Title: Coincraft 28nm ASIC Bitcoin Miner 1TH/s for $3,000-Good deal??
Post by: LouReed on March 27, 2014, 03:42:24 PM
Have the opportunity to purchase this machine for $3000. It is a pro order, and is ready to ship, just waiting for me to send payment, and shipping info, escrow accepted. Would this be a wise purchase for this price?

This is the machine:

Care to share some details?

I suppose it could be a scam, but with the escrow of MY choice, I don't see how it would be a good idea to attempt to scam this way.

Unfortunately, the authorized distributer link is no longer working, but on the guys Ebay page he claims to be "an approved reseller, working directly with the manufacturer".

This is the deal that I am working on. If he leaves my post up, and agrees to provide all the info I asked for via pm, and allow it out in the open, then he probably isn't scamming, we will see! I am having my doubts now though.

That's pretty crazy if it's legit and goes through.

Went from $5700 to $3000. guy must be desperate.

Why gamble on a preorder or a purchase from from some sketchy reseller?  For about $3600 you can buy a contract for cloudming from PBminers... 1THs for 5 years, no fees, no electrical costs, no waiting.

Hmmm Theres always the resale value of buying a miner vs clouding mining

Good point.  I've held onto my first gen gear too long now and missed that window of opportunity to sell them off for a tidy profit.  My timing always sucks, lol.

Actually, my plan was to list 3 of them on ebay with a Buy it Now of $4000, and keep a free one. Apparently they are now sold though.
