Title: Posting an image on bitcointalk Post by: slimzak on February 04, 2022, 09:24:04 PM Can anyone teach me how to post an image on here.. I've tried everything. This is the image: https://imgur.com/gallery/B2iEPSK
I've tried using the img feature on here but all I get is this: http://imgur.com/gallery/B2iEPSK I've also tried changing it to a bb format such as this: https://i.imgur.com/gallery/B2iEPSK.jpg Both yielded same results and gives image proxy error. Thanks Title: Re: Posting an image on bitcointalk Post by: Charles-Tim on February 04, 2022, 09:27:51 PM Maybe I will need to quote this:
Use a computer or change your phone broswer to a computer version. It does not work on mobile version Visit https://imgur.com At the left upper corner, click on 'new post' Then click on 'choose image' Drag or choose the image you want to post It will be uploaded on the site On the image, click on the leftmost upper corner Click on the three dots that appear Click on 'get shared links' Then click on BBCode (Forums) Paste the image link here on this forum. It will look like this: Code: [img]https://talkimg.com/images/2023/05/14/blob4dc0c74d1a5670bf.jpeg[/img] If the image has later appeared, to resize, adjust the height and width. Code: [img height=100 width=100]https://talkimg.com/images/2023/05/14/blob4dc0c74d1a5670bf.jpeg[/img] Title: Re: Posting an image on bitcointalk Post by: slimzak on February 04, 2022, 09:35:24 PM Thank you, I just ended up using imgbb instead of imgur and that worked
Title: Re: Posting an image on bitcointalk Post by: Charles-Tim on February 04, 2022, 09:38:21 PM Thank you, I just ended up using imgbb instead of imgur and that worked Also, you can decide to add Code: [img] and [/img] Code: [img]https://talkimg.com/images/2023/05/14/blob3227fd3ec5c1631a.jpeg[/img] It should work. That image seems so familiar, hope you are not trolling. Thanks Both of your image urls are invalid. Once you've uploaded the image to the imgur gallery, right-click on it and select "Copy Image Link". This will give you the correct url to the image. Like this: Code: https://i.imgur.com/w6AtUKF.jpeg All you have to do now is put that url inside the [img][/ img] tags. Title: Re: Posting an image on bitcointalk Post by: uchegod-21 on February 04, 2022, 11:05:44 PM Thank you, I just ended up using imgbb instead of imgur and that worked I also had this problem when I wanted to upload image with imgur the first time. It was imgbb that solved my problem. Now that you have seen a way to upload an image. It will be fine if you can lock the thread now. Code: [img height=100 width=100]https://i.ibb.co/hHTbhcr/59160398.jpg[/img] I can't stress enough the importance of the size tags for the readability's sake. Also, in case you are taking the image from an external source I suggest you to combine the [ img ] tag With the [ url ] tag to make the image linkable: Code: [url=https://twitter.com/saylor/status/1488498422495817728?s=20&t=ZVTHoEGTeuOJ02w6EVUD-Q][img width=500]https://i.ibb.co/0q7v4dv/59160398.jpg[/img][/url] Title: Re: Posting an image on bitcointalk Post by: SquirrelJulietGarden on February 05, 2022, 12:48:25 AM Guideline on posting images (with size adjustments), hyperlinks (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3974517.msg37748469#msg37748469)
You can adjust height, width of photos. In addition, there are two methods to add source link, directly together with photo link or you can add a row at bottom like Source: link Code: [url=link][img width= height=][/img][/url] Some websites to upload photos and get links to attach in your posts with BBcode.

Title: Re: Posting an image on bitcointalk Post by: aysg76 on February 05, 2022, 08:53:36 AM Also, in case you are taking the image from an external source I suggest you to combine the [ img ] tag With the [ url ] tag to make the image linkable: If you take the link for the BBCode from any image uploading site like imgbb then it's already attached with [url] embedded in the link and then you can remove it or keep it to make the image link clickable that will redirect you to the particular image hosting site where you have uploaded the image.Code: [url=https://twitter.com/saylor/status/1488498422495817728?s=20&t=ZVTHoEGTeuOJ02w6EVUD-Q][img width=500]https://i.imgur.com/GjHpEGG.jpg[/img][/url] But you can make readjustmemts in the image size of height and width according to your preference but if the size is small you could make it clickable otherwise it's completely fine to avoid the link. If you use android, you can use this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.superyao.tuchuang - share from gallery and copy bbcode link. The image hosting site like imgbb or imgur are free of cost then why go through these apps but yes you can use them to make some image adjustment if they come along with it as other members have previously discussed about such apps that can help you in image posting on the forum but for me imgbb is ok to work with and post images here.Title: Re: Posting an image on bitcointalk Post by: libert19 on February 05, 2022, 09:18:20 AM If you use android, you can use this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.superyao.tuchuang - share from gallery and copy bbcode link. Title: Re: Posting an image on bitcointalk Post by: Luffygroove on September 08, 2022, 05:56:39 AM Thank you, I just ended up using imgbb instead of imgur and that worked Thanks for this thread, finally I could upload my first picture. In the beginning, I used Imgur too and it failed, I tried to use imgbb and postimage too and it also failed cause I pasted the link between Code: [img] and [/img] I tried each way that's been mentioned here, however, it's failed (btw I used a mobile phone, I changed the mode to desktop mode, and still failed). Apparently, when I upload it to imgbb and check it again meticulously, I found that we can copy-paste the BBCode full linked directly to the forum without clicking on BBCode provided by the Forum first. Herewith I attach the picture too : https://i.ibb.co/MgNG3N0/Screenshot-20220908-123914-Kiwi-Browser.jpg (https://ibb.co/qD1WP1Q) and it works perfectly Title: Re: Posting an image on bitcointalk Post by: Benkbeny on September 21, 2022, 02:48:39 PM 95% of the people that responded to this question have given you the answer you need to upload image.

I think that's more confusing task because if you are going to edit someone's else image tags and inserting your link there then chances of mistake are more and you will see invalid image proxy code so the best solution is to follow the instructions above to upload the image on any image hosting site and simply copy the BBCode in your post. But if you still don't get it right, kindly Copy someone post with image and then edit it to upload your image. But I have no proofs for that. I neve noticed on my images (hosted on Imgur) Title: Re: Posting an image on bitcointalk Post by: UserU on September 24, 2022, 03:58:55 PM I guess it has more with the image hosting service used to put the image online, than with the very forum code.
