It's always good to invest in a new projects but you must seek significant information first as well before anythings else because as you said there's so many scam project. so in order to prevent such things better to invest time first to assure your money is in a safe place.. Fundamental analysis is the most important mate and keep seeking for more information and data about the project to figure it out if they can guarantee a good return after all or if they're scam or not of course..just always put efforts and patience when it comes investing..

No and if it's a yes, it's not going to be with the project that you've mentioned.

You're not afraid of losing money because if you do, you're going to avoid most of the new projects and won't invest with them. As someone who's afraid, I'll make sure that I'll be investing to the known projects and cryptocurrencies.

The first on the list will be bitcoin and then Ethereum.

That's the type of investing style that I'll be doing if I'm someone who's scared of scam projects.

There are so many new project in the crypto world and every project seems to be very promising at first but end up wrongly. Most importantly its not about investing in a new project but investing in one with a well detailed roadmap and erudite team. Yesterday i came across a project called MCOIN which read and see that the project  M-coin (https://m-coin.io/) aims to disrupt the cloud storage industry by eliminating the current industry barriers. M-coin network is working on the development of a reliable cloud data storage that promises low costs and security for the user’s data.

Investing in new project is really good if the project has a use.

I think you should study first the white paper of that project and check the credibility of the developers. As we know right now there are too
many rugpulls. Even though the projecct has a really good white paper or use if the
developers are having some hidden agenda, then it is not safe.

so better check the background of the team developing the project.

Yes but only for the short term, and for a selected few, because I was extra careful now on choosing the newly created projects because I have too many bad experiences with the new projects before, that's why Im not going to give another shot but only for those real projects and not those shady ones. Anyway thanks for sharing I'll read that whitepaper to explore it further.

Another yield farming project. Why not just stick with Binance, then? That's more trusted than any new projects.
There is so much work to do researching about them so I just read the introduction part. It's not that bad but it's still a risk because of the competition they will have which as I said is one of the popular exchange in the world.
How could they maximize the increase of value if the competition is that high? I'd rather invest in new projects that focuses on the gaming industry which is exploding right now. Another option would be in the gambling industry.

I am not sure if new projects are worth it or not but some new projects can become potential to give us profit in the future, but that will not be easy to identify which new projects can do that. It needs more observation to find the right new projects from many of them.

Suppose you want to invest in that project. In that case, you need to search for more details about the project and not just read their whitepaper because many projects can easily copy-paste the other project's whitepaper. Besides that, you need to have a reason why the new project can become bigger in the future and we can be wrong in picking the project without having the right information.

I can only suggest you be careful to invest in any new project and only use the money you can afford because we do not know what will happen in the future.

I suggest that you should only invest on project listed on reputable launchpad like BSC Station, BSClaunchpad, Koistarter and many more. Its better to start DYOR on project listed there to minimize the risk of being scam since launchpad already do KYC and screen the project before they will list it. Launchpad gives investor a lesser risk on investing on startup project rather than DYOR from scratch without any insider info about the project.

Right now I feel vulnerable with DeFi projects because we are entering a bear market if there is a Fraud-prone DeFi-based project. I've also checked the social media of the projects you share. There is no progress, just sales. If you buy the risk.

This project didn't even have popularity among the crypto investors. If you are investing your money in this one and you  may be scammed and your money will be gone. This project looks very suspicious. You should invest in the project that has good reputation. You must not make your money. it's too risky to invest in a project that you didn't know how reputable the project is.
Do your own research.

It is now too difficult to invest in new projects, due to the large number of projects, the essence is only in their own enrichment, but there is no final product. And therefore, all my investments at the moment are just a game for an increase or a fall.

To be honest, it's hard to check the legitimacy of new projects these days because most of them were created to scam people. However, if you really want to invest in new projects, you have to do a series of research to have assurance that you wouldn't get scammed. You must check their whitepaper as well as the team behind them but as for me, I would still prefer investing with well-established coins.

You are here to promote octafarm it seems, if all you want to ask is making profits out of new crypto coins why sharing a white paper of a project you hardly know? Anyways do your own research and invest only what you can afford to lose, most new projects are crap that won't show in take but later the truth will be revealed

Again, I remind you that by investing with money you can afford to lose

I also often invest in new projects but often lose even though their concepts in the whitepaper are written convincingly and well

That also applies to the Octafarm project above, no one can guarantee whether it will bring you a profit, you just need to believe and be prepared for all the bad things that might happen when you invest in

I can't comment much on that project but you can refer to their community and see what others think about the project.

