Title: Bitcoin price stay above $40000?
Post by: Oshosondy on February 17, 2022, 09:54:18 AM
I am been having doubt recently that the price of bitcoin may not stay long above $40000, it is like the market is full of bears than bulls or maybe the bulls have become bears for this time until the next bull phase. Bitcoin increase some days ago above $45000, it decreased back to $41500, then increase again yesterday to $44500. I have predicted that if the price do not touch $45000 and above for now, that it is possible the bears will dominate and which is happening. Since yesterday, the price of bitcoin has slightly been on the decreasing side.

Everyone is expecting bitcoin to get to $50000 again, but I am thinking this is not possible for now, I know the price will increase above $50000 but I think it is not now. But what I am mostly thinking about right now is that will $40000 be a support for bitcoin or will the price still decrease further again making it to touch $30000.

RSI is still strong that's why we are still above $40k. But we are in a very delicate situation, I mean just another negative news and for sure we are going to see ~$40k again and then we are going to hear those perma bears again in the market. And then the discussion of what will be the lowest and it could go lower that $30k for others. As for the price of $45k, its a huge barrier in front of us that is hard to break.

It's like ping and pong because the price seems to go up and down several times and we've seen it before. The possibility of bitcoin prices going down is always there and vice versa but that's not what we have to look at here but how we can use that moment to buy and sell at the right time. But most people are too afraid to buy, even in small quantities, because they keep thinking that the price could continue to fall and keep them from doing anything.

Maybe the bitcoin price can't reach $50,000 right now but rest assured that it will definitely come back to $50,000 one day and even make a new ATH higher than yesterday. However, if the price goes down to the $30,000 position, that means we can get a golden opportunity to buy bitcoin with whatever money we have because once the price goes up, it will go up high.

Due to the increasing tension between Russia and Ukraine, The global market is affected due to the possible economic crisis in case a war is ignite since NATO, US and China might join on this war to backed there allied country. There will be a huge economic war so the stock market as well as crypto market will be heavily affected that result for a long side ways on Bitcoin price. You will notice that the price usually dip in significant percentage there's a news about the possibility of the war. We can safely assume that Bitcoin will gonna recover once the tension is already clear.

If you will see the daily chart of Bitcoin, you will see that Bitcoin tried to go above the $43,000-$44,000 twice but it didn't happen.
There is a rule in TA that the more it reaches the resistance, the higher chance that it will go above it and vice versa (correct me though I'm not sure with the words but at least you got the meaning :)).

Well, it seems that Bitcoin will be on a sideways for a few weeks at around $40,000-$45,000 or maybe $50,000 if it reaches. Now that Bitcoin surpassed the $40,000 price, it is acting as the support right now and the resistance is the $50,000 price. I believe that Bitcoin will be on a sideways movement until it decides which direction it will go so maybe just be ready :).

You cannot predict based on beliefs, if you do not think that the price will rise to the level of 50k, it does not mean anything.
Sometimes even analytical charts, network studies, and news analysis do not give a convincing reason to predict the price.

We are currently at levels of 43k and we only need 7000 to break the level of 50 thousand, which is the lowest of 17%, such a percentage is considered normal and the price can jump by 20% within one day.

In other words, can Bitcoin rise by 20% from the current level in a month? The answer is yes.

The level of 50K is not the problem, but the problem is in one trillion dollars at about 56k dollars.

Who are you talking about specifically when you say "everyone"? If anything, based on my observations people from various communities have been switching from bullish to bearish and vice versa after like every $2000 bitcoin price movement for a few weeks already. And funnily enough, bitcoin has just been ranging for a while now.

Its been around $40-$45K for a while now which shows it has strong support resistance level at that region so its hard to predict when the trend will change to bullish or bearish so enjoy the ride along with its sideways if you are day trader or just HODL until the next cycle.

I don't believe that the rumour of war is affecting the price of bitcoin. We remember the earlier speculation of this year for bitcoin to having a significant drop and this correction of bitcoin is no where about Russia or whichever country, short time investors are going away from the market and the market is up and down to stable up
Negative news around the world affects the price of Bitcoin so I think this war rumors really put the price of Bitcoin on this level again, remember the news about Covid19, we started to dumped because of that news and it can happen as well if the war started. Let’s hope for the price of Bitcoin to stay on this level so we can rise easily again, this might be the last drop before it pumps again.

It's a very complicated situation as it can go either ways, if we consider last two bounce back we thought bitcoin will surely cross $50k but it failed and now it's fluctuating between $40k to $45k and I think there are possibilities of bitcoin going below $40k incase if it doesn't cross $50k mark by March or first week of March because it's been a while bitcoin has been struggling to reach $50k and if it doesn't do it this month as well then we might see a correction phas once again after the rise from $32k to $47k, price correction phase will only delay the process of bitcoin reaching $50k but incase if bitcoin crosses $50k still it has to stay above $50k for a while it should be a pump and dump.

As long as bitcoin stays above $40k we are safe and we can expect bitcoin to cross $50k.

The market mishap today is a clear indication of the presence of a bear in the market, I don't think we will arrive $50k bitcoin price any time soon as the resistance level is getting weak and the Bitcoin price is gradually falling to below 40k at the end of today trading.

The political news of the fed decision and lots of other political happenings around the world of cryptocurrency in various countries as it regards to adoption and regulation have contributed heavily to the current downtrend movement in the Bitcoin market this week but let remain optimistic that things will be normalized in the weeks ahead.

You are right as the price of bitcoin goes down hard again, it's down to $40k right now from as high as $43k-$44k in the last 24 hours, I haven't check what really happen in the last 24 hours though. But it seems there is a negative news again

Everyone is expecting bitcoin to get to $50000 again, but I am thinking this is not possible for now, I know the price will increase above $50000 but I think it is not now. I myself was expecting that we can touch $45k, but we failed in our first attempt so I'm thinking that there is a big resistance in front. And surely, in just less than 24 hours, we only not just failed to break it, but the support line faltered at $43k.

This is the expectation everyone is having but it looks like the market might go below $50k with the way things are moving as the correction is almost 8.05% and is trading around $40527 and hopefully it will not dip further but i am not seeing huge buy walls either and i am not sure how to evaluate the situation. Will sleep tonight and see how low it can go and then take my position.

Today we are experimenting an important drop in the market of more than 7%, this is nothing for long term holders but for day traders using leverage this is huge, now it is likely the price will close above 40k today but we are going to have to wait and see if tomorrow is a better day than today or the negative trend continues, and if that is the case then there is a very high probability that we will see sub 40k prices again.

It's different from what I read from the others although I think stock market is different from Bitcoin when it comes to economic crisis on a certain country. I don't know if this is right or not but correct me if I'm wrong, as what I've read, they mentioned that due to the future crisis most investors would switch to Bitcoin since they can't use money on a country where war is active thus, increasing the adoption of Bitcoin therefore creating a FOMO.

So, I think most investors are waiting what will be the outcome of this notion between countries.

Yup, to be fair not just crypto market but stocks is also down due to this news.

A couple of days ago we see the price going $45k and then we said that there could be no war between Russia and Ukraine.

And then suddenly we had this news that really affected the financial markets around the world. So we are again at the critical level of $40k, is this don't hold, then we might see another dip in the next 24 hours.

Bitcoin is staying above $40,000 right now despite losing more than 7% in a just 24 hours. This is a hard test for this resistance turned support. This is not a highly tested support by the way. It could easily break. We remember how the price just breezed through $40,000 right after it was broken. Now, it is being tested. I hope it won't break. This is more or less a strong fall now. But I am not expecting the price to fall down all the way to $30,000. That's too far down.

Correct, their is tension around the world and all the markets have been severely affected by it. Currently, the price is still above $40,000 but it is on a very dangerous position. Usually these whole number support doesn't end very well, meaning it can be broken very quick. And the only thing we can do is hope that it will hold for at least 48 hours and then see how it will pan out next week.

It seems we still need to be patient again because the price of bitcoin is not showing a good movement and is still experiencing a correction.
Today the price touched $40k and the red candle remains in the market and maybe we will be in this position until the weekend but we should not worry because the market is going up again.
Yes, we all expect bitcoin to hit $50k but we can't expect it to happen quickly because there is a time factor that we don't know for sure.
I hope you can buy bitcoin again at a low price and hold it for a while.

yeah, you are right...It can't be now, even tomorrow but think about that it can be possible in the coming days. I'm not just positive with the market but that can be in reality as we know that Bitcoin had reached $50k in the past before the huge price deduction, and it rise back again just like the old times.

I have no feeling of doubts, Bitcoin will surge back high again only we need to trust and be optimistic. There is no instant recover ever happen in the market, so it is the same scenario to see.

That is the approach we should have. Bitcoin is not something that will drop that easily, we are going to have drops here and there for short term but the long term trajectory will be a high thing and we should be keeping it and hold will always be the best strategy. I have grown my crypto holdings in the past 2 years and I am still doing fine, even after drops after drops, it may not be 68k anymore but it is still profitable for me.

I mean there is a situation where we are dropping because of "news" but that is short and temporary, whereas the long term things are more permanent and we are going to be getting to 100k and even to 500k one day and that's just matter of time.

