Solana quickly became a favorite among many investors, Does it became the next Ethereum ??? ??? ???

Solana is a VC-funded business, while Ethereum is more akin to a protocol, a la Bitcoin.

If you put any stock in Satoshi's vision of cryptocurrency supporting decentralization, censorship resistance, and freedom, etc., there is no comparison between Solana (or Ripple, Binance, etc.) and Ethereum

Solana is conventional finance with a "crypto" veneer. Ethereum was a good-faith, second step expanding upon Satoshi's vision.

It doenst go down because the cut of the pie of their tokens are mostly hold by big whales and Sam. Even a lot of retailers have sold solana,  the price wouldnt plummeted easily,  since of the bigger holders just chilling and let their shares double and increase with thr dumped.

If talking about product or network,  I assume you see solana gad multiple break down or crash network reason to halt it for long time which isnt good if I am an investors.  Showing how centralized it is and can be control by someone.

Venture capital who backed it is making it become hyped. Solana was an ordinary blockchain. No reason for this blockchain to be the next ethereum and you shall stop with this kind of gimmick. A blockchain will not kill another blockchain. You must know that if what you have been talking above was not even true. Solana has become alternative blockchain for ethereum and this is the fact that happened in the market. There's no need to call ethereum killer anymore.

Solana has become the best alternative blockchain for ethereum although if that was always getting shortage that makes the blockchaing gets down. Why are you looking for next ethereum if solana has reached a very big market cap as a blockchain?
I think that it's actually clueless. Solana was a major blockchain actively used by so many dapps and that's the same like ethereum. Solana was also first layer blockchain.

I used to think it could but the network has had so much interruption & too many problems. I just don’t think it’s possible now. Investor confidence must be at a huge low regarding SOL. I do own some @ I want to think it could be an ETH killer but no, not for me. 

One of the reasons why I consider Solana a good buy was because of the fact that several projects were launched on the platform and that gave me a reason to hold some of it. Solana is a great project, but it's not to be compared with ethereum, owing to the fact that ethereum has come a long way as has the support of a larger community.

I don't think that will happen and the Solana network sometimes has this problem not sure it will precede Ethereum but as an alternative network there are still many who use this network but not only Solana there are many other networks that I think are more above Solana and still Ethereum is wrong one of the best because lots of coins are in this network Ethereum should still be on top.

Do you still believe in Solana and its ecosystem? I think this also needs to be supported but it doesn't need to be compared to the next Ethereum because it's not possible.

Solana, Polkadot, Near won't be a next Ethereum. It is like Ethereum won't be a next Bitcoin.

Technologies are different and they are blockchain-based projects that are created and grown at very different periods of blockchain industry and cryptocurrency market.

New projects will run marketing and their communities will shill their projects as next big things. Fact is bitterly different. Even a good project will have ups and downs, will be tested by market and hackers. Lot of challenge for any new project bht to conclude, Solana won't be a next Ethereum, never be.

For me yes because the solona is one of the best network to use in alts transaction for me solana have a potential to be a next ethreum thats why ill still hold sol and waiting for the next big moves

Solana is now the choice of most of crypto fans, it is quickly expanding and is most of the popular coin these days. Investment in Solana is beneficial, because as compared to ethereum it has the lowest gas fees and is also desirable coin. I know ethereum is all of the best coin, Solana cannot overtake ethereum, and also investment in solana is full of hazards in contrast to ethereum. But it is assumed that in coming years solana will be enhanced more in worth and can be more advantageous.

Next Ethereum in what sense? It’s not possible If you are thinking about the marketcap or ranking alone but Ethereum might be the next Solana if being centralized is what you are thinking when creating this thread because of the merge which will convert pow to pos consensus mechanism.

Solana is already surrounded by many shady activities and failure blockchain. There centralized feature back fire to them when the problem starts to occur on there central system.

Without layer 2, no chance for Sol to complete with ETH or even try to mimic the next ETH. If you don't know the difference between layer 2 ETH and layer 1 Sol then I suggest you should research this topic to broaden your view on how Sol works. This isn't taking into account another thing that ETH has miles ahead of Sol in every category.

SOL has potential future but I don't think that SOL will be next Ethereum. People who are connected with crypto currency know about Ethereum very well and Ethereum has a separate community. SOL is still growing and I hope we will be able to see good move from it.

It's funny how people compare altcoins. Solana can't be the next Ethereum because we've seen instances where Solana turns off and on lol. Ethereum remains the number one altcoin, deal with it.

Solana has been crashing so often, it's not very robust and I'm still not sure, why Solana is still so famous because it's tech is not very good. Especially against Ethereum, Solana has not a chance.
Ethereum is huge and such a weak coin like Solana has not a change against Ethereum.
Just imagine if Ethereum is crashing for several hours, it would be a desaster.

Solana had network issues and this year alone the entire network went down multiple times and for a promising network, it is not a great prospect to make them the favorite investment  :P. Does Ethereum have the opportunity to become the next Solana should be the question asked now a days because a major migration is coming up in ETH from POW to POS and will see whether it will have any network outages as well .

solana many times face same problem in this year and ofcourse their developtment team must do something to solved it, but i am not sure ethereum will face same problem after migrate to POW. the developtment was not about algorithm only , but as i know sharding will applied to . this feature will boost transaction speed due blocksize resize.

