If he can manage to rent powerful CPU-s is it possible but as far as I know Amazon Web Services has stopped such service as if it finds any one mining on its cloud it terminates the account. So it is possible but not for long and most probably as time passes maybe AWS can even have an option to sue you for misuse of their compute devices that they rent to you.

Whatever this person is doing I don't think it's legit, maybe he have access to aws accounts illegally because renting cloud services is pretty costly and not profitable for mining if it's profitable many will be using cloud base rigs.

Basically if you are actually paying for the AWD, as in you got a credit card on file then you can mine or do whatever you want. However keep in mind those AWD are expensive and you are going to pay more for the rental than make actual income.

If you got some free credits and you try and mine like that , then you might get kicked off the platform I heard. These days there is no coin out there which is profitable enough where by renting some CPUs you will net a profit.

Someone is in for a rude surprise. If Amazon is letting him mine them someone is getting the bill for it
and it will be more than he earned from mining.
