Title: Help me build my miner
Post by: Slitters riot on May 28, 2022, 06:53:04 AM
Hello everyone, is it possible to combine two different graphic cards in one motherboard for crypto mining? Will it work? I have RTX 2060 and a RX 6700.

You can mix different brands and models, no problem

You'll have to install both drivers (AMD and Nvidia), and you can even mine with only one miner like Gminer who mines with both cards at same time
Here in my main PC I'm using RTX 3080 and RX 6700 with Windows 10

To overclock cards I suggest you to use MSI Afterburner for Nvidia and AMD Radeon Software for AMD (you have more control with AMD to reduce voltages)

The mining software you are going to use must support both AMD and Nvidia at once, for example Nbminer supports both AMD and Nvidia while Trex supports only Nvidia, you can use Trex for Nvidia cards and Teamred miner for AMD in hiveOS, could be tricky at first for newbie but you can get tutor about it on Youtube.
