Hello friends. I've been a member of this forum for a while and I want to become a Legendary.
I have a few questions for you:

• As a new member, how long do I have to wait to gain the trust of the members of the forum?
  
• What kind of posts should I leave to progress faster?
• How long does it take to become a Legendary?

How long does it take to become a Legendary?

• examplens: First, you need to reach ~1000 activity. Max, you can earn is 14 activity on bi-weekly (you should need to post about 14 posts in two weeks to get that). (somewhere around less than 3 years)

Literally you're asking suggestions to farm your account to high rank along with good reputation so called positive trust to the community itself. ::)

Get 1000 merits and gain enough activity and that's it what it needs to achieve the legendary rank. :P

First, you need to reach ~1000 activity. Max, you can earn is 14 activity on bi-weekly (you should need to post about 14 posts in two weeks to get that).
So, 1000/14 = 71.42 periods are required to reach the activity limit for Legendary member status, which is somewhere around less than 3 years.
Plus you need merit (but probably you already know that). In case you want to be a Legendary member, you have 3 years to collect 1000 merit

Theoretically, he needs a minimum of 775 activity points, so that time is close to 2 years - although of course, the whole thing can take up to a maximum of 1030 activity points. The problem is much bigger with merits that are not guaranteed with time, but some members have shown that this is possible if a lot of effort and time is invested.

@Daryl_Dixon, if you embark on your legendary mission today, by the next halving you have a chance to become Legendary - good luck ;)

Following Ratimov's case, he is still not Legendary, even with 994 activity and 6800+ earned merits. And who knows, maybe ^Ratimov will need to wait until reaching 1030 activity. maybe theymos increase that limit too  ;)

If you want to join this community and positively contribute to it, you'll become legendary quite easily and it'll feel quite fast. I wouldn't hold it as a mission though, you'll probably care more about your rank than other users will.

Achieving legendary Rank here in the forum is very hard to reach for me why? Because if you have already 1000 merits and not enough activity you will not reach a legendary rank like This (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3373858)
But other members have their enough activities but not enough merits and they will not be promoted as well.
Trust from another user here in the forum is also hard to get why? For me, it's based on the experience of you and another user how trusted you are.

Well you don't literally have to wait. Just contribute to the best you can and time will tell if users would be willing to trust you. It's something you either give or earn anyway.
For what type of posts, it depends on what sort of "contribution" are you willing to give.

I see a lot of Legendary members and many of them deserve to be of that rank.  But there are also many Legendary members who post just to increase their post count.  Merits did make things harder for members noticeably desperate to spam in order to join signature campaigns, but they did not seem to do things hard enough that most of the spam and useless posts are discarded.

I advice you not to set the objective to rank up.  I have just ranked up to Full Member today and I can not say I struggled with my posts.  I just do not chase Merits and they somehow come my way.  This is probably how you earn the quickest.  Be yourself, not a shitpost writing machine.  I hope you do not get offended, this is not directed towards you.

Upon checking your profile, I notice you are an article writer.  That is great!  Find a way to help the community with your skill.  Start writing tutorials or informative articles.  I rather believe the issue you encounter is that your informative articles always end up with a link to read more, which a lot of the Bitcoin Talk users will not do.

The way to go seems to be having a true interest in spending your time to help others out and discuss here.  When you have this interest, it is a smooth ride.  And I think I am not the only one who notices when a member truly cares about what they are writing or they are only writing for Merits, activity or post count.

I know to reach legendary members is not easy it will take a long time I also started now and have big dreams about how to really know this forum but I believe one day I will reach that goal [legendary] I don't know how long it will take over time and my knowledge here, many people will help me raise the rank as long as we really love this forum I think there are many friendly people here who can help move up the ranks because by looking at the quality value of our own posts, so don't be discouraged even at that time long time to break.

If you mean getting trust score under your username, there's no rank requirement for that. You just need to complete trades with trusted users and get positive feedback from them, which they aren't actually obligated to give even if the trade went silky smooth. Users could also give you positive feedback for other things, like being a helpful and useful forum member, exposing scams, etc.

Two things to note - do not under any circumstances try to buy trust score or try to make trades with the sole purpose of getting trust score. That's an immediate red flag of scamming behavior.

No I think he means "acceptance" or "confirmation" from the members that
he is doing things right and gets rewarded with merit by working hard.

as Lucius said Legendary rank is a mixture of activity ^{being on the forum regularly and consistently}
and merit ^{the points system to reward good constructive posting}

The best example is the member @Ratimov who has created incredible threads and
collected currently 6837 merit but is still on Hero membership because his activity
is only 997 since June 13th 2019.

First of all, start posting regularly, and if possible avoid altcoin section (or at least don't make majority of your posts there) as its a cesspool that is been avoided by merit sources. Write about stuff that you know something about, or about stuff that you are interested in. Asking the right question can bring a lot of merit. A lot of newbies don't know that so they plagiarize in order to appear more knowledgeable and get merit that way, while things are much simpler; show genuine interest in crypto and merit will come.


Approximately 3 years but speaking from personal experience, less you obsess about it, sooner it will come. I used to think about it a lot while progressing through ranks, but around the time I reached Hero I kinda stopped thinking about it completely so maybe that's why RNG gods (activity amount needed to reach Legendary is not fixed) were on my side as I ranked up relatively fast.

Those people who are you talking about are those merit sources which is they had merit allocation per month to distribute properly and make sure those who deserve to be ranked.  It's not helping, it's about how you deserve to be ranked based on your post history they will know if you are deserving to rank up.  If you're focused on bounty hunting, it will cause low chances to rank up.  So I tend to agree with the comment above of mine.

