Title: Largest exchange in Philippines to list SHIB !!!
Post by: tokyohd on July 17, 2022, 04:09:49 AM
According to several recent tweets posted by Coins.ph, the largest regulated crypto exchange in the Philippines, the platform intended to list Shiba Inu on July 13. However, due to certain technical issues, the listing of the second largest meme coin by market cap has so far been postponed. The exchange promised to list Shiba Inu "very soon."

These exchanges that are announcing that they're going to list shiba is sort of late to the party. If they've done that during the bull run, I guess that this is going to make noise.

But not at this time.

Well, they've added it to their listed coins but there's no big noise and catch to it, maybe for those that have been using that exchange and holds shiba, you've got easier access to dump it soon.

Well a new listing on an exchange is always a good thing in general, but i really doubt that this news will have any impact on the price of Shiba Inu. I mean Shiba Inu is a top 20 coin in terms of marketcap (i don't know why it has such high market cap but it is how it is) and therefore it is already listed on the biggest exchanges like Binance, Coinbase, Huobi, Kraken, Kucoin, Gate.io and so on, so the news that it will be also listed on an exchange that i have never heard of before is really nothing special anymore. I don't know about the regulations in the phillipines but maybe that could not legally buy Shiba Inu before because they had to use other exchanges from other countries to do that?

I agree with you that the platform is very late in listing this currency and that this may be considered as excessive hype, but looking at the platform we note that the platform originally only provides the possibility to acquire Bitcoin, Ethereum or Bitcoin Cash. I mean, I will not be surprised that this step will be celebrated despite its simplicity compared to other platforms.
Also, it does not seem to me that the platform allows selling, as users can only buy according to what I understand from the home page.

The interest on shiba inu has actually dropped drastically and it possible it may continue to drop, even that of its pioneering(the coin shiba inu is practically mimicking) coin Doge coin has really experienced a drop in interest. I think this was meant to be because memecoin doesn’t and didn’t have a solid foundation they only built of the influence from Elon musk and that influence is fading away.
Well the exchange won’t be losing much if they don’t list shiba inu and many Philippines that are interested in shiba inu have other way to get it.

I don't think it's going anywhere, i mean it raiser over 88M% percentages, so obviously it has to withdraw, and since everything is down now, so is it.
I personally totally missed out in shiba and no way in earth i saw it coming. But i see the attraction as it's basically doge meme without controversial PoW.

"Largest exchange in Philippines..." The news is presented as if the liquidity on this exchange is somehow important for the crypto industry and for SHIB. Judging by the way SHIB price and volumes reacted to this news, there is a feeling that filing such mediocre news in such a way is primarily aimed at creating maximum possible noise around this project. When there are no other updates, it remains only to be content with listings on local exchanges.

Coinsph is not an exchange as far as I know, they have the coinspro but not the coinsph since its a local wallet and their main purpose is not as an exchange. Anyway, what’s a big deal about this one? SHIB is a meme token and top exchanges already have this token on their platform but still it doesn’t make any difference. What ever the hype you’re thinking about this plan on listing SHIB, I think it can’t make a huge pump since honestly Philippine market is not that big.

I'm not sure this news will have a big effect and shiba has a lot of interest again, previously shiba was listed on robinhood with the news it only increase maybe 7% and now it has drop further also probably due to the bear market impact. Only Shibarmy still holds their bite for this asset, there may also be a new investor but not strong enough to pump.

Exchange listing is not a good hype anymore and beside, SHIB is listed already in a big exchanges like Binance so I don’t think this one will have a big impact since Philippines is not a big market, and we are still struggling when it comes to Bitcoin adoption. Well, coinsph is a good platform for a newbie but again not everyone is using this wallet for their trade purposes, this is like a normal news to me. Coinsph continues to grow though, its good to have this kind of wallet locally.

It doesn't give any impact anymore to the price. The era for the meme token has gone. Anyone is focusing to trade rather than speculating with meme token and take it for long. These days people are aware if the market is pretty much unstable unlike what happened last year. Meme token has not yet become the best option anymore. It can be said that if the meme token is very bad choice for now.
I meant if you must realize the fact that if meme token is not getting the demand again. The price keeps dropping day to the another day.

Upon opening my Coins.ph wallet account, it seems very frustrating to see there are a lot of tokens/coins listed day by day.  I know that most of them didn't have utility and were also a part of meme coins, so I didn't surprise they included SHIB to list on that exchange.

Listing on that exchange will not change the price of SHIBA, people know about meme coins that it's very risky to invest and besides, there are many tokens that you can choose there aside from SHIBA INU.

TBH, people use this exchange for converting their Bitcoin to fiat including me because it's easy and very convenient to use but considered a wallet or store your asset in a long term, never.

Even now Shiba and bitcoin were the most searched cryptocurrency among the United Kingdom people. So, there is much expectations over Shiba. Maybe the exchange might've analysed and found similar statistics with the Philippines people interested over Shiba investment. Shiba entered the market as a memecoin, but further it is being making regular updates and more development to stay high on the market.

I think coins.ph is already late for the party.  Shib hype had long been gone.  So listing this meme token won't have that much effect on its users.  I also think that users will prefer trading shib in Binance due to the lower transaction/conversion fee.  Aside from that when it came to conversion, P2P Binance has no fee so I do not think that listing Shib to coins.ph will give coins.ph the impact they are expecting.

