Title: Which two coins should I add to my portfolio?
Post by: Loco1887 on March 12, 2022, 09:00:55 PM
Hey guys,

after selling all my coins two days ago (including scam like Star Atlas and coins like LUNA that gave me some decent profit) Im planning to restart from 1st April.

I want to have 20% ETH and 80% spread on 10 altcoins (each 8%) with a strong focus on Metaverse-Tokens:

1. 20% Ethereum
2. 8% Solana (SOL)
3. 8% Avalance (AVAX)
4. 8% Shiba INU (SHIB)
5. 8% Polygon (MATIC)
6. 8% Decentraland (MANA)
7. 8% The Sandbox (SAND)
8. 8% Axie Infinity (AXS)
9. 8% Enjin Coin (ENJ)

So basically I need your advice which two coins will fit best to complete my portfolio. You should also consider that I will be able to stake PoS coins on Kraken:

- Polkadot (12% on staking)
- Terra (3-6% on staking)
- Cardano (4-6% on staking)
- Cosmos (12% on staking)
- TRON (6-9% on staking)
- Tezos (5% on staking)

Thanks in advance for your input!

If those are the choices, I will choose tezos and cosmos.

Tezos % on its staking may not that be high but I have noticed the slow growth of this coin. Slow but stable.

As for cosmos, the development of it reflects to the chart and that can be said of the same growth it has.

Polkadot has a good staking reward but you can consider this caused by its sustainability and in another way you can also replace this with ATOM which has low marketcap. This is potentially give you a huge amounts of capital gain once the marketcap will be worth the same like tera or polkadot.

I personally will try to pick tera combined with cosmos but by the way if you are not feeling satisfied with the APY that offered by tera and then you can also try to stake this through its defi. it gives good APY as well. Tera is growth so fast just like a rocket. You can consider tera and cosmos to be picked as your investment.

On my end, maybe DOT and ADA to include. But it is for the OP to follow the developments of the projects that he will finally choose. Because everyone can basically suggest a coin to him, but the hard work will be on him. Because no one can do the follow-up for him but himself only. Keeping up with the progress of the coins you are holding may save your funds from losing. So if you feel the project is going nowhere, better sell it off while you are still positive and just buy another worthwhile coin.

Ada and Link have always been projects that are predicted to launch very well, but often experience problems during the advertising period, they are like projects waiting for peak success, they still survive from time to time with many new projects emerging.

Tezos is not so impressive. Terra has become a new hype in the crypto market. This is going to the moon in a short time. How impressive the performance of terra. DOT is very stable at this moment following bitcoin. Tezos is not getting hyped again. TRON may become the worst pick from the list. ADA seems good but too many promises that didn't become real.
I think that the sense choice must be COSMOS. And why?
Low marketcap
Big staking reward
Good performance on its development progress

Once this get the hype and this will become the next major crypto.

So adding Cosmos and Luna is a wise choice even though Luna has been on a massive run lately?

I think Cardano and Tron are more suitable to complete your portfolio, because prices are still very low, and you can stake while waiting for the coin price to increase. That is, we can benefit from price changes and increase the number of coins from staking.

Tezos, Cardano, DOT will probably be very good, their development is quite good for now especially for dot and Cardano.
as for Tezos it's a little slower but I think the prospects are pretty good in my opinion. for the short term Tezos is fine while for the dot and cardano maybe a little longer term will be good for them

All of them seem to have the same great potential, but if viewed from a low staking presentation it is indeed shown for the long term.
Actually I'm very happy with Polkadot and Tron, because Polkadot is quite popular and so loved by the community is very suitable for taking medium-term profits.
Whereas tron is used for long term investing, so far tron is of great quality it's just that the lack of community support makes this coin a slow mover, but I'm sure it will explode soon.

Cardano yeah, but Tron? I don't think so, it has lost it's luster already, even in the bullish cycle last year, Tron was left behind why the rest of the top coins are doing good and reaching their all time high.

I'll probably go with DOT, still has some leg room to do good and the devs behind are very active, indication that it has a bright future.

Polkadot is highly inflationary, isnt it? Do you like it more than Luna in my portfolio? 12% staking reward is attractive tho

All of the coins looks pretty brightest in the future, So i think it’s very difficult to pick only two coins to all of them. I think you should add BNB in your portfolio because i hope which is more profitable in the long term investment than ETH. DOT is another promising coin you can go with undoubtedly. I think SOL can be better option instead of LUNA and ADA.

