The last faucet sites I visited when bitcoin was at $7000 in 2020 were paying 20 sat (0.0000002 BTC) after solving captcha every one hour, it was absolutely waste of time. I visited over three faucet sites at that time and all were just waste if time.
Later after 2020 bitcoin halving, the price of bitcoin increased, when bitcoin reached all-time-high, I checked some of the faucet sites again to know the amount of coins that they are paying to people solving captcha to receive bitcoin, the amount of coin that can be received has decreased in five folds, they are now paying around 4 to 7 sat (0.00000004 to 0.00000007 BTC) every hour after solving captcha. Is that profitable? No. What I have know about faucet sites, the amount paying on one site is also very similar or the same of the amount paying on another faucet site, no need of wasting time on what is not. Faucets are no more profitable. Well as a beginner faucet is an important way of a start, but you need to understand how demanding it could be in term of taking your time and data as well, most are bunch of survey trolling questions and the rate at which you get committed to faucet does not commiserate to what it offers at the end, also be reminded some will end up as scam and won't pay you after the whole helter and sceltar, i only see it as an advantage to beginners with the zeal to learn as a starting point.
