Title: Am I wrong
Post by: VRExpress on February 24, 2022, 09:44:40 AM
Are there real projects that don't raise money through ICO or other and still survive just like bitcoin? I think such projects should be the target of most people because those are the projects that struggle for real or am I wrong?

AFAIK Litecoin, Monero and Dogecoin doesn't run ICO, both of them still survive and still remain top 100 cryptocurrencies. It's true if a project doesn't run ICO we can determine the project created isn't really purpose to earn money, but nowadays no one is doesn't like money... of course the purpose to create is to earn money. To be honest, I don't think we need new altcoins anymore... in CMC there's 17000+ coins has been listed.

Yeah, there could be project that really didn't raise good money in the beginning but they remain in the crypto space for so long and survived.

And there are also cases of not just surviving, but investors grew up on them and then they started to gain a lot of attention because they are solid projects.

You are not wrong, therea a lot of projects that don't do ICOs to raise money, you can take a look at some of the coins already mentioned @Jawhead999. Although the aim of launching projects is to raise money, we can find some successful projects surviving in the crypto market without doing an ico.  Dogecoin for an example, the goal is only to make fun of (meme) bitcoin, who would have thought that in the end Doge was even more developed and received special attention from Elon Musk.

They are the best crypto projects, it shows that they are here to gain community backing and grow slowly, it's why I like doge coin, BTC, and the older crypto projects most of them don't raise funds they struggled on their own I believe that's why they are more reliable than new projects too.

Yes, in the crypto space, there are many such projects, and you are not mistaken, but the successful ones receive strong interest from the community. And they thrive when they receive additional growth funds in a variety of ways.

But in my opinion, there should be more reasons to look at a project, because at the moment, there are not many such projects appearing and following very complex approaches. For example, projects that are retroactive have one thing in common: they are all based on their time in the market and generating revenue on the platform they build. And the previous non-ICO projects have many successful projects, but will we look back and trust them? Only a few will approach this in such a way.

There are still very few projects today that don't raise fund and still proceed with their aims, there are even those that use fair launch with zero fund from investors like doge dash which is a meme coin but the CEO is a rich guy as I heard, I remember others like Apollo privacy coin and YOUC.

The first cryptocurrency projects were built either by enthusiasts or by a team funded by private investors or ordinary people. Now the situation is different, and you can easily find investors if your project and team make useful decisions.

There are and you can visit CMC directly. The project like litecoin, monero and some small cap projects didn't raise the funds through ico and they are still live like bitcoin but these projects have less and less demand from time to the time. it's caused by lack of funds have become their problem to develop the new product as their product didn't generate the regular revenue to be used by the company behind the project to expand its development progress.
Remember this has ever happened with litecoin last years.

You're wrong and people in the crypto didn't even think like that. People in crypto is seeking for huge money and this kind of project has no future. that's different with the project that raised a lot of money to develop its product.
You didn't understand the crypto people behavior. Only some that are still become loyal supporters for stand alone coin.
