February 14th is very much celebrated worldwide as valentine's day, a day to show love, not just to our loved ones but to everyone. I'm thinking of doing something memorable for my loved ones and maybe any other person, something bitcoin related. Suggestions please, how can I and us all make valentine's day a memorable day with bitcoins?

Yeah the Ballet card's not too bad. I got one as a gift myself last year (or was it the year before) and I have to say, quality and impression is pretty good, and modern enough it comes with an app to track balance, and easy enough to introduce someone to Bitcoin -- and allowing them the freedom later on to switch wallets if they want. I got the Lunar New Year edition and am sure the Valentine's design is as good as it looks.

But don't make that THE gift, just part of it, haha. It's Valentine's day, you gotta make it romantic too, trust me. You don't want this Bitcoin gift to be memorable for the wrong reasons haha.

The first one suggested is actually a great option. However, if the person you are giving a gift to is a person that is already immersed in this industry and understands quite a lot of things about crypto and NFTs already, then a better choice would be to gift an NFT that is somewhat relevant to any of you two or ahould I say can be given a meaningful meaning.

A better idea is to personally create your NFT gift. Because let's face it, nothing beats the price of efforts and time that is poured into something as a gift.

I would rather keep my bitcoins with me and never give it to anyone. I would rather prefer and go with the old ways of giving flowers and chocolate to my loved one.  ;)

I personally feel that all the crypto exchanges that are quite popular should have more easy crypto gifting options. When someone gifts another person crypto in some form, the receiving party also comes to know about the crypto industry and the benefits of owning and investing crypto. This will help in faster adoption of crypto and will help in growth of the exchanges as well. Thus a cycle will be formed and all the involved parties will be  benefitted.

I think something personal would be nice for a day like this. Like, perhaps, making your own postcard, and writing the passphrase to a Bitcoin wallet with some money in it? A simple idea is to write the words from the passphrase in the shape of a heart. It's something you can easily do in Word using space (or tabs), or you could write it with a pen yourself (if you have a fairly good handwriting). Come to think of it, you don't even need to make your own postcard. You can buy one of those that have plenty of empty room for you to write your own text, and you can print out or write a heart-shaped passphrase onto it.

Just write a text message about you as a couple on the Bitcoin blockchain. The message will exist as long as Bitcoin exists and is indelible. Did this not too long ago, by the way, when a relative was born. Her birth will always be anchored in the blockchain and when she comes of age I will show her the transaction id :-P

I was thinking that I'll just send a small amount of bitcoin and make her a bitcoin wallet. I like the idea of giving a Ballet Card, thanks for the idea. And I find this better way and more romantic I guess.
However, I'm not sure if she's going to keep it for real since I know her attitude and the way she keep her stuff, personally. I'll start for making her a phone wallet and sending her a little amount in batches and that's it.

Gifting money is generally considered a poor taste, because it means that you're too lazy to come up with something good and don't know the person too well. Valentine's Day is a very special holiday, you are supposed to gift something that demonstrates that you feel and understand your loved one, so it's definitely not the time for lazy gifts. I'm pretty sure that even many people who are into crypto would be frustrated to some extent if they were gifted Bitcoin on this day.

There were different categories like clothing, phone cases, stationary, household, postcard, gift cards, etc. This is particularly for the crypto enthusiasts and I don't know how effective the gift will be to the valentine.

It's just a wallet-to-wallet transfer and most women won't appreciate such a gift that can't be touched or felt.  Better to give her something which she likes and can feel her in her hands. I personally wouldn't do anything with my bitcoins because it's for my future and with my loved ones, and on valentine's day I plan to buy two pink t-shirts with the bitcoin emblem for me to wear with my loved ones, and ordered chocolates in bitcoin symbols which i bought all using fiat for later valentines day. ;D

Finding out what she likes better on occasions like Valentine's day will be more memorable to her than surprising her with BTC that she does not know about. If she likes chocolate or Icecream which they usually do, then give something like that. I have sent BTC to my girl more than 10 times already for her to have funds on her mobile wallet and something to spend but I have not heard her ask what blockchain is.

