What do you buy/want to buy with crypto? I myself buy services sometimes, and crypto miners.

I've put a few options on the poll that I'm exploring, feel free to vote, but would love to hear your thoughts too.

We're currently trialling it as a private BETA in Melbourne, Australia, and now, we're looking to open our service up a bit more to the public. btw, this is just my suggestion, forget about mining crypto with a machine, it will only make you dizzy. Do stock assets.

Yes compliance & regulatory requirements is definitely a challenge, we actually partnered with a company who handles our payments (crypto and fiat) & legal obligations for us, since they already have licenses in several parts of the world.

As for overseas shipments, not at the moment, but primarily because of logistical reasons. We want timely deliveries, so we only accept deliveries within Australia for now (it makes it easier to manage for the time being). What country are you from by the way?

Oh yes agreed with the mining, we decided to take that off too, just need to update our site. The idea behind it was to promote the concept of "spend from what you earn", as in we wanted to introduce crypto mining onto our platform as one of the ways we help users earn, to then either cashout or use on our platform.

We decided this was too complicated, so instead we'll be using other investment opportunities to help our users earn. At the moment, just giving interest on deposited assets.

I currently have no problem with not being able to spend crypto on almost anything I can think of when it comes to my country or within the EU where there are no customs duties and delivery is relatively fast. Therefore, I don't see much sense in ordering anything from outside the EU, because it significantly increases the price of the product due to customs and delivery, and also means a longer waiting time for the product to arrive.

Somehow it seems to me that such business ventures should be focused on the national market, although this does not prevent anyone from trying to expand internationally, but first it would be good to succeed on the domestic market.

Maybe add more crypto-related things that locals would usually get overseas e.g. steel plates for seed backups?--best to become an official retailer of some brands-- it gives your platform an edge since locals would save on the shipping cost. Offering discounts for other stuff could encourage people to opt for crypto payments as well.

AFAICR, I haven't seen a dedicated Australian marketplace for buying/selling collectible items in this field <sup>[if you check the "Collectibles (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=217.0)" board, you'll see how cool most of the items are].

I want to buy food and pay my bills with cryptocurrency. This way 90% of my expenses can be paid without being necessary to swap crypto into fiat first, therefore I can almost completely eliminate fiat usage from my daily life, while also eliminating the fees I have to pay when exchanging money and transacting it from one place to another.
Another kinds of products are also interesting to pay with crypto, although their impact in life is tiny, since I make such purchases very rarely.

Since cryptocurrencies are conceived as full-fledged electronic money, they should have the function of ordinary money - payment for any goods and services without restrictions on certain types or categories. Almost every person in the world has a smartphone that allows to receive or send payment in the form of crypto, that is, technically, there are no obstacles to making per-to-per transfers, not to mention stores or retail chains. If you ask me what cryptocurrencies I want to buy and what I want to sell, then your options will be small for me . In a word, I want to buy and sell all the things I need by through cryptocurrency, because currently I have to convert my crypto currencies to fiat to buy all those things. So it is better for me that I can do all the transactions  in Cryptocurrencies what I needed .

No mate, he isn't asking if what cryptos do we want to buy but he asks if what do we want to buy with our cryptos or the profits that we could get on them. And how can you say that his options are small for you when he already have luxury items and miners on the poll list? Do you think they are small/cheap? Well, think again.

If you're in a place where cryptos are not a legal tender and there is only less to no merchants that accepts crypto, well yes you need to convert your cryptos first to fiat before you can be able to use them however there's also crypto cards which supports visa, mastercard and others. You can also swipe your card to pay directly on supported merchants.

But you only got 5 votes here including mine (I voted others), which means people here didn't want to spend their Bitcoin for those things above.  They want to store value and convert it when there's an increase in the market, this was what holders usually do.

It's really a great platform. I want to buy a BMW MINI for my wife. She loves the style and cuteness of the BMW MINI. I also think it is very suitable for my lovely wife. But I think it may not be as convenient as buying in reality...

