, then every end of year you reflect on the goals, that you don't reach all the goals shoudn't discourage you instead focus on the positive and always remember, If the goals was reached easily it wasn't big enough. Hope you have  a wonderful 2022 and same wishes to everyone.

I wish all Bitcointalk members happy new year. It wasn't an easy one for me, but joyful I am still here on this forum with you people. Seeing the activeness of many of you here is even more than seeing some people physically in life. This forum makes me know that you may not be seeing someone physically but positively feeling the person. Thank you all that I felt here in 2021, I believe more to come in 2022.

May 2022 be much more prosperous and successful than 2021, and may it bring you much more concrete financial results, which will give you the financial freedom we all want.
I believe that we all came here at the right time and in the right place and that our personal decisions to get involved in the crypto industry will bring us great benefits later.
Sometimes you have to be patient and wait for the right and valuable things, but the reward comes to those who believe and do not give up  :D

Glad to be able to celebrate the new year on the forum. Even though I'm a bit late in posting it, the moment of January 1 should still be felt until now. Hopefully in this new year 2022 we can do better things than the previous year. Regardless of how successful we are, how bad we are in 2021 then 2022 should be much better.

Happy new year to admins, staff, moderators, contributors and everyone else in this forum [especially to those reading this post] thank you very much for 2021.

Best regards, _BlackStar

Happy New Year To You All

The world today has turned to such a degerous place, where we even have to mask up for have a sense of safety, avoid touching our neighbours, not visit anyone and remain confined in our homes. Given this fact, many has past on to the after life without having a chance to know what yesterday was, today is and tomorrow would be.
We have been gifted with this opportunity, the opportunity to a new life, a new beginning, a chance to make things right and better our world.

Given this fact, I'm very happy to be amongst and celebrate with like minds for the gift of a new year 2022. It's not easy what you all have past through and your still here today. Together, we would push through to greater us and a greater bitcoin community.

Happy New Year and cheers to new beginnings!!!

Happy new year Bitcointalk community. It is over three years I have been registered on the forum and during that time, I have learnt a lot, made mistakes and got corrected and built positive connections with users from here. There are familiar faces who have not logged in for a while now and I sincerely hope they are doing okay and just got bored of being here.

Happy New year wherever you are counting the firecrackers from.

Happy New Year to all my wonderful forum brothers and sisters.  It has been a hell of a ride, but we're still here.

My wish in 2022 for you all is that you find success and happiness with whatever it is that you're working on.  Whether that be a project, or just yourself personally.  I hope that all your altcoins pump, your NFT collections sell, your DeFi investments crank out income, and your Bitcoin number goes up.  I hope everyone is able to avoid scams, find supportive community members, and live healthy and happy in 2022!

Regardless of our differences we have a pretty cool shared hobby.  Long live crypto!