We’re almost hit the $39k which is very crucial because this might ruin the momentum of Bitcoin on going up again, so let’s watch the price closely and know your position with this because you might miss to cut your losses. There’s a lot of negative issues around the world, mostly having a huge pressure agains Bitcoin, this is why many investors are still hesitant to come back, plus the scare of having a WW3, lot of things to be consider though. Bitcoin should remain intact on $40k, let’s keep this price stable for now.

Majority of the investors in the cryptocurrency space wants their profit in a short period of time and they see this market as a magic wand to increase their wealth in a short period and hence you hear people crying when there is a correction.

Till now the supporting of $40k is holding up and hopefully we will not see another major sell off, couple of days and we will know what the short term market would be as it is edging close to $40k.

We can't conclude because the price of bitcoin always fluctuates in nature, so concluding that the price can get accelerated above forty thousand, i might say its wrong conception from my perspective, it's not that I'm calling for argument or agitation, but the price is base on market structures of cryptocurrency demand and supply, the market is moving with gradual demonstration which we all knows when the were it started it's movement of elevation this period, i have no prediction over it but i know vividly that it will rise more than forty thousand

Depends on where you look. One minute we are below, the next one we are above. 40k is not a solid level that if you break to 39900 it somehow becomes invalid and the price will go to 37k or something. First of all a wick is not a break. Price can wick on hourly and still not break the level. You could see it happen when we went above 45k and people were already celebrating that the resistance was broken. Not so fast boys, you need a daily close above the level for it to be broken, and then you need to come back to it to retest it as support. Right now we're retesting 40k and if it holds it's going to be a strong bullish sign.

This is what i do put up in my mind is that there would no assurance on what would be the price. Some saying that it wouldnt go below 40k but we actually are experiencing on going below that price

point but somehow it do holds up and whether it would be going go down further or would simply stop there and make out some preparation before breaking that 50k price point.
No one really knows on what would be the next move, we wont know until there's something happens and this is how this market moves.

And the only thing we can do is hope that it will hold for at least 48 hours and then see how it will pan out next week.

We have seen $40,000 breaking. The price actually fell to $39,600 but that was quickly recovered. $40,000 showed some strength. The price indeed lost hold of it but it didn't cause any further decrease. I was earlier thinking that losing $40,000 would cause the price to slide all the way down to $38,000 or even much lower. $40,000 persisted but the test is still there. It hasn't gone off the danger yet. We will see within the next several hours if it remains strong.

I have not seen $40000 to be persistent, the price just broke $40000 resistance recently which was yesterday, it was above before, the least resistance that traded for like two weeks was $41500. When bitcoin was unable to break $45000 again the second time recently, I have guessed it will be another bear market. If bitcoin did not increase and maintain this $40000 support, let us expect the price to later decrease below $40000 which is the support now, the support may later become the resistance.

It's been happening at the moment and if you look at CMC, the bitcoin price is currently down at $39,800-$39,900 levels and it seems like it will continue to fall for a while. But if you look at bitcoin's movement, this is when the bear market returns but hopefully, it won't last long.

I also predicted yesterday that if the price of bitcoin struggles to break through $45,000, bitcoin will go back down for a while but I don't predict the price until it hits $39k as we see today. In today's market conditions, we can buy bitcoin at the price we want.

Bitcoin can continue to fall, seeing the current trend is down so we must remain careful. Hopefully, the support can strengthen again so that the bitcoin price can bounce up and back above the $40k level.

will the price still decrease further again making it to touch $30000.
It's on this. But it's likely happening every weekend that there's a blood bath and also with Biden's word about the war in Ukraine, it has likely affected the market.

IMO, we're going to retrace and by Monday or Sunday evening, we shall see the recovery of it that could also get its feet back to $41k-$42k.

It's just me having a speculation from my own observation.

I believe so , we have failed to break 45k since new year drop.

We are trying many times and will do try the same thing next month i guess but yeah for now it seems we are heading to 30k despite it's much nearer to 45k.
Bearish confirmed?
I wish it could go as low as 10k unexpectedly , so we can have a party to bag more bitcoin and get our second chance that we missed back in early 2020.

im not sure I would bet on 40k as a minimum.  It will be challenged, I'm watching 39.5k and I want to say this will be the bottom because that would be bullish.   However its more likely we trade far below 40k and later on we do recover this area and in that moment people should bullish then rather then hope and pray we stop here, its a freight train and wont do what we want tbh.

But what I am mostly thinking about right now is that will $40000 be a support for bitcoin or will the price still decrease further again making it to touch $30000.
it's definitely impossible to happen on this current situation, because obviously in the lower time frame of bitcoin graph which for short term only, it really showing that bitcoin has no chance to regain strength in just a short period of time in order to make a good uptrend and to achieve our prediction as well.

So we need put more patience mate especially now on this situation wherein market turn into bearish again.

But i suggest dont base on the current situation of bitcoin in short-term wherein must focus on the big picture especially if you have plans for long term because to be honest bitcoin still have a good structure and it really showing that $50000 or higher still possible this year.

The first time Bitcoin lost $40,000, it was very quick. $40,000 went back once again. That's why I was thinking that the $40,000 support is quite persistent. But now, it has already been broken clearly. $40,000 has lost its grip already. The price has fallen to less than $39,000. I hope this is not a free fall. For the past hours the movement seems to be going sideways. There must be an almost equal pressure for both buying and selling currently.

Its not surprising to see the price moving downward but I thought $40k would be the support level and the price wont go down further. After reaching the $45k price it seems the market is recovering slowly however it didnt happen consistently and now its back below $40k. The price is unstable and unpredicted hence its better to not expect anything and look forward for whats in the future specially if you are planning to hold for long period and not after for short term profit.

it is mate, because the last 40k level stays only for 3 days and starts falling again yesterday and look at it now, the price dip at 38-39k value that has been around since the beginning of 2022.

actually this is not possible any time soon , there is a 45k barricade that we had only broken for a couple of minutes and drops back to 44k and now 39k.

this is why we are rest assure that we will stay this level in the next weeks or even months.

Usually those are the whole numbers support and resistance level. If we didn't get past that price, definitely it will have to go down. So again, at the start of the week, the price didn't hold up although there are several attempts in the 4 hour time frame to break $40k, but there was not enough push and now we go down to $38k very quick.

The world is too unstable and we are seeing a reflection of this on the markets, the TV and the Internet are filled with news about Ukraine and the possible conflict that we could see, and this is the kind of thing that all markets hate as there is a great deal of uncertainty, so bitcoin despite its strength and its fundamentals is also falling victim of this uncertainty, however assuming that everything is resolved relatively quickly then I think the price of bitcoin could recover and surpass the 40k level again.

We have momentum downwards, below the 2 day  (https://talkimg.com/images/2023/06/12/A3Omb.png)average BTC price action has failed to venture above a simple measure which for now means we continue negatively.    It has to put that in some doubt for any optimism to appear.   Its not held a higher range, next thing to speculate is holding above prior lows.

Several times the market tried to break $40000, bit it wasn't able to last long. This has made the price around $38500 to be the mid range resistance. Today this has got broken and it retested it. Failing to reach the mark, now it has been moving around $37500. Maybe further it can test again to go above $38500. Failing to reach will result in touching $35000.

Yes, the down is fast and made the price directly jumps down. I did not expect it but fortunately, I already prepared myself before and closed my trade and changed it into short and closed it at $38k ;D

This position still needs observation as the price can go down again and I do not want to buy at a high price so I decided to wait for a while. Meanwhile, bitcoin is down again after touching $39k and makes me just wait. But hopefully, it is just a tester for the price. Oh, this could be like a rollercoaster ;D

If this is a tester, it is obviously a hard test. The price did not only lost hold of $40,000, it slide down to $39,000 and then to $38,000 very quickly. And as though that is not enough, the price right now is already at $37,000. It is barely holding such price in fact. The price could easily go below $37,000 any minute from now.

This is obviously still the bear market. I thought it already ended with the breaking of $40,000 and the surpassing of $45,000.

And now we are in the lower $37k, os it's really a big test again for the market and we might see another lows in the dumping continues in the next 48 hours.

When we thought that the market has settled down already above $40k, the prices seems to move down because of the negative news coming from the Russia vs Ukraine war.

The price has probably hit lower than $37,000 in some exchanges right now. There might be more downward movements in the hours to come. We will see where the bottom of all this in the coming days and weeks. It seems the price has not yet reached a strong support for now from which it could bounce back.

I doubt the market is plunging because of the Russia vs Ukraine conflict. To make it clear, there is not even a war, is there? Conflicts are everywhere but it doesn't mean the price of Bitcoin has to go down.

This market doesn't look good enough to stay above $40K. Bitcoin dropped back to $37k.

