If you look at the monthly returns, January does often experience major corrections, and will improve again in February, hopefully the same thing can happen this year.

Is not bitcoin more than enough to give you a proof that if this market is not just another correction? I guess if you know how deep bitcoin was going from 70k to the around 34k and will you still say that this is just another correction? that doesn't make sense at all. This is not market correction. The market correction will never try to the deep like this time. You must see the chart again and you will get some clues about that. So many expert traders are predicting if we are in the another big bearish trend.
If that's just a correction and the price of bitcoin will not go deep like the current price. 10% - 20% correction was more than enough but not for this time.

a correction only in my personal opinion because market is gradually showing green at this point and there's no significant sign of bearish. Let's just hope there's no more negative news will emerge because there will be another panic selling from weak hands and of course those who still holding until now despite of losses.. Just think positive mate and keep finger crossed that soon or later market will become fully recovered.

The circumstances in the market change all the time so what is important is not to try to tell if this is a correction or a bear market what it is important is what you want to do, if your aim is to hold your coins for the long term then you need to hold no matter what, no one said that it would be easy but if you can do it then surely sooner or later you will obtain profits, but if you sell now then not only you will lose money, those losses will most likely become permanent as you will not be able to hold your coins anymore, unless you correct the reason that led you to sell your coin in the first place.

In another thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5382721.0) they are talking about the possibility of the bulls coming back. I feel you and I know your fear, and if you need the money or the emotions are too strong it is not easy, even when you know that millions are like you. Next time, if it wasn't the case, invest only what you can afford to lose. Nobody likes losing any money, but you understand.

This is not financial advice, but it might not be a good idea to sell after such a fall. If you don't need the money, HODLing seems like a conservative position, but, again, I feel you, it is hard sometimes.

Keep watching and please don't watch too much cause the market has the power to do any it want to do. All we have to do is observe the market and try to guess the next direction it will be going to. I still think that the market is going to go down probably to around $25 K before making another direction.

this deep correction can't also be interpreted as a bear market ,because we've been in that situation since December and seen falling without a parachute ! altcoin are experiencing a big drop as the wall of support has broken down instantly on the bitcoin market ,but you should continue to monitor this situation and hope to believe that in 2 week the market will recover above 40K again for btc

If it keep stable link this and morely like downtrend keep coming in a months, maybe bear market really come. I think it is worth to wait for more time, but if already bought, don't need to panic because only in time price will bounced back. If want to try maybe use spare money to do short and it will be worth to try, but as long we always ready for anything that can be happened.

We will only determine what kind of market we are having after few months. Because if you compare the price of btc in the previous years, can we say that we are in a bear market? Definitely not. Because we are still in the 36k level and based from the previous years, we only experienced this level last year. So if you are comparing the price in 2020 and years before that, we can say we are still bullish. It depends on where you are comparing it with. But right now, it may be bearish if we compare it from ATH price of about 60k. But we are still doing good as the adoption is growing everyday.

At the moment I think we can still talk about a very large correction. If the drops continue for at least a few more days, I think we will be able to talk about the beginning of the bear market. However, let's hope that this is the bottom of the correction and the trend will turn positive.

What do you think

Market Corrections are already called bearish markets by some if it affects the whole crypto market. Judge it the way you looked at it.

What kind of panic? Sell since you are already at a huge loss? If there's a thing like that, you should already sell before. It means you can handle the stress of seeing your assets falling. And now that you can't handle it you will sell now? Where's the guts?

Anyways, that's your coins. If you think you anticipate that price will fall more, then it's your decision to sell.

What do you think

What coins do you hold now? It's nothing wrong to sell if you think you can get a lower price later on.

But if you are not sure, why sell? Keep hold.

Only see when you really need money or want to do short-term trades. That will test how good you are in decision making.

Selling at this point is not a very good idea. Of course, prices may still go down, but there is also a high probability that they may start rising at any moment. If someone sells now, they may unfortunately miss the departing rocket to the moon.

