Is the only difference between prefork and post fork is that pre fork has about $0.38 worth of bch on it?

Yes that’s it, it’s got .001 worth of bcash. May have some other forks that are worthless.

bch, bsv, bcg, bcd, bcha (now called xec/ecoin) are the primary forks and the ones with the most value, but then there are still a bunch of other forks as well.

Pre fork on a satori is a negligible premium from a $ value, but pre fork may be worth more for a collector.

However as they ceased production in April 2018 (12 months after the fork) The question is which is rarer?

https://satoricoin.jp/en/sales.php

Surely someone here can find the number of pre v post fork satori coins

edit: after a bit of fucking around and Im sure Im Wrong.....
Based on this: https://satoricoin.jp/btckey020000.pdf

It seems the first 30500 are pre fork, the remaining 09499 are post fork.

030500 seems to be the the last one with BCH. https://blockchair.com/search?q=1HbyQqnkx3QB2x74NgKoEBMXoFTBrebgZ8

030501 does not. https://blockchair.com/search?q=1HWBR2MJcz48ZzHCvBfmJuGt1J33XDHjCR

which would make post forks 3x rarer than pre fork.

Again, please correct me if Im wrong and I should learn to read the first couple of posts properly. Hhampuz knew the details 3 years ago

Does anyone know if these last 500 were sold or perhaps kept by the makers ?
I think the highest number I’ve got is in the 44,000s, anyone have a 50,000 serial ?

You have a 44K? That throws my ratio out the window.

according to this https://satoricoin.jp/btckey040000.pdf they did indeed run to 050500
https://satoricoin.jp/en/bitcoin.php

well, that makes it almost even with post fork "slightlly" rarer.
30500 pre fork, 20000 post fork.

I may be wrong but I think I recall Lesbian Cow saying she did a purchase of their final batch and the last roll ever produced had a sticker on it saying it was quality checked by the owner of satori company ....again I'm 90% sure it was Lesbian Cow otherwise it is another person on this forum

Is there a way to check this? When I plug in the address all it shoes is bch worth .38 cents.

I think that site might be in need up update - it is showing coins on an old btc address I swept and already sold the bch/bsv and such but the site still shows those as being there.

funny how a single address shows so many forks.

nah - its still good to show what forks did exist, it just isnt verifying if they are still present on the address.

I wonder if there is a new site out there that’s being updated like that ninja site. That’s such a great site, if there isn’t one out there one of our resident mr robots should draw one up  :)  Would something like this be very difficult to build?

Does anyone have a pdf file of the Satoricoin serial list?
The site is gone and I'm having trouble finding a list from 20500 to 40000 on the wayback machine.

I saw an auction recently and the seller listed only the number of the roll. So if you only have the roll number, can you determine the serials of the chips? I think so because I think Satoris were only sold in rolls. The math is simple if all that is true. It would also mean rolls 1-1525 are prefork and roll #s 1526 to 2525 are post.

Prefork  000001 - 030500 or rolls #1 - 1525
Postfork 030501 - 050500 or rolls # 1526 - 2525

I think rolls started after chip 10000

Also, some rolls skipped chip numbers due to production/quality issues

Thanks for the pdf file and pre-fork info, now I can check the serial no. I have on hand!