36500 is a major support level, so I wouldn't be concerned (although I think the trend will be downward). However, the trend is not looking good. Afterwards, we'll wait for the next major support; if that breaks, we'll see more reds. You can't predict when a big buyer may jump in or where there will be shorts.

it doesn't actually mate https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/ as looking at the movement? the price keeps in falling  while trying to push to stay above 45k and have not even get close to 50k .

with this behavior i think below 40k is our position this whole year though there might be small pump and dump in the following days/weeks.

just be ready because any time there will be changes and if we will not take the chance to buy or sell then we will not be making any good profit.

since the beginning of the year bitcoin is difficult to predict accurately because it is easy to go up and easy to go down. the price is currently at $37,748 and a possible drop below that can and is very likely to happen, if we look at the experience in January which once touched $35K.

It is very difficult for bitcoin to stay above $40K without some good news to encourage confidence in bitcoin, to continue to grow. each time, after improving and reaching the possibility will continue to increase, but it doesn't happen, in fact it gets worse. we hope bitcoin doesn't drop to $30K as it will have a hard time recovering quickly.

If you made a short yesterday, you must have made some profit as the price had actually went down lower than $36,500. But there are some recoveries seen for now. The price has now gotten past $37,000 and is even approaching $38,000. But there seems to be no sign that this upward direction is going to last until $40,000. I don't trust the way the price is moving right now. It could go back to $36,000 easily anytime.

I'm more incline to see the recoveries in the last 24 hours. Again, another surprise by the market run today as the price goes to $38k at certain time frame. Asian market is very busy with the trading so I wouldn't be surprised that maybe in the next 8 hours we will maintain that $38k'ish run that we seen right now. We do hope that the next stop will be $40k at the end of the month.

From $36,500 to $38,000 in a matter of hours is nice recovery already. There's Bitcoin volatility clearly shown for us all. Although this is the good side of volatility happening right now, the other way could happen any time. Either we will get back to $40,000 at the end of the month or slide down once again to the lower part of the $30,000 limit.

These are still exciting times. On the overall, Bitcoin is still bullish with all the rising inflation, Canada chaos, and new players joining the market.

Bitcoin's future confidence will reach more than $40000, as the market is now closer to the recovery of the correction from before, although the support for the recovery has not fully returned to the normal path, but when compared to the previous month, bitcoin is now on the green track slowly, I think for the future bitcoin will find a real recovery, a lot of support that convinces us that in the future bitcoin will return to the green path

sad to believe but i think we must admit that this situation will get worst in the next following weeks and months.
I hope that the sadness that you anticipate does not last long but there is a bright hope that with the start of many countries recognizing bitcoin will make good news for the development of bitcoin. although it is certainly not easy because we know that bitcoin has made unstable movements from the start and continues to easily fall back even though it has increased.

it's hard to expect bitcoin to stay at a price above $40K, because it keeps going back down and what's currently expected is hopefully bitcoin doesn't drop below $30K, of course it will be bad news and will continue to drag on like you said which will probably be the next month that price will continue to occur.

this thread is now having sense because the price of bitcoin now stays below 40 k and that is what OP is asking actually so  lets assume that this will be the level for the whole quarter or even the next by april to june?

sad to believe but i think we must admit that this situation will get worst in the next following weeks and months.

If the war between Ukraine and Russia will come to worse which is currently happening right now then maybe we can see more dumps to come as many people will be afraid on possible crisis scenario and fuds will spread in cryptocurrency scene so I guess the one we need to do is to prepare if major dump came(hopefully not) and prepare for another funds to buy at the cheapest price it may possibly go.

Yes,,, I have to sadly agree here. A lot of people are talking about the greens now and it seems foolish to think a big recovery is on its way just because of some retracement back. I think the bears do not even need to try so hard now because stockmarkets are just pushing every trader confidence down and crypto is only experiencing the shared negativity.

Unfortunately we cannot do nothing except to assume the worst possible scenario, the world was hopeful that a war could be avoided and the conflicts at Ukraine could be solved peacefully, but now those hopes are broken and this is being reflected in all the markets around the world, and of course bitcoin is being affected by it as well, the question is how long the war will last? As a long war will be bad for the economies of the world that were just recovering from the impact of the pandemic.

Russia already initiate the attack and Putin say this not negotiable anymore so we can expect more worse in next following days since Russian troops are now aggressive to penetrate on Ukrainian borders. And the bad effect of it will continue and might will go to worse if there are other countries like US will join the fight against Russia so maybe what we need to do is prepare for bad situation to come.

True, the war has started already. But did you notice though that price of bitcoin today? despite the news, the price seems to be not bothered all. On the contrary, we've seen it almost touching $39k and it's hard to know that is the reason for the sudden spike in prices, yesterday it was -10% decrease now it's flip, we've experience a huge -10% increase. So the next question is, can we get over $40k again or is this pure manipulation again?

Decent recovery yesterday alongside a few other asset types, large amount of volume with the positive price action.  Now current highs are just under a weekly average, Im optimistic it can gain further even if just going sideways here.  Eventually should register above 40k, prospects for this just rely on digestion of past gains and a hold at these prices I think
https://talkimg.com/images/2023/06/12/A3KzW.png
38k to 37k at lowest would be the ideal to see till next week.  It could be alot more positive then that before then but just holding here seems a place to remain optimistic.
On a daily closing bar basis we did maintain above the lowest range of prices for this year.  The intraday low was higher then prior low, some positives to note.

But its good to see that after a day mate when the war started? we now seeing a growing market as there are greening happening , bitcoin climbing back to 38k and of course followed by altcoins.
this maybe a indication that the war between Russia and Ukraine does not really bringing bad effect in market at all.
so Lets enjoy those who are in profit who bought when the price fell down to 33k .

I think the bitcoin price will continue to move up above $40k. Even now the price of bitcoin is back at $39k after the last few days it has decreased in the range of $34k. At the current chart movement, it can be seen that the Bitcoin price is still rising, the possible target price will be around $42k. I see the Bitcoin price has seen strong signs of a reversal back to the upside since the last two days.

I agree on what @peter0425 said. Situation can get worst sooner or later not because of other things but due to the war's that are happening now. This is not a fud that we are spreading but its a fact. This is not a reason for us to feel bad or feel scared but lets be strong, stay motivated and continue buying and holding because the future of btc is surely gonna be bright.

This is another fact that cant be erased, we need to take note of that. We also need to keep in mind that btc's nature is volatile. Hoping for the price to stay on one position can be a difficult thing to achieve. Instead, we can ask questions like if btc can touch this "xxx" amount, as that is more possible.

Most people were surprised by yesterday's quick bitcoin price correction because to be honest the Russian and Ukrainian effects have left many people doubting about its recovery. Bitcoin is a trading asset that is known to be highly volatile and carries a high risk of loss when a trader or investor cannot convince himself to hold on to a correction. When they sell at a lower price than the buy price they have lost some money.

Doubts about a deeper decline due to the war are plausible reasons why people panic to sell. I don't know if those living in Russia or Ukraine felt comfortable holding bitcoins during the conflict, but it seems the war has influenced them to sell their bitcoin (some or all).

Bitcoin price is not predictable and their is no assurance that Bitcoin is basically going to pin at this particular price at moment, we all know that bitcoin always fluctuates, two days now the price is moving is going up and down, some predictors seems Bitcoin like what will accelerate to fifty thousand (50k), and at this point Bitcoin is at thirty eight thousand (38k) so no one actually know if the price will fall below thirty thousand (30). In summary know one knows Bitcoin determination or next movement because no one knows who is entering the market to boast the market.

This isn't even the first time people consider what happens to holders and investors in times of conflict and physical uncertainty and I think the idea that people hold more to preserve it from capture is a bit out of evidenced behaviour.

The only thing keeping Bitcoin stashed is those transporting wealth. That is safer and much more discrete than Hiding gold and precious stones to transport alongside flight. Do not even need to physically carry anyhing if you secure private keys to be retrieved later.

Otherwise, considering myself, and am sure what most people do in crisis, I would liquidate for emergency expenses. Travel, fees, bribes, whatever. Crisis is a selling requirement.

Right now the price is above that level and it seems we are going to close above it today, but things are simply too unpredictable at the moment, the number and the extent of the sanctions that we are seeing against the Russian government is increasing, and while this is the correct thing to do, at the same time this will have a negative effect over the world economy, and we could see another important decrease in the price during the next weeks.

Talk about unpredictability, it happened again. $43k. IMO, this is the time they are buying Bitcoin to keep as their stash rather than in gold or hard cash. This way they could bring it quietly without any questions and also for security. Just remembering the seed phrase is all that matters.
Could this be Ukranians buying it or are this Russians trying to keep their money stay in value while their economy is crumbling? That's all the reason I could see because the spike was too sudden.

Russia-Ukranian clashes lead the new bullish move, in this way it happened again $43k. Russian Ruble is facing incredibly troublesome stage as multiple sanction coming constantly. Russian Ruble continues falling regardless of offering doubles interest rate. Additionally trading volumes in Bitcoin using the ruble have surged to the most significant level since may 2021. It appears that Russian people trust on Bitcoin over their national currency Ruble.

The impact of the war that occurred today in ukraine of course triggered considerable panic for bitcoin holders, thus making them prefer to sell their bitcoins and prefer to invest in more stable altcoins such as usdt today, although today we can see the price of bitcoin has improved a little, but in my opinion the decline in the bitcoin market could happen again if the war escalates and spreads between russia and ukraine which may be helped by nato, so the increase in bitcoin prices today in my opinion is less  convincing.

