Welcome to the forum.
Please, be aware that most of people around here are very careful when someone (specially a new account) sends a link, since we have had cases of fishing in the past (and present), next time try to contact someone with a established reputation on the forum so they can check the link/survey and and sponsor/endorse you, if possible.

Just my opinion.

OP's initiative deserves a praise. When he finishes writing his dissertation aboiut bitcoin, I would like to see the result of his work here on this forum. I guess the community will be curious to see a full dissertation about bitcoin. I could be wrong, but it seems that there hasn't been a bitcoin dissertation written in so many years of existence, at least in this forum, which I think is unfair. An analysis of the bitcoin phenomenon from a scientific point of view would be an amazing event that can dispel the doubts of those who doubt this technology.

Also, I think that it would be better if OP publishes his questions here (many on the bitcointalk would not like to click on unknown links) and doesn't disappear after his only post.

I appreciate what you are doing, instead of doing research for random people you can actually say it is quite appropriate to do this in the forum because this will indeed be in accordance with the goals you want to aim for.
But on the other hand as @Hispo said there are several people and that includes me who is very careful when there are things like this and the suggestion that @m2017 also I think can be used as another material for the OP if he is really serious about doing this this doesn't just create a thread after it's just abandoned.

Yeah it would be at least safe for everyone even if the OP does not have malicious intent. Posting it in here with bullet points should at least be sufficient enough and making it self-moderated would make the thread clean and in order and away from spams.
I had done some similar study before though I did not conduct any survey here. It was somehow...partially successful dissertation at least.
Wishing luck to OP's study!

This is awesome. I love researches because when done well, it advances knowledge in the society. I'd advise the OP to also gather qualitative data as well. The power of mixed method research is that you will be able to explore all the sides of your research question(s), there by giving you the ability to uncover and explore the different opinions of your sample population. By the way we're hoping to know what the result outcome and conclusion of the study will be. Goodluck.

I am very enthusiastic about surveys like this and at the end of the survey, if possible the OP displays the results in a simpler and more concise manner, and also try to survey those who are unfamiliar with bitcoin to what extent, interest, know, and their opinion about bitcoin

30. Are you usually attracted to risky activities or behavior like gambling?
I don't think it's right to ask this since bitcoin is already more than a decade old. Buying BTC can be hardly called gambling on a certain asset now. Maybe on some tokens that pops up on a bullrun or those riding the popularity of bitcoin.

You'll most likely get the number 3 to 5 filled for this question since there are many members here who play at crypto casinos hehe.

As long its a google link its actually safe, although still need to check.

Although i appreciate the study/output you're trying to achieve, but i can see the case here is not everyone use google especially when there is an email/data submission for privacy purposes.

It would be better if OP make an alternative survey link that doesnt required any info like email (if there is).

Edit: seems it doesn't required any email submitting the form. Anyway, i hope you get more respond on this forum to fill your survey.

just a suggestion, if you haven't, I suggest posting this on other bitcoin forums as well if you want to get as many answers as possible for your survey.

I'm confused, I took the survey using incognito and was still able to do the survey and submit it. will the OP get the answer I gave on the survey?

Oooof, i said things when i first visited the link, since there is a "*required" label below the email. So i did try to fill all the questions and submit it without requiring email in private mode. So yeah, you are right.

This is a pretty good thing and indeed you are in the right place to do this, I have seen the survey you did there. That's very good, and indeed the relationship is still very close and in accordance with the dissertation you made, but it seems that in your question number 30 it is not very relevant to the research you are doing because we also have to be able to distinguish between Investment, Trading and Gambling.
When your focus is on bitcoin which comes from investing and trading, then indeed this cannot be related to gambling because it is clearly something different.

Okay, it wasn't my intention but if this was a dissertation why can I leave answers on the second-page blank? Originally didn't notice but my dumbass at the last question missed the choice I picked and auto-moved to the next button which finished the survey. There's also the fact that I seem to be able to fill it up again, which afaik should be possible to be disabled. Might've needed google sign in but from what I know, as long as the email isn't a question itself then it wouldn't save the email as part of the response. I think the form itself checks whether you've answered the form and has its own storage of users who answered (Do correct me if I'm wrong).

you have come to the right place, the forum is a place specializing in bitcoin, hope my answers and those of experienced people here will be of some help for your upcoming thesis
i really appreciate your ideas, again, good luck with your thesis

I am more interested if what is the reaction of his prof and his classmates when they found out that the subject of his dissertation is about bitcoin. If they didn't heard it yet, they will get curious and maybe they will research about it. This can be an indirect way of advertising or spreading the word bitcoin which I like.

Why it's unfair when someone don't use bitcoin on their dissertation? I think they are only scared if what will their teachers think about it especially if they live in a country where bitcoin is not legalized. It's not big deal though in my opinion if they will use btc or not. Btc adoption can still grow in other ways if that is what you want.

Your comment made me recall when I first did a title proposal to our professor in our university. The first thought of my professor was that we were going to use cryptocurrency to gamble and that would be one of our scopes and limitation of our study, but I kindly said no to him, lol. It was still approved at the end of the day, but the process of doing the study itself was hell since there were not a lot of samples to gather around my area at that time and usually we only resorted to online surveys.

Since OP is already conducting a survey, I am pretty sure that his/her/their title was already approved otherwise no such thread would be made at all.
