Title: What are you ready to buy/sell for bitcoins now?
Post by: lenaza2022 on June 13, 2022, 07:39:05 PM
Bitcoin may still be in a volatile market for a long time. How are you ready to dispose of your assets now? Would you like to buy and sell your assets/products/services for bitcoins? How are you ready to negotiate a price to make the deal go through?
Let's discuss assets, goods and services which price is more than $200 net. Inexpensive goods have already been discussed on this forum. For now, we will not take into account the fact that the use of crypto may be prohibited in one country or another. Let's find how we are ready to negotiate, and what tools we do need in order the buyer could find the seller.

For now, i use bitcoin to purchase some digital stuff online. Maybe because i live in a country where cryptocurrencies are not yet legalized.
However, i may not use it to buy expensive things unless i cash it out for a certain period of time before decide to buy.

If ever i do see some chance on spending my coins directly on buying something and if its locally available or something that i could meet up with then it would really be heading for that option

but same as yours on where crypto isnt legalized yet but there are merchants and services which is already accepting crypto payments which is good but i do usually
not tend to make use of it because it is really just a waste of opportunity.

If i dont have any choice or option then i might came up with this method but as much as possible i do lessen out such s pending.

Nope I can't sell my assets for now to buy bitcoin but rather sell my earned bitcoins from different profitable things I do to buy assets. Because for now bitcoin is volatile and I can't afford to get huge stress and be broke once the market is totally falling just like what happen on the market these days.

Just put the amount what you can afford to lose and its not advisable to go all in because you are gambling your future on things you don't know what will be the outcome on future.

When the market price has a dip correction, I don't want to use my Bitcoin or even cash them out if there's an option of using fiat, I will.
Bitcoin seems valuable stuff for me and also when you're disposing of them while the price was almost on the floor, I feel like missing the opportunity of making a profit and also burning the value of the dollar that's supposedly your profit.

I prefer to hold when the price is in the correction stage, but I do the same, if there's no other option, I blindly sell them all without looking at the market price.  For now, buying Bitcoin little by little that the amount you can afford is the best option, when the Bitcoin price break the previous one that's the time I will add my assets to Bitcoin.

Honestly, I am more willing to have some assets before I can even consider selling anything for bitcoin. Unfortunately I do not have much, which resulted with me not really having anything to offer for crypto, and that is the reason why I am not trading at all. I would love to do it, bitcoin is the better version of owning assets, its both a currency and an asset at the same time. People often forget that even though there are 1+ trillion dollars worth of coins out there, there are plenty of poor people like me involved in crypto as well. I may not be the traditional poor person because I make a decent living, but I still do not have much, I just have income, not assets, not items in my house, I just have income that I spend everyone month. Downside of living in an expensive place.

Nothing has changed. Price goes up or low, there's not that much change on how I'll keep and spend my bitcoins. I've got the specific part for holding and it's just going to be added and not going to be spent. While on the other part of my portfolio, there's the part of being added and is willing to be spent. That's how I'm going to make things even if we're on a bear market, there's really not that much to change just because we're on a heavy blow by the bear now.

Selling the items you bought with $65K BTC now isn't the worst idea.  Buy fancy car, drive for a year, sell for more in BTC than you paid.  Sounds like a good deal to me.  :)

Doesn't have to be a car either.  Maybe jewelry or collector coins.  Basically anything...  Even USD...  I think the folks who were able to sell at $65K are probably happy to buy back twice as many coins and spend the rest on whatever they see fit.  This is why diversification is always important, sometimes even with things that might not appear to be smart financial purchases at the time.

The Bitcoin market is now completely under control. Nothing is understood in this market. There are many people who have bought Bitcoin after seeing the price of Bitcoin go down. They may have invested in buying Bitcoin when they were in the range of $30k but now Bitcoin has gone up to $22k.Nothing is being controlled here. However, despite the good news in the market, the market is still declining. At the moment I will never buy bitcoin. I bought some bitcoins and some BNB from which I have enough I can't think of selling them.I realized from this market that we have to wait longer and then maybe we can see a better market.

Since I have a job and some gigs online. Some of them are used to buying some cheap Bitcoins, I started this when Bitcoin dropped below $28,000 last month.
Especially now that Bitcoin is cheaper, I have the chance to accumulate more Bitcoin. For physical things, like goods, I don't have any for it that I can sell and use to buy Bitcoin.

I have been buying and selling bitcoin for goods and services for years now and I stand ready to do so for anything that gives me the ability to do so. I guess there are things like Chipotle that now accept bitcoin that I don’t necessarily want to use bitcoin to buy but I will do so as I see it as important for the ecosystem. I think others need to do and realize the same.

I believe that it would bounce back before halving so I like to get more this time before it starts to move up again.

