yesterday i accidentally stumbled across these Offline Cash Bitcoin notes on twitter and would like to know if any of you already know them and at best already have them in their collection.
from the design point of view i find these very successful. these notes come (as usual with the Polymerbit notes) with no hologram but have a nfc chip.

in my tweet you will find the ref-link and then you have to scroll down to the bottom of the homepage to reserve the notes with your e-mail ;)

What does claim before mean? Does they expire? Not a privat key?

the notes have a nfc chip that works as a second key for multisig - after the date specified - that key will no longer be needed. so if someone had the user set key they could take the funds even if they did not have the note.

if you "re-keyed" the user key than you are fine after that date

@MoparMiningLLC has this exactly right. Expire means the multisig downgrades from 2-2 (user key on note, encrypted manufacturer key on note) to just the user key. This is important, as if you have not re-keyed the note at this time a previous holder can rush to spend from the script. If you store the cash for a while, you probably want to re-key. (if not loaded originally by someone trusted, e.g. family). If you hold in your (physical) wallet for spending soon, you're probably fine to leave the note as is.

will there also be other editions or it remains with these 4 motifs?

I have spread the word and got so many people to sign up that I’m now reserved at #7. Started at #3100. Trying to get my set down into one of the first 3 sets

how can i/we check which position i/we are currently in the whitelist?

edit: ahh, i got it. just go to the homepage and scroll all the way down - then you will see a window with the current position. for me its #107

they stated the possibility of me doing a group buy here on the forums - that might also help ensure that everyone here can get their hands on at least 1 set.

got my email today


says cost is $49 per set for seral number 00101 and higher - $499 per set for serial numbers under 00100.

says they are sold unloaded but its asking for the cost above plust .017 BTC which at first I thought was the load value but the load value is .018 for all 4 notes. So, I am not sure what that is for.

have also received an email today.
the low serial pack is already quite expensive, considering that the notes are not loaded... and this is what the order interface looks like:

@cygan odd that you had "$NaN" for the value mine actually had values - I dont recall them off hand but the reg was 300 something and the low serial number ones were like 800 something

that being said when I sent it to cart, it only charged me 49.99

my invite code does not seem to work anymore. i had used it a few days ago just to check the prices etc. but i did not place an order yet and closed the page again then :P
and now i can no longer log in to make an order... can you do something?

yes, i also got the right mail on the 14th and signed up on a trial basis with the invite code
only now i wanted to register again to order the notes, but it didn't work anymore...

you had to purchase them with the code when it was received - I dont believe they were reusable. I had 11 or 12 people sign up with my referral code, maybe if one of them see this thread they could add an extra one on to their order for you.



@ccamrobertson also offered to let me possible do a group buy but never gave me an specifics how to do that. Not sure if I was supposed to set one up and then use my invite code or what the plan would be.

Once I opened it and saw that I could order multiple sets, I was under the impression that if I closed that window, I would lose the ability to even order mine. I also was not sure if it would eventually time out as well.

If they could provide me with another code, I could also set up a group buy and get multiple sets that could then be reshipped to those interested.

Collectors should like it looks very attractive, and given the fact that bitcoin will be expensive in the future, the bills will acquire value on an equal basis with numismatic coins, and of course an interesting idea for the popularization of crypto.
