Before you decide to go away from crypto space simply because we are in a bear market I want you to know that some amazing stuffs was built in the last bear market, our so called Ethereum killers

1. Hedera  2. Solana. 3. Algorand.  4. Avalanche.

These projects came in the bear market, if you walk away now till next btc halving you will be missing a lot of future opportunities.

I'll take a guess that those are also part of your portfolio.

It's noticeable that those projects are good and based on how the rankings they are, there's an active development from the devs. But knowing that things can change in an instant just like the examples of other projects like Luna and UST. Just be researchful before you invest in a project. And if someone decides to go away and let his portfolio sleep until the next bitcoin halving, that's his decision and strategy.

That does not mean, seeing how a coin is decreasing in value and someone's money worth is decreasing can be very depressing. Assuming you bought the ethereum killer altcoin when the price was very high, like Solana at $250 with $2500 and the price now at $45, that means your money worth has reduced to $450, which is $2050 money loss. What still tell us that the bear market will not last than this and that the price of the coins will not sink down further. What I am thinking to be the best approach is to just wait until another massive fall that people will be so affraid to invest, that will be the best time to invest. And we should always know that holding altcoins is like we are gambling but a very significant bear market will trigger bull run.

They came as an ETH killer and look at them right now?
Though I like the idea of staying on this market even on a bear market, I just don't like those coins well you can really have it as long as you analyze it properly but if you are a newbie, better to look for a more good project especially on this market. This is a great opportunity to buy many good projects while they are still cheap, the next Bitcoin halving will surely bring a positive impact on this market, many are slowly preparing for this and we should also do that as a small investor.

Yes, you are right, I still remember that in 2019 almost all cryptocurrencies experienced a very large decline due to the panic due to covid 19 but some time later the bull market throughout 2020-2021.
I personally remain optimistic that the crypto market has a way of recovering despite the current downturn which I assume is the result of the war between Russia and Ukraine.
if only everything is back to normal I believe crypto will be bullish again.

people may forget it as they are getting scared with the dump that is still happening now. The bearish market will always become the best time to buy, people are so dumb. I know that profesional trader will be seeing this as a golden opportunity. It can be said that if we have been entering into the accumulation time when the price of crypto was crashing so hard but this can go up again once the market will face another bullish time.

Those who think to get out of the crypto market during a bear phase instead of accumulating, they shouldn't have joined the crypto space at the first place. Clearly crypto market is not fit for faint hearted people. It requires patience and long term vision to streer through the ups and downs of the market.

So if someone is an occasional investor trying to test the water, it's better for them to go out of the market completely. Because this group of investors are actually creating panic in the market.

Some crypto investors are disappointed with the bearish market which has been long since the beginning of the year, actually those project mentioned were launched in a bearish market that time to compete or as alternative to ethereum, however I believe in period there was a massive inflow of investors into cryptocurrencies, unlike nowadays that some investors are scare of uncertainties surrounding some of these new projects who might later get abandoned by their developers, even with high rate of scam projects is enough to deter would be investors they will rather prefer to invest in BTC or ETH.

Ethereum is stronger but the ethereum killer coins too are one of the projects that increased in value which was very significant, they have good marketcap which are in billions but not as strong as ethereum, but because they exist, ethereum marketcap would not be as much as it should be, though ethereum is stronger than them all.


It is just like history that is repeating, if they study the market very well, they should have been expecting the bear market to be this year as it occurred in the past like 2018, just like 4 years cycle.

Yes it's bad strategy to leave crypto bin bear market. Bought a couple about 1 year ago Eth at 1,817 andWatched it go down to 1,600 and up to like 5,200 or something like that and still holding

Obviously its the opportunity to hold on your crypto in this bear market and lots of thing coming in future also BTC halving is always good for a bull market but i think before that bull market is going to explode and all of our crypto will boom in this season

I have never liked when a coin or a community think of their coin as the nemesis of another coin and that somehow they will replace it, I still remember the days in which almost every new altcoin that was released claimed itself to be the new bitcoin and how they will take the top spot in the market.

And where are all of those coins? Long gone of course, so I do not trust at all in those coins and their chances of taking over and replacing ethereum.

