Title: [Biggest Loser Raffle] 1oz .999 Silver Bitcoin Binary Round
Post by: OgNasty on February 28, 2022, 07:53:56 PM
The Biggest Loser Raffle...
The first "Biggest Loser Raffle (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5366545.0)" seemed to be enjoyed by all (except maybe the biggest loser) so I thought it might be a good time to do another one.

There is no fee to enter, but if you are selected as the biggest loser you are required to pay for the prize.  Due to shipping variances, this raffle will be restricted to continental US shipping addresses only.  If you would like to enter, please have a trading history with positive feedback and be ready to spend BTC and get nothing if you lose.  If you have left me negative feedback, trolled me to the point of having your PMs blocked, or distrust me in the trust network, please refrain from participating to avoid an embarrassing situation.  If you're unsure about participating, drop me a PM and say hi.  :)

2 blocks will be selected to determine the outcome.  The first block selecting the loser and the second block selecting the winner. The winner cannot also be the loser.  The winner will supply a US address and receive their prize once the loser has paid for it.  Payment will be made to: 168WXhArv7Fasqvi2xm5MQMfLhG18jifMe

The cost to enter is a promise to pay $44 in BTC upon completion of the raffle.  Please select an open character below to particpate.

Well, they say it is better to give than to receive, so maybe you were really the big winner.

I enjoy putting up these crazy weird little raffles.  Join up and help make this a fun experience for all so we want to continue doing them.

Thanks for the raffle

I was on the fence about including you since you seem to be a new user with a relatively short trading history.  I see that selassiesoildier vouched for you in your trust feedback though, so I'll take his word that you're a friend to the community and include you.  Good luck!

Thanks to all the participants so far!  I can't wait to see who the "Biggest Loser" will be this time.  :)

Sure, why not.  I’ll bite. I’ll take ‘c’ and I’ll also suggest doing one with 8 losers and 8 winners.

I’ll also suggest doing one with 8 losers and 8 winners.

That would be bigtime.  I sort of like the idea of doing a lot of separate raffles to keep the fun going as long as possible though.  I have thought about doing one where there's 1 loser and everybody else wins, but that might be a bit expensive for the loser so I'm not sure how many people would be willing to participate.  It would be fun though.

Another idea might be one where there's one winner and 15 losers.  That would make it possible to offer a much more expensive prize without any one person breaking the bank.  I sort of like that idea but it remains to be seen if there would be enough support.  I'll see if I can offer a few of these types of raffles and if people are having fun and want me to expand on the idea, I certainly will.  I love doing fun things like this and it seems like activity in this section of the forum is starting to heat up, so many some more fun crazy opportunities will come from me in the near future.  :)

1 winner and 15 losers is the same as every other raffle basically.

1 winner and 15 losers is the same as every other raffle basically.

The difference in this case would be the winner gets theirs for free and all the losers are the ones who pay for it. A bit different then one person paying. Mostly just more fun though.

We've still got 4 spots left for those who want to try their luck and avoid being the biggest loser.  There's only a 1/16th chance that you'll have to pay anything, so it's mostly about participating and having fun together.  Don't miss out on your potion of the fun.  :)

Those that are on the fence, I'm curious why you don't want to participate.  Is it because the prize is too cheap or expensive?  Is it because of the lack of international shipping?  Do you not like having fun?   :P

Feedback is always great.  I'd love to keep doing fun stuff like this more regularly and see about changing things up to find that perfect formula of fun and providing something useful to people.  If you think that's a good idea then grab a slot!  No limit if you want more than 1.  It can't cost you more than the $44 no matter how many spots you take.

Nobody wants to double down and try their luck?  You can't lose twice.  :)

Cool.  Let's use block# 726490 to select the loser and block# 726492 to select the winner.  I think that will be most fair.  That should wrap things up in a couple hours.

We'll have to wait a little bit longer to see who the biggest winner is.  Not too much longer though.  :)

Edited to correct my mistake.

Oh shit, you are right. I forgot I switched it from last time. I should probably read what I just wrote eh. Thanks for being understanding and catching me with my foot in my mouth, or maybe on my keyboard…

I stand corrected. It’s been too long since I’ve done auctions. I’ll have to do better.

You’re welcome. I love doing stuff like this. I dropped the ball in this one though and ended up with egg on my face. I’ll try to pay better attention in the future if I do more of these. It’s honestly embarrassing to make a mistake on your own raffle so thank you to everyone for letting me slide on this. Especially GreatDane who could’ve demanded a coin for my mistake (and would’ve gotten it). Big thanks. Worthy of my trust.
