Title: Yiimp Mindiff and Maxdiff - Why?
Post by: IdMineThat on May 07, 2022, 02:38:10 AM
Hi,

I've been screwing around with a yiimp mining pool and was curious if anybody knew why the default yiimp settings for Minimum difficulty and Maximum difficulty were chosen? Is there any significance to these numbers?

#define YAAMP_MINDIFF            0x0000000080000000
#define YAAMP_MAXDIFF            0x4000000000000000

0x0000000080000000 = 2,147,483,648 = 231

0x4000000000000000 = 4,611,686,018,427,387,904 = 262
