Please someone should guide me on how to post images here on Bitcointalk.
I am finding it very difficult to post charts.

Hi.

1. Please move this topic to Meta, since it's forum related. You can see a link on bottom-left area for the purpose.
2. You need to either rank up to Jr.Member (see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178608 ) either buy copper membership (see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote ) for posting images that will also be seen.
3. You don't actually post images here. You post them onto a website like imgur and then link it here. Imgur even has the proper tag you need after you've uploaded your image. For now you can post the link to the image and ask a higher rank to quote it for getting displayed.

Newbies can not post image. To be able to post image(s), buy a copper membership as illustrated on above second link or rank to junior member. You have one merit already, you images will appear after you rank up to junior member, expect that after having 30 activities. (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818350.0). So you can post the link as I will explain now. When you rank up to Jr member or buy a copper membership, you images will appear.

Use a computer or change your phone broswer to a computer version. It does not work on mobile version
Visit https://imgur.com
At the left upper corner, click on 'new post'
Then click on 'choose image'
Choose the image you want to post
It will be uploaded on the site
On the image, click on the leftmost upper corner
Click on the three dots that appear
Click on 'get shared links'
Then click on BBCode (Forums)
Paste the image here on this forum.

It will look like this:


If the image has later appeared, to resize, adjust the height and width.

Apparently, this is all the lessons one might need a it concerns the forum. Though, for know, it just counts towards your need to know until your of appropriate rank to enable you post images on the forum. Notably, it all comes in codes, so you have to ensure the code is paste just right to avoid error or broken links.

Speaking of links, it's the one way of posting images on the forum. You can either upload it on a third party bitcointalk approved site like Imgur.com, copy the link and paste it here for interested forum users to reference or you could ask a user to help you paste the image and then you quote it unto your post. That's if its most necessary that you add you add image.

That is true, and it is also possible to use imgur mobile app without needing to log in on the website and I find it more user friendly.

Learn how to use the forum search button, then you can post an image.

I believe above all answers are enough to help you post with images. Whether you need to buy copper membership or wait to become at least Jr. Member. Since you have earned 1 merit so you will become Jr. Member once you achieve 28 activities. So better wait for that if you don't have urgency.

I do not think you need to log in to Imgur website to use their image hosting service. It works for guest accounts as well.

By the way, there is also imgbb.com as an alternative.

Only Jr.Mmeber and above ranked members can post images in bitcointalk and you already have 1 merit which is enough to be a Jr.Member but all you need is activity and if you still can't wait then just buy coppermembership and don't forget to wear it.

Yep, no need to login which is recommended too, just go to https://imgur.com/upload once the upload finished you can get the share links as well.

Yes, I agree with this using the mobile app Imgur is good to use like what you said. I am using this app too to upload an image here in the bitcointalk forum

I can verify that's true, which it wasn't maybe a year ago.  It's so nice not to have to log into another website just to post a single image to include in a post.

OP, you got all your answers and you're on your way to becoming a Jr. Member, which will allow you to post images.  In the meantime if you want to post with an image in it, I can quote the post for you so it'll show up if you drop me a PM.  Good luck on the forum, and may your skin be thick!

That's one way to do it. But someone brand-new to the forum can get confused with manually editing BBcodes. If OP registers and makes an account on Imgur, the site will provide him with a simple way to resize the images he has uploaded with a click of a button. It's not always perfect, but it has helped me many times. After selecting the size he wants, all he has to do is click on the copy button above and paste the results into the forum.

I may be late to help you on how to post images and the bbcodes needed to post images is already provided and all you need to deposit is to copy the link of the image you uploaded. Just make it ends in image format like .jpeg, .png and other image format that bitcointalk supported. As of now, you are not eligible to post images due to your rank which is still a newbie. To be able to post images, you need a jr. member rank which requires 1 merit and 60 activity points just do a research on how to achieve that requirements and second is to buy copper membership which you don't need to rank up but have to pay btc. To upload images you can use imgur app or on site and other same apps or services that let you upload images that will be shared.

No, to become a Jr member, OP only requires 30 activity points, 60 is a requirement to become a member but with 10 merit.

Buying copper members is one of the recommended options to get some advantages especially posting image  and also waiting time limit between posts. But if the OP doesn't really need it then I think he just needs to increase his activity and the posted image will be shown as soon as he reaches Jr rank.

Yeah, I mistyped it. I guess it's because I am thinking of something else when I posted that one. Thanks for the correction by rhe way. I thought I have typed it 30 instead of 60. Maybe it's because of the auto suggest or I am thinking of something else that made me type 60. To be honest, I was thinking of 30 and I didn't noticed that I typed 60. I wouldn't have noticed it if you didn't point it out LOL. I hope that it's not typhoon rai's fault or the damage that it cause.

See @OP you have already been told by the members that to post images you need to be atleast junior rank member or buy copper membership of the forum.But as you have already reached 19 activity and required 1 merit you only need to have additional 11 activity points on your profile to reach junior member on forum.




So just remain active for another distribution period and you will be able to post images on forum.But if you are in haste you can go the other way of  copper membership  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote)

It's better to preview your post before posting and check for errors as human mind is prone to errors but this can be avoided easily with this feature.So make sure you always check your post before posting so as it is always on point.

For the time being, you can upload your images here https://imgur.com/ and share the links. The image will appear as a link only but if anyone quote it, then others will be able to see the images on the forum (else people can still see your images by clicking the link).

Once you become Jr. Member, ( You already have the merit and the activity requirements fulfilled, Just make another 11 posts and you will be jr member) , then you can post the images directly on the forum.