I'd never think of such a word as "Ethereum Killers", are they exist just for this? Apparently, it was not the reason for their existence Ava and Sol are performing well together with ETH and never I've found it helps to shutdown Ethereum.
However, I'd never find become reasonable to just think about leaving crypto misses a lot of opportunities as some people keep their distance from the market to just relax and to keep calm.

as eth's competitors to be more certain, where these projects are very significant and good value, they have a good market cap but not as strong as eth , with the market capacity they have I'm sure they can survive the bearish times.

First of all, these ethereum killers will not succeed from replacing the position of ethereum so there's no reason to grab for them. But i always believe that most of the wealth in crypto are built when the market is bearish. That is why we should never understimate when there is bearish market because it usually opens for more opportunities to gain wealth in the near future.

The bear market in 2017 was worse than this, the value of altcoins fell by 90 percent, I remember at that time ETH was only worth about 100 dollars. However, to say that these projects are ETH killers requires further proof.

That's right, let them leave the market and only those who are patient and persistent in their goals will be left and become winners in the long run. And i assume that all those who enter the market do not just expect pure profits but also lot of losses too so they won't be hanging here in the market waiting for nothing. And lastly, we will only succeed in this volatile market if we are not looking for easy and quick profits, but more for long term vision because that's how crypto market works, and when it works, there is huge profits waiting ahead of it.

I wonder how many projects claim to the Ethereum killer and no one is able and prove it.
Well, actually Solana is one of the good coins, but I don't think it is the ETH killer.
For me, a bearish market is a time to collect more top coins, especially BTC. ANd I will definitely add some BNB and EThereum. But, still have no idea of what other altcoins I will add. Because none guarantees

As for the projects you have listed, I would agree that they are good and looks solid and I will admit that I have some of them in the portfolio already. Just keeping tabs and then if I have some capital will continue to invest on them in this bear market. As per my experience the last one, I didn't buy until it's too late so this time I wouldn't want to missed that opportunity again to fill my bags with cheap but good altcoin projects and then wait for the next bull run.

I think that to call those as ethereum killers didn't even suit with the fact if those were not even killing ethereum. I do know that if you just give awareness if they shall not miss the best opportunity to buy more during the bearish market like this. I know that if people may think to cutloss and stay away from the market but let them try to decide what they have need to decide. You know what you have been doing. People have their own opinion regarding the market. Just try to tell you the fact.

Good advice IMO but knowing which project that will perform as good as Hedera and avalanche isn't a joke, it can get really good ot really bad so I am taking this advice like a gamble, all in all it still comes down to investing only what you can afford to lose, pick the few projects you believe will survive and buy some part.

There have already been a lot of projects announced as "ETH killers" and we will probably see many more. So far, however, over a longer period of time, none has turned out to be a serious competition, and ETH, despite its problems, continues to strengthen its position on the market. This does not mean, however, that the above-mentioned projects will not turn out to be a good investment. The bear market is indeed a good time to look for investment opportunities. However, it is important to make such decisions mainly on the basis of your own, thorough research.

This is not only the reason at all to remember before anyone to quit in the crypto industry. There are much more to look forward to and that's adoption is still much on going and very much strong as well. Bear market is just a sentiment to bag more assets and wait for next bull cycle in coming years. Millionaires are made in the bear market, so don't quit and continue to embrace the future of finance.

Look at the four coins you mentioned how they suffered in the face of the current market downturn before you say they are ethereum killers, only SOL is a bit more promising than the four coins on your list but I don't want to take the risk of buying solana right now because for me it would be better to buy ETH because the returns offered by ethereuem are much bigger than solana when the bull market has returned.

Its understandable if investors are leaving crypto because they cant stand seeing their assets losing value. Hence they sell at loss and quit for not being patient to wait for recovery. But thats how it is, if you're not firm to hold then you might really end up selling your coins.

But anyway, I agree that the coins you mentioned are good but whats your basis to say its an ETH killer?

If you have these coins in your portfolio then thats good for you. But let the investors do their own research to know what coins are worth to buy while the market is bearish.

From the choice of 4 coins above, only SOL has the potential for the choice of coins above, but I will not take the risk to invest in SOL because the price is relatively high, so my choice remains for ETH and BNB for now because I do not choose other top altcoins who want invested in the current bear market.

what you mentioned above is all good but the key for us is that in bear market we should not be distracted by daily dumps and we should keep investing in crypto because it will go up when all altcoins are down, another good suggestion is to get into projects that have been in development for over from 2 years not only monitor the price but also must unite the development of the project assets that we invest.