This is bearish market. A correction will not be like this. Bitcoin jumping easily from around 42k to the 35k just in a night and that's the worst thing that i have ever seen a few days ago. The sentiment in the market was not so good this time. So many bad news came from FED, Kazakhstan and many more. You must know the different between bearish market and correction. Correction mean if it will be pulling down in a short time but bearish market mean the market will be going down for a long time. It needs a few years for crypto to recover from the bearish market like this. People are still waiting for another miracle that will make the price to go up again. We are still watching and waiting for bitcoin to catch the bullish trend again. We call this as bear market instead of correction market.

I think that there is not much point in trying to predict this.

This could be a correction, a bear market, a crash... Whatever you want to call it.

But at the end of the day, for me it's a reasonable price to buy most coins out there. So why not take advantage? Dollar cost average your way in, there were plenty of people willing to buy at $4k when price was $4k+ for ETH, but now they're all gone?

What do you think
What can you consider to be bearishness  ? if the price of all currency drops 50%?  when you see that there are fall drops 2 digits this is already a bear market because it is not usual market movement to make all currency red blood together with 2 digits fall.
and also why not look at it to be bear so you can tell yourself to purchase more and take the opportunity ?
I m still watching closing trying to know if this is the bear market or market corrections. I don't want to panic and sell.

Just don't panic sell, it's no use.

We might enter the bear market and this is the start of it but it could also be a big correction that just happened. If things recover and we see it very soon then it's not yet the bear market.

But the important part is you don't panic.
and besides what is the need to panic sell when you can keep the funds on hold? and asking about being bear when the price drops as high like this? lol actually he posted this when the market stabilized already .

With the current situation of the market today who would not think that we are in bear market right. I mean this one is not just simply a price correction but whatever the market situation is we don't need to panic sell. If you are already been in cryptocurrency for long time already you already know what to do. But if you're a newbie take this advise and keep yourself more educated about the market. Truly the crypto market is so volatile and unpredicted.

there is 2 option , sell now and buy again because i can see that there are more falling that will come in the following days.

Or? Just close your eyes and never check the market for now (while holding your funds) so this will not affect your decisioning as the market is showing no strength and this is a weak market that we are all waiting to buy more.

I hope you do not panic and sell your bitcoin or altcoin at this time as the market is down deeper but I think it is a big correction for the crypto market. But if you want to sell your coin because you can not hold more losses, you should search for the right time to sell because you will not want to see the price increase back after you sell the coin. This time you have a good time to buy more bitcoin and altcoins but make sure you analyze before executing so you do not buy at a high price. The bull market will come back so there is nothing to worry about while you can sit back, relax, and be patient.

it definitely is a bear market, if there is anyone that's trying to deny the fact that we are already going down really hard these past few days then maybe they should reasses their chart analyzation because i'm sure they are making some mistakes,
best course of action at current moment is simply accumulating if you are already too late in selling your assets because you’re only losing when you’re selling.
I'm sure that the next cycle of bullrun is gonna be coming really soon, this month around could be the key for the future trend, if it’s still going down, big chance the bearish market gonna be really long and maybe it gonna takes few years.

Not the bear market, at least until the present time. The market situation is still acceptable so far. We can say that it is a major correction due to a lot of negative news that affected the market negatively. It is not only the crypto market that has been affected, as well as the financial markets, stocks and major global stock exchanges have been affected. Also, let's hope that what is happening now is just another big correction, if the drop continues further then we can say that the bear market has begun.

Not a correction anymore the moment we go below $40k, that’s already a bear trend. Don’t panic because this wont last better to analyze again and buy more if you see good opportunity. This bear market is necessary so the price of Bitcoin can move on, buy now while it is still cheap.

In fact, we can call all drops in price longer than a day or two the bear market. In this case, I think we can slowly start talking about the short-term bear market. If the situation doesn't change for another week or so, I think everyone will officially start calling it bear market.

