Title: RTX 3050 what plans?
Post by: JayTrain on January 18, 2022, 01:48:40 PM
Good afternoon!
I heard a new "super-budget" RTX 3050 video card is coming out this month, like the price should range from $ 250-300 (this is not accurate). Do you think there will finally be an opportunity to buy a card at the recommended price? Or as usual, the price will be inflated several times?it is interesting how it will show itself in mining...

Okay this section is just for sha-256 machines used directly to mine BTC

a bitmain s19
an Avalon 1166

no gpus.

I asked mods to move it.

As to the question do I think this gear will be easy to get.

My answer is no.

Evga a major seller and build of gear will drop it on my birthday Jan 27

You have to go on a queue to get it.

I can tell you that ebay prices have dropped on the nvidia 3090 cards
I can tell you you can buy 20 msi 3090's from newegg only some what jacked up in price. (now out of stock)

So I think cards will be a little easier to get if you want expensive power hungery ones.

If 3050ti could perform worse on mining what could one expect from the lower 3050 version? The 3050ti is available on laptops and they gives only 25MH when mining Ethereum so expect the 3050 to perform way lesser than this, will only buy if it's extremely affordable

You think? Very hard to believe that 3050 will be this powerful, the only Nvidia card that can do 30-35MH is 1660 super, the normal 1660, 1050 and other **50 are weak graphic cards

1 fan, which can cause overheating. If these video cards were sold in Japan, then soon there should be tests on YouTube. Why were video cards sold ahead of schedule in Japan?

they are already writing about this card in all news resources, apparently there will be a hype card, it seems to me that the price will also be inflated, because the demand will be huge if the price tag is really good. The main thing here is to have time to buy)

yeah but it is not 1050 or 1650.
RTX 3060 has 192bit can do 48mhs. this little fella has same memory only 128bit so i think 30-35mhs will be actual.

And LHR restrictions for this card will be relevant?
It will be a huge joke if the RTX 3050 mines ethereum with a hashrate close to the performance of the RTX 3060. If nvidia decided to make an 8 GB card, then I think that the miners will have enough problems with this video card.

Possible because 3050 is a weak GPU already they don't need do limit its mining capacity, all those RTX3070 and 3080s are big cards in terms of power that's why they went through all that hassle to limit their power anyways let's wait and see

However, the RTX 3050 appears to be an LHR model, as are all RTX 3000 GPUs now. According to the first tests of the Chinese YouTuber, the video card reaches 13.66 Mh/s with a power consumption of 57 watts.

If this is true, then the appearance of new 3050 graphics cards will not affect the prices of old ones.

Nvidia is right here, I hate to say that but they are, I mean, if they make these 3050 non lhr then nobody will buy expensive lhr gpus eheh, smart miners look for efficiency, yeah sheeps will buy these and use for mining ehhe, sheeps wil always be sheeps ehhe, just the thought sheeps are buying or have bought lhr gpuss makes me laugh so hard hehe

Hehe just as expected, I knew that any GPU with the **50 number is always a weak one for mining I bet this GPU will only game at low settings 1080p just like the old 560ti, if low end GPU is your thing always make sure they have "Ti" enabled, 3050ti is better

at the recommended price, only the one who will soon sell it to you will have time to buy :-[

RTX 3050 will all feature LHR, so basically you will get 14MH at very low wattage, with, considering the difficulty on the network, it just makes no sense.

You will never be able to ROI the investment before eTH goes PoS and the rest of coins will remain extremelly unprofitable after ETH goes PoS.

Mining is dead. But you don't know it yet.

Mining is dead. But you don't know it yet.
Tell the owners of 25 million video cards that mine Ethereum about this, Mr. Troll :)
https://etherscan.io/chart/hashrate
The fact that the RTX 3050 is useless in mining is actually great news for other miners - there will be fewer competitors.

Well my advice is mine on. But don't buy a shit ton of new cards for a while.
