Title: Will there be Metaverse regulations on Gambling
Post by: paxmao on January 17, 2022, 02:27:40 PM
As many of you know, Facebook (now "Meta") is going to invest a bucketfull of money over the next few years to make sure they are the reference on the Metaverse. That does not mean they will succeed, but it is a sign of thing coming.

There is no doubt that there will be interest in Metaverse game playing and that Meta, Roblox or whoever gets the lead will have to take a stance on how they decide to regulate their world. Where do you see betting on this matter?

To begin with, metaverse is more of a concept now! Some companies have definitely started developing digital world or digital assets to become a part of metaverse, but we don't know which direction it is indeed going to take!

This entire thing has started taking shape but it is still at a very nascent stage. So it is difficult to say if there will be regulation on gambling or not. But I understand that the companies who control their own metaverse, will have to bring in some sort of regulation as per their location from where they are operating from, if at all they want to get into gambling on metaverse.

Considering how Facebook had tons of probelms and issues regarding how they treated Privacy, I wonder if people would seek out their platform when other sensible options are clearly available. The whole concept of Gambling on the metaverse platform is something that I might not get involved with, again personal choices but at the end of the day I think we have to understand that they will definately regulate it, at the same time undoubtedly they will process the users data for other things as well. I would like to keep metaverse and the whole gambling business wide apart, we already have tons of options right now and they are improving, the healthy competition is doing good.

I can't really imagine how far metaverse development could go, but I think each of us is able to imagine that metaverse will have casinos where you can play cryptocurrencies. I'm just curious when governments start to want to regulate the metaverse world.

Looks like a lot of things can be develop under metaverse and we are just started this revolution, most probably this one is possible to happen though we can’t know when and how. The government is slowly regulating crypto currency, I’m sure they already know metaverse and crypto gambling, once they finalized it regulations will be out later on.

Any gambling managed by the company especially when there are indeed gambling rules in the Metaverse as far as I can see until now there is no relevant effectiveness. the metaverse is too scary. At this time we are not completely sure how gambling on the Metaverse will have a big impact or not. The sophistication of technology to be based on 3D is still not fully felt. In fact, it is certain that investors have filled their capital in the Metaverse company. such as Microsoft also had time to say that their company has allocated funds for Metaverse.

Everything goes back to the capitalist game, we are still like this and it is difficult to be in the territory they have occupied.

Government aren't really blind on not to see those possible things ahead on which it is why that regulation might really be just preparing next in line whenever this one comes out.
You would really expect that there would be intervention that would happen out.

Government doesn't really love to get behind and they would really be tending to get rid of things which do particularly talks about being decentralized. There would be no

exemptions as long they could impose of regulation then they would really be integrating it as much as they could.

Regardless of your choice to stay away from the metaverse when gambling, I'm sure when it actually appears you will be a little tempted to try a new experience playing gambling with the metaverse concept

Regulations will definitely emerge when the metaverse concept has been widely adopted, and gambling businesses that use it will not be separated from it but that's part of the fun

Regulation is the main key for metaverse to succeed as that says the government is supporting them. The government could ban it or regulate it, but we like to see a positive development of metaverse concepts so it should be regulated. I can't imagine how to gamble in the metaverse as I have not used the platform yet, but if it can improve the experience without risking our privacy, then that is a good thing.
