Binance is announcing an exclusive, multi-year NFT partnership with Portuguese footballing legend Cristiano Ronaldo. Through this partnership, Binance will launch a global promotion aiming to give Ronaldo’s fans an introduction to Web3 with a compelling entry point into the world of NFTs.

Over the course of the agreement, Binance and Cristiano Ronaldo will create a series of NFT collections for sale exclusively on the Binance NFT platform. The first NFT collection will be released later this year and feature designs created in collaboration with Ronaldo.

Binance do spent a lot money here since Cristiano Ronaldo is a GOAT in football and many people who don't want watch football also know who he is. I think the NFT price would be skyrocket since there's a lot Cristiano Ronaldo fans out there, however it's just a hype and then it's will become worthless.

:) There will be new hype following this news, and I really can't imagine what they will do with it. It is possible that we are seeing the cooling of NFT in the past few months, and this may be a way for Binance to prepare for a new monetization scheme from users and investors. However, this is great news because it shows the cooperation between the parties. This is one of my favorite rock stars.

You know what happen with project partnered with famous people without crypto knowledge background? It died pretty fast and short lived.
With big name like binance,maybe it will create a hype for like a month and people will forget it then lose it value.You know,like the ''first tweet'' case.

According to reports, Binance will launch its first NFT collection in late 2022, and it will feature designs created in collaboration with Ronaldo himself. All NFT collections will be available exclusively on Binance's NFT store.
It's interesting to note that Ronaldo is the most followed person on Instagram, having 459 million followers. He has more followers than the population of the entire United States. So I guess that's somewhat good for crypto adoption, at least people will have to learn something.

It is ironic that Binance CEO Changpeng posted a week ago that the company had passed on expensive sponsorships allowing them to keep on hiring more employees during the crypto bear market. This is almost like him contradicting himself.

I am not too surprised to see this as Binance is increasing their influence in this market as well as in other areas, and this time we see a partnership with CR7. But honestly, I'm still looking forward to other positive signals surrounding the NFT trend, not to popularize it but to show people what it will bring, after all the hype is over. Everyone sees a lot of junk products, but the market giants have yet to prove different with what they offer.

CR7 is a very good choice by binance. I know that if binance must have paid him a lot but that's worth with how many followers on his instagram. he can be considered as a guy with so many followers after instagram itself. Multi year partnership will give so many impact to the binance.

There's no guarantee for that but they might be a temporary increase of price for those NFT attributed to CR7 itself and not the general NFT price. Binancedone this before with different football star but the result is not that much a big impact. I know CR7 and I’m a fan of him but I will definitely don't  buy an NFT right now since the marketis very bad. No one will buy a useless NFT right now unless you are a collector only. Investors are giving importance to cheap crypto rather than fancy NFT on this crypto bloodbath.

Hmm pretty interesting case happened with binance. Ronaldo already announced the partnership with binance. just curious how many millions USD being paid for him. Let's see how effective this effort by binance but im sure that if this is related with the NFT. binance is trying to take NFT into the next level of adoptions. It seems like so many NFT related projects were facing a small surge caused by this news, I hope that another big news will come from the development and adoption for NFT as well.

Cristiano Ronaldo is a celebrity who has fans in every corner of the globe. There are still a lot of people who don't know much about digital currency, especially NFT, especially in countries like Pakistan.  It will be much easier to convey the message of this new technology to many people.

Maybe just a tad bit too late? I mean don't get me wrong there will be a billion fans out there who will be standing outside trying to get a feeling out of any of this. But, that doesn't change the fact that I would not be doing this just for the money, probably never for the money.

After all of that first initial hype is gone, and the "it's ronaldo nft!!" people already bought it, then we are going to have a calm period where it will probably not worth as much as it did initially. Plus if they did this like a year ago for example, it would have collected at least twice as much as they could now, still a lot of money today, but not nearly as much as it could have been.

Ronaldo is a guy that sold like 100+ million dollars in jersey sales last year alone, if you could get his jerseys sold that much, then I am sure that his NFT would probably get sold a lot as well. This is why it is going to be fine for now, but not a great idea in the long run.