Looks like good crypto to consider.  Looking at its roadmap, this cryptocurrency is serious about bringing innovation to the crypto industry, and its plan is feasible.

I don't need to check on this one, this is one of the emerging cryptocurrencies in the industry today.  Getting this one in a bear market is a no brainer.

I am not impressed on this one, it has been 3 years on the market, it started at a higher price then got dumped.  I am not confident on this one even though its trading volume is larger than Hedera.  But if they improve their marketing dept.  This might be one of those hidden gems in crypto.

Undeniably, OP is trying to shill what in his portfolio, but these altcoins is actually promising and better than most of the new projects that's coming out in the market.

well, what you mentioned is a good coin, and it doesn't hurt to hold on to it long term when you intend to get out in the crypto world. a lot of people do things like that. however, personally, I would probably be more inclined to prefer coins like bitcoin, ethereum, and bnb. however, there is nothing wrong with keeping some assets in crypto and forgetting them until the next halving. it's just that the coins mentioned by the OP have an affordable price, so we can buy them in large quantities. however, it could be a good decision. if i quit the crypto world, i probably would.

I disagree, there is nothing to lose; before the next bull market we will have another round of ethereum killers, new projects with hypes and promisese, i just this time, we have one that can actually battle ethereum and give them a challenge. As an investor, get the dips, join in new chains network while its early and take enough profits. I do not trust promises on the blockchain, i trust only bitcoin

Solana, Algorand and Avalanche are three of the projects I follow. In particular, I see the Avalanche project as a strong competitor to ETH. Of course it is in Solana, but lately there have been network shutdowns in Solana. Finally, for some reason, the network stopped. They need to fix these kinds of problems now.

It is a marketing tactic; you call a project "eth killer" and you then just sit back and relax and hope for the best. I personally know for a fact that coins like SOL would never kill eth, there is no possible way for such a thing, but calling it an eth killer means that they are after that market and want to replace it and that is what they will be offering.

As we all know, SOL sucks and it was stopped recently all over again, God knows how many times this makes all over a few NFT releases, so it is not going to be like ETH, but at the very least they are doing marketing based on that and this is why we are talking about a project that will end up making sense to people since they understood the path.

I wonder why people still fear the bearish market. As long as you're holding a potential coin then you should still have patience and quitting is never an answer. The bear market is actually an opportunity to accumulate more good coins. There are still great upcoming crypto events that could make the market situation better soon. If you fear the bear market then the crypto investment isn't for you. Only patience could lead you to better profits in the future.

better get out of Solana first. they have serious problems with the network they are developing. the effect is a decline that continues today. if the developer doesn't fix it soon, there may be cases like LUNA.

but if you want to invest it's better to choose 1 or 2, because if you have a lot of portfolios of course it will make you confused,

Before the bear market, a lot of things have appeared worthy and what is now cheap, and I would not dwell now on projects that have long declared themselves and are examples of classic investing. The beauty of the crypto market is not just the presence of Ethereum killers. By the way, Solana entered the market already during the incipient bull trend, which was then picked up by institutionals and funds, just after the global March collapse caused by the global pandemic.

So OP, are you telling us that we should expect some upcoming Ethereum killers that will pop very soon or after the bear market?
You got a point here, for most of the bear markets I experienced, there will be always times that there are some altcoins that are really a gem and cheap during a bear market but once the market starts to recover, they are pumping too much, it's like a gem hunting season if we are in a bear market.

Those who have been in the crypto space for a long time are already familiar with this situation. I was also afraid of the bear market before because of the thought of losing everything. Until I realized that the bear market is just normal. There are still lots of opportunities that crypto could offer. If the market is down, it doesn't mean that you have to give up.

I won't say fully these are Ethereum killers. Ethereum is still strong they did not affect the Ethereum so far even if you notice in this current bear market almost every coin you mention lost huge value from its All-Time High but I must say these are high potential projects one can not deny but Ethereum is the king of all Altcoins. Like this many projects came and gone in the last several years and in the next 2 years, we will see a lot of new good projects also.

Running away only because of bears? Sheese, that's crazy. Only weak individuals will do that but strong and wise people are going to get more motivated during this event. Im not really a fan of eth but saying that some projects are created to kill it seems not good to hear.

