As for me I only know bitcointalk, so if I may ask, can you please provide those legit sites for confirmation?
OP you are welcome to the forum. Learning is a rigorous process as far as you follow up the forum rules then you are good to go. There is time for everything. All newbies plus me are also welcome.

I actually follow some local Telegram and FB groups in the Croatian language, so that wouldn't help you much.
As for crypto forums, I only follow this forum because it is still the most relevant place for crypto information and discussions.
What I really wanted to say is that the younger generations no longer follow Internet forums and prefer different crypto groups on social networks and Telegram, and for a long time there has been a decline in activity on this forum. I think that this trend will continue because this way of communication is clearly not interesting and attractive enough for younger generations.

Not necessarily sites, but communities. One of the biggest being Reddit's r/bitcoin and r/cryptocurrency subreddits, then crypto Twitter. Bitcointalk is the only relevant forum-style community that has decent activity as far as I know.

Op you made your thread more meaningful by dropping that link in your post and through clicking that link, every other information that is needed would be found through reading threads in the sub links. I also agree that this forum is the most useful if not the only trusted forum that you learn and earn, it community based crypto discussion is very resourceful as you journey into the world of bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

Yes including the scam attempt way of some users on how to steal or rob money from you in a completely subtle way. Yes forum is the home of learning and it doesnt end on how knowledgeable we can be off due to its importance and guidelines. However there are always an outlier to this norm which we could also learn like ways on how to avoid scam which other forums are lacking to emphasize. I think the only one confused here is actually you.
I never said that there are other crypto forums that I would recommend to new members, but other places on the internet with legitimate information. It is a general statement in response to the previously stated claim.
This is generally known information anyway, but it is better to be recommended by people who use other sites on a daily basis.
It makes no sense to claim that this forum is the only legitimate place on the Internet to learn about crypto.
In fact, mk4 already mentioned other legit crypto sites in English and I have nothing else to add. I don't see the need for overreactions.
I never make recommendations lightly, without careful thought and fact-checking.

Some sites have already been recommended and there are still many more available out there.
The forum also has a community on discord and an official Twitter account, although the later is not active.

This shows however that there are credible profiles across various platforms which makes for quality discussions, just the same way there are scams, trolls etc on all platforms (bitcointalk inclusive). You just need to filter what you listen to.

A little extra add from me about some great places for the bitcoin community. I think you can take a look at the list from these available sources: https://bitcoin.org/en/community

From the sources above I can say that bitcointalk.org is a great site for the community. Here we are not only talking about ideas, developments, trading, wallets but there are many other things that can also be discussed including politics, law and legality and this is perfect for beginners who are improving their knowledge.

Are you getting re-baptized lol. Take a look at you activity mate, you don’t need to be re-welcomed. Also you should have learnt a good yard by now to even have such post in your tank. I have advised so newbies on this matter and that is if at the time you don’t have any knowledgeable post to bring in and you feel urged or pressed to do so take that energy in researching. You would be building you mind rather than messing up you account.

Tbh, Daniel91 said "there are", he didn't say "I would recommend", so both of his answers are legit. Also, your tone was a bit snarky, which isn't nice to a senior member who has probably contributed more to this community than you ever will. Learn some manners.

You would have made it clear from your first post. Because other users are also waiting to see the sites you would have provided. In the post literally two posts above yours, mk4 mentions some of the "other forums or platforms" you could consider. And, if you need more information, you can ask nicely instead of acting like an asshole.

All newbies will definitely learn much even from this forum alone because this is just all about facts and shared information by most who have great experiences in the forum, and being biased is not possible here. Although there are a lot of resources existing nowadays to learn about crypto, but it has proven that this forum is still the most reliable and trusted source of legit information.

Let me assume you as a newbie nothing much expected from you to post as the experienced members but let me give you this as a take home, the more you grow the more the expectations required from you, meaning you can't be growing or ranking up and yet post like a newbie, to him who much is given much is expected, also i think your welcome note has nothing to benefit any newbie because all has been done much better here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5036308.0

I welcome myself and other newbies in this forum.

You are not a newbie anymore.

The topic you linked is indeed very informative for all newbies, but did you actually read it? I urge you to follow the advice given, and from now on please refrain from opening low-value topics like these:

Thanks to Bitcoin Forum (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5407839.msg60640017#msg60640017)
How many number of activities will a newbie get perday (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5407279.msg60612897#msg60612897)
Fastest profitable gambling game (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5406843.msg60593465#msg60593465)
How many threads can a newbie post daily (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5397491.msg60055018#msg60055018)
How to know if my new topic has been posted by someone before (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5397313.msg60045104#msg60045104)

You rarely ever come back and reply to these threads, which means you are not really interested in the discussion. Instead, you open new topics one after another, probably in a desperate search to get merits, which is not in line with good forum etiquette and not a good way to introduce yourself. People will easily notice this and take it to mean that you are just trolling. Do not do this. You do not have to reply to all threads. Just please keep in mind that forum discussions have to be a good balance between reading and responding to topics.

But that's not the first place newbie should be going if they want to learn more about this forum or just the basic rules because they might break some rules if they go straight posting something unrelated stuffs on that section. I agree it's a better place to learn more but there are basic and other board that has a specific topic of what the name of the board says.