Digital content.

I think it's the perfect thing to sell for sats. Small payments in sats for some digital content seems to be the best way to actually make transactions these days.

Specially with lightning, it feels so easy and fast to buy and sell digital stuff.

A good currency/asset, even in times of instability, retains its purchasing power. Now is the time for a challenge on how to negotiate a price for a product / service in bitcoins if the value of bitcoin, converted into fiat, falls. What is the best way to negotiate the sale/purchase of goods/services in bitcoins now?

Title: Re: What are you ready to buy/sell for bitcoins now?

Since the price right now is unstable, and it is going down further to the point that we don't have any idea when it will gonna recover, it's really nice to invest and buy from this dip with your spared money because they are not gonna let it sink to the bottom. I mean the whale is just waiting right there patiently and they will start to move once the price stop sinking and that's when we move, those who are only waiting for the right time to spend their unused money. We might become risk-taker in this kind of scenario but at least we are spending money that is not really important, rather than letting sleep without gaining anything.

Actually I'm not holding much these days because I'm already speculating that there might be a crash happening in future and can't afford to experience what happen on year 2018 again that's why I'm kinda not worried about such things because I already secured my assets in safe place. The price now is so unstable and there's a possibilities that we might see more worse situation and we need to be prepare for accumulation time because for sure many whales will do buy back for another long term hold.

I'm selling everything for Bitcoin.

I'm selling typical Bitcoin themed silver coins: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1637562.0

I'm selling other precious metals at spot price: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5072237.0

I'm selling original silver coins that earn/store BTC: https://nastyfans.org/mint

I'm even willing to sell my house for BTC if anyone is interested.  It's got a heated pool, an off-grid solar energy system, and lots of bedrooms (one with a separate electric circuit and exhaust tube for mining).

Basically, there's no object in my life that wouldn't be traded for Bitcoin at the right price.  I'm ready to live that Jedi life over here.

There's a certain local fiat for which I sell my BTC to deal with matters related to the country to which this fiat belongs. So I normally sell some for fiat, like, every month, to have some of that fiat on my card instead of doing international transfers. When the price feel to $30k, I thought it was way too low to sell, and now it's even lower, so I'm not sure what to do because it might get even lower and I'd really need to sell some at that point, which would be unwise. Bitcoin isn't much of an investment to me, but it's something I keep some of my money in. If I don't need fiat for something specific, I won't sell BTC, but that's largely true for my behavior with BTC regardless of the price situation. Reasonably, I think now is the time to hodl or, if you have extra funds, buy more.
Of course, if I didn't have to sell and could, say, for the bills or for groceries in BTC, that would have been much easier.

Most digital bitcoin purchases came from:

  • Direct Payment: Most online sites do not accept Bitcoin payments, but some sites do.
  • Gift Cards: Payment is made with Bitcoin and a gift card is shipped with it in most electronic markets.
  • Visa and MasterCard cards: After identity verification, you will be given a card to use in most stores.
  • Third Party Payment: With Escrow, you can pay a third party to make the payment for you.
  • Transferring bitcoins to cash: A last resort may be to convert them into cash or a digital balance that you can spend.

Why don't people use Bitcoin for their daily lives? Simply because it is a long-term investment.

I think its best time to take entry in bitcoin or wait some days before market will be bull or bear its totally depand on some newa after 2 days and in my opinion bitcoin will not break its support and market will be near very soon or will take some time like 1or 2 months and I'm shore if  someone take entry at this time that person will be very happy after some times.

Bitcoin is currently in a very volatile phase showing a drastic drop in its price. I will not throw away my bitcoins right now but will buy some at the current price or lower. I've bought some bitcoins at the current price and I'm still waiting for another low price to achieve my target price. But people who are not prepared for this situation must have sold their bitcoins at a loss but if they can buy bitcoins at a low price, then it is hard to recover their losses.

Title: Re: What are you ready to buy/sell for bitcoins now?

Bitcoin could fall even lower. If bitcoin claims to be a currency, then there must be a demand for it in times of decline and rise. Buying a house or a car with bitcoins is an asset exchange. The exchange of assets can take place at the contractual rate of bitcoin, and not at the instant. The situation is different with inexpensive goods in online commerce.

I never sell bitcoin when it's 50% or more down from its ATH. Usually when it's in a correction between 50 and 100% of ATH I prefer to wait and see it unfold. If it bounces back and continues to go up like in 2021 I go back to slowly exchanging it for goods, but when it goes below 50% of ATH, like when it dipped to 6k in 2018 or to 30k this year, I stop waiting and begin to accumulate. I've been doing it for the last 8 years and I see no reason to stop now.