They don't have a choice but to trust bitcoin for now since there are so many sanctions and the usage of their own currency is so limited at the moment so their adoption towards bitcoin is not surprising since this looks like their safe heaven right now. If Russian government will take this more harder for sure more country will impose or support the sanction given to them so hopefully Putin will realize this and it will make their economy more at huge risk if he continue to high up his pride towards his decisions made earlier.

You said something very nice. In the current state of Bitcoin, nothing can be said accurately. Because if the price of Bitcoin is pumped at 2% then after a few days it becomes 10% dump. Trading at this time is also very risky. I think if the bitcoin goes to 50K then after a few days bitcoin can come to 35K.
For the increase in the price that we're experiencing by now will undergo price correction. By that time we'll come to know the market crash. This is the time to profit for the traders, because of the good volatility that is being experienced regularly. With this ongoing market rise there is no impact of the whales, the growth is happening out of people's investment than the institutional investment. So, this time the growth is real and nothing manipulated or something out of panic.

The number of wallets with 1k+ bitcoins has increased insanely high right after the sanctions. I mean do we really believe that it was all thanks to bitcoin being hyped, or just pure coincidence that it happened now? It is obvious that Russian oligarchs ended up buying bitcoin in bulks.

Even the show Zelensky played showed oligarchs that ruled over the nation in hiding, do you really think those people would be happy with Putin right now? All of their money gone because of him. So they will go to bitcoin, and try to get another person elected, and after that we are going to end up with some sort of situation where they can go back to ruble in the future when all the dust is settled. Until then, I believe bitcoin will do fine.

That is true. I've seen bitcoin transactions' volume in Russia increased 150% in the past days, while ruble severely dropped. That is the highest volume in 9 months and refer to more than 1,5 billion rubles.

In Ukraine a similar situation is happening between the local currency and bitcoin, although in minor scale.

Probably bitcoin has been able to almost hit 44,000$ again for this reason, but I don't see this as a big impact.

Here is the recent range in March, we are losing the 2 day average which is a fast measure for momentum.   We now test the lower ends of the range most likely and dollar is relatively strong so it is good test of resolve for bullish recent action.  Weekly, monthly and also 50 day average are all quite close to 40k area so we might test that common area of significance but for now I think we continue quite bullish with increasing higher lows.

Bitcoin price back Under $40k again but i think bitcoin price will above $40k+ end of February. I still believe bitcoin price movement correction. 2021 bitcoin price was under $30k similar time but now bitcoin price around $37k+ i hope bitcoin price grow up again this year and i hope bitcoin development wil more increase also.
Bitcoin is doing just fine staying above 40k, definitely there's a correction but I think that it's nothing to worry about, hopefully by that time that it happens, I would be able to buy a small amount and hopefully get a decent profit. Just hodl and hope that the price will go up and it definitely will because there's the war in Europe right now and bitcoin can benefit from it if Russia gets more economic sanctions in them.

Correction is not something that you worry about especially that you're buying the dip. You sound like you're doubting whether or not correction is something worrying lol.

Anyways, I don't think Bitcoin could actually benefit from the war because of all those economic sanctions. Like what has been discussed on the other thread, Russian fiat currency could actually convert into Chinese Yuan and nobody would ever know it. Bitcoin isn't the only way they're by passing the sanctions, but If they do then it might give a good effect on Btc price.

Well I was surprised as well by the positive movement in the markets, I think that some people may have thought it was a good opportunity to buy bitcoin as without a doubt the war and the sanctions that are being put forward all over the world are going to have a negative effect on the economy, and even if right now it is too soon to talk about a bull market at least we are back above the 40k level, something that is very positive as despite the decrease in the price we have seen during the last months the price is twice as high as the ATH we reached at the end of 2017.

Unfortunately today's market drop again so the price of Bitcoin is under $ 40k which is $ 38K, many analysts are convinced that the Red Market will occur throughout the year 2022, even sure Bitcoin prices will drop below $ 25K, but I think Bitcoin always has the opportunity to recover and skyrocket again so I'm not worried even though the market is dropping.
These type of drops (small ones) tend to be fragile and not really have a long term impact. This doesn't mean that it will skyrocket back up again, but it certainly doesn't mean that it will go down more neither. Usually when bitcoin goes down, it goes down a lot, we lived through those days a lot, we all remember how it could go from 50k to under 40k in a single day, or even hour. So when you are at 41k to 42k or so, and drop to barely under 40k, that doesn't really tell me anything.

I personally hope that we will do better, but it will probably take some time before it goes there. So, we just need to wait and see but meanwhile get your cash ready for a drop, and your stop loss ready as well.

We are indeed in the bear market, but at least there is no massive drop just like 2018. I mean the bulls keeps fighting back, just like what we have seen, they trying to maintain the $45k level at least for some time now. So we will see if we can defend the $38k price and then go bounce back to $40k. So there will be another drop in the price in the $35k range. But I don't see it dropping to $25k and if did, then could be a good recovery because that price is very cheap.

That's OK. For the time being, it may be prudent to wait until the price may turn higher, and we must be vigilant in order to spot possibilities. Hopefully, it will come to a halt around $37k and gradually grow to $40k.

We know as a fact that the most common market conditions we can find is a ranging market, and right now it seems this is what we are seeing, the market is undecided which direction to take, it cannot go up by much as there is a war that is still ongoing and anything could happen during the next months and years, however the price cannot go that much lower as people are worried about how their fiat currencies will react, and some still have high hopes for bitcoin in the case we get to see inflation going out of control all around the world, so most likely the market will keep moving like this for some time.

that ranging market which it is really hard to make out some analysis whether this one would stay for long or something that preparing for some take off into its price but with the current situation we are in or simply with

It looks like your prediction did not come true the first time around, but there is a high probability that this scenario will come true now.
The first drop was slightly below $35k and back above $40k. I think now the drop will be down to the level you predicted, which is $30k, and from there we will climb to $50k.

The market isn't easy predictable. Today the market tested $40k resistance, but wasn't able to move forward. On retesting the resistance barrier it has fallen down to $39k. Now trading at $38k. This time the FED meeting scheduled for the upcoming week is connected with market decline. Along with this the proposal for the travel rule to keep track of the every transaction amounting €1000+ in cryto also a reason for the price to step down to $40k.

Even in the current market conditions there are ways to take advantage of the way the market moves but it requires a different strategy, most of the time people use strategies that take advantage of strong trends, whether those trends move upwards or downwards does not matter at all, however when the market is moving like this then we need a strategy that identifies where the resistance and the support levels are and then we can sell or buy respectively when the price gets close to those levels.

I would guess that even in the current market situations, the long term people like me are doing fine. I am in profit because I am in it for the long term and have been for a while and the price is still 5x higher than where I bought it, even at the current stage, my averages are fine and I am doing fine. Why? Because I invested early on, and kept on investing no matter what, and this meant that I get to benefit even after it dropped from 68k to lower levels.

Obviously it would be better if I sold it at 68k and bought it back right now, I would have so much more bitcoin, but that doesn't mean that I am not profiting right now neither.

When the price seems to rise above $40k there will be a lot of selling so the market is corrected again, the biggest factor is of course because of the large number of FUDs and as an experienced investor, of course, you are not affected by FUDs so always stay calm and buy more.
Not true, there are no lot of selling happening when the price of Bitcoin reached 40k because this is the stable value of bitcoin nowadays and you can check that clearly so if you say  that there are lot of selling then this must be 20k level now? but have you look at the prices today?
you are totally wrong here.

Same here, sometimes the number plays in my mind if I sold at a all time high. Nevertheless I'm willing to preserved my bitcoin and then just continue to accumulate and wait till the next bull run before I realize and take my profits.

We also had something like this back in 2021 when it was 20k. We had it go to 40k, then go back down, go to 40k then go back down. This happened either 5 or 6 times before it went over 20k and I believe that it is definitely something that resembles the current situation. I am not saying that it will go to 50k+ or even higher, all I am saying is that we are at a point where it "could" happen.

Whenever the price is stuck and doesn't go up properly, and just fails to go above a certain level, that usually means that we are at a place where people could say "enough is enough" and end up skyrocketing the price of bitcoin and that "may" happen right now.

The price never stays at one level for a long time. It's maybe 3 months tops and then there's a breakout... or a breakdown :D

You could see it every time like in last year May - July sideways chopping and a breakout.
Now the last big drop was in January so this or next month it's going to end with a big move. Let's hope the move is up, but even if it is down it's going to be the last buying opportunity before the big boom like in 2018 when it was chopping for months at 6k and then had a drop to 4k which was the best opportunity to get more.

At the end that is what distinguishes good investors from the bad ones, we are all experiencing the same market and the same erratic movements so how can we explain that some of those investors can get huge success while others lose everything? And I think the most likely explanation is their decision making ability, bad investors get scared when the price goes down and they even sell their coins, while good investors not only do not get scared but instead see an opportunity to buy even more bitcoin for a discount, so eventually they get more bitcoin which they can later resell for huge profits once the bull market comes back.