I prefer cosmo, and if I may, my suggestion is that Juno can also be invested, but that's my choice not to be applied to you, good luck mate because there are many inputs here and in principle the choice is in the hands of each

I will go with Terra Luna and Cosmos but honestly I'm the type of investor that don't want to leave any good altcoins behind, solana, Cardano, Polkadot, Matic and avalanche can't be left behind, I'm better off splitting 100$ each on these projects for my mind to be at rest.

Which setup will perform better during next 2-3 years?

1)
20% Ethereum (ETH) - 4-7% staking
10% Solana (SOL) - 6% staking
10% Avalanche (AVAX)
10% Shiba Inu (SHIB)
10% Polygon (MATIC)
10% Cosmos (ATOM) - 12% staking
10% Decentraland (MANA)
10% The Sandbox (SAND)

vs

2)
20% Ethereum (ETH) - 4-7% staking
8% Terra (LUNA) - 3-6% staking
8% Solana (SOL) - 6% staking
8% Avalanche (AVAX)

many choose Polkadot, I also choose polkadot to be recommended, but don't let you not choose Tezoz too,
if you don't buy Tezoz to have on your portfolio list then that is a big mistake!, remember Tezoz has partnered with a successful football club,
yeah manchester united!, so buy the XTZ for the long term, I'm sure the XTZ will cost more than $10.

Partnership on sports club doesn’t mean immediate success for the project especially Tezos is a blockchain project which is not directly involved in sports. There’s also a lot of crypto project partnership happened in different sports team so this kind of news is really not a big deal anymore in crypto. I’m a long time follower of Tezos but somfar they still far behind to there competitor blockchain project since they are too centralized.

Near protocol and Avalanche deserves to be in that list to be honest compared to ADA, XRP and other old blockchain project that has a slow progress.

Title: Re: Which two coins should I add to my portfolio?

cardano although rather lower in APY but it has really good chance of increasing its value. and DOT could also be a great investment considering their staking rate that are quite high but also have the chance of getting bullrun in the future meanwhile
the rest aren’t really that interesting based from the fact that many of them are already passing their momentum but thats just my 2 cents.
I guess the best option is ADA and DOT but its all definitely depends in your decision since the investment is truly yours for deciding.

4. 8% Shiba INU (SHIB)
Are you sure with this?
Well, this may be risky and you need to wait for something to pump for this coin. But no problem if you have ready with the risks.

- Polkadot (12% on staking)
- Cosmos (12% on staking)
These two coins are promising, moreover, for long-term holding, they may be worth enough and can at least reach their ATH or close to it again.
Both don't only have high staking profits but they also have high trading volume and also worthy fundamentals. You can do more research on the two if you want to hold them, getting the exact research including the pros and cons of the two.

ADA is a good choice right now as they are preparing for some new upgrades for their project, it's been a long time coming also if terra Luna loses value by march ending it's always a good buy, I'd go with this two projects.

Luna is now at top 7 in Coingecko and its performance over the past few months is remarkably great compared to other alts out there in top 50, Luna is one of the best performing crypto asset and I believe this will not stop here, wait for pullback and set a buy order, looks good to hold this year.

I think you can include $ron, $ftm $algo and $luna. For me these are good projects that could be a game changer. Yes some of these projects were still low but of course you cant ignore the quality of these L1 that fould be literally be level of solana, eth and bnb.

Running out of funds on doing some DCA anyway will watch some more dip anf accumulate when given chance.

By looking at what Luna has achieved so far, of course it can't be separated from the performance of her team,
yes it looks like in the future Luna will continue to grow and we'll just wait,
the most important thing for now is to follow the latest developments and news from Luna

It will require some more time for the results to be clear but polling here doesn't really give you the most fair results. The reality is that there are too many people who end up saying theirs is the best and there could be some attacks from a community that could vote for one thing to be overly favoured here.

This is why I do not think that we should be really doing something as cool as this, we should be doing something that is a bit more more well researched. Check all of them and see how they are developing and how they are doing marketing and you would get a better response yourself without asking anyone about anything since that could be biased.

looks like $ftm have problem with its price now since Andrey left the team and all Dapps will stop till April. personally only Luna that worth rigth now to be my assets in bag , its have strong fundamental and solid community which is always support project developtment.

maybe you should observe coins from cosmos ecosystem, i see its price solid although market in bearish trend. alot stakedrop distributed from new project and its be one of main benefit from cosmos ecosystem.