I don't have much to sell because I usually don't hold things that I don't use. If there's something laying around at home I sell it online or throw it away. I have a car that I bought last year for my bitcoin profits and it would be a great bargain to sell it for BTC because its price went up due to inflation and I'd get much more bitcoins for it that I had to sell to get it, but I'm using it daily. Same with my house, my computer, things like that.

This is something you guys can learn from me. Always make sure you have much more cash saved up than you think you'll need. I sold some bitcoins at 50-65k range and I thought this is going to be enough to rebuy when the bear market comes and cover all my expenses, but the inflation and gas prices make me think that I might not have enough.

when the market is experiencing a decline like this I think my btc is better I save without buying goods/services with btc only save for now
and even to buy, I still think how many times because hard times are very real inflation has an impact on my finances, so I save my fiat , for my life today tomorrow and so on until this inflation ends

some countries don't exchange bitcoin with anything, unless you changed bitcoin and after changing it to fuat currency and you can use it to buy what you wanted to buy without delay, before you see a country who you went directly to supermarket to purchase or buy your needs and you are allowed to pay bills with cryptocurrency, i don't think it's many as expected for the world, many countries people who are using bitcoin is not coming out officially

indeed this is the right time to keep trying to collect as much as we can because this is an opportunity that may be hard to come by again. Usually what happens is that after the halving there will be an increase again, if you say that before the halving, of course it can be better because the time will be long enough for the best price to be.

your statement is not quite understood. If you are emphasising directly to bitcoin price just focus on the price and if you want to analyze the price through selling of cryptocurrency and services. And also the methods of it depreciates in the market then you make it known to us.

That's the 4 year cycle and we all know about it. When this bear market has came then it's where the capitulation is about to get started. While the others have been crying that the market is about to die. Here we are, planning how much we're going to spend just to collect more.
And that's the right thing to do but, I don't think that selling your other assets for it is a good idea. As long as you've decided to do it, that's your conscience but the better idea is when you've got so much spare and that will be the ones to be used for buying.

Right now the cryptomarket is in its decline market. So anything done in exchange for bitcoin will get you increased value in bitcoin. In my country the cryptocurrency acceptance is quite low and the taxation over the same is high. This makes people to handle cryptocurrency usage in a secret manner. For now I don't have the access to buy/sell anything for bitcoin. Hope this will change in the coming years.

I wonder how your government officials implement taxation laws towards crypto usage. So if you can transact with crypto without the knowledge of your government, why not?  :P Because if you are just dealing with small amounts, it is not worth submitting it for taxation purposes.

Right now, as much as possible, I want to accumulate btc, because it may be another trying period for the market. But I do believe that btc will bounce back in the very near future. There were so many ups and downs that we have survived already, and this is just another one of them.

"Invest only the amount that we can afford to lose" and we have to always remember this. Not in the thing that Bitcoin cheap, cryptos are in dip we have to buy them, we should stick to our limitations as the risk is too high in an uncontrollable investment like this. I couldn't assume but of course, recovery will come next to this bear season but the question is - can we wait for that moment to come after buying now? It is a need for us to question this in ourselves as to know that we can't assure when otherwise this will happen to us - buying low, selling low.

I don't think I will really have any problem purchasing anything with Bitcoin regardless of the worth of the Item, goos/service even though I have not really used Bitcoin to purchase too much stuff. This is because, I will still pay for whatever I need, and using Bitcoin wouldn't make any difference cos I might ever just sell that for fiat anyways but when the option for paying with Bitcoin is available, I still could do that and the amount isn't an issue regardless the amount of Bitcoin is Available.

Yeah people who got in very early definitely did make a lot more in bitcoins and having a bigger trust in the system is easier when you made that much money. I will take it one step further, people like me who have been in crypto for as long as those people have been, but didn't made that much money, end up trusting it even more because we have seen what happens when we do not, if we did then we could have been pretty rich and we didn't and didn't become rich.

Now, I am on your level as well, even after being here more than most people, I still save little by little every month, and then hoping that it would give me a good return in the long run.

I would never sell my other crypto assets just to buy bitcoin because I am already down because of the bear market and selling them would be suicide too. Its better to buy bitcoin from fresh money hence its the best buy too and with that we know that it can recover soon enough more than we expected gonna happen.

Both, I am ready to Buy and I am ready to sell depend on market situation and condition , though i have plenty of funds for long term yet there are some amount that I am using for trading and short term so it depends on how i felt the market on the same occasion .

But nowadays? all I wanted is to Buy more because of the dumping era that will last for some time for sure because of so many crisis happening worldwide.

I sold a lot of my cryptos for Bitcoin (not FTM and ICP though) and if I had a house, I would sell it too.

