Title: mainstream media eager to announce Bitcoin dead
Post by: Wiwo on December 31, 2021, 10:33:07 AM
Bitcoin has been rumored dead by media and the anti Bitcoin crusaders for so many times in the time past and 2021 alone Bitcoin has been rumored to be dead for 45 times and a total of 438 times rumors of Bitcoin being dead since 2010 and yet Bitcoin has always proven to be alive active and still gaining more public attention.
My question is why are those anti Bitcoin media always peddling rumors about Bitcoin each time the coin increase in it the price is their work with the government just to discredit Bitcoin, why is mainstream media always used to perpetrate evils against oppositions.

Lol, according to media, bitcoin died many times already.

You can follow everything here: https://99bitcoins.com/bitcoin-obituaries/

And obviously, bitcoin is not going to die, and those spreading this news has some narrative behind. Maybe they want to keep the price very low so that they can buy cheap and at a discounted price. Or simply they are haters of bitcoin and doesn't want it to take off.

Ever heard of green Bills ?
If yes, then ever seen millions of it altogether?  ;D

Oh yeah, those anti-bitcoin news could be coming from one of those millions green bills together. Why not, no one is going to interfere with the media channels, they read it in the morning and flush it by bed time. The news channels or blogs, all are paid media’s now a days and they would literally show and present anything that would seek immediate attention towards them.

It’s all about TRP, paid negative marketing or may be market manipulation strategies. You never know what it could be.

Pretty simple — it's what get clicks. Journalism nowadays is mostly just using clickbait to get people to potentially read their heavily factually inaccurate "articles". And on the other end, you have people on social media who will believe everything they read.

And it's something that a lot of people do not understand. So "that newfangled tech" is going to go away and things will go back to the way they were.

It's the same people who think Amazon will be killed somehow, or the electric cars will not take off, or lab grown meat, or any one of a bunch of different things that people don't want in their lives that they are happy to hear about the failure of.

And as others have said, it gets clicks.

And now we have to start the 2022 bitcoin is dead counts.

We should say thanks to media and if it is mainstream media, it is better for us. They make noise and do it free for Bitcoin community. We don't have to spend any budget for mainstream media to shill Bitcoin. They do it because they hate Bitcoin but they don't realize that their efforts to attack Bitcoin only help Bitcoin being more popular.

It is so great. Massive marketing and totally free. So far Bitcoin is not dead.

It's always the main selling point of media and journalist. They can always announce bitcoin dead whenever there are slight hiccups on the price, and if the market is trading on a somewhat slow pace, they will say that bitcoin is not really fit for big money, or safekeeping of value. They can paint the picture however they like, but in the end, people know that bitcoin always thrives despite being surround constantly by FUDs and negative elements that want to see bitcoin done for.

If that would interest the readers, they'll continue to make that kind of story.

When you see the title "bitcoin died" or "bitcoin collapsed", isn't it interesting to you? of course it is, so it's like attracting the reader's attention and even if the content is anti bitcoin, it will never change that fact that bitcoin at the current price now is already a big success.

People generally don't like change, and fiat has been around for as long as anyone can remember, and banks have been a fundamental part of their life. So, something like Bitcoin that completely changes how they handle their money, does definitely set the alarm bells ringing for most people.

They will adapt over time though, especially as converts completely to digital money, the cross over from digital fiat to Bitcoin won't be as big of a leap then.

People are well aware about the market, now media is in a situation to stay away from spreading rumours that shatter the market. Everything is kinda business, so better the tag higher will be the viewers of the particular news. So, it shouldn't be taken into consideration. Different news associated with cryptocurrency keeps rolling, it is our responsibility to analyse and go on the right track without falling as a prey for unwanted news.

Nothing new to be honest since this has been the talks of those who like to FUD on Bitcoin but history tells that they haven't been correct on that notion. Those who make FUDs are also those people who want those cheap Bitcoins in the market, I do hope that people will realize this. They use these kind of tactics to manipulate the market and nothing more.

I use to laugh over those who think Bitcoin hard either died or crashed before, it's quite a big joke to always see that news as most of the media houses are owned by the government, and since media is a tool in the hand of the government they used them the way that suits them.

I mean would anyone read an article about Bitcoin being alive? Most journalists make articles where people would actually be intrigued, and saying that Bitcoin died after the countless hypes this year seems like a better article for one to read, even if most of the contents are well, bs. Plus, it's a lot easier to fan the fire than extinguish it, so hop on to the Haters train and you can pretty much get the attention of readers from all around.
My question is why are those anti Bitcoin media always peddling rumors about Bitcoin each time the coin increase in it the price is their work with the government just to discredit Bitcoin, why is mainstream media always used to perpetrate evils against oppositions.
Well, there's your answer. It's "mainstream".

why is mainstream media always used to perpetrate evils against oppositions.
It's like the usual market where there are people who opposes and hates. And it's like the celebrities and athletes that has haters and it will never be gone.

Possible is also that there are personalities, the real haters of bitcoin that are paying the media to cover whatever they say negatively about bitcoin.

You have to bear with it and just get used to it.