Kind of late? Or is Shib planning to do something to bring out its hype once again so coins decided to do this or something? I don't even know people who use coins.ph as their wallet, I myself use it to simply convert my crypto to fiat if I need it quickly enough (not that any custodial wallet should be considered). I doubt listing Shib would do anything, whether it be this exchange or any other exchange out there. Not to mention that coins may be the largest exchange in ph, but I don't think most people even use it as such.

Listing Shib is too late I agree with that. Coins.ph is the most popular wallet in the country, its just like Revolut or Coinbase in US. I use to like it since it's easy to use and cash out crypto. The company however plays trick after every bullrun because they suspend withdrawals or prevent you from converting your BTC to local currency.

There will be no impact on Shiba's price from this since it is nothing special, despite being a top exchange in the Philippines, coins.ph does not have a lot of reputation and is not a top exchange in the world.

This news is good news for the Philippines market, investors in the Philippines will now add the option to trade with shiba tokens through their country's largest exchange.

I see coins.ph more of a Wallet than an exchange and even if all the major crypto trading exchanges have already listed Shiba Inu, I wonder what this listing will bring to Shiba Inu outside coins.ph adding Shiba Inus hodlers/traders to their own customer base. MAybe Shiba Inus price might rebound again but for it to do so in a Bear market has to be more than adding it to a Wallet.

The fact that Shib, a meme coin off Dogecoin has a market cap higher than Litecoin or FTT or LINK shows you the state of the market pretty much. Its crazy why this coin's value is still so high. Dogecoin I understand since Elon pumps it from time to time but Shib, I just don't understand.

I had a short on Shib a while back and assumed it would crash already but it still retains its value and I just don't understand why. Especially with the bear market we just had. The fact that last Summer lows still weren't breached tells you alot about the state of the coin.

Maybe for their users that hold shiba, it's a likeable listing to them as they find the exchange easy to use.

But they're really too late on this adoption and they should have done that long time ago. We'll see if it's worth it for them that they've listed it when the hype's over.

It's also probably a long time before they've decided to accept it, they went through thinking and planning before it happened. Yeah, good but let's see how it will look like when bulls are back.

This is true, Shib hype is already over and only bunch of left behind holders is just holding there bag.

But I just remember that Philippines has many noob traders that will buy this kind of shitcoin considering how high the price of this token during ATH. Filipino newbie traders is very easy to manipulate by just a simple influencer hyping it. Coins.ph has a lot user in our country so it's that it might create a medium hype here in our local since this will surely gonna be on social media.

Compared to Indodax, one of the most popular Exchange in Indondonesia, they have listed Shiba on early June. So, you guys missed quite a lot.

And I think the hype for Shiba is already disappear now and the exchange itself does not have much market volume, so maybe it won't affect Shiba price

Are you people looking at the CMC rank?  SHIB is still on 15th.

If this token didn't died this bear market and has a volume of over $400M a day then this token is not going to die.  SHIB will probably keep on moving up when the team pulls of a milestone, the price will take you up. Where else can they list SHIB, its listed every exchange on the planet even on Robinhood of course they'd be looking forward to be listed on minor exchanges.

Coins. ph isn't the largest exchange in the Philippines and many users only consider it as a multifunctional wallet and are mostly used in purchasing goods online, buying electronic loads, and paying bills. Most Filipinos prefer using other exchanges like Binance over it because it has too high fees. It even lists different coins each day but users still ignore them. It won't affect the price of Shib, to be honest. People are even avoiding the said exchange because it's regulated and they're strict when it comes to KYC. Shib's hype is also over in the said country.

Shiba seems have rough days and i don't really think New like this can have big effect, but ut still a good idea for this exchanges to announce news like this during market recovery because it can have some good effect and bring some users to their platform

The bearish market that has not ended has made the Shiba Inu's performance not too good, even I'm not sure this good news can make the price of
the Shiba Inu pump. But at least it will attract the attention of the Shiba Inu community in the Philippines, maybe a lot of Shiba Inu holders from
the Philippines. So these exchanges will experience an increase in the number of visitors by listing Shiba Inu, as we know Shiba Inu includes meme
coins that are very popular besides Dogecoin, there should be quite a lot of Shiba Inu holders taking advantage of this news to make short-term trades.
Usually if there are coins listed on exchanges the price will be more volatile, so usually there are whales who use it to make pump and dump.
Even so, it is still risky to trade Shiba Inu, only experienced people can make a profit from Shiba Inu in a bear market situation like this.

Coins.ph isn't an exchange but an e-wallet where users can buy, sell and pay bills using their platform. Coins Pro is the name of their exchange.

Now with regards to Coins.ph listing SHIB, it doesn't surprise me at all. Weeks ago, they listed LOOKS that only has around $200M market cap so they are just expanding through listing different altcoins. Will this listing help SHIB? I don't think so because most of us are just using Coins.ph to convert Bitcoin to fiat currency. I don't know how many is using Coins Pro but I believe there are only few that are using it.

They are planning to list SHIB but they don't have plans to list DOGE. This listing for sure doesn't have any impact on the price of SHIB at all.

It is not only Shiba that is having tough days, but the whole market as well, we are in a bear market and don't expect shiba to create hype, it will do more damage to the company rather than help it gets better.

This will be good news for users of the coins.ph platform and will not affect the price of Shiba. Shiba is currently listed on most major and reputable exchanges so news like this is nothing to behold.
