Title: Stop Loss - Limit Orders
Post by: david678345 on April 07, 2022, 02:51:48 PM
Is there any exchange that allows to set a stop loss and a limit order with a minimum sale price at the same time?

For example if bitcoin is at 43000 I could put a stop loss at 42800 and a limit order that sells me the bitcoin when it reaches for example at least 43400?

I think with coinbase pro it is only possible to place one order?

Can you not just place a limit in coinbase pro (I didn't know they had stops though so I don't know how that works).

Binance have stop limit orders though to do as you've described - but you'd have ot kyc to use them.

most of crypto exchanges have stop limit order , so in any level price you want to stop order you could do this. without this feature will make traders have to controll price every time . limit order will make our trade easier ,just to set in price level we want to take profit or stop loss everything will done and we could do another activity.

you can try it on binance. because indeed stop loss and limit orders are very necessary. for our convenience in trading. so we don't have to always worry about prices by constantly checking the market every time.
as for indodax for the installation of stop loss and limit orders it can only be applied to some coins such as BTC, ETH and XRP.
maybe it's still on other exchanges.

nope, in any exchanges you can use such feature because its very common mate especially when it comes trading futures or with high leverage.

But what i've noticed in binance the spot trading is different compared to futures trading because in spot there's a stop limit order feature but the stop should be bigger than limit order. actually it can be seen in futures but seems not common since you can easily add a stop losses and target profits on your open orders afterward.

Yes, In Binance they have it, it's called OCO (One-Cancels-the-Other) order type. In this type of order, there is a limit order and a stop limit order. In your case, you will set a sell limit order at 43400 and a stop limit order (stop loss) at 42800 with a trigger price which you think is desirable.

You can find more information in this link, this is the official tutorial coming from Binance and there is also a video tutorial https://academy.binance.com/en/articles/what-is-an-oco-order I am unsure about other exchange site. I think Binance is really one of the best trading site you can use.

I think almost in every top exchange we can find this feature .Its true without this feature we could not set our tricks to enter and exit without having any losses .However i don't use too much exchange for it i always use Binance and i have used the system he mentioned .So nothing to worry about to use it on Binance .I am not sure about Coinbase cause i don't use this exchange .However you may try it on Binance and i have strong believe that it works fine on there and also its a top and the best secured exchange on crypto platform .

Most of the gambling site have futures trading or leverage trading and most of the leverage trading have this trading option in where you can sell when it first hit the target price or sell if it first reach the selling price but it is not recommended to use leverage or future if you are new in trading but I just want to tell that this feature is available in every future trading.

Those orders you are asking for are part of the whole body of trade and I believe every serious exchange should have them. I know of binance that they have that. In binance you have to do your KYC before most of the hidden features will be open for you, maybe you have tried on it and didn't see those features.

This is why at the beginning of your trading career many books and traders recommend newbies to stick with one platform for some time, what you are describing should be available at any exchange in any market, as it is one of the most basic functions that traders need to do their job.

If you are not finding this option in the exchange of your preference then you need to take a better look at the interface and look at each element until you find it, if you still have no luck then looking at a few YouTube videos or contacting the customer support could be needed so they tell you how to access those functions.

Yes, In Binance they have it, it's called OCO (One-Cancels-the-Other) order type.

And several Binance Cloud powered exchanges have OCO orders such as Lordtoken, Tokocrypto and Mandala*. Also on Kucoin, you can place unlimited orders as long as you use stop-limit orders.

* No need for KYC within certain withdrawal limits

Binance has stopped losing features and even bike exchange offers that service also, trading can be time-consuming lately but with that feature in place, a trader can easily look away from the market once they have set the limit on orders. I use the features mainly on binance and I most say it is helpful.

Yes available inany exchanges. Binance is very good for this purpose. You can use any stop limit and there you have also option for stop limit and sell limit in same time. Kucoin is another best exchange and you don't need Kyc for this. You can deposit, buy , sell and withdraw without kyc and set limit order at any price.