You may remember that just shifting a bottle of Ronaldo brand can make the price in the market drop very drastically. And now that he's tweeting with Binance to collaborate on launching NFT it's definitely going to be hype. I'm not sure this will be a cheap price to buy and if Binance is the platform then it's possible the promotion will go well.

Not a good move, Binance. If Binance can afford that kind of money paying a renowned figure who doesn't have anything to do with crypto, shill NFTs which also didn't really popular among crypto community. Then they're really desperate and want the money from people who know nothing about NTF at all. This is a recipe for disasters in the future.

They have to go for the short-term.

Surely they know the NFT hype is running out of steam fast due to the bad press it keeps getting, plus, the recent crypto crash doesn't help either. But, still, even if the NFT thing doesn't go as planned, it's not a bad investment to have one of the most popular football players to shill for your product. If Binance can get at least 2% of Ronaldo's IG followers to open a binance acc, 9mill users, and at least retain 10% of those new users, that would be a massive success for Binance.

I am not sure about that but some rumors that are this CR7 NFT series will be released this year soon. But I am so excited about this idea of the humble "CZ" would change NFT MarketPlace as well as Crypto.

It would be too naive that their strategy would only be narrowing toward an NFT as it is. Do note that, Ronaldo's publicity is enormous and if we look at Binance competitor some of them got troubled in regard of bankruptcy issues. So, NFT is not merely the point.

It's good news and it's really a fruitful partnership as Cristiano Ronaldo has a huge fan base of football fans. The agreement made by CZ, the CEO of the Binance platform, with the famous football player Cristiano will have a great impact on the industry and attract many investors and those interested in NFT. That is a really great move by Binance, as everyone is expecting that to happen since Messi already launched his NFT with Ethernity and Cristiano Ronaldo were waiting for his NFT for a long time and i expected a competition between platforms to get him sign with them and it was Binance that was finally able to do that, Messi NFT was a huge success and it sold out in record time and i am expecting the same with Cristiano Ronaldo.

I think an NFT machine with images or the like involving Ronaldo should in an instant make us unable to get them easily. definitely, this will be another sold out event. binance really goes big here. anyway, they can very much afford ronaldo. and since ronaldo has hundreds of millions of followers in every social media account, it would be very easy for them to sell whatever NFT they are brewing here. they may even run out of the collectible items to be sold. i guess, this is just the beginning, there will be more popular athletes that will explore their NFT collectibles and actually, some are already launching their own.

This partnership is commendable as its directed towards the NFTs market which is purely regulated by emotions and not by logic. if Binance doesn't offer it's services in your country means your country is not a crypto friendly country and binance is afraid to operate their because of legal issues. otherwise binance is a best platform for crypto users. you can also try it's P2P if direct withdrawls doesn't work.

It was a very good deal for the promotion of nft and web3s. And the best football player in the world is CR7 or goat, but the time in this deal seemed a bit wrong timing to me. Could it have had better effects if it had been done earlier? I think a lot of money was spent on this sponsorship, it seems like they could have made more money with better timing.

They do have a lot of money, which means that it is not really hard for them to do something like this. I am not saying that it is impossible for other exchanges to do similar stuff, look at crypto.com they are much smaller than binance and they are doing amazing crypto work.

If I am not mistaken they are going to be sponsoring world cup as well, if that is true that would be the biggest crypto marketing in the world history so far, could get bigger stuff eventually but I can't think of anything that will be viewed as much as world cup. I know that they did Formula 1 series, but that is smaller than world cup. Hence Ronaldo deal Binance has is not that big, it's quite understandable levels.

I really doubt binance gonna be making some meaningful money out of this partnership, instead they're just maybe trying to keep NFT from really fading away.

Great marketing and advertising! I think that this will benefit Binance and attract a new audience and potential investors. Perhaps the release of NFTs at the end of this year will begin with the start of a new bull run on the crypto market.