I can pay phone bills or buy Starbucks coffee, which is what I need every day. I think more and more retailers are willing to accept cryptocurrency payments, and this has already been realized, and it can already be used as our daily payment method.

Well, I don't think that would be a potential one, because mining depends on which country you are in.
Here in my place, the crypto mining business is not worth it because the electricity bill is too expensive --which I think is good if you are in cold places like Russia, Finland, or even in Iceland thank surely the cooling system is not needed.
For me? I will buy assets or stocks that will generate profit aside from crypto. That would be the best investment that come from crypto.

It's a nice initiative and that's definitely how sme big brands are built by coming up to be pioneers to what could be a trend I the near future. This is a big mistake if you still store your Bitcoin on that shady exchange, though they're one of the oldest exchanges it seems like they're selectively scamming their users by locking and freezing users' accounts.  The private key isn't with you, it's not totally safe at all.
I have heard also they have high fees when trading your coin in their wallet which is not really good.

But that's good, holding your Bitcoin while there's a bear market is a wise decision.
Good thing there's an online store that directly accepts Bitcoin in your place, in my place, I didn't try this.

Well to answer your question, I buy most electronics and electrical appliances with bitcoins. In my country, there's no option yet to pay real estate with bitcoin unless the person is your friend.

People who work in cryptocurrency never invest in anything other than cryptocurrency. I will invest Bitcoin if I can own a lot of money from this crypto currency. Later, if I own a lot of money from that investment, I will build a shopping mall. I will continue my family life with the income from the shopping mall and I will strengthen my investments with the income from my cryptocurrency.

I give 1 vote in the pool (hopefully it's useful for your research). I support your plan and business to sell goods by accepting payments via bitcoin and crypto, but the obstacle in my opinion is the name of your site, I'm sure there will be many people who will make misspell your site name. hopefully, there will be a revision in the future (just a suggestion).


building a retail business or shopping mall that accepts payments via crypto is not an easy matter, you must have good management skills, it's better to start slowly from the bottom so you can find a good business model for your plan, good luck in the future.

It will be very helpful to buy goods that we like to have but not available in our country. I like to DIY many things and sometime lack on products which are not available in my country and have to import them from overseas. And the payment system that requires your bank and card information, I don't trust them and there's always chance of getting hacked by hackers.
To me crypto payment is the very secure and if you take proper precaution, it is nearly impossible to track that information back to you.
And also other things that are available in our surrounding. I would like to buy them too. 

There are lots of things on my mind right now which I can easy get with fiat money though I wish to experience feeling of purchasing any item at all using cryptocurrency but haven't gotten an opportunity yet to do so due to the location I am and how the policy here is not crypto favoured.
But should such come to be, I'll love to buy a landed property (estate) using crypto and I believe the process will be less stressful to transact when compared with using fiat due to the amount that would be need to purchase such estate as I desire someday.

In theory, and this is impossible based on the premise of this post, but I'd like to spend crypto at a restaurant and have the restaurant not auto-convert but keep that crypto.

If places auto-convert, I at that point really could care less if the point of sale is via fiat or crypto if it all goes to fiat anyway.

Good initiative by you but only a state or place isn't sufficient to get proper opinions. You should open for all over the world because demography plays a vital role about the perception of people. In this digital world, people will use digital currency and it is natural. It saves money, time and energy. Besides it is the way to get profit on its investment.

Crypto has really matured and at this point we have several supporting product and services that make spending crypto super easy and won't restrict you to certain items only :) with a crypto debit card you could pretty much get whatever you desire only with a few hurdles were it comes to cash only transactions, otherwise am about electronics or paying for a service without giving personal information to a platform.

Not so much merchant accepting bitcoin on my area so what I want is adoption of this currency first so that I can use it easily wherever I go here.

But for now I only use this for investment since I jut use it to increase my funds then convert it to fiat before I can transact it especially offline merchants or people.

