Title: Is the Nvidia RTX 3060 rev 1.0 full hash rate
Post by: jasoncool on January 04, 2022, 01:30:53 AM
Hi there,

I want to know whether the RTX 3060 rev 1.0 is full hash rate or limited hash rate. Have anyone used 3060 rev 1.0 and was able to get 60 MHs?

Thanks

If I recall right with the nvidia driver 470.05, yes.

Thanks @Metroid. I think 470.05 driver is only available for windows and must register as a developer before using it. I thought rev 1.0 cards are full hash rate and only rev 2.x or V2 are LHR cards.

At least in my 3070 rev 1.0 I get full hash rate with regular installation and was wondering if it is the same with 3060.

the 3060 Rev. 1.0 gets @47MHash only with 470.05 drivers... that is their full hashrate.  Any drivers later than that are limited by the drivers.  the 3060 rev 1.0 has never gotten 60mhash.   You might be confusing the 3060ti for the 3060 as the 3060ti rev 1.0 gets 60 mhash.

3060 non LHR are not made to get 60MH I believe that hashrate speed belongs to it's brother 3060ti so the max I see a non LHR 3060 gets is 47MH, gigabyte RTX GPUs are the ones that use REV number identification 1.0 and 2.0 pretty easy to figure out which is LHR and which is not

It looks like you are talking about the Gigabyte manufacturer as they use rev 1.0 for non LHR cards and 2.0 for LHR cards V1 (there are even rev 3.0 which stands for V2 LHR even more limited). The maximum this card does with the 470 driver is no more than 49 Mhsh.

The correct settings for the card are
Core voltage -200
Power limit 70%
Memory clock +1400 (as maximum but you can start from 1000 until your reach the best stable working settings for you).

Out of 10 RTX cards that I have 8 of them are gigabyte, I choose this manufacturer because it's easy to identify it's LHR version and non LHR versions with just rev1.0 (non LHR) and rev2.0 (LHR) and also gigabyte cards are very common than others in my country

All rtx 3060 cards are LHR, but LHR1 cards with 470.05 beta driver on windows, x16 riser port and hdmi dongle can unlock them.

51MHASH is possible with the latest cuda 11.2 build of Team Black Miner.

Without the driver, hdmiplug or x16 pci port you can run in --lhr-unlock mode. around 35MHASH with the Team Black Miner.

The Team Black Miner 1.35 can partially unlock all LHR cards at a reduced rate.

LHR1, LHR2, LHR3

example:

Gigabyte Auros 3070 LHR3 (V2 LHR) ~42MHASH.

Must register what? Wow I'm just hearing this for the first time I've seen many people using this driver 470.05 for their 3060 GPU and they never made mention of any registry before and I'm running mine on hiveOS with same driver and I have no issue at all and no registration needed

Beta driver 470.05 can be downloaded without registration if you use the searches or links in this topic.
If your video card 3070 rev 1.0 gives a full hashrate, then you are very lucky, and this is not the LHR version.
The 3060 video card had problems at the very beginning, and a normal hash rate was possible only when using pci-e x16.

Thank you for the clarification. I will see if I can find a 3060 ti for a reasonable price :)

You might be confusing the 3060ti for the 3060 as the 3060ti rev 1.0 gets 60 mhash.

Does this mean 3060 ti has no restrictions on hashrate and can reach 60Mhs with any version of driver and without any special configuration or unlocking?

No LNR models of the 3060ti will not get 60+mhs on eth.
Only original release (short time back in January 2021) can get the full hashrate.
LHR V1 3060ti could get full hashrate but had to be in x16 slot with 16 pci lanes and dummy dongle with specific version of driver only working in windows.

Let's stop confusing one another here fellas a 3060 can only do 50MH max if it's the non LHR GPU only a 3060ti can do 60-62MH with ease, the Ti version is more powerful than the non Ti 3060

The non-LHR version 3060 ti works with any driver but gives 60-62 megahashes. But in stores for a long time they have been selling only LHR versions, which can give 40-45 megahash and higher electricity consumption.
Ethereum is not the most profitable coin for mining on these graphics cards.
