Hello Everybody!

I am facing a problem with dash electrum wallet. I was holding some dash about a year ago in my dash electrum wallet. Recently I can know that dash electrum is no longer connected. what should I do now? I have the recover phrase. I tried to recover wallet by using dash mobile wallet. But this says ''bad recovery phrase''. What can I do now? Please help someone if you know how I can recover my wallet.

If dash Electrum wallet is the same as Electrum, do this:

• Go to "Addresses" tab (View->Show Addresses) and check which address(es) contains balance from your last sync.
  If you think that the coins have moved, check each address with a blockexplorer.
• After finding which addresses have coins, get their private keys by right-clicking on an address and select "Private key".
• Copy the key and use it to import your funds to another wallet (of course, select an import method that accepts private keys).

I can not open the Dash electrum. But I have the 12 words seed.

But can you install it?
If so, just reinstall Dash Electrum and restore your 12-word seed there, then do the steps I've given.
Just go with the blockexplorer method since you cannot sync it to see which addresses have coins.

Nah, I can not re install it. Seems the wallet name is changed to Dash Electrum to Electrum Testnet  :'( :'( and now I can not find the Dash electrum version for windows.

@sujonali1819, try to find a compatible version of the wallet that would support the seed you have - the official site lists several desktop/mobile wallets available.

That's if you can trust archive.org that the data they stored is accurate.

I have downloaded the dash android and ios app. after putting the phrase when I click on next it's say ''bad recovery phrase''. but I am pretty sure my seed is correct.

seems I can not find the file at the end.

You can try Ian Coleman's mnemonic site (offline running from Tails) to recover your private keys.

How? Can you please give the full instruction ?

Imho this may not work at all, since (at least in the case of Bitcoin) the Electrum seed is not matching the standard BIP39 seed; I'd guess that this could be the the reason for "bad recovery phrase" error.
However, for IanColeman's (offline, safe copy, remember?), in theory you should:

1. Enter the 12 words in the mnemonic box
2. Select DASH in the coin combo
3. Maybe play with the tab from under Derivation Path (you may have to get to one or another set of addresses)
4. Import the private keys to an actual wallet.

I think that a better approach would be to find an Electrum that actually starts and you can recover your wallet from seed (I think that it doesn't matter it cannot connect to any server), see the Addresses tab and get for the top addresses (how many? depends on how much you've used the wallet) the private keys, import those into another wallet.

Again, your Electrum seed may not work in another software.

@nc50lc archive has no file.

I quickly tried, but got errors. A quick search on what's going on with the Dash wallet showed shocking pictures of kids covered in blood. It looks like the Dash team is from Ukraine and decided to take the wallet offline.

What I've read on Reddit was that there are problems related to money, those images related to war, Electrum-Dash asking for money for war...

Edit: hopping between links on the internet archive I've managed to download an older Electrum-Dash: 3.0.6.3 4.0.4.1. Maybe it can help getting the private keys (I've updated the link too) :

I've installed NeuroticFish' .exe in wine: it allows to create a new seed and I can export individual private keys (it crashes when I try to export all). So this works, on Linux.

Yes, named Electrum Testnet software is still installed.  But I know how actually this was happened. As I remember maybe few months 3-4 back I checked it  worked smooth.
To be honest I just check the address in blockchain don't want to touch the wallet due to long term holding.

But Yes it’s still in installed.

Now I can see the Testnet version is actually for Bitcoin. I am going to be made lol. What's are happening with me :)

Is there no support to the wallet?

I tested this in wine, through VPN: it works. Got a wallet, and connects. Export all makes it crash, but individual private keys can be expected.

I don't trust this software and wouldn't recommend installing it on a normal system.

Seems like they've deleted the files from their archive as well, every timestamp has "no file" after starting the download.

Of course, select the correct coin, then use BIP32 derivation path m/0 for receiving addresses and m/1 for 'change addresses'.

Finally I have recovered my fund and trunsfer it to other wallet. Special thanks to nc50lc, LoyceV and NeuroticFish for helping to find the possible ways of recovering fund.

I have downloaded the wallet in a laptop which I don't use for serious stuffs. I made a little deposit to that wallet. And keep them some hours to check what happen next. And after 5-6 hours I transfer the little dash to other wallet to check it’s working. Yes it was worked. Later by taking risk I input my seed offline. Then exports all private keys. It also worked without any issue. Then by taking risk connect to internet and quickly transfer my dash to other wallet. Thanks GOD it’s transferred successfully.

Some things make me sad that I did not get helps from Dash telegram group, exect they told me to input seed phrase to other wallet. I post it on dash reddit channel but unfortunately the post was deleted.

But the scenario is totally different here. After creating this topic people are coming to help one by one in very short periods. Even I call LoyceV to come in personal message yeah he passed a good time to explains everyhting to me and the possible ways of recover the wallet. I am really very happy. Thank you all man.

I think that @nc50lc deserves a mention too, since he was the one with the idea of looking on the internet archive for the binary.

I am happy it has ended well.
And yeah, I guess that there aren't many who know that Electrum seed works only in Electrum. And most of those few are active (only?) here.
So don't be too harsh with the rest of the world. It has ended well, and that's what matters. (And yep, hats off to Loyce for having the time and patience for all the steps).

What wallet did you use?. I have the same problem. I need to take contol of and address from Electrum Dash. I already have the private keys of the address, but looking for a good Dash wallet to recover control and make a small transaction.

I have used an old version of dash electrum from above suggested archive links. Luckily it was connected on the Internet and I could recover my money.

You can still use the archived version of Electrum Dash (link (https://web.archive.org/web/20201214004611/https://github.com/akhavr/electrum-dash/releases)),
import the private keys(s) to a new wallet using the option "Import Dash Addresses or Private Keys" instead of 'standard wallet'.

There are still online servers to connect to but I can't guarantee their legitimacy so if you ever got an error message when attempting to send funds, just do not follow it.
If ever, "export" the signed raw transaction instead and broadcast it using a push/broadcast service like (blockchair.com/broadcast?chain=dash (https://blockchair.com/broadcast?chain=dash))