Does your online store provide worldwide shipping? That's the most important because more and more buyers will shop at your online store.

I want to utilize cryptocurrencies to buy food and pay my bills. Many products can be purchased through digital currencies, especially in countries that are very developed and in countries where other digital currencies including Bitcoin are valid. Good for you, I guess. Not everyone become able or earn enough from cryptocurrencies to be able to buy all the stuff that you've always wished for. I can imagine the level of satisfaction one gets when their family gets their dreams fulfilled due to them. You are one of those luckiest people on earth.

My personal goals and dreams are pretty big which I'm not entirely sure if I can fulfill only with Bitcoin, but it does give it a very good boost and also gives me a sort of relief since I know my money is not in the hands of a wrong person or thing.

This website is ok for me, it is beautiful and there are three options to choose which currency you want to use for payment as bitcoin, Ethereum, and Usdc. I hope other online shops will have it.

I have a lot of wish that I can buy some products with crypto currency. But in the country where I live there is no such facility that I will transact through digital currency. In other words, even though there is a digital banking system, there is no system for Crypto currency transactions, so even if I want to, I cannot do transactions through Crypto currencies. But I am hopeful that the government of my country will soon use Crypto currency as one of the means of transaction along with digital banking. If that happens then I will buy a bike and trade that bike with Crypto currency.

They did create a platform but as it seems, they got a lot of work to do to really make it work and attract users towards it. The web layout and design both need upgrades or at least some touch-ups, some of the buttons and stuff don't really look nice to the eye, especially the ones in the header along with social media links.

If they really want to run this service and want to attract more users and buyers and sellers for their marketplace, they will have to make a lot of changes very quickly. Even if it's in private beta, it's still not ready.

Sacastical statement, because ops already mention the logistic problem and their services are not outside Australia so I am very much sure your dream of buying a BMW mini for your wife on this site may not come true anytime soon since you will have to wait for their international shipment to begin unless you leave or want to relocate to Australia before placing your other.

Crypto payments are currently not just to buy Coffee or anything else. Currently virtual currency is used in various shopping malls including restaurants and all goods are paid in bitcoins. Virtual currency is gaining immense popularity among people in daily life. and payment in cryptocurrency offers many benefits for which people are now choosing the virtual world. I think in future this virtual market will gain more popularity all over the world.

Whatever you plan to buy offline using Bitcoin you need to swap the Bitcoin into Fiat, there is no car dealers in my country that accepts Bitcoin, there are no house sellers that accept Bitcoin either, unless I swap bitcoin into Fiat, I think Bitcoin hasn't really get to that level of general acceptance throughout the world, it's going to take a much longer time to see this happen.

By virtual currency, do you mean cryptocurrency? Because I don't really think that cryptocurrencies are used so widely at the moment, maybe at some places in some countries around the world, but we don't really have a lot of options or places where we can buy food or goods and pay with Bitcoins or any other cryptocurrency.

Global adoption is yet to come, currently, only people know and use Bitcoin, and vendors and businesses are not really into it except for some of them some also use it as an investment for their extra funds but they are not yet interested in accepting it as a payment for their products and services.

I want to pay with Bitcoin for all the things that I need in my daily life and for the things that I pay through paper money or digital banking. But as there is no such facility in our country, I am still waiting. For example I ordered a pizza online and I want to pay the pizza bill through Bitcoin. Or I went shopping now usually after shopping we pay by card and cash but if there is such a system that payment can be made through bitcoin then of course I will make that payment through bitcoin. Hopefully that time will come soon.

The question is not about what you can do or buy with cryptocurrencies, but it is about what you want to buy with it, and to be honest, though the desires of every individual differ from each other, there aren't actually a lot of options available for anyone to fulfill their wishes even if they have the money required to buy the things they want.