Even if some people thinks eth is not a good coin, we should still give honor to it or show some respect at least because if without eth, there will be no such thing as alternative coins, where people have been using the most than bitcoin because alts can do some thing that btc cant do. Solana and avax and algorand, are not new if not mistaken but it's my first time to hear that hedera. we can try investing on this coin and see if it can bring us nice returns by the time the bull comes.

Just because bearish market arrived and many pump and dump coins are now called "ETH Killers".

So you're telling people to hang around and take a risk on new projects, it's not always the case, good projects come out even in a bull run, if people want to take a break from Cryptocurrency they have their own reason, they are burned out, some emergency situation or don't have the time because of their work or business.
But even if they are on vacation they are always updated on what's happening around the Crypto world, a Crypto investor will always be a Crypto investor.

The only thing those coins which promote themselves as “Ethereum Killer” will actually kill is your capital, investing in those coins is for the most part a bad idea, as they are just trying to hype their own coin by using the fame of another project.

And even if by some miracle those coins were any good that does not mean that whatever coin they are actually trying to replace will disappear, after all as long as a project is a good one there is a space for it in this market.

they definitely isn't ethereum killer, these altcoins couldn't even contain the current correction that they have lost major percentage of their value that I doubt they could ever recover back unless bullish is coming.
Ethereum will always be 2nd highest ranked for the simple fact that anyone has deemed ETH as trend setter in terms of smart contract blockchain.
all these self proclaimed ethereum killer are mostly just layer for ethereum at this moment.

Not even one of them can hold up as well as ethereum in this kind of market situation. Those are just claims made by developers or supporters of Hedera, Solana, Algorand, and Avalanche, but it seems they forgot they were dealing with ethereum. The only thing that has any chance of beating ethereum is a bnb, in my opinion. Hedera, Solana, algorand, Avalanche, they are only a small part of ethereum, nothing to worry about

Although the coins you mentioned are coins that have potential but it's too much to think that they are Ethereum killers,
BNB does have an opportunity for that but so far Ethereum is still above it,
maybe it's better to just follow the movement and the progress will be like

I do agree that BNB has a good potential to be up there, it is a very fluid development project as well. Whenever something gets a bit more famous, they end up putting something in BNB that will cover it, and that is why I believe that it is 100% something that will get a ton of attention. I know that ETH is great, and I believe that ETH will keep on being the second ranked coin and it will get used a ton by the people for sure.

However, just because it is that great, doesn't mean that other ones are bad neither. By this logic, what I mean is, while eth could go from 2 to 4, bnb could go from 1 to 2, still lower in ranking, but at least same levels of increase.

Yes, you are right. too confident to buy etherum killer coins in large quantities is also very risky. I also still remember last year when nominex first entered the exchange, the price was still $6 and it continued to fall until it was stuck at $1.45

but there is another possibility too, if the market suddenly rises like what happened 3 years ago. I held eth at $90 and sold it right away because I was afraid the price would go down but who would have thought that etherum could go up to $4,818.87. when you are in a hold position and the price is going down, the feeling will panic and vice versa, if you are in a position to sell all assets and then in a few years the market goes up, then the feeling of regret will always haunt you.

I’m sorry but I do not see myself exiting the crypto space for a long time. I can’t see myself going back to my old way of living for years where I was a disappointment to my family. My stable work and side gigs are also from crypto-related companies, projects, etc.

And there’s no such thing as Ethereum killers bro. Solana is unstable they had numerous network outage incidents already. I can say that these are alternatives you’ve mentioned, not “killers”.

If you have been in this space for several years, then you don’t want to leave. Many times I saw ups and downs and lost assets in investments. Achieved certain skills and learned to wait and believe. That is, I think that my time was not wasted. And the examples that you gave indicate that everything is still ahead.

Bear market is sometimes not so scary as we think, we fear it simply because we don't want to accept it, don't want it to happen. No market goes up without falling and vice versa, bears cannot rule the market forever.  The stronger we fall and then rise again, as long as we persevere and don't give up, there will always be a chance to succeed.

There is one thing that's not adding up to OP point, how will we identify another Solana and Algorand? Isn't this whole thing more like a gambling ground? Even if you are so sure after doing some research there is no guarantee that your desires and aims will come to past, which comes down to investing only what you can afford to lose, I think this is the best strategy after DYOR.