Everyone is expecting bitcoin to get to $50000 again, but I am thinking this is not possible for now, I know the price will increase above $50000 but I think it is not now. this is a clear answer that it DOESN"T

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/

as the time I am posting this? the price of Bitcoin as at 38k and still dumping a little so it is not what said in the title that 40k is the maintaining value .

rather than seeking for that why not take the advantage of buying more?

I will not say this is the time to buy more bitcoin because it seem more of sell than buy, but if you have long term reasoning about it, then you can buy because bitcoin will increase and you will gain, but I see now as a time the price may favor the bears than bulls, if you noticed before, bitcoin was pumped from around $36000, $37000 and $38000 to over $40000 for like four or five times, but if you notted recently which happens like 12 hours ago, it was pumped to $39900, this has been the new resistance nownand seeming like bitcoin price is drastically falling for now.

texting 40k and staying above is very possible for my opinion ,but I would like to see Bitcoin test $28k-25k Monthly pattern and the retest of 20k level broke since 2020 that has never been retested and too ,for liquidity that has long been accumulating around $28k,30k,35k to be grabbed.

Seeing the trend that has occurred since touching almost $70k then this is a long time record, bitcoin looks stable in the $35k-$45k range, for daily trading of course this is better than prices that continue to skyrocket because there is no opportunity to buy or vice versa when the price continues to decline so it can not take profit.
This market involves up and down which it is a time on where you do make out specific actions for you to make profits. We couldnt just have a market that would be having continuous price rise and its

expected that there would really be these volatility or price movements. Now we are even struggling on breaking 40k resistance point whom we had though that this would already be the solid support.

Somehow we are really that making out some positive movement as of this writing but dont anticipate much that price would be shooting up.

That is true, the price looks less volatile recently, but there would be a time the price would be more volaltile and this can be anytime, any day or any week. Traders should be careful and use a lesser margin and prepare for this. It is true though that the price recently not volaltile, it is not even up to $45000 for bitcoin price recently and not down to $35000, the volatility has been around $37000 and $42000. But there is possiblity that the price of bitcoin may go down way than up way in my opinion though.

Currently  the investors and market is very confused and doesn't know which direction to head to because of the issues around the world, and it's obviously seen in the chart.
What issue around the world are you talking about? I see no issue right now. Investors should never get confused, bitcoin ATH was $69000, the price has been reduced to $39000, then they can invest if they have long term plan of investment. They can divide the money into parts, investing as the market price is decreasing so it will favor when bitcoin price starts to increase.

In 2022 bitcoin looks stable at an average of $38k, for those who are used to daily trading of course this is very profitable because it can get profit, but I prefer to hold long-term or at least another year and am optimistic that it can pass the record highs that have occurred in the month November 2021.

Daily trading could be making a lot of money during this period for sure, buying at a bit lower and then selling a bit higher and keep doing that each time it goes down and up would make you a great profit. However, it could also cause you to lose a lot of money if you are on the wrong side.

There are plenty of people who sell at 38k because they fear it will go down even more, and buy at 42k because they think it will go up more and repeat that. Not too many times in a row obviously but they still do that. I feel like we should not be really that much in trouble. Just let it be for the time being and I am sure that it will go up eventually and long term investors will win as well.

No, Bitcoin price wasn't stable around $38k since the first day in 2022. The price of Bitcoin ever increased about $47k and dropped around $33k. The gap was quite large, it was $14k. So, we cannot claim that Bitcoin price was stable at a certain rate/price. In addition, since the price dropped from $47k to $33k, the price seems hard (difficult) to return to $47k again. Those who accidentally traded or bought at $47k, still can recover their losses, right?

Next resistance on weekly chart is around 42,800. I think now the main issue is war in Ukraine which has grossly impacted all financial markets including Bitcoin and further price increase will certainly depends on negotiations  progress and peace is restored in Ukraine.

even Russia is looking at this phase mate , legalizing Bitcoin same as how Ukraine is planning .

What i believe is that hitting 41k is not enough in our position now, maybe it is better to stay above 45k and may climb high more as the years moving .

though I hate admitting that dropping below that price may happen any moment again.

Just hodl and hope that the price will go up and it definitely will because there's the war in Europe right now and bitcoin can benefit from it if Russia gets more economic sanctions in them.
correction for what? why does always correction need to be mentioned even if there is no good increase happens?
and also why people keeps on seeking about the effect of correction when the price of bitcoin only climb 3-7%?
remember that this is not altcoin that traders use as material , instead most of bitcoin supporters are holders that can afford to Hold for at least longer time.

We have no idea if it's going to stay there for so long.

If it can't handle $40k then $45k is unlikely to be held when it comes. Whether we like it or not, the volatility of bitcoin cannot be predicted accurately.

And that's what we like to see for its price, to be always at a higher level because that makes the value that we hold higher.

Bitcoin is doing just fine staying above 40k, definitely there's a correction but I think that it's nothing to worry about, hopefully by that time that it happens, I would be able to buy a small amount and hopefully get a decent profit. Just hodl and hope that the price will go up and it definitely will because there's the war in Europe right now and bitcoin can benefit from it if Russia gets more economic sanctions in them.
correction for what? why does always correction need to be mentioned even if there is no good increase happens?
and also why people keeps on seeking about the effect of correction when the price of bitcoin only climb 3-7%?
remember that this is not altcoin that traders use as material , instead most of bitcoin supporters are holders that can afford to Hold for at least longer time.
Even it do plays around 3-7% on volatility which is a normal movement in the market but whether you do like it or not there are people who do love to play with these movements
and make money out of it.They dont really care about crashes and pumps as long they could make money out of these small movements. For those who do hold for long term
then these movements wont really be that stressful either but for swing traders then t hey are usually ones who do make out these questions in mind and hesitate
whenever it do move on particular percentages.

Every dip below $40,000.00 seems to be shorter and shorter lived.  You can see the floor rising as investors look to continue gaining exposure to Bitcoin.  This is a much healthier market in my opinion than the blasting to new highs we've seen in the past.  No idea how long this accumulation period will last, or if it will continue unabated through the dumping of mtgox coins on the market, but I have a feeling once the accumulation period does end, we'll be blasting to retest the all time high.  I'm not sure if this will happen this year or another 3 years from now, but it seems like the rocket is being refueled.  I wouldn't sell more than you need to survive the next couple of years here.

It is same thought process majority of us have, it is good to see that we are still seeing accumulation by huge numbers but it is hard to say whether we will test the all time high valuation anytime soon nor have a clue when we will see a major correction as the market is doing good right now and whenever there is a correction, the market is accumulating and it is a good sign until we see a major flip in the sentiments.

Absolutely right. Every dip below 40K is a buying opportunity for long term Investors of Bitcoin. Market has already discounted news of 0.25% increase of interest rate announced by FED yesterday. I think accumulation phase will continue until we get some good news from Ukraine which is inflating crude oil price and cause decline in all financial markets including Bitcoin as there is strong co-relation between US stock market and Bitcoin, nowadays.

Bitcoin prices that are too high make speculators continue to buy so that will make prices continue to rise, the good thing is there is a balance that sells because they feel profit and this keeps the price ideal, I prefer the $40k bitcoin price as it is today because I think this is a good price to buy and keep for the long term.

If there's no increase we can assume that the price is just getting stable. It's wrong to say correction if there is no major increase in value IMO because that is not what correction all about. Correction is a part of this market, that is why people always mentioned it.

There's a correction that happened in the beginning of this year and it last for almost two months if I am not mistaken? But, during the month of march, the correction are I think have subsided. One of these days what we are seeing now is recovery and stableness. The reason is explained by them above, on why they seek correction, that's because they want to buy bitcoins in a bargain price.

Unfortunately people keep calling for correction as soon as the price goes up. When the price is going down, there are people who say that it is crashing and everyone should run away, and when it goes up they say the correction is coming.

Correction does happen at some times, there is no denying that and I agree that there are corrections here and there all the time. However, if we look at it in a way where we could make a profit based on what we know right now, those corrections are prices where we could accumulate more and profit later. Imagine if you went all in at under 40k and sold at 40k for the past 2 months, how many times did it go down and up? You would have profited so much.

In 2022 bitcoin looks stable at an average of $38k, for those who are used to daily trading of course this is very profitable because it can get profit, but I prefer to hold long-term or at least another year and am optimistic that it can pass the record highs that have occurred in the month November 2021.
in the last few months the price of Bitcoin has been very stable and has moved between $34k - $42k, to be honest for day traders this is a golden time to make profit from day trading.  just like you, i also see the potential for bitcoin to $60k+ in Q3 or Q4 2022 later.

True. Stability in Bitcoin price is not only good for day traders but also good for those who are alts and waiting for rally in Alts market. I am already witnessing some bullish momentum like Luna, AVAX and BNB and Matic. 40K is an important physiological level of Bitcoin and if it stays above it for few weeks then we can see further increase in Bitcoin price in coming weeks. The next important level is 45K.

The great thing about stability is that you could make arrangements to accumulate a lot more without getting confused. I mean most of the time all we do right now is to get more and more coins. This means people are still sure about the price of crypto going up, they just do not do it all together at the same time with "all-in" mentality.