However, good luck with the OP it's tougher to rank up these days you need to be more active catching more merits will depend on your action on how you are useful in the forum.

But if you are referring to the green trust given to members here, it involves successful trades. Rank doesn't matter either. For as long as those you had successful trades with are either DT1 or DT2 and they left you with a positive feedback, it will reflect on your profile.

In terms of activity, you need to have at least 1,000 775. You can only gain 14 every couple of weeks provided you also make 14 posts within that period of time. In terms of merit, you need at least 1,000. You can do the math out of those numbers.

Legendary member is two years journey of regular posting to make the needed activity. How to get 1000 merits in two years is dependent on your post quality. Trust is given when you trade on the forum, members exchange trust positive or negative when a trade is successful or unsuccessful.

Trust has no basis when regard to times. But of course you needed a long time before you get recognize and be trusted by community. If youll get involve with some services that needed transactions, they could do one with you and gained such trust rating or positive one, but that will take time as a newbie, youll get hesitated by some since your account is a newbie. You need to prove first yourself.

Regarding post, it means quality post. Before you rank you need merits and that will only be get by your participation here and involving on good topics.

1. You don't need the trust of other people.
2. Nothing specific, really.
3. Some will be able to do it for a few months, while some will never achieve it.

But really, the Legendary rank is too over-appreciated. There's really nothing up here.

Well, I want to be very honest here, many people has dropped their advice on this, but I have these to say;
1. You are Jr. Member and before you become a legendary member you will need to first be a member, then full member, you then proceed to senior member, then to Hero Member and you will be stocked there for a very long time before getting to legendary member. I think it will be better to set your target in steps, when you achieve one you face two.

2.Most of your posts are in Altcoin and bounty applications, you may need to change your posting habit and boards to grow faster.

3. Some people has enough activities and waiting for merits, here some merit sources like The Pharmacist do help out. But your case, merit is lacking and activity is lacking too. So, your journey to legendary may not happen as fast as you wish.

4. You do not need to be a legendary member to be trusted in the community.

Is it really takes so long? If I made post 20 weekly , it takes 50 weeks. also  I just counted 1 merit per post . There's a possibility to get a number's of merit in one post if it's qualityful also there`s no garuntee that I can get merit in every post. So I just calculate it in averaged.

I belive it's possible to earn legendary member ship in 1 and half year if some one try hard to achive it . Althouth it's matter of quality not quantity. If we focus on our quality then it's possible .

One of the co-requisites for the Rank is Activity, which is not the same as the number of posts. Trimming all the little details relating to how Activity gets built-up, in general terms, you can get a Maximum of 14 Activity points every 2 weeks (see the details in this post (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2766177.0)).

In the example you propose, the 20 weekly posts would translate to 14 Activity posts every 2 weeks, so you’d really only have 350 Activity points after those weeks (50 weeks -> 25 Activity Periods; 25 periods * 14 Activity/period = 350 Activity points).

An overall merit per post ratio of 1 for a given account is not that easy: mine is 0,7515, so still far from that mark. Regardless, the Activity explanation above likely changes the perspective on the Merit/post ratio, since posts are not the same as Activity.

I absolutely agree with that, some of them got that rank in a fairly easy way, and they wouldn't reach it in the new system in 100 years. Particularly irritating are those who do not read anything but the title and the first post, and after years on the forum still do not know any basics.

A few posts above are all nicely explained, and then a Legendary member claims the following :

Just to reiterate on what @Lucius already correctly mentioned, the Activity required for Legendary is between 775 and 1030 (not 1.000). That is a pretty wide range, and in simple terms, represents somewhere between 112 and 148 weeks, which is quite a variable range, with near to 8,5 months between both marks. That is, of course the best case scenario.

The specific required Activity value varies per account, and is determined upon account creation, but unknown to all (except for the Admin) in accordance to this:

I want to answer your question because I thought it would be a little interesting to tell you some insights based on experience. I hope this helps you find some answers and motivates you to do something better in the future.

• There shouldn't be a fixed time frame and I think it will vary a lot between users. It all depends on what you do in this forum because reputation and trust depend on yourself and every user will get it in different timeframe.
• Quality posts, constructive and useful for other users who want to read them. For your progress, then quality posting is one of the factors to determine that you have the desire to have something of value in the forum. This will help you grow into a useful user for other users and you only need to hear advice that really helps you build your morale for the better.
• It will really depend on your progress in posting, understanding something right and doing activity on the forum. You have to get an activity number between 775 - 1030 as a condition, but you also have to get the first 1000 merit to make it happen. Your consistency in making valuable posts will greatly affect how much merit you get, so the activity and quality of your posts will determine how long it takes to rank up to Legendary.

For how long it takes to become legendary it depends on the quality of your posts and also your activeness in making posts because with good posts you will later get merit, collect merit with at least 1000 merits. everyone has a different time but to become our legendary really have to be patient and persistent, which will definitely take a long time to gain the trust of each member to become legendary. In fact, as time goes by, of course, we will be able to develop on our own and gradually our rank will rise. all of that takes a process, enjoy the current process and continue to increase our knowledge about the crypto world.

For some, it may be so, for others it is something that means a lot to them and you need to understand why people want to reach that rank. Whether it’s prestige or the fact that Legendary rank is paid much better in signature campaigns, there’s always some reason why every beginner wants to achieve that goal. Some would say that they just want to be in the company of legendary members, although for some that rank is just one word in a profile that doesn't really mean anything given their achievements.