This B&H section would be the best and the first place they have to visit if they wanna know more about this forum. It's not just they would learn something aside from Bitcoin since it has something to offer too since we got some people who will help them to grow and guide them to their growth.

As a newbie,I am using this opportunity to welcome you to this forum.
Even though you are registered way back May 2, 2022 sand you are 2 months old here in the forum still I say welcome to the forum,
It was funny seeing he title of this thread and the content on the other hand wasn't less disappointing to see someone actually thinking of welcoming all newbies. It's no surprising OP has bee attached to the forum for over 2months, has got 2merits to show for it and evn though the forum has ranked OP to Jr. Member, OP still thinks of himself or herself as a newbie. Well practically, from band new - Member rank could be regarded as newbies, even though we've got a specific noted rank as that.

Anyway, I think instead of creating threads such as this @OP, you should be engaged on reading more to grasps what you forum is chiefly about and then, you could come up with some new ideas out of the limitations on the threads you encounter on the forum and also some recent developments around you, in the wilder world and breaking news as well. Still, I welcome you as a newbie!

I think that this trend will continue because this way of communication is clearly not interesting and attractive enough for younger generations.

It's a matter of taste. For example, I do not trust telegram channels at all. What do they have? How long will they live? Is there at least one channel that compares to the forum? Is there a history to the free access of such channels?

I prefer the complete library over clippings from articles, as with these channels. This is something like real food and its likeness. The whole point for the owner of the telegram channel groups is to gain the number of subscribers and cut down on the same amount of money.

The youth you are talking about are hanging out in other venues, just lazily. There are, of course, rules that are not to everyone's taste.

But again, I'm not insisting. Tastes could not be discussed.

Yes, you should try and respond or reply after useful information and contributions have been given to your thread by other forum members it's not by force though but it shows that you are also reading the information given. PS, I will advise you to focus more on reading threads on Beginners and help here as the information given here will help and educate you on the necessary things you need to know as a newbie, especially things that will help you to grow and increase your Bitcoin knowledge because I believe having more useful information about bitcoin is what determines the growth of a newbie.

Do not forget to always read and follow the rules just in case you are not informed about it and read more, make more exploration before you do any businesses here in the forum to avoid being scammed.

You are not following your own advice, look at your post history, all you have there is bounty reports, even after you made this post you went right back into the bounty section of the forum, i am surprised as to the the fact that you are aware there are much better things to gain in the forum than bounties, but you just can't stop it. Well it remains your decision, but at least if you must advise others, you should start by being that 'change' yourself.

OP from this post of yours makes me understand fully well the impact this forum creates on someone's life when involved with the post and comments of the forum. Inasmuch as I can tell, there's much to learn in this forum if you get yourself acquainted with the forum rules and regulations. The forum is divided into several sub-boards which makes it versatile in knowledge and unique compared to other crypto-related forums.

By "blocked" do you mean banned? If so, getting banned for a regular person should not really be that easy, although some may inadvertently come close to it specially during their initial days where one is unaware or unsure about some of the rules (or even the fact that there are rules).

As to posts being deleted because of a different point of view from the thread owner (starter), that may perhaps happen in some self-moderated threads, where the thread started may delete posts as per his own criteria, although it shouldn’t be a norm. You could chose to not participate in self-moderated threads (a barely do).

On the other hand, if some of your posts get deleted from regular threads (those that are not self-moderated), it means that someone likely reported it for one reason or another, be it the thread starter or not, and that a moderator agreed to act on the post based on the report. A difference in opinion won’t qualify for the post to be deleted, but rather, more often than not, a lack of substance in the content of the post will.

This forum was the first online place to discuss Bitcoin, 13 years ago, started by Satoshi, the creator of Bitcoin.
However, a lot of time has passed and today there are many other legitimate places on the Internet to discuss crypto and this forum is no longer an exclusive place for crypto discussions.
After all, today's young people use other ways of online communication much more, such as Telegram groups, social networks etc.
However, regardless of a lot of channels that would be a source of information for crypto, I would say this forum will always be the most legit and reliable source of crypto information. And for newbies, this is not just a forum where you start to learn, but more on a home for everyone here that aims to see growth and development in terms of crypto knowledge and experiences.

Welcome, OP!
As much as I appreciate you welcoming newer users registering in this forum, I would just advise you to not create thread like this since I do not think it is necessary in the first place.
It is a good thing that you somehow share the welcome posts that you read.
We can wrap up this thread by locking it, so no more further replies would be made as I feel that there is nothing to be discussed in here at the moment.

Re the topic: it is unusual for someone to be a “newbie” about bitcoin anymore. There are many people who know about bitcoin that are not on the forum for a variety of reasons. Some of these people will eventually register on the forum and their forum rank will be “newbie”, but this is not reflective of their knowledge.

I came to this forum not so long ago, but I have already learned a lot of pitfalls of cryptocurrency, exchanges and security. I don't think there is another place where so much collective experience is aggregated as here.

With the normal circumstances, any registered user found in this community of bitcointalk are welcomed. But from my perspective, it's not all the registered newbies are curious to comprehend or learn the basic things concerning cryptocurrency and especially bitcoin, so those of the newbies who are curious to know bitcoin and are ready to in search for the projection of bitcoin through their response are the one's that deserves welcome, from my perspective.