For now, if someone has enough cryptocurrencies to buy something that they wished for, the only option they have is to convert them to fiat and then use that money to complete their wish, or they can wait until cryptocurrencies are accepted worldwide for them to be able to purchase that thing.

It is not enough to just dream, but there are steps to be taken to make your dreams come true.  It's not bad that you dream of buying a house with bitcoins, but you need to move on to how to make your dreams come true.  Someone dreams of investing and building a house, while someone dreams of trading and doing something. Which one do you want to do?
Since digital currency including bitcoin is completely illegal in the country you live in and there is no possibility to buy house or car with digital currency so you can convert bitcoin to your country currency and then buy house or car if you want.  Because in countries where digital currencies including Bitcoin are illegal, you may be in danger if you transact with Bitcoin.

Converting Bitcoin or other cryptocurency to cash then use the cash to purchase what you wanted won't give you the same feeling and satisfaction like buying something directly with Bitcoin. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think when government bans the use of Bitcoin or cryptocurencies in a country, they're referring to the general acceptance or it been recognized as a legal tender in the country.
But that doesn't stop a personal business owners from accepting it off the books. We have Bitcoin users in your country that'll be willing to accept Bitcoin as a form of payment off the record so just look for those people that sells what you're willing to buy with Bitcoin and they can be of help.
You can make a thread on the forum and members in your country can help you out by linking you to persons you can buy these things from and pay in Bitcoin. Nobody should be denied the privilege of using Bitcoin to buy things, it's just sad hearing that.

I mean, you could be right, but in some countries where bitcoin is banned, if the government finds out that you have bitcoin or use it to buy things, you could run into problems and could even get you to jail. I've heard this from a friend who lives in a third world country. It's still risky to use bitcoin when it's already been banned by the government. However, I'm pretty sure many people still use it and hide it from the authorities.


All of that should be kept really private and between individuals, without any involvement from third parties, I mean in countries where cryptocurrencies are banned by the government.

If I want to buy something with cryptocurrency it will benefit me the most. Because if I want to buy something then I need fiat money, in that case I have to sell crypto currencies and later convert them to fiat currency. And if I can buy essentials and products through cryptocurrency then it will be best for me. However, there are many people in this forum who invest in various products with virtual currency in countries where cryptocurrency is legal. But in the country where I live cryptocurrency is illegal that's why I can't buy any product with virtual currency but my dream is that one day I will also buy different products using virtual currency.

Bitcoin transactions are not accepted in all countries of the world. Even in my country I can never do any transaction with Bitcoin because here it is a crime to do Bitcoin transaction. But Dubai is a developed state where everything from products to various payments and transactions are allowed by cryptocurrency. Another developed country that has become very popular in the world today is El Salvador which has officially approved Bitcoin. And since EL Salvador accepts most transactions in Bitcoin, everything has the advantage of doing Bitcoin transactions. EL Salvador is the first country to officially accept Bitcoin. And plans are underway to establish a Bitcoin tower in Dubai. Developed countries have access to Bitcoin transactions but developing countries do not. But some countries are currently moving positively towards Bitcoin. A few days ago I heard that the government of Bhutan is planning to officially accept Bitcoin in their country. Currently developing countries or developed countries are trying to get involved with Bitcoin. I don't know which country you live in but I believe after few years you will be able to do bitcoin transactions in your country.

Many countries are taking step to accept BTC. some countries installed BTC ATM and citizens can easily Withdraw btc payment from these ATM. Unfortunately some Asian devolping countries (China, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh) are not positive toward crypto and citizens are not allowed to freely buy and sell btc and they use third party service for this. Government cannot completely banned crypto transaction and i hope in some years every government will accept this technology and will adopt it.

Adoption happen to El Salvador is so good since it opens so many possibilities for other country to accept this coin since they let other country to see what good development happened to them after they accept bitcoin on their country. For sure this scores positive and we might see more countries to adopt or announce that they make it as their legal tender to. To tell you truth my vision is currently to accumulate bitcoin as much as I can and not spend it. If you trust bitcoin and it's future, you won't be willing to spend it in these cheap prices.