Check their website. It should have a link for their community platforms such as Telegram.

In that way, you can talk and share views with those users who are also following that project.

I try to avoid them. I do not understand this fetish towards the "brand new" projects. I get that you may make 1000x even more returns if you struck gold, but that is so rare and yet a lot of people still test it. The amount of money lost on brand new projects that end up being a scam or failed could have been used on other big names and took them to a higher level. We do not have the total amount but if we took the total amount and used that to buy bitcoin, I am sure that we would be breaking the ATH price right now.

This is why I do not like them, even though I do not buy them myself, it still impacts the market enough to bother me and my portfolio as well.

I don't think this is the right time to think about investing into new project as we might enter bear market anytime and project may be paused or may not achieve desired result.

Apart from the market conditions it's bit difficult to select a genuine projects especially when so many whitepapers are reported for plagiarism and we have seen so many scams going on but one good project can make us much rich, I would suggest to check it in multiple forums. It's nothing short of gamble to invest into new projects
I agree on you. Investing in new projects will bring more risk and worst is, we might end up investing in scam projects. I think it will be better if we focus on the old and established coins for now because even if we are in tough times right now considering that the market becomes to look more bearish, i know those coins will always recover because their demands never lost. But for new projects, their value is not yet proven so there are no guarantees for them.

For new projects we need to look further because after all it is to ensure that the new project is completely free from scams,
Of course something like that can't be a guarantee but at least it can minimize the risk

Many scam projects are existing nowadays and majority of them are newly launch. Its worth to invest if the project has potential and could be a gem, however its not going to be easy finding such project because even scam can look legit. Thats why we need to conduct an extensive research to find a hidden gem on new projects.

When you invest and buy the chosen coin, then you have done your research before buying.
if you look at the website of this project, it looks good because it has been audited by Certik and 2 other audit platforms.
The supply of tokens is also large, I hope the price can last and a lot of investors come in.
keep an eye on the progress and progress of the project, because there will be many new projects competing for this project in the future.

There are many scam projects. Majority of the projects are scams. The rest of those that are not scams are probably not going to gain much success because there's almost nothing new that new projects are offering. If they're offering new things, they're not really necessary in real life.

So if I were you I would rather use my money intended for this altcoin's investment to buy the top coins right now. The prices are cheaper. Bitcoin is way cheaper than its all time high. Ethereum is also cheap. Other top altcoins are also cheap. Go buy them and forget this new altcoin.

Title: Re: Do you invest in new projects?

In my opinion, new projects are scammed most of the time there are many good projects but not all of them work the same way. Therefore before buying new projects you have to determine the quality of the project if you want to invest, you have to take risks. Investors also need to be aware of the risks in advance, but bitcoin and ethereum are cheaper and more reliable than new projects there is no chance of these being scammed.

90% of my crypto assets are from new projects (still under 1 year), I never worry about spreading money on new projects because I do selective and long analysis, of course not all new projects can skyrocket in a short time, it takes a long time enough to prove to the public.

there will be new opportunities when investing in new projects. However, it should be realized that not all new projects have the same potential. in fact, if you are not careful, it can make you invest in the wrong place. So, always prioritize doing research before making an investment.

for the place of investment that you are interested in right now, I'm just looking at the general stuff on those investments. other than that, I see that there is no partnership working with this project. well, but that's just my opinion, but maybe someone else can see the potential in this project.

For me it is now all about projects with real utility and compliance with regulations, no more meme coins!

My top 3 Altcoins in my portfolio for 2022 right now are:

$UBT & http://Baseledger.net
Baseline Protocol is set to go mainstream in 2022, their mainnet launches this quarter along with staking and Nodes, also new exchange rumours and so on. Consensys and SAP amongst others are involved. A lot of info will drop before end of Jan about launch etc. Founding council members can be seen on Baseledger.Foundation and more will be joining.

$BLXM http://Bloxmove.com
Reinventing mobility, links to Daimler (think mercedes). Also has an LP mining programme, and single asset staking in Feb. Very strong team backing it and small mcap.

$MOVE http://viaMover.com
Supercharged DeFi Savings 100%+ APY + crypto debit card. Tiny market cap and rumours of big partnership with OlympusDao on the way. Strong pair of founders and a growing team and ecosystem. NFTs, web wallet, mobile wallet and so on. Fiat on and off ramps via IBAN.

