Title: Looking for a block number
Post by: Little Mouse on April 05, 2022, 04:57:26 AM
Around 2020, there was a block mined with a message something like, "Last time to buy below $10000". I can't remember the block, nor the exact message but in one of my article, I need the block number to add. How can I find the block number? There was also a thread regarding this in the forum but I didn’t find it after trying to find a lot of times. Can someone help me please?

Epstein didn't kill himself. End the FED. Last time below 10k
^ Is that it?

I used blockchair.com and typed the word 'below' in the search box.

Interestingly, there was another message about below $500
EW BTC will never go below $500 ever again. Isn't it beautiful? minajati

Wow! I never knew that you can use Blockchair to search transactions for embedded data. I see now that it says right there in the search box "... and embedded data..." but never saw it really :) Thanks for that info.

I am also the first one to find out that you can search on blockchair using a sentence or a word. This is really a great tool to use.

Found the block by entering the sentence "Last time to buy" on the search - https://blockchair.com/bitcoin-cash/transaction/9419aedede86f88216c197f1ce7ef9f7e10e0ce50dc6827dde2e1712f64b3433

This is definitely an interesting option, and it seems that there are a lot of such messages that have been added to the blocks, and certainly the most famous is the one from the first genesis block that Satoshi himself mined. The same message is found in some other blocks, as some seem to have been unable to resist copying Satoshi.

No problem. I cannot remember when I first noticed that feature but I haven't really tried until LM's post.

I am not certain if the OP found out what he's looking for but the non-response suggests he already did.
