Yes, you can still use the address to receive funds as many times as you want. It's the request that expires and not the address.

The only reason you many may decide not to reuse a bitcoin address for transaction again is for privacy reason, address do not expire.

You can always received Bitcoin using your previous address, Actually you can still browse all your previous address on electrum wallet option under addresses and that address is still belongs to your private key. The word expiration is for the privacy purposes which charles already explained above.

Pro tip: Electrum usually has a "tooltip" on its features which provide sufficient explanations about that feature.
So if you ever need to be sure about a feature in the near future, try to find a "?" in that particular window/tab.

For example, the "Expires after (?)" is a tooltip itself (expressed with '?') and it's clickable;
when clicked, this tooltip will be displayed:

The expiration date feature has nothing to do and do not affect users privacy. It's not stored in the transaction or in the blockchain. It's just a local note that only you and the one you share the payment request with can see.
Due to the price volatility, this feature can be very useful for merchants who need to mark an order as failed if they don't receive the payment within a specified time.

That is a nice answer. Address never expire in any day but the request, date and time expires. It is just like the OTP code from fiat bank to the bank address owner. The OTP expires but the bank address never expires. The expiring process is also used to secure the coin. But if you are using fiat bank in your country, you would have understand these things.