DYOR

What are the chances for this coin alone not to be turning as a scam in near future?
Who knows, already it might be scam or might have been launched with the intention of pump to lure investors and then to dump. So, it would be better if you explain why you choose this particular coin even you are aware of all about the scam frequency of this altcoin industry.

It is always been suggested at every nook and corner of this forum to choose bitcoin alone or prefer bitcoin for 80 to 90% of your capital and for the rest of capital, you may go for top and reputed altcoins. Definitely everyone must avoid all new projects by letting them grow on its own.

Investing in a new project is still worth it, in fact, I have a second set of portfolios exclusively for new coins, mostly play to earn coins, and blockchain-based projects, as long as you dig deep in the project and you will not feel depressed on the outcome of the project, I don't see any wrong investing in a new coin, it's great to be one of the early bird of one good project where you can make 1000% return after a few months or year of holding, just like what happens to Solana early birds.

Wow, that is good for you mate. You'll be in success not by through luck, well, I guess not but it was because you've made the right choice of picking up legit projects over these thousand of new (fake) projects.

This can't be deniable since many people had made their way good to investing new projects and perhaps, I have made that also but, of course, it doesn't work always, sometimes we've got tricked. I've suffered some losses but still not the reason for not investing again, there are some new projects that are worth trusting.

sometimes new projects are good and some are scam I think, if you want to invest in new tokens, you should look for project details, more importantly if you are sure why ask other people, because other people's opinions will make you regret if you experience profit but you don't buy
loss when you buy but the coins you have zonk
and you have to remember that crypto transactions are mandatory DYOR

and currently I avoid investing in new projects, where market conditions are uncertain, and the goal is to reduce the minus of existing assets

Personally, I have, but for now, I'm not because I'm not really sure about that. Maybe if there is a project that I think is good and the prospects are also good I will try it again. It's not a matter of profit or not but investing in a new project has a big risk too so we really have to choose it correctly. I am more interested in investing in coins that are certain and reliable to avoid things that are not desirable. But it all depends on each individual if you can choose a project with good prospects then it will certainly be very profitable later.

Without the presence of new projects then I believe cryptocurrencies are dead, new projects provide innovative ideas and trends that benefit coins that have a strong market, investing in new projects is certainly very profitable but we have to be careful because many are scams.
I agree with what you said, maybe we didn't get to now when there really weren't that many new projects every day.
On the other hand, we also know that every project does not mean that the new project is shitcoin and contains all the hype, because there may be people who really want to make a good project, even though looking for a project like that is like looking for a needle in a haystack because there are so many waste projects. who really only wants to benefit the developer

I do not agree with you on this one. I mean if you are investing only a small portion that you do not care about then it could be true but if you are investing a big amount then it is not a smart move at all. I get that you may think what you buy will end up like Solana but the reality is that for every 1000 coins that come out, there is just one solana. Which is why most of the investments you do into new projects needs to be very careful.

I am not saying that you can't, but the odds are very low and you need to research and find those good ones very carefully, otherwise you are going to end up losing a lot of money. I have seen a lot of people losing a total of millions of dollars in new coins, so it is not really something I am unaware of, it is a topic I am very well aware and seen with my own eyes so new projects are very risky and it is obvious.

If you find it more legit and will come out more successful based on what have you researched, then you are very free to put your luck in it and invest even in just a minimal amount. What matters is that you never invest on an amount you can never afford to lose.

However, if you are still in doubt, then stick with those old yet promising projects. Established projects are most likely to end up successful than to put your trust on new projects and end up making you scammed.

I think this project is also promising. but it's all up to you personally. if you think this is the right time to start, I hope you are not wrong to invest in this project..
This should always based on your own research so you decide if you’re going to buy or not. Investing on new projects are fine, as long as its a legit project and you see their potential, just don’t invest big since you still don’t know if those projects are worth it or not. Personally, I don’t invest on new project during bear market, I’m too focus on top coins.

Right now i don’t want to focus on new projects because of my last few projects couldn’t meet with my exception even though those coin price now traded below down in pre sale price.
Instead of being busy looking for something new, why don't we just look at the old and promising projects.
I think it will be much better than busy looking for new projects that don't necessarily get good ones. On the other hand, looking for new projects also takes quite a long time considering that every day and even every hour there will always be a new project that can't be held back.

