Title: Avalon miner 851 pmu replace
Post by: Ahmedhamoud on February 16, 2022, 01:08:25 AM
Regarding the pmu, there is a similarity in some way between it and the hash board. I have a device that works. The number of hashes on it matches the hash number of a broken device. I tested the pmu on it and it works perfectly, knowing that I have also tested it on four other devices, but their hash number is different from The hashes that have been removed from the PMU The question here is how do I know which PMU will match the devices I have, I learned the solution is the similarity of the version of the hashes, and there is no number on the PMU that matches the version. How do I know which PMU will work for me? Please advise

If this is still the old unit with broken PMU and replaced based on the logs Vi and Vo the input and output from the PMU is fine. But I don't know if the hash number you talking about is needed to be replaced with the same PMU with the same hashes or hash number.

I heard that you can program them to make sure the PMU will work but it should be compatible with the current MM version.

I think the only man who can help you with this is to contact HagssFIN (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=348185) he is the one who has lots of experience with Avalon units.

I appreciate pointing these guys to me, but please remember that even I don't know everything. I have no idea if there are different PMU versions, software or hardware -wise.

Also the OP has created threads about this issue many times already, and I can't quite understand his flood of english text correctly.

I'm sorry.

Maybe Canaan knows how to deal with this.
