Thumbs up providing a free copy, but I would much rather users downloaded it for themselves, for a couple of reasons;

• There is a security risk from downloading random files over the internet, and users should not be encouraged to do that,

• This is an intellectual property of the author, and they get a percentage from sales on Amazon; They should not be denied that.

What is surprising is that the book cover design is the same among many translations, except for China and some countries. Does anyone know the reason?

It's not that we don't like free stuff, but we basically do not want to be seen as a piracy board, so you should remove the link before some DMCA guy knocks on theymos's email address.

I could have got my hands on this book for free during the Token 2049 event in Hongkong years ago but I have missed the opportunity since they only have limited copies to give out back then.

I don't know man but personally I don't want to download it unless you've got an official permission from the author himself and not from a third party. It's a huge risk for sharing free download link like this book without a confirmed permission or being authorized by the author. Once that author officially authorize you for that, then it's good. But if not, you could be in trouble in the future once the author finds out.

The book is indeed valuable but I think it already loses its value the moment you share it here for free. The price of the book was only 18 dollars anyway and I think that was not heavy compared to the quality and the knowledge that you will be getting on this book. Once you master it, it will now be easy for you to earn money through bitcoin and you can easily recover the money you spend here.

If the guy was a famous bitcoiner then everything that he gave to you has a sentimental value so you shouldn't gave it away just like that. There must be free bitcoin books out there and that's the one that you should share here and not those who are paid ones because that's kinda illegal.
