Title: Warning fee estimation is currently not possible / Post by: gabrio81 on May 02, 2022, 08:43:59 PM hi there,
Just turned on my Core 0.23 (been about 30 mins) and i get Fee Estimation failed . fallback fee is disabled. Wait a few blocks or enable -fallbackfee Question: is mempool overloaded or there's something else going on? I've used it fine just 1 month ago and sent a transaction without that error almost right away after first sync. Any tips? Just wait 1 hour and try again? thanks Title: Re: Warning fee estimation is currently not possible / Post by: un_rank on May 02, 2022, 09:41:17 PM You mean Core 23.0? That's the latest release of Bitcoin core.
I do not think the issue is related to the mempool, if it was congested, fees should simply go up as more transactions are coming through I searched around and found this post which has a similar issue as yours with a reply to help solve it. I hope it helps. It will let you set a custom transaction fee at BTC/kvB; e.g.: 0.00001000 for 1sat/vB.