In my country Valentine's Day is not a big day that must be celebrated, but my husband and I have been celebrating Valentine's Day for years. I don't expect a big gift from my husband, as long as he allows me to continue buying Bitcoins when we have more money then it is the most beautiful valentine gift. ;D

Usually, we gift lovers what she mostly likes. But since you won't make this memorable by doing something with Bitcoin then you can do it besides of general gift what she likes most. The idea would like to gift her a hardware wallet and teach her how to play with it. Then send her some Bitcoin units and suggest holding them for the future. Or gift any heart based or valentine NFT to your partner which they can store as well as it would be a gift whose value would appreciate over time. He haven't done this before but it was his first time because he seek for a suggestion so he isn't overdoing it. Anyone can give their suggestions here and it can be simple or not so simple he will choose depending on his bitcoin budget and depending on the time that he can allocate. Seriously, the non tech girl will tear the paper wallet after or store it carelessly. I was thinking if the paper that contains the private keys should have a brief explanation of how she can get the money enclosed on the private keys. Make an illustration then write boldly how much is in the wallet so that she can value the paper. Although, women differ in behavior but, they share one similarity; money moves them, I don't think any girl will be arrogant if she understands that the paper she is holding is worth a good amount of money.

you can buy stuff using bitcoin through online mate or send bitcoin as a gift and give them a piece of advices how they can get benefits from it as well because on that way for sure at the end day when they all become profitable they will always remember you because of bitcoin.  :D

Definitely, I think it's important to understand that your partner understands first and know about bitcoin or better yet, cryptocurrencies because if not then you're probably going to waste your time and your effort would be unappreciated because they have a different expectations. Yeah before giving a bitcoins gift to your partner or lover, make sure he/she knows about it and has some interest in this. You just said what I just said in the last part but I definitely agree with that, with mismatched gifts comes unappreciated efforts leading to misunderstanding of both parties involved in the relationship because they thought that you're not putting effort in that relationship. Depending on our partner, if he is not very tech savvy, it seems that following the instructions to get Bitcoin will be complicated for him or her.
There are our partners become annoyed because of it, but if our partners really like technology and surprises, there's nothing wrong with giving

I think the OP can surprise the partner a bit even if the partner doesn't know bitcoin. Show him the bitcoin estimate in the wallet and if it makes him happy then I think the show is a success. It's a simple step for those who don't know bitcoin but know what money is.

Me and my partner are used to on Valentine's Day, we are a family holiday. But in my country, there is currently a prolonged pandemic going on, and I think all parts of the world feel the same way.
i plan to give 1 btc to my partner. as a form of my love for him. although he is not interested in crypto.

That's a great idea buddy, I've never done this before because my loved ones didn't know about bitcoin or cryptocurrency so it's kind of non sense if I give them a certain amount of crypto as a gift but today luckily they now interested in crypto and so far they slowly learning how to transact using it so I am also considering this one. You invest in something that has a high chance of increasing in value, for example, buying axie or SLP, which you know will increase in value at some point. In my country valentine day is celebrated by small number of people as its not seen as a good thing by religious groups. My wife has gone to her parents home to attend wedding of her cousin, so I am alone and thats why not interested in this day at all .

Valtenine's gift giving using bitcoins may be symbolic but not really necessary. Giving other gifts will also be more memorable, maybe crypto themed.

I believe that there are so many ways that you can surprise your loved ones with Bitcoin on any day. First, I would say that you have to know what they like, if you are able to get to know what your loved ones like, then you can work towards gifting them something that is similar to that or what they would really like that will impress them that much.

NFT is a very good way to say modern day valentines wishes and gift. Giving direct bitcoins to your loved ones may not sound so impressive and attactive as compare to giving unique attactive NFTs. This is a good idea and i may also implement this on the next valentine  :)

This could be anohter use case of NFTs as valentines, marriages and birthday wishes.

The problem here is do our loveones really understand the concept we wanted to build? i mean do they appreciate the effort and the crypto we need to spend for that gift?

I think instead of anything ? why not just give them Bitcoin ? at least 0.001 each or more so they will become a crypto supporter as they have already holding a coin?

I read your topic about you planning to give your sister btc. I don't think btc can be a good choice for a wadding. However you can give her a hardware wallet with btc inside of it as a valentine gift. Personally i think valentine day is not only for couples so it will be nice to give it to your sis and for her wedding you can chose one of the options mentioned here in this thread (see page 1) .