Right now, I don't have any business that can accept Bitcoin payments, but I really wish I have one, for this reason, I have it in my plan that in the nearest future, ones am able to gather enough money, I will be building and launching a big store which will operate both online and offline, where people can walk in to spend their Bitcoins to purchase varieties of goods and items, and those that are not in my region will have the option of visiting my store website to purchase whatever they want and make payment in Bitcoin, and I will have the purchased goods or items shipped to their destination.
This is some thing am planning to achieve on or before 2025, I pray for help and grace from above, for I know it is a big dream which I need help and grace from above to fulfill.

Come on! Ar you for real? Would you reay go that learnt of selling off all your household for bitcoin??
Like, I get it that, its nothing wasted and a form of investment but,

Wha happens to invest only what you can afford to loose?
It's not entirely reasonable to me and I don't think you would go through with that. I get the point that, it would go for the right price, which could go from what it's valued out to being outrageously high in an attempt to discourage buying. If the price where to be proportionate, would you really do that?

You seem to have a lot of comfort at your home from what you've described and being ready to live the Jedi life would be something that won't suit with you for even a day. It's really up to you though!

I don't have any businesses now but I am 100% in Bitcoin (only those mandatory bills are paid with fiat). To be honest, I don't earn enough to have anything saved. And if I earn enough in this or that month, it goes to Bitcoin!

I really agree with your approach that in situations where you don't have any business anymore, you can focus more on crypto. now is actually a very good time to be able to continue buying and saving in bitcoin because the price is quite cheap and by continuing to collect little by little then when the price starts to recover, the investment we have made will be very useful. you are very wise and deserve to continue to do because this is the best solution.

I'd say that the best way to find buyers who deal in Bitcoin is through local Bitcoin/crypto focused groups. Be careful about the laws in your country. As far as I know the sales of items above a certain value need to be formally closed with documents as proof (bill, contract, etc.). That might also be in your benefit as in case of a control from the fiscal agency you generally need to prove income (this mostly applies if you're doing a lot of transactions)

Everyone should hold or buy Bitcoin as much as possible. As it is the highest volatile currency, it can be a big problem if you do something beyond your capacity. Another thing is that since it is still restricted in most of the countries, we can't deal with anything else even if we want. As the bearish market is ongoing this the right time to buy as much as we can.

Bitcoin may still be in a volatile market for a long time. How are you ready to dispose of your assets now? Would you like to buy and sell your assets/products/services for bitcoins? How are you ready to negotiate a price to make the deal go through?

At this situation we have now in this industry, I'd rather to hold not to sell, in fact, If have the excess money to buy more some altcoins in the market now, I will surely buy a lot of coins that has a potentials to increase again when Bull run begin to move in this field of business. Especially, we are still in the stage of Bear market now where the majority of the community so far are doing the same thing I did right now dude and this is the best method anyway to apply as an individual traders in the cryptocurrency.

Don't have enough bitcoins at this time to spend on buying stuff which i can usually have with fiat so at this time or say coming years I am just holding my coins without even selling them unless there is an emergency to take out the funds as I am not having too much btc with me and don't want to use them knowing how much they will be worth in future.

So far only digital goods I have used btc to purchase and that's because my local fiat currency is not an option. I haven't purchase any physical goods with btc yet perhaps someday I will have the privilege to.
Am seeing different stories here in forum of members who had used btc to make physical purchase in different ways, maybe someday I will tell a similar story. I don't really think I have a specific item as long as I can make purchase in btc I think that will be fine.

I am a type of Bitcoin holder although not too long term holder, but at least I am willing to hold the Bitcoin until the next bullish era to be able to sell them and take profits. If our focus is not for the short term or trading, this bearish market with this high volatility doesn't give a big mater for us to keep buyng.
However, honestly, I personally will not risk more than I can afford. That is why will not sell my assets in real life to buy Bitcoin. I will prefer to collect little by title money and keep them until able to buy mroe Bitcoinwith the money, noted thatthe money is exactlyfree money to invest. So, it will be no matter if sometime I can losse it because that is the amount that I exactly can afford to loose.

Everyone should hold or buy Bitcoin as much as possible.

In this price zone we are in, it is dangerous to buy in an uncontrolled way, I really advise that people before thinking about buying first think about the following:

- want to buy for what profit?

- Will they be willing to lose (in case of a fall) to what extent?

with that in mind they will be able to define a strategy and will be able to be patient in the event of a very large price drop

As someone who lives in a third-world country, having your own means of transportation is both a necessity and convenience. Although gas and fuel prices may be significantly high right now, having your own car somehow negates the extra hassle of commuting daily. I am saving most of my BTCs nowadays in order to purchase my first car- something that I never thought would be possible until I discovered this forum last 2017.

Though I am still far away from reaching my goal, what matters is that I remain consistent with my efforts weekly. BTCs are precious and it is nothing but obvious to spend/use them to things that are equitably useful to my end.
