I missed the release of the Alephium coin which was released some time ago and since then I've been curious about how to somehow get notified if a new PoW coin is out, how do you go about this?

I'll post here because I already had the same question on my mind, not only for mineable coins, but in general, about new projects, and unfortunately there's no easy way to do this

As sxemini said, the Announcements (Altcoins) sub forum is excelent source to search for new projects (mineable or not), but you shouldn't use as the only source

You can also use twitter and add official accounts of already known projects and persons, and you'll be able to see good suggestions.

You see, there's no easy path to do this, and if you find a good project, it's hard to decide if it's worth to mine or not, and if you heard about a new coin, hundreds of miners will heard too and it's probably late

This coin is missed by many miners because I have no desire to mine a coin that cannot be sold. Every month 50-100 coins can appear, and 99% of them will be scam. You better think about how you will analyze it.

I'm confused, are you talking about before because Alephium is listed on gate .io exchange, it has a high price of 1.2$ before dropping down to 22cent, those who mined from day one are the winner because even if the project is going to reach ATH again it's not going to be anytime soon.

I was also wondering the same, where to check for new minable coins other than this forum.

I use mining pools before but they are all down, the fact is coins that have no ANN page on this forum are mostly going to rug pull do not give attention to them it's better to use this forum to find new coins.

Dogecoin was also mined and traded on exchanges for $0.027, and then its price increased by more than 2XX times. The new ones have a lot of problems in mining, because there are no good pools and information on settings. And as soon as the coin becomes known, the profit in mining falls rapidly.

Throughout 2016 and 2017 before the last 2017 bull market started dogecoin was trading at 0.0002$ this was how I was able to hold 2 million dogecoin at the time, miners make millions every day and even faucets are paying a high amount of dogecoin per day. .. This is a lesson learnt for holders

Back in 2014-2015 everyday you got maybe 2-3 new coins released, all POW mostly under the Scrypt algo and usually they got listed on the top exchanges by volume within a week.

People would set alerts in the ANN section and as soon as a GitHub link was posted they would start to insta mine it. And it actually paid off when it got listed on the exchange. Way better than mining Litecoin directly.

These days, you can forget that. Most are erc20 token on the Ethereum network and you can’t mine that.

I think a good site to see the best altcoins, the most profitable to mine, is https://miningpoolstats.stream/ or you can follow the discussions here on the forum

It's a waste of time to mine coins that aren't listed on any exchanges yet many new PoW coins died easily without seeing the light of any exchange so be careful when picking new PoW coins to mine not all of them will be successful.

The site that I have found helpful so far is (https://miningpoolstats.stream/newcoins) though the coins are not listed daily, but it's worth it. The forum is also a good place to catch some of those coins if you keep an eye on the Altcoin Announcements board or crypto mining subreddits
