Title: Is the Mercado Bitcoin expanding to Mexico?
Post by: Robert518 on July 25, 2022, 08:55:52 AM
Bitcoin's global adoption is increasing, and Mercado Bitcoin is preparing to launch operations in Mexico.

Mercado Bitcoin, a popular Brazilian cryptocurrency exchange platform, is following the current expansion trend in the crypto sector. Mercado Bitcoin is expanding its operations in Mexico.

While the popular Bitcoin cryptocurrency has grown in popularity in various countries around the world, recent additions include the Central African Republic, which has made Bitcoin legal tender, Ukraine's use of Bitcoin as support funds, and several other countries that use crypto technologies but under strict regulations.

Furthermore, many platforms similar to Crypto.com, which offers Bitcoin exchange to different countries, and Zetrix blockchain, which uses cross-chain technology to provide smart contracts, scalability, and security services, as well as popular platforms like Binance, have facilitated these expansions. According to Cointelegraph, Mercado Bitcoin is not looking for a Mexican-based crypto exchange to operate in the country, but is instead waiting for approvals to begin operations in Mexico. Increasing competition with other cryptocurrency exchanges in the country.

You make it out like these platforms are doing Bitcoin a favour, when on the contrary, they exist cause of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.
The are also centralized, which is the opposite of that Bitcoin is, so they act as channels for governments to gain control over an unregulated system, while risking user privacy, funds and using inflated transaction prices to motivate users to store their funds with them.

The Bitcoin market in Mexico has been growing fast in the past years. And that's because one of the biggest incomes for the country are the remittances. The first half of 2022 Mexico gets $22.4B and from that money $1B was sent with Bitcoin in the platform called Bitso.

Don't even think on that because all they were doing is to "facilitate their own business expansion" they are rral time businessmen amd can go at any lent to make a good edge from their end, have you come to think about it this way that what they advertise is not only bitcoin but together with shitcoins which shouldn't be, didn't they promote all together but for their own interest? We need to sit down, think and know the differences and what's at stake.

Mercado Bitcoin is an old Brazilian exchange. It is a good one, and the second one in volume (just behind Binance).

It is indeed expanding its operations to Mexico: https://www.criptofacil.com/mercado-bitcoin-anuncia-expansao-para-o-mexico-neste-2022/

I can also add that they already made a Spanish website

About Mercado Bitcoin. Is it a good exchange? Yes, but not an amazing..
It will be very hard for them to get into Mexico markets, specially if some big exchange shows up as well (Coinbase, Binance).

Coinbase and binance are much better.

Bitcoin's global adoption is increasing, and Mercado Bitcoin is preparing to launch operations in Mexico.
My understanding is that crypto exchange platforms progress and develop, it is very decisive on the exchange itself, for example: Features and Fees they apply to attract and convince crypto users to use the platform, each exchange platform has different Features and Fees including Mercado Bitcoin.

For example:
a crypto exchange platform operating in El Salvador called Chivo, the platform was launched if I'm not mistaken in 2021, but currently the market is developing in El Salvador, we are talking crypto-adopting countries.

Other countries such as: Nigeria there are several emerging and quite popular crypto exchange platforms operating today such as Binance, Local Bitcoin and many others.
Both platforms have different Features and Costs.
Local Bitcoins:
Quote

• Helpful customer support

• Trading fee : 0.00006 BTC (~$3 USD) fixed fee per transaction
• Depositing funds: Free
• Withdrawal : Free

Binance:
Quote

• Supports 300+ cryptocurrencies
• Supports 50+ fiat currencies
• Binance Earn Features
• Binance Visa Card
• Advanced graphing tools
• Get lower fees using the exchange's native currency (Binance Coin).

Cost
• Crypto deposit fee : Free
• Fiat deposit fee : From 0% to 3.5%
• Crypto withdrawal fee : From 0% to 2.5%
• Taker Fee : From 0.04 to 0.1%
• Maker fee : From 0.02 to 0.1%
• Futures trading maker fee : 0.02%
• Futures trading taker fee : 0.04%
• Instant buy/sell trading fee : 0.5%
• Debit/credit card purchases : 4.5%

Features and Fees for crypto exchange platforms The biggest 'Factor' that can affect the development/popularity or not in the country, it can also happen to the Mercado Bitcoin exchange operating in Mexico.

if Mercado Bitcoin does something similar like the above exchange I believe they are well received in Mexico and growing, and vice versa.