Not this time, I was about to call the market when Bitcoin drops below $30 and it was fortunate to see that Bitcoin is able to recover this time, were up at 5.55% at this post, it sounds is going to stop the declines...I just hope this could be able to sustain a little bit longer and then it reaches back to $40,000 and so those who bought BTC last week had the chance to make a profit.
As I bought some BTC at $38,000, I may that closer to gain as well. It probably it ease the feeling of those who buy early when the decline starts.

While most altcoins are continue to drop their prices, bitcoin on the other hand has seen to have a small recovery from its price which made those who bought bitcoin when it was still lower to the present value has already made a small profits. This make us think that the market is still in a heavy correction and not yet totally in a full bearish market since its price still give signs of recovery from its dips. If the recovery continues, bitcoin will be bullish again which will also give a positive impact on other coins that are in deep prices for now.

It's true that with the price of Bitcoin dropping below $40k, we can't say what's happening now is a correction. For me now it can be said
officially as a bear market, but there is no need to panic if a bear market occurs, because not always bear market will last long. I believe with
the popularity of crypto which has increased drastically, many institutions have joined and several large companies have decided to adopt Bitcoin.
This makes me optimistic that the bear market will only last for a moment, we will soon return to the bull market. So use this opportunity now
when crypto prices fall to collect some coins that are indeed potential, we will regret if we don't collect coins from now on. Since the crypto market is
about to skyrocket in the near future, and when that happens it can be profitable for those who already have large amounts of crypto.

It's difficult to determine whether a bearish or a correction only. But we must admit that the current decrease is quite huge. I am a bit pessimistic to see Bitcoin be back above $60k. Except there will be unexceptional news about Bitcoin. Then, it can trigger Bitcoin to have another long bullish trend. But now we don't see something to be unexceptional news, on the contrary there are many bad news about Bitcoin and crypto.

For me, it could start with a bear market. We don't have any basis on how we can tell the bear market, but I believe it will be a very long market that didn't pump too much or mostly closed on a higher timeframe as a red candle.

I can say this is the start of a bear market but we can't say how long it is, this could be like a few months ago. Topped at $63,000 then dropped on $30,000 then pumped again to all-time-high $69,000. That was very short period of time.

Its already a bearish market since most coins has a huge dropped for the last few weeks. Athough its not as bad as bearish season before because the current price of most coins are still expensive. Its best not to panic during this time, anyway what coins are you holding? You cant gain if you sell so continue holding your coins and make yourself busy on other things so you wont think of the market for a while.

The market drops in the last week and today, the market can rise for a little and hopefully, that can still increase and the last drop will be the last.
But I do not think we are in the bearish season, but we are in the correction moment, which pushes the bitcoin price to go deeper, as we saw last week.
You do not have to panic and still hold but if you already bought some at $34k, you are now making a profit by selling it at the current price.
I hope he can calm down his mind and not become too emotional watching the market because that can make him sell in panic mode when the price drops again.

This is clearly a Bear market , it is rare to see a almost 20% drop in almost every coin that existed , this is a sad but reality for the market so why instead of feeling sad use this as an advantage?
why thinking of being panic seller when you can reverse the situation and be a Panic Buyer?
the more you buy now is the more profit you will get in the near future .

So what things that make you say if there was a possibility of we are in the corrections? Bitcoin is going down from 70k to the around 33k yesterday and how can i say that's a correction? is not it correction was not so deep like this? that doesn't make sense. Just never try to watch the market and keep your portfolios in the safe place. Chill mate, the market will be turning to the green again as soon as possible.

What do you think
Bitcoin goes from the top to the bottom in three months since november and it seems like the bottom already reached and we will be breaking out again to get another ATH for bitcoin. I do believe if this dump will not be longer than next month. Im very bullish if bitcoin already reached the bottom and it will create another ATH again for sure. This time for us to accumulate more and more coins from the market when bitcoin is still in preparation to go to the moon. Altcoin will moon soon and bearish trend will end.