We just accumulate, slowly gather more and more with small amounts constantly and this keeps it from going down. It means when the price goes up, there will be a lot more people who will profit from this than previous years. I mean we had some crazy good ATH prices, but the next one will make a lot more people rich.

What if expecting bull market but the Q3 and Q4 becomes more of bears market? What I am thinking is that even 2x correction is never enough is we check the history of bitcoin price chart. Bitcoin might not get to $14000 or below, it might not even reduce below $20000 to $30000, but I do not think bitcoin reaching even $50000 will ever be possible again this year but anything can happen the and we should think more in the bullish direction when there some correction already.

Happy because today Bitcoin rose more than 3% and we were in the $ 42K position, I was sure the price surge would continue to occur so it would not hesitate to continue buying before the more expensive, seeing the trend in the market, I was optimistic that March prices could reach $ 50k.

Somehow we are really that making out some positive movement as of this writing but dont anticipate much that price would be shooting up.
And it just hit $41k again.

This is the positive development that we're seeing right now. I don't know the reason for it but it's just probably the usual market reaction from what we're seeing which includes the war.

Maybe this is the reason for it, Ukraine is about to legalize crypto.

--> https://www.coindesk.com/policy/2022/03/16/ukraines-zelensky-signs-virtual-assets-bill-into-law-legalizing-crypto/
even Russia is looking at this phase mate , legalizing Bitcoin same as how Ukraine is planning .

What i believe is that hitting 41k is not enough in our position now, maybe it is better to stay above 45k and may climb high more as the years moving .

though I hate admitting that dropping below that price may happen any moment again.

Yes and that is why what we only need is to invest the funds we can afford to wait long or stay away for a while .

but i chose to keep holding rather than forcing myself to sell when I know that the opportunity to increase is always there.

but seeing the price increasing to almost 43k now is a good sign that we can see 50k very soon.

Sometimes it is won, sometimes it is lost. But now $40,000 is $2,000 away. I hope $40,000 won't fall anymore and we will be seeing Bitcoin trying to knock at the $50,000 door. Not only is it possible within March, it is very possible within the month.

The reality is that 30k or so levels are always possible these days, we should not be shocked about that. But, at the same time we have equal chances on 50k+ as well. Doesn't mean that we should be focusing just on the 50k part, of course get ready for the 50k part as well as the 30k part. How do you do that?

You put a stop loss, and you put a buy order, and a sell order. This allows you to make sure that you are doing fine when there is a big increase, and you will still be fine when there is a big decrease at the same time. Doesn't mean that you need to pick a side, you could definitely make sure that you could profit from the both sides.

Maybe we all have big expectations for a bitcoin bullrun in December 2021 and some disappointment is possible.  However, speculation is a long-term game, bitcoin has the internal force to maintain its upward momentum.  Even if we do get back to 29k as of May 2021, it's still a big sign that market demand reacts to what bitcoin represents.  I expect bitcoin has really broken out of 3x k$

Most likely $34k is the last we can see it this year!

Bitcoin rose to $43500 yesterday, but decreased 3% today, it decreased to $41900 and rose to $42500 today. Now the price is slightly drastically decreasing/or probably fluctuating at a specific price. The price can go up at anytime but this is showing bear market to me but which may not be that significant.

Yes and that is why what we only need is to invest the funds we can afford to wait long or stay away for a while .
This applies to trading for me, but for holding, I can even hold the money I have in fiat which I do not want to spend for long time, but holding it in bitcoin.

Really hard to tell actually on where prices could actually able to hold on or simply talking with 40k support and we've been staying on these levels for a while now, it do make out some corrections or dumps and then later

on it do make out some recovery which do plays around on 40k+ above which it is mind boggling if it would really able to break this resistance and would continue to 50k.I know its not really that appealing to rush

but we are really that staying into this level for so long.So this would be basically a test of patience on holding your position.

There is a series of lower highs on the daily bars for this year thus far which has to be defeated as a possible trend.   If this recent high holds and we do not defeat that relative high then it could be seen a reason to be more cautious.

https://talkimg.com/images/2023/06/12/A3mMv.png

I think the uptrend is stronger but its best not to assume any pattern observable is not going to hold so the overlying series of lower prices on this irregular pattern will need to be tested and we'll at that point find out how solid it is.  Usually any trend does initially have some sell before later being exceeded by continued buying if we do prove to be bullish over this week for example.

Yeah, once again that proves that the market is totally unpredictable because no matter how much negative speculations that we saw, the flow of the price is still going in the opposite direction. It seems that btc won't disappoint the people that is rooting for it. Btc needs to do it, now is the time to do a payback because it got dumped few months ago. Have you check the price earlier before you comment?

I don't know what is its price earlier but I check just now and I see that btc was now at 43.9k. It can be said that btc is now stable at the range of 40k but I am not sure if 50k can be touched within this month because we only have 7 days left.

Just as nobody expected, the price increased all over again. It was going a slight bit lower today, and everyone assumed it would be 38k again (then 42 again and 38 again etc) but it broke the chain. Now we are at 44k all over, and people are acting as if nobody knew this could happen. When in fact, everyone who knows how the crypto market works already said that this was the last of the cycle and it would get better from here. Why was it so obvious? Because the support was building a lot faster at a lot higher price, it was such an obvious situation. In the end, its fine, and we should feel fine, nobody is late, not even now.

I don't think Bitcoin price move in the opposite direction. There should be some reasons why Bitcoin price can increase or decrease. The current increase (BTC hits $44k) is probably the impact of good news about crypto from Ukraine and USA. People are interested to buy more Bitcoin because they view the potential for an improvement on Bitcoin in the near future. It was very different from the situation when BTC price dropped around $35k several weeks ago, people were afraid to buy Bitcoin because of the issue of the world's economic status. The demand was decreasing much, people are worried the war may bring negative impacts to crypto market. So, basically, BTC price moves according to the current situation in crypto, and it can be a bit predictable. IMO

I was a little bit skeptic with the current run, specially when it hits $43,000 again, but seeing the price going as high as $44,000 right now, hard not to think that this could be a bull run or just a bull trap. So we still need to be very cautious in our trading strategy right now, it's better to wait for the price to at least go down to buy and get inside. Of course, there is always the FOMO, but then again, with the war in Europe, we don't know if this the reason behind or it's just that Bitcoin narrative has change, cycles has evolved as well. There were even a call that we might be seeing super cycles, so we will see how it goes.

The good news keeps popping up causing BTC price to rise to 44k yesterday, but it's best that we patiently watch and wait. This is not a good time to FOMO, I still expect BTC to hit 50k by the end of this month but that is just a guess as this is most likely a bull trap.
A lot of people predict this is not bitcoin's bull season but altcoins season, along with BTC a lot of Alts have had rallies in the past week.

The market is currently quite speculative, there is a lot of negative support involving bitcoin in the market, so the price of bitcoin continues to be suppressed until now, I have doubts in the near future for bitcoin to recover, the current price is likely to fall again when viewed from the market scheme of bitcoin sentiment, not yet plus several cases that are happening in the world, which make the issue of bitcoin even worse, this is what pushes bitcoin more and more difficult to rise in the near future

The market is currently quite speculative, there is a lot of negative support involving bitcoin in the market, so the price of bitcoin continues to be suppressed until now,
There has been downturn few weeks ago but this week has been different, right from last week weekend up to today (Friday), the price of bitcoin has-been more on the bull side and the price of bitcoin has risen from price below $38000 to over $43500. The market has been bulksih recently.

I have doubts in the near future for bitcoin to recover, the current price is likely to fall again when viewed from the market scheme of bitcoin sentiment, not yet plus several cases that are happening in the world, which make the issue of bitcoin even worse, this is what pushes bitcoin more and more difficult to rise in the near future
If you mean the war in Ukraine as somethings happening in the world, do not think the war is yet that connect to bull and bear price of bitcoin. In long term, bitcoin will still also increase in oroyce, reach ATH again.

good news, if Bitcoin  can stay above $40000 and don't fall below $40000 again,
then i am sure that Bitcoin will try to rise at the level of $50000, this is only just to my analysis,

you can look for other references, many on twitter that discuss Bitcoin prices,
hopefully it can goes up to our expectations.

Yes, that's right, recently bitcoin has shown a gradual bull, so bitcoin has gone up from $38000 to $43500, but the next question is, will this last or bitcoin return to its previous price, because the market has not fully recovered in my opinion

Not related to the long term, I mean there is another side that affects bitcoin for now, which is caused by the impact of the war, even though the reality is not that big of an impact, even before the war started, bitcoin has been corrected for a long time

Bad news is it hasn't break the daily yet at $46k and I think that it will still have room for some sideways movement from here but if broken I'd say it will become a parabolic rally. Not to taken lightly those twitter discussion but some analysis out there are sometimes overrated in a sense.

I think, for now, I see growing positive sentiment that could push the Bitcoin price up to $50k. Even the Bitcoin price has risen above the $40k level to its current $47k position. Therefore, I estimate that the bitcoin price will likely continue to rise and the bitcoin price will likely touch $55k again.