People couldnt really just resist on not to look into something new since the earlier the better you could really potentially make out profits which you couldnt able to obtain
when you are dealing with older projects and thats a fact.Even myself dont really consider out those solid old projects/coins out there but finding out some gem
even though its hard but if you do able to hit the right spot then it would really be worth off but you should always consider on playing safe at least
no matter what the cost and this is where people do really differs out.

hello everyone i want to ask that investing in new projects has worth or not because to many scams projects now a days and i am afraid of losing money.
Investing in the new project is always worth as long as you can pick up the best one. Scam projects are only coming for people who didn't wanna did a research for that and they are randomly investing in any project without knowing about the background of the project. This makes them got scammed by scammers. They didn't know if that was running by scammer and scammer unning away with their money. If you're feeling afraid with it and then you must go to the legit project. You can go to the icodrop to get a better project rather than your octafarm. It sounds like another trap by scammer.

i wanna invest in octafarm.fi and this project looks really amazing and unique and the team looks professional what you guys think about this i need suggestions may be you guys know better than me.

This looks like a scam project.

Honestly, it is difficult to decide whether the new projects are worthy or not because it needs deep analysis and research on the project itself. Not only about the promise from the team about the future of the project, but also analysing their team, use case, clear and convincing roadmap, exchanges to list, mechanism, and other factors.
Personally, I will only invest in new projects that do launchpads in the reputable and top exchanges. I have several times invested in project launchpad in Binance, but I am not the person who is holding the coins for the long term. I will take profits as soon as possible if this has reached the target or has reached a certain price increase.

I ma not sure whether this new project is really convincing or not, scam or not.
The only one that may be interesting is their feature of BuyBack service. This coin will be also listed on PancakeSwap as other new projects are also commonly listed firstly there.
Well, if you are a high-risk taker that is ready for the risk of losing money, just do it. But if you have some worries, just leave it, and better to invest in top coins or coins with a high cap. Once more, only invest the amount that you can afford to lose.

If investing is not worth right now and im sure that anyone will not try to get into the private sale or IDO, IEO and many more. If you are digging a big into the reality in the market and you will be seeing that if this time people are looking for the new project caused by they can get very big ROI. that's why they are investing into the new project caused by they wanna get a chance to be a lucky person that invested into the project with tens or hundreds of times ROI.

i wanna invest in octafarm.fi
It shows that possible up to 7000% ROI and what a big joke, even the creator if this project already projected how many TVL that will be achieved by its platform.

and this project looks really amazing and unique and the team looks professional what you guys think about this i need suggestions may be you guys know better than me.
So many complaints on its telegroup and this project didn't even generate good ROI. How can you call that this project is amazing?

on the other hand it sure would be great to be in early adoption on a new project but to find a project that really has potential is not as easy as one might think.
being on a project that has been around for a long time is more secure than looking for something uncertain.
I will agree with you to say something in a safe manner in this case

Please feel free if dare to take the risk of investing in new projects, which in my opinion are very high risk. Indeed, there is a possibility that if we are
lucky by choosing good new projects, the profit generated will be very large. But there is no guarantee that new projects will definitely succeed
in pumping high, there are also many new projects that end up being shitcoins. It is necessary to do research and analysis correctly, so that
we do not make the wrong decisions. I am like you, choosing to focus on investing in top coins, which are indeed much less risky and also safer
for investment. Because top coins are more predictable, and top coins have a very high demand, so the price recovers faster if it declines.

Amazing and unique you say, but I don't see any of it in this project, first, this is very similar to the projects that did rug pull on many investors and the 7000% annual percentage yield is being highlighted to attract investors when it's the platform that is very important for any project, I don't mean to discourage you to invest but only invest what you can afford to lose and you seem not 100% sure on this one so don't pour everything.

Actually it's not a matter of new or old projects that is of particular concern at this time, when we start investing anywhere, then the main thing we see is development, Team and concepts, many old projects also don't give maximum results or vice versa with new projects, Honestly I Haven't checked the new project you mentioned, but I think if the project is good according to analysis, then do some consideration and see the concept of project development, whether they have opportunities in the future or just speculation and hype they are doing, because it's important for us to know.

In my opinion, you need a lot of observation or research that you have to do, because every new project, sometimes very profitable, is extraordinary, but also vulnerable to the risk of losing our money, bro, so it's not enough just to look at the contents of the whitepaper they embed, but we  also need to see how it develops on the website and also the telegram they use, and how big their community is, so that the project will really be a success in the future.
I just want to correct this a little bit because I don't think all new projects are profitable or even more in the opposite direction.
the comparison is huge when it comes to comparing good projects to lots of bad projects in a day.
even though not all the projects that are made every day are bad but most of them are like that and that is a fact
