Title: Anyone with 6500xt numbers?
Post by: grafical on January 19, 2022, 08:47:02 PM
Fellas, do we have some actual numbers for 6500xt on some coins ? ETC/CLO/Flux... Is it much worse than 6600xt ?

They have them for$200 by me but that 69 bit bus makes me worried

Don't ever buy such cards they are worst for crypto mining, they can't mine a single PoW algorithm, the only reason to buy such card is for video editing or graphical design works

If the experts did not test these video cards in mining, then everything is sad :)
Don't rush to buy these video cards unless for $200, but 4 GB and 64 bit bus makes me not want to buy this video card even for $200. I would wait for mining tests.

Go on YouTube I think it's already available cos I see something like this 6500xt on YouTube or just wait for some time since it's a new GPU model same as nvidias RTX3050 which I'm waiting for more mining information first before judging

Apparently it should be doing around 13-14MH/s at 28-30W ethash (ETC). I dont think it looks so bad the efficiency is very simillar to 6600 XT. Obvioously its not a beast but I can see it used as cheap, very lowpower second gpu in a gaming pc for example. Ofcourse only worth if price <= 200, which can be done atm

Maybe efficiency in gaming you mean? 6600XT performance in mining is way better than 6500 30MH isn't a joke and power consumption of 6600 deserves this exact hashrate, buying 6500 for mining is like buying 1050 for mining in 2022

RX 6500 XT in Mining by Sapphire | Tests on 7 coins | Most Unsolicited Purchase
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSUJbySItAQ
ETC - 14 Mh
Toncoin -1200 Mh
FLUX - 8,3 Sol
ERGO - 27 Mh
RVN -9 Mh
ETH -1 Mh :)
If you are a miner, then you will receive all the data without translation into Russian. Useless video card, miners won't buy it.

Wow... a 5700G iGPU can do that 1Mh for ETH.

There are lots of altcoins these could be used for though.
Question is 2x 6500XT better than a single rx 6600/6600XT for cost/efficiency.

If you want to have some rigs mining altcoins you could have a bunch of these mining various coins for risk/lotto purposes.
Altcoin mining GPU's basically. Not too costly and easy to setup with low power draw.

But for 300$+ as they are currently priced it's better to acquire RX 6600's.

This is real data for a 4 GB graphics card. For many DAG miners, the file is loaded into RAM and this allows you to mine Ethereum. But with the current size of the Ethereum DAG file, no one does this anymore.
Buying a 4 GB video card for mining now is very stupid.Bloggers buy it for reviews.

This is a bad decision for mining a ton coin. The maximum hash rate requires maximum core overclocking, and this will lead to overheating of the video card, because its cooling is not designed for such loads. Open cases will definitely be a bad decision, you should immediately buy closed cases.