Polkadot crossed in my mind, but I can't leave Tezos as the best candidate to beat your list above. Actually I still keep Cardano because I don't think he has been optimal for this year, but I think this year is a good base for Tezos to be able to rise significantly, I mean try to see the data on his fantastic moves, she's amazing.

Enjinstarter is gradually becoming the launchpad for all Metaverse and blockchain gaming projects and helped raise funds for projects like Kryxivia, Age of Tanks, OneRare, The Killbox, Playermon, Scotty Beam, PixelVerse, Gaia Everworld and so on. And this is just the beginning, more to come. It is more than just the launchpad.

What's the issues are you facing? Though i haven’t an account on the Kraken exchange because i never needed it so i didn’t created account here. I would like to recommend you will try to buy on Binance exchange, i hope you will able to buy so much easily. It’s a good decision in this time, DOT is the hidden gem especially for the long term.

No bnb? I am really surprised.

I mean I know you said metaverse, but those will lose hype eventually and will go down, whereas something like BNB would be a lot better.

If you insist on betting at Meta, I can't suggest Floki enough. They have a partnerships with great clubs and they have a ton of money and great marketing and they are so low right now. With their game out, and metaverse getting bigger, they would be able to get all the hype in the world.

I know it doesn't look great right now, but I believe that they could 5x easily and that would be just the start for them, they could grow so much after that as well which I believe would mean you should have it on your list.

I think you already have a nice portfolio, now you only need to keep it with a strong hand and apply DCA! In years from now, you will be more than happy with your choice now, so the only thing you need to take care of is to get stronger in each position!
I voted for Cosmos, I have some of it and I plan to buy more! I have TRX, I can say it's good for farming on some places, I think it's a good and undervalued, if they get a bit serious in the future we can see it exploding, simply too many things is happening to them and that will affect the price one day!

Most people say that they prefer MATIC over SOL.

20% Ethereum (ETH) - 4-7% staking
8% Terra (LUNA) - 3-6% staking
8% Solana (SOL) - 6% staking
8% Avalanche (AVAX)
8% Polkadot (DOT) - 12% staking
8% Shiba Inu (SHIB)
8% Polygon (MATIC)
8% Cosmos (ATOM) - 12% staking
8% Decentraland (MANA)
8% The Sandbox (SAND)
8% Axie Infinity (AXS)

Is there another coin of my portfolio that can be dropped? Or should i keep all of them?
It's hard for me to keep SOL when 9 out of 10 people say MATIC will have the better future ...

Why is DAI on that list? you can't make any profit off a stable coin mate it's good for storing value but not for making extra profits, almost all other coins are promising projects that are good for the long term, I will pick Luna and Polkadot.

But not all coins are successful and profitable. The most important is to evaluate the potential of the coin.
Now DeFi sector is popular and will be in demand tools that give the easiest access to DeFi like this https://twitter.com/EarnFinance2/status/1500840433546510339

DeFi projects now very popular and in demand. They offer different financial services that unavailable to many people.
But a lot depends on liquidity of Defis and their pools of liquidity.
In all cases users have a big choice of different DeFi projects to work with.

It is very difficult to say which 2 coins is better to choose for investment because every day appear new coins and it is necessary to constantly monitor the market to find the best projects an invest in them.

I voted for Terra so that's not one of the choices, imo.
Is Axie Infinity that still good for an investment. I checked the movement before and I have given up on it. Sure, there are still a lot of players but the value of it went down at a substantial rate so I have already sold it and moved on.
I don't know about others if they think there's still a good future for it, but for me I am done with it.

a good investment choice of the ten altcoins you have chosen. but if you are asking for advice then I advise you to buy or invest in TeraLuna and Cardano (Ada) because I think these two altcoins have enormous potential in the future. and for the staking you do, terraluna and Cardano do provide a small APY but I'm sure Teraluna can give you bigger profits in the future

You've mentioned staking.

Why not just go with a stable coin and get to maximize the percentage profit of it upon staking it to platforms that have a bigger percentage of it. Well, the risk is that you have to entrust it to them and you don't the private key anymore.

If there's a platform that gives better and higher percentage rate for the APY and allows you to hold the private keys, then that's much better but you have to do the research oni t.