When bitcoin got to $40000, it only takes some hours to move higher, even if it will move back to low price, the next increase were significant to the extent it moved so higher than previous price. After it got to $48150, it has been its peak and it reduced back to $47400. If the price stay long at this present range, it is very possible that bear market is coming. So bears would have been shorting now I guess.

A good thing in the last few days because bitcoin continues to rise and almost reaches $50k again, the daily transaction volume that continues to increase makes me optimistic that in april bitcoin prices can reach $60k and of course there will be new ATH again before june or my forecast is April to May.

I believe that the reverse is a bit more possible. I believe that if we are talking about price getting stuck after a big increase that usually means that we hit a barrier and we are regrouping to get better. Doesn't mean that we will be losing much, we could end up getting even better in the long run.

All we need to handle right now is that we should be focusing on regrouping, getting a better support and weakening the resistance level. If we can do that, then we could break above that 48k+ price very easily and be above 50k. Obviously I could be wrong, who knows what bitcoin will do, nobody really "knows", we are just making predictions but I do believe that we are going to do better.

The price of bitcoin has be increasing and got above $48000, but the price decreased a little to around $47000, it has been around this price since two or three days ago, if this is getting longer, likely the price of bitcoin may not increase as it started from $38000 and likely the price may decrease more, but I am thinking it will not decrease below $42000 while $40000 would be a strong support.

If you look at the developments in the previous year, maybe yes what you said, but hasn't the price decline against bitcoin not yet reached its lowest point until now, indeed the correction and recovery conditions still seem dominant in the market, but I think this will return to normal in the month of May, and I predicting bitcoin will not touch the price of $ 30000 in the future, I am still very optimistic that bitcoin will reach its highest price this year, and hopefully this will be achieved

I agree with you because the price of bitcoin is preparing to hit back $55,000 before the end of this month of April. Since the price of bitcoin has moved from $38,000 to $47,000, show it will definitely hit higher for long term and short term investors to smile again as never before in the community. Despite the price of bitcoin is not too stable yet in the market, but it will be difficult for the price to decrease to $40,000 than to continue increasing till it get to $60,000 that will make everybody not to miss the opportunity, because that is the price everybody is waiting to see before they can sell to make a huge amount of money from their investment.

I have doubts that we can hit as high as $55k at the end of April. As you can see, the price has  dip to $44k now and I have a gut feeling that it can go to the lower $40k again. Investors will always play the market to matter what, to their liking, be it short or long term goal. But for us retail investors, I would say more of the long term. But we will have to see, for me we are in a bearish path, so definitely the price could go down this year (hopefully I'm wrong with my prediction).

I think it is very difficult to predict exactly whether the bitcoin price will stay above $40k or will continue to decline until it hits $30k because there are so many factors that can affect the market and also like the current war situation between Russia and Ukraine
Moreover, the last few week the price of bitcoin had dropped to the range of $38k, but now the price of bitcoin has returned to the range of $46-$47k. Therefore, let's see if the current price increase will continue or will it fall again.

I do not know about world war, but war that have happened in the past in a particular country, or something related to war or crises, people in such area buy more bitcoin. Even in such countries, the price of bitcoin do go up higher than the actually price, people will buy and sell in premium price.

About the war in Ukraine, there was a decrease in price when Putin declared invasion, just little decrease, the price was around $38000 at that time. But before the next 12 hours, the price of bitcoin has risen back. Which means it was caused by panic. The price of bitcoin later increase above $40000 and headed to $48000. The war has no impact than making bitcoin price to increase.

Nobody knows yet where bitcoin price may be heading to this time, it can be below $40000 or above $40000. Although, if below $40000 which is what I am think but guessing, the bull time is still coming when the price will still also rise again.

So bears would have been shorting now I guess.

And that's precisely what they were doing, yesterday some selling pressure as limits hit and scalpers took profit but it didn't last long at all. Those sells are wiped out, and buyers have taken the ride up, accumulation phase I'm not fully on board yet, but the signs are definitely getting stronger.

Again, more important this month is not 50k, but to stay above 40k.

The war has no impact than making bitcoin price to increase.
The same central banks may start looking towards cryptocurrencies. For example, the Ukrainian government legalized cryptocurrencies, and the Russian government began to view cryptocurrencies as a way to circumvent sanctions, so the war has a big impact on bitcoin, from raising the price of the asset to accepting bitcoin as a reserve asset and making it legal tender.
Thanks for the analyses, but we are still on the same page, I am not saying the war has no impact on the price of bitcoin but some people always think the impact is that the price of bitcoin will decrease. Like I said, I do not say it has no impact, but the impact is on the positive side which is adoption and increase in bitcoin price.

I honestly thought yesterday that was it for this time. Touching 48k and then falling and falling and losing 10% in less than a day, no one would have been surprised if it just totally lost hold of 40k.

But we're back up again and btw Ethereum is pushing even higher.

That's usually great news for Bitcoin when others aren't totally reliant on it!

There is too much talks right now about bitcoin going higher and higher, all the way up to the new ATH, which makes one wonder if that might not happen. Right now we see a bounce from 48k and bitcoin cannot recover yet. It might be temporary, of course, while it is a weekend and the major exchanges are down, but I am not sure that from next week there will definitely be an uptrend. We have to wait for bitcoin to break through the 50k resistance and then we can talk about an uptrend.

Again, more important this month is not 50k, but to stay above 40k.
According to Glassnode, people that are holding are still increasing, even people having less than 1 BTC are holding most. It is very possible the price of bitcoin will not stay below $40000, but not reaching $50000 is not what that can be predictable for now. Most importantly, what people are just experiencing right now is that people holds more than sell.

But we're back up again and btw Ethereum is pushing even higher.
This thread is created about bitcoin price prediction, stayking above or below $40k, it is not about any alctoins. Do not mind this. Let us just focus on speculating what the price of bitcoin could be.

Not so sure what you're getting at (other than the obvious that below $40k is about as likely as above $50k, if not more likely) but I'd most certainly hold if I had anything less than 1 BTC (sadly, any pretense I have about having anything substantial is invalidated but how hard I'm still working for my BTC heh). What's 10k gain or loss at such "low" numbers, right?

Wondering if April will see a 10% daily bump either way, as that'll probably trigger a serious move.

I would guess that the logic is that if you could get bitcoin to 50k, sell it there, then buy at 40k that would not be a low amount, that would be a  huge amount of difference. Not just for now, it is exponentially going bigger later on as well. If we have 50k for example, and buy at 50k then we have 1 btc, but if we buy at 0k that means we have 1.25 bitcoin. That means when it reaches 100k, that is 25k difference, when it reaches 1 million then it is 250k difference.

Obviously it is a long term deal to wait for to go up that much, but at the very least we have that chance and possibility and that matters when people are getting in all together. Of course, I agree with you, but I just wanted to explain that view as well.

Bitcoin is holding in the 38-45k range for now. I think that after it has fallen below 44k we should expect the next stop to be around 40k. So far, we see pressure from those who want to sell and we don't see any big purchases. This is not a good sign. It could be that 48k turned out to be a local peak and now bitcoin is off to find new support. Hopefully this correction will not be too deep!

the price of bitcoin is going up and down and is not stable, if the price will go higher i dont think is between this range of this month and this year we have not experienced 60k worth of bitcoin, and i think we are suppose to expecting such increment by next year

Even though many speculators have forecast Bitcoin moving back to below the 40k region a lot of other whales are taking advantage of the current market to stock more in their bag as the market seems too big for a long period of correction stage and I can right predict $50.000 Bitcoin price before the end of the first quarter.

I agree with you, that it leads to the positive if you see from March 17th, it seems that bitcoin is indeed heading for improvement and is trying to continue to increase.
the price of bitcoin from that date has indeed continued to stay above $40K, unfortunately the moment when it reached $47K had to go back down and currently the price is at $42K.
will it move up again? Of course, if bitcoin doesn't fall back below $40K, there's a very big chance of breaking through $50K which will hopefully continue to rise again.

Isn't it though that the best way to stack up bitcoin is during a dip? I think those who are taking advantage as pure speculators who just wanted to squeeze profits due to bitcoin's volatility right now. From $48k to $42k, someone might have sold at the top to make money and then reinvest, sold again, rinse and repeat. And I doubt that the whales will do that. I speculate that the whales have bought a lot when the price is around $33k-$35k and then continue to hold at this time.

Them buying at $33K, they wouldn't be afraid to sell at $45K ad wait til it drops back to $37K where the support is. I'm sure whales are still selling this time and squeezing what they could profit from investors who are going to be force to sell at loss. Bad luck for investors that had bought at the top expecting the price to go up because of the good news they saw on social media. I think it will go below $40K again.

But, it would be better if they can wait for more increase before they sell because that can give them a better profit. If they sell now they are only helping the whales with their plans and that is to dump the market. Almost everyone expects that the price will rise after that news that we saw and if I have the money I think I will also do the same thing.

We shouldn't call that a bad luck because there is still a chance that the price is going to recover and increase more. In this business, there shouldn't be a room for regret but we should accept whatever happens after we decided to sell and buy because this market is very volatile and have lots of surprises.

