Test Net fees are completely different... Minting a new ERC-20 token contract is almost .15 ETH.

Yes, the contract costs around that but the minting from the contract as OWNER should be a lot lower, let me aks you may have a point.

Unless and until you are very serious about your project, launching NFT projects on ETH is literally a waste of money TBH. For instance, if you are developing a ground breaking game which has cool graphics etc, ETH blockchain will be better as there are more exposure from various whales but on the whole if you are creating NFTs just for fun and to learn about them, deploying them on SOL is the only easiest and cheapest way.

To learn more about the inner workings of NFT Digital artworks on a technical level, I created a project from ground, deployed it on SOL blockchain which costed around ~$100/2k images for me but considering the insanely poor artwork no one literally bought that and it was a failure lol  ;D Though I spent the ~$100 to learn about the inner workings, it was really a great entry point for me into the space as I was able to learn about the scams and other legit stuffs happening over as well  :)

What kind of marketing have you even done yet ? lol You can easily get some of these minted if the cost was like .05 to mint and did a Discord / Twitter.

As an example, https://meditate.justjane.art/ (This is a friend's project, not mine in any way)! is a collection of 6k nfts - .021 ETH to mint + Gas..  There is also a whitelist (Maybe still open?) in discord to get one for free with just gas fees. I'm not sure how much it cost him to do it all but it wasn't cheap, I am sure! :P

Since the fees on Eth are quite high I needed to use a decent price otherwise the price of fees was above the minting price.
(I can change the price on smart contract)

Degens don't care about gas prices when minting NFTs.

I like it. It's like a front-facing crypto-punks. LOL. But since this is just a Profile Picture NFT, it really is best to lower the price or better yet, create different levels of prices depending on the NFT rarities; that's what most NFT creators do nowadays. Also, it would be best to change the Twitter handle to something related to the NFT project. Ex. @dudeface for it to be much easier to search and recognizable. Then think of any utility of it, like if someone buys and holds this NFT then they'll get another NFT airdrop or access to a crypto-game (you can find partnerships for that).