Hey guys,

after selling all my coins two days ago (including scam like Star Atlas and coins like LUNA that gave me some decent profit) Im planning to restart from 1st April.

I want to have 20% ETH and 80% spread on 10 altcoins (each 8%) with a strong focus on Metaverse-Tokens:

1. 20% Ethereum
2. 8% Solana (SOL)
3. 8% Avalance (AVAX)
4. 8% Shiba INU (SHIB)
5. 8% Polygon (MATIC)
6. 8% Decentraland (MANA)
7. 8% The Sandbox (SAND)
8. 8% Axie Infinity (AXS)
9. 8% Enjin Coin (ENJ)

So basically I need your advice which two coins will fit best to complete my portfolio. You should also consider that I will be able to stake PoS coins on Kraken:

- Polkadot (12% on staking)
- Terra (3-6% on staking)
- Cardano (4-6% on staking)
- Cosmos (12% on staking)
- TRON (6-9% on staking)
- Tezos (5% on staking)

Thanks in advance for your input!

I think that you should concentrate on DeFi/L1 projects instead of P2E/metaverse.

Also, what is SHIB doing in your portfolio? If you are sane, you will understand that SHIB has no place in a long term buy-and-hold portfolio. 8% is not enough to make a difference anyway.

Limit P2E/gaming/metaverse to 10% total - so I would use the extra percentage to cheap L1s like FTM.

But the most important thing is to check everything not to lose money.

ADA (https://capital.com/cardano-ada-price-prediction)
Polkadot (https://crowdwisdom.live/us-stocks/polkadot-price-prediction/)

I suggest these coins for you. Not only because they are old existing coins but they have importance and use a case in the market in which we can really think that these coins stay long-term.

Well, I expect more demand from them in the future. They really have good market predictions and if we also base on their current performance, they could be proven that these projects really have fortune. Taking risks with them is worthy and feels no regrest.

I can see from the progress of their project that they are very good and are also supported by the increasing price of coins.
so I think the 2 coins can be used for long-term hold and stored for staking.

I won't suggest you any two coins to add but I do have soke advice for you if ever you wanted to add another two coins which is a trending coin. If ever you decided to do it then this is what I will say, don't keep the two coins in your portfolio for long term as I am sure you know that some of the trending coins didn't stay for too long but it did leave an impression to crypto enthusiast like shiba Inu which many didn't think that it will become a trending coin right after vitalik buterin did some donation using shiba inu. However, in my opinion is that polkadot and chainlink might bring you profit or not. Do more research about it.

I think KADENA can enter the list of altcoins you will choose instead of choosing memecoins that have a large supply.
But it's your choice, you can see a lot of new altcoins with market capitalization under $10 million USD and imagine if the project is successful, maybe you will get a profit of more than 80% of the capital you have (not financial advice)

Putting myself into your position, I'd choose Polkadot and ChainLink.
I'm not just seeing their profit potentials but also their market roles which we could think that these projects will grow and exist long-term.

https://www.coinbase.com/price/polkadot
https://coincodex.com/crypto/chainlink/price-prediction/

Though it is shown that their prices went down, however, that is also because of the market situation. This is not just our basis coz I believe that these coins will recover as well when Bitcoin rallies back high.

You should consider adding PSTAKE (pstake.finance) to your portfolio. Looking at their staking protocol that supports liquid staking for ATOM and XPRT, it has introduced the generation of additional yield on top of staking rewards.  One of the main focuses/missions of pstake.finance is to improve on liquid staking via their staking protocol which allows stakers to earn additional yield compared to the traditional liquid staking models/protocols. Adding PSTAKE to your portfolio will be a good advantage. (https://pstake.finance/)

Here is how I do my research, I set out my targeted coins, do a little ground base browsing on it get little tools, ask questions and also check rating, although I haven't yet made a choice on an Altcoin to buy now, with what I have gathered so far from my research I think I would not do badly when ever I decided to join.

Actually as it is like this, almost everyone here will give his/her opinion based on what they feel will be the best for them which might actually not be the best option or the right choice you have. I believe by now all these replies come with different options and suggestions so it's left for you to take an average and decide, but to me I will prefer Cardano (ADA)

I think there are good altcoins to invest in, first Tron and Cosmos (Atom). because I believe both have good potential in the future. and the staking results obtained from both are also very large between 6% to 12%. and this will give you a bigger profit from it. but all the choices are yours, but if I were you I would choose TRON and ATOM.