Bitcoin touched the crucial support of $39200. From that it have bounced reaching close to $40k. Right now it looks like the time to make profit out of scalping. It looks like the market can move downwards/upwards. If downwards below $38k then we can expect the worst scenario of touching $30k and if upwards then we can expect it to reach $50k at the earliest.

For now it looks like $40k to be the major resistance barrier to decide whether the market is on the bullish move or on the bear trend.

The support becomes the resistance now, we thought that $40k is a strong support but it did crumble to the selling pressures.

Hopefully we can go back to the $40k line again, otherwise, if the market didn't hold obviously we might see another downward shift to mid $30k and this is going to be scary and critical again. We've seen lowest low as early as January-February, we might see it again this Apr-May.

Continued weakness says we need to retract further and find greater support before any turn around can happen.   Its not a good idea to fight continued trend and it appears we do have trend to the downside.
We haven't held the 50 day average, if anything its acting as we lost a grip or foothold at that point and now find path of least resistance is downwards.     Try 37800 for a point BTC might act more positively, 40k imo is not big enough beyond momentary moves and obviously rounds number effect.

A good thing in the last few days because bitcoin continues to rise and almost reaches $50k again, the daily transaction volume that continues to increase makes me optimistic that in april bitcoin prices can reach $60k and of course there will be new ATH again before june or my forecast is April to May.
I hope you are right, month of April seems to be always bullish so hopefully btc will hold strong at 40k support, Im a patiently waiting for a bottom to enter a good position this time, looks like ready to bounce anytime.

It is sad that today this thread are broken and the price of bitcoin once again drops down below 40k https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/ i felt desperate because i badly needed funds now and before i decided to withdraw ? the price already fell down this bad.
and also Bitcoin isn't really subjective to maintain this momentum.
maybe I will sell my altcoins instead of Bitcoin because the value continues to drop and i need to assure that when the Bull comes back ? i am ready for selling .

Not really that bullish.
Though looking at the price from the last 5 years I have compiled the highest Btc price for the month of April
https://i.ibb.co/NS71v1R/btc.jpg (https://ibb.co/k1M373Z)
source : CMC.com
It seems like Btc tends to rise on the 4th week of the month having a consistent gain from day 1 to the 30th. This year's price action may be a bit more volatile than from the previous years.
My prediction would be at least $46k-$50k as the highest of April before this month ends.

Mate you created this post while the price of Bitcoin is under 40k , specifically 39,560$ meaning that Bitcoin did not stay 40k , so your hope is invalid i guess?
but now it has recovered back and sitting at 40,200$ as i speak.
but still in bad position because we are aiming for at least continuity from 48k to 50k .

I think the main reason is fear of interest rate increase announcement by FED as inflation number are going to be extra ordinary high, as reported in media. This news  is affecting negatively on Stocks and Bitcoin markets but at the same time Crude are price is also sliding now and it is trading below $100 which will definately lower inflation world wide in coming weeks and months. The other reason is 30% tax on crypto goes into effect.

Yeah, I also believed that this is one of the reasons for the recent decline in price. So it sent panic shockwave to institutional investors and retail as well. And then we still have the war at the sideline.

Good thing though is that the market seems to rebound again today, short rally to push the price above $40k again.

I think so far Bitcoin has been moving in a transition phase from correction to strengthening. I see the current rise in the price of bitcoin indicating that bitcoin is back in a bullish phase. Therefore, the bitcoin price will stay above $40k for a long time and also bitcoin will be able to breakout in the $50K area.

Really hard to determine considering that bitcoin now is playing around 40k resistance. It could really make out some minimal break out and then afterwards it do drop on 37-39k which is something that i had observed.

It do really even have the hard time on going past 45k which to those people who had able to buy into those prices are really making some holding position unless if they had realized and made out some cut losses.

Price movement is really unpredictable and very random which it is really that hard yet it could fucked up your technicals from time to time.

It is true that Bitcoin movements are increasingly difficult to predict, I am also surprised that Bitcoin always moves not according to the results of
the analysis I did. But because I already have a good knowledge of the crypto world and also have a strong belief in the future of Bitcoin. I'm not
too worried about Bitcoin's current performance, although there is a possibility that Bitcoin will still drop even lower, I will still be patient holding
the Bitcoin I have. Even if I had extra money, I would buy more Bitcoins right now. So my advice is not to be too quick to make a decision to cut loss
in the current market situation, we should continue to monitor the movement of Bitcoin in the next few weeks. I hope that in the near future there
will be good news regarding Bitcoin, in order to at least make the price of Bitcoin go back above the $45k price.

I hope it will stay above 40k$, but if it goes down theres nothing we can do we need to hold or else we will loss golden rule is never sale at loss holding is the most important in crypto, if you don't have a strong hands to hold then do trading daily to avoid losing holding really needs a big patience.

That might be the case, but you can't really blame those who are going to sell because of panic and then pushing the sell button and realized that they might have wrong. But they are too emotional to follow the sentiments to dump.

So it's all about the timing of your sell and buying. For sure there is room for regrets, selling early and then the price goes up, that's the nature of crypto for us. We don't know what's going to happen next. The best thing is turning that regrets to experience and not make the same mistakes again.

40k resistance level is considered important during this period, if Bitcoin is not maintained at 40k and falls below 40k perhaps the market will have a strong dump maybe 35k$ before Bitcoin dropped to 30k. Sometimes the market falls, we only hold and wait for the market to rise again, but if it is a wise investor when the falling market will be a great opportunity to own Bitcoin at cheap prices.

the previously formed support line was $43k but what happens is that the price continues to move downwards and currently the bitcoin price is stable at $40k. and now it looks like $40k has become the new support as the price has been stable for a long time. Seeing this condition I think in the next few days the price will move up again.

The market is starting to look quite stagnant today and obviously this poses a bit of a mystery where the price will return to, the current high inflation has a significant influence on bitcoin price movements in the market, bitcoin which is currently at $40K price resistance is still a big chance to experience a downward price correction, so I think it's better for us to hold on to the bitcoins we have right now while waiting and seeing where the market will go.

The market correction is still happening but if it becomes a support point at $40k I haven't determined the price will go up it could bounce down if there is no possessive movement, then I'm not here to do daily or short-term trades this is very vulnerable for me if not do the right analysis, it's more appropriate to hold on patiently because the reflection on the bitcoin price will definitely be seen again, we can only hold on how strong we will sell at the highest price at that time.

Nah, not always. I have been guilty of that actually in the past, used to really time my trades (I have to sell regularly to pay for shit, you know how it goes) and yeah, I won some, and lost some, probably a little bit in the black but for all the time I spent and worrying, I just keep my timing to a week at max, no longer weeks or a month as in the past.

It's applying the same philosophy of DCA. Just spread your risk, you'll always end up on top (and save yourself a lot of time and hassle and worry).

Just this month alone as starter for 2nd quarter . Bitcoin value drops multiple times bringing it bellow 40k though ot recovered eventually but the  essence of this post had been bridged as the price did not carry staying on that level.
But its thankful that even there are dumping happens it made still going up and to the top indeed.
More happenings to cone but i will remain confident in bitcoin positioning this year.
I hope it will stay above 40k$, but if it goes down theres nothing we can do we need to hold or else we will loss golden rule is never sale at loss holding is the most important in crypto, if you don't have a strong hands to hold then do trading daily to avoid losing holding really needs a big patience.

everyone wished bitcoin could break the new ATH again and it did. but all this requires a strong push from various aspects so that bitcoin can penetrate the new ATH again. but unfortunately lately bitcoin is getting little support from various investors and bitcoin is still holding above $40k. whether bitcoin will continue like this until the middle of this year or will there be a positive impact so that bitcoin can penetrate the best price this year.

I think this time bitcoin broke through the important level above $40k, currently bitcoin is being supported by an uptrend. we will see Bitcoin will retest to resistance at $45k. Therefore, if the uptrend support and resistance to the Bitcoin bull flag breakup continues, it will rise again to the price of $48k-$50k.

But asking for the whole 2022 position of bitcoin? then I think 40k will be the basic level till this year ends.

^^ And then just like that, bitcoin is back to $40k and above.
Not sure what causes the sudden spike again, because we wen't down as low as $38k but in less than 24 hours bounce back with a 3.6% increased.

I just think the bears are not going to give up that easily and wanted to defend the strongest line at $40k. So it's good for us to end this month at least above that price.

If you have studied the Bitcoin market chart recently you will see that Bitcoin has been showing a lot of market sentiment lately and this movement has shown a lot of inconsistency in the price of bitcoin time Bitcoin presents a bear market sentiment and another a bullish momentum. We all saw how Bitcoin made a $2k gain selling at $42k or above that was a bull attempt but it did not stay long before the price pulled back to $39k and gradually climbed to $40k at the moment.

The price of $ 40K has lasted almost 6 months and in my opinion this is the longest time when the price can be achieved, but there is a positive thing that we pay attention to that is when the price drops below $ 40k, there will be a large volume of purchase so that prices can return to $ 40k, Hopefully prices can skyrocket again.
