Title: 5600XT mining
Post by: SafuBTC on March 07, 2022, 03:15:30 PM
Is buying 5600XT AMD with three fans for 950$ good buy? Because as per my research this card can only do 40MH on ETH I don't see reason why people are buying for this price or I got it all wrong?

I don't know if it is a good or bad buy but surely for that price or just a bit more than that you can get the Rx 5700 Xt which does 55.4 Mhsh with just 115 watt as power consumption.I suggest you don't buy this at 950 USD as it is a bit overpriced for a 40 Mhsh performance, you can get the 2060 Super which does 42 Mhsh and surely you will find it cheaper than 950 USD.There are a lot of options right now, just try to find what fits best to you.I had a maximum of 550 EUR to spend and I bought for 520 EUR the Rtx 2060 12 GB which does 37 Mhsh,in the end it depends only on you.

I own a 5600xt with 3 fans.  I bought it in February last year for $380.  Its a good card.  For $950 though, its not a good buy.  It maybe makes $2 a day before electricity  ;D  Only an idiot would pay that much for the card

Nooo! You are literally throwing away dollars that card can only use 40MH per second, now that graphic cards are reducing values it doesn't make sense, a rx580 8gb in China now costs 370$ and two of that is 60MH at 740$.

38-42MH depending on memory and overclocking mode. I prefer 38MH with very low power consumption on Samsung memory. But $950 is a very bad price, because in the current situation, you will pay back the investment for more than 2 years, which indicates high risks.
