Title: A bug on post count

Check this thread and the creator of the thread and his post history.

In his profile, post count shows 0, which is why he is Brand New. When you check his post history, you will see the above post. Is it a bug on post count or something new applied or something I'm not really aware of the system. Can someone explain what is the case here.

because this is a fresh account

the system fails to update the data so fast

The post posted just a day ago or not even a day, let the time fixed it with the system it may be just a cache problem or what. If it was posted days or weeks ago I say that's a problem.

I think it just happens that way sometimes and normally gets fixed after a while.

The forum has scripts that recount posts from time to time too (I made a thread a few years back because mine changed by quite a bit and I was trying to work out why/if there was an issue).

This happens sometimes and it takes more than an hour for activity or post to update. The account is still fresh I think, give it more time, it will change post count.

this is not a bug & and it's not even a problem

the system just temporarily unable to process huge database

with the database growth, now everything will be with such delays

I thought it would be like the activity count or something reverting back but probably it's just the processing of data in the forum. Just like what the other says. It's not just him if you look at other posters, in Patrol. There are some new posts that members haven't synced yet or something.

Some prior post count error related Admin messages on the forum, seem to reflect that there are some loopholes that cause the post count to go off from time to time. See for example this post:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5209780.msg53358008#msg53358008

In the case cited in the OP, the sole post made by the author was initially placed in Beginners & Help (*), but moved a couple of hours later to MarketPlace (Altcoins), leaving a redirect post that was apparently created by the same account, and subsequently deleted by someone from B&H. Perhaps this sequence, with the deleted redirect, had something to do with it (although as far as I’m aware, redirects do not count in the Post Count toll).

I think this is a bug, but it will be resolved when the post count is counted. The user only has one post although usually the number will be calculated immediately after the user makes a post, but I'm sure for the second post the number of posts for this user will appear as usual.

I usually don't notice this kind of thing happening with new ones because the post count gets counted faster than the activity count [usually]. But maybe this is a bug that you will soon solve.

Still I see the post count as zero so as on any day it could be processed within few hours but this is something really issue. Probably theymos is doing some maintenance work so everything is on hault or takes more time than normal to update? Let's wait and see if admin reply here.