Secondly those people think that since bitcoin is not legal in some countries, it would be difficult to spend , this is not the case. You can always convert your bitcoin into fiat and then buy whatever you want. Spending bitcoin is not a problem , the real focus should be to accumulate bitcoins.

Are you seriously earning constant profits from cryptocurrency gambling to be able to pay mortgages for the houses you've bought? Is that what you mean by that? If so, you must be pretty lucky because not everyone can get enough money as profit from gambling to be able to pay mortgages for their properties or to spend on things they want to buy with cryptocurrencies, only the luckiest people can be able to do that.

That being said, since you said that you get profit from betting houses and then convert it to dollars and pay for the commercial houses, I don't really think that counts as buying things with crypto, it would count if you were paying those mortgages with a cryptocurrency just like how people do in Portugal.

There are may of the online stores that have not started accepting Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency but I hope with time things are going to change hand. I find it easier to purchase goods online using cryptocurrency which is what I normally look for when I want to buy something from an online store. It keep me safe buying with cryptocurrency than having to drop my credit card details to online retailers which is very risky to me and they can even deduct more funds as time goes on without permission.

That is exactly what I was thinking about, how can a person get constant profits from gambling when the whole concept of gambling is based on luck, and one cannot stay lucky all the time, no strategy, no planning, nothing can maximize the chances of one winning more in gambling and reducing the losses, so someone thinking they might be able to earn profits from gambling every day is simply deceiving themselves or not understanding the concept of gambling.

Anyway, why are you converting your cryptocurrencies to fiat for saving? Isn't it better if you have them in Bitcoin considering the price of Bitcoin isn't so high at the moment and we have the halving event coming up next year? IMO, the poll should give you the option to mark more than only one answer, although I don't buy nor would like to buy the items listed among the offered.

In my case, I would like to buy basic necessities such as food, utility bills... yes, dreams of a poor man, but I don't think that Satoshi invented Bitcoin to allow you buy yachts more conveniently. And I'm not a child anymore either, so I'm not interested in buying expensive toys for adults like lambos.

So, among the listed, I would select lingerie (hardly ever) and electronics (just electronics, not crypto miners), so my selection was "Other".

That would be an amazing day when online e-commerce marketplaces such as Amazon will start accepting cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin for payment so that one can be able to buy almost anything they want with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies that they have. I know that one can do that by buying gift cards with Bitcoin and then using those cards for purchasing items at online stores like Amazon but that is not as fun as paying directly with Bitcoin from your wallet.

All of us who are involved with Bitcoin probably have some dream that they will buy something with their Bitcoin. Many people dream of buying a luxurious car with Bitcoin, and many people dream of buying daily necessities with Bitcoin, but due to the different governments of different countries taking different decisions regarding Bitcoin transactions, this opportunity does not become available to the general public. What happened in Portugal was only due to the single decision of those two gentlemen. According to them, if it is possible to buy something in combination with two people and if the medium of transaction is Bitcoin, then it is possible to complete the purchase and sale of something through Bitcoin.

I don’t buy much with cryptocurrency yet, unless you count dollar stablecoins as cryptocurrency, of course. But mostly I pay for VPN services when it’s relevant for me. You know, many VPN services allow payment with cryptocurrency and even offer discounts for this form of payment. It’s good that there are anonymous VPN services that do not require passport data. I know that many people participating in retrodrops pay with Bitcoin for the accounts they buy. Twitter accounts, for example. Also sometimes accounts on centralized exchanges, which may not be available in some countries. I also knew a man who bought a used car with bitcoins.

Well, there are places where we can spend our bitcoins to get some services or products, but those are very limited to our overall needs and usually we have to spend fiat in order to meet our daily needs, equipment's and services. If I can get involved in local business from my country, I can live my life in a lot of mobility.