There will always be haters and critics to any aspect of the market.
Now, it is up to you how you will filter and react on those criticisms.
You have to find your own way how to address this matter, because if you will just follow what they've been saying.
You will be disappointed, screwed or regret on what you are reading or seeing.
Identify the positive and negative things, and act on what you think will improve your status in this market.
No one can help you but yourself. So don't rely on what's been suggested on the media.
Most of the time, they have ulterior motives why they are spreading some false information.

Isn't it normal that the media always exposes cryptocurrencies with excessive FUDs? but on the other hand they also sometimes preach how hype Bitcoin and crypto are. Actually, isn't this a draw?
moreover that's the media. He will always be like this to get a lot of attention from his readers and listeners.
And as crypto enthusiasts, we shouldn't be too influenced by the news created by these various media. especially FUD news

The mainstream media has become the pawn of the left-leaning people and since the left do not have any love for Bitcoin or cryptocurrency in general it has become the mouthpiece of the left agenda. And because they have hidden agenda, they can easily forget good and professional research, fairness and just common sense. We can see this kind of attitude with many media outfits...in fact many of them are so willing to ferret fake news if it can fit to their made-up narrative. Good thing that the mainstream media is not anymore as powerful as in the past...so many people are not anymore listening to them and many will face the other way around to things they are saying. I am sure that in 2022, it would just be the same: Bitcoin can be dead a lot of times. I am just happy that Bitcoin has this special kind of resiliency...always resurrecting after death.

My question is why are those anti Bitcoin media always peddling rumors about Bitcoin~
Most of them aren't either pro or anti bitcoin. They are just media outlets that are desperate for any kind of attention so they write articles that go with the existing market mood. That means negative articles (ie. bitcoin is dead) during downtrends and positive articles (ie. bitcoin to the moon) during rises. That way they capitalize on traffic.

MSM are just further extensions of the government. Any reporting they do is editorialized activism. Large corporations own media companies, and there isn't any competition anymore between the sources that people are fed, so you have your answer. After two years of economic recklessness during Covid, you think the media would have caught on and reported such travesties. But nope, it's not about reporting the truth, never was.

Lol! Mainstream media has lost credibility long back. The moment corporates with deep pocket jumped into this space and started packaging news as a commodity, it all has became a business. The journalism is dead, officially! Also banks are there to fill in their pockets with cold hard cash to run anti-bitcoin propaganda. So as a business, media houses are doing exactly what they are asked to do by their owners with vested interest.

But did that make bitcoin look bad? Absolutely no! Bitcoin is still becoming more and more popular amongst the millennials and billion dollars of businesses are being built around the eco-system. So you can safely ignore these propaganda news.

The media is a weapon used to influence the emotions that control the price and price differences mean buying more Bitcoin and making profits. Therefore, you will find that many platforms search for news and try to spread it.

Secondly, people always look for negative news to try to understand why the price went down and therefore more views mean more advertising profits.
Countries’ policies differ according to many economic factors. You will find that some countries adopt Bitcoin to get more money from taxes, and some want to keep their cash.

The price is more than $40K, they still say it's dead. One day those media men will be dead. but BTC lives on.

Now that there are institutions, companies, and banks also buying BTC, they could use some fud from the media and who knows what news could come out one day but news will make holders confused just as the Chinese government did in the past. One example that the media would say is like the government is banning BTC but at the end of the day after many of the hoders sold thier coins they'd say the SEC denounce it.

I laughed a little reading this thread. How do they know bitcoin is dead? They just spread FUD so that many people panic to sell it. Then they use it for personal gain. They don't want to buy it at the current price and want to buy it at a low price. That's why they spread the news like that.
Aren't there a few institutions, influencers who invest in bitcoin?

Hahahaha I was amused to see this, because I thought it was one of their strategies to be able to buy bitcoin at a cheap price, therefore they made a FUD so they don't miss out on investing their assets in bitcoin and without us knowing the price of bitcoin goes up every year, and at this time in early 2022 bitcoin increased by approximately 36,383.75%

Since they didn't understand it, that was actually the reason.
there are fewer reasons to dislike bitcoin than to dislike the Ordinary national currency.
and if they love money or any reason, try to take some time to learn about bitcoin.

bitcoin is better than money, just ignore the media or anything that tries to bring down bitcoin because over time they will realize it and will get involved, because bitcoin or crypto can still be said to be new so it's only natural that there are still many who don't like it.

The mainstream media is considered anti bitcoin so they are definitely closed minded and would not accept positive news about bitcoin and refused to understand bitcoin more. So they keep on publishing negativity about bitcoin and claiming its dead already a lot of times, and as for those readers who are also not knowledgeable on bitcoin, they easily believed on the negative news.  But if they will come to analyze it, bitcoin is even more progressive and continue to grow every year.

How many times Bitcoin had died?

https://99bitcoins.com/bitcoin-obituaries/
https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/currencies/bitcoin-potential-declared-dead-media-402-times-since-inception-track-2021-3

Not really surprising that media would really be having those kind of sentiments. They would be focusing most in con's without
saying the pros. Whose behind into those kind of calls? Its the Government and its not really that surprising.