MIght say it was one of the favorites among altcoins but never put to the extent that it will be the next ETH. Solana still has a lot of things that need to prove its potentiality, not unlike ETH which has been so long in the market and people know how useful it was. But because of the market competition and fees, many projects are able to pop up and even compete with ETH. However, it was a design that ETH is hard to beat by any altcoins - it was still dominating altcoins.

Considering one of Ethereum's killers is Solana.  There are too many of them who compete with Ethereum but I think IMO, Ethereum is still a unique one.
It's far from its other Ethereum using PoW while Solana uses PoH, though when it comes to fee, those Ethereum killers including Solana really have an advantage.

When it comes to investment, I think it would be the best if you'll choose them all, Solana has been proven that shows significant growth last year and it could be next year but I don't it will surpass Ethereum.  There's should be more technical innovation on Ethereum than these Ethereum killers which I believe.

I also think that SOL is really potential. This becomes one of the top options with high electability and speed in the crypto network. This is interesting enough because Solana has high features with advanced technology that will of course offer high interest on the investor,s moreover for the long term.
Many people say that Solana can be a strong competitor of Ethereum. However, with the progress and the future of Ethereum 2.0, it may be much better and will not let Solana take its place. SOL may not be the biggest threat for ETH right now, but yes, I do agree that it has potential to do great in the market. instead of investing in meme tokens, investing in SOL is much better in my opinion. but it is still a long way to go for SOL to catch up with ETH. ETH dev team has already established their reputation. but SOL is still in the early stage of attracting new projects. we will see if the projects are satisfied with SOL network if they will continue to use it.

There was a time when Solana was considered a competitor to Ethereum, but that is not the case anymore. In addition to Sol, I've seen that no one is going to be the next Ethereum.

That's not easy Solana will not be able to replace Ethereum in future. We can't expected or predicting what happen at the future, but in cryptocurrency always have ability reach to higher price more than 100% from ICO sale, I think what ethereum price of first time pre sale launch have reach drastically pump and Solana exactly have reach higher price too. Ever I got an airdrop from Solana coin when price still under $2, but right now Solana ever touch all time high price more than $250, but right now Solana coin drop drastically under $40 and I think looks little difficult for Solana can e the next ethereum, how ever have bigger different price between Solana and ethereum right now. This cannot be used as an excuse for Solana to be better than Ethereum because Ethereum itself is still very popular with investors and traders in the market.

because Solana was designed to be able to compete with Ethereum in the future,

SOLana may be designed to become like ETH but not for the purpose of beating it. I'd see no problem having such a huge competition between SOL and ETH but not to the extent of seeing them and fighting who gonna be on top among altcoins. But that was the not scenario I was thinking about. BNB will retain its position and also ETH. Developers won't let that way too easy for the Solana project to beat the big 2 projects that have already been well-establish and already gained huge trust from the community. It only appears that Solan will just be next to them and I think, that was enough.

Emotions never really allowed in trading business. Ether and Solana  both are good projects but when comparing these two, Ether is definitely ahead. Well, SOL is passing the same road that ETH did back in the day. What we have right now is about 2016 or so ETH that is live with 2022 SOL if you ask me. That means, in 6 years, ETH will be in MUCH better place, and SOL will be where ETH is today. I agree it's a good blockchain with technological improvement but the Sol team was too hasty in their development, so they keep crashing and it's almost impossible to fix right now. There was a time in which a lot of people thought that cardano had a real chance to take the place of ethereum as the second-best coin in the market, however the performance of the developers of cardano has been abysmal to say the least.

My answer will be " Absolutely Not". Solona ha so many issue and I fear that it will go down more. They make huge success in 2021 but after reaching ATH their network suffer many problem. Now once again we saw massive down in price which show the weakness Sol network.
There is no Ethereum killer so far and will more powerful after Ethereum merge. In future may be any chain make history but still market need Ethereum in high demand than any other chain.

The BNB was in the queue already and the ADA and Matic was on the way towards the Ethereum.Solana was not had huge amount of investment and investors like the BNB,ADA and Matic.The only reason for increase in the Solana investment is due to the trading platform fee for certain coins.

I think it is very reasonable that the Solana / SOL token is said to be the favorite token of many investors, in addition to a token that has good value, SOL is also a token that has good prospects and has a reliable team that is more experienced in development. Solana is a good project but we cannot say that it will replace Ethereum.

The reason why people like SOL is because of its cheap and very fast
transaction speed but they usually forget that this fast tx is because SOL is not truly decentralized as Ethereum blockchain.

Yes, Solana teams are seriously working to ensure Solana become second position among cryptocurrencies. Based on what people are experiencing  from Solana investment in this season, showed that Solana will have more population than Ethereum because many people are afraid to invest all their capital on Ethereum just because of the high gas fee that involved in Ethereum transaction. But there is few features in which Solana has upper hand on Ethereum technology based. when the network's demand peaks, fees can be high. Ethereum can only process about 15 transactions per second (TPS) right now, hardly enough to reach mainstream adoption.

Lol, but it's true, Solana has a lot of issues in the past that really affected it's network and obviously the price. Although it is a good investment for the long term, I doubt that it will ever replae ETH. On the contrary, ETH has established itself, the prime mover in Altcoin so no doubt that it will remain on top. And just now they have their merge that could be a hit or miss for them, but still they remain on top. Solana should be in their right spot and shouldn't compete with ETH.

Sol has not been a competitor to ethereum from the start, I suspect that all projects have always been marketed as an alternative to ethereum, it's all just hype marketing to get attention community intentions. Sol is really disappointing for fans not being able to fix the power outage, I remember it happened 4 times this year and this is unacceptable for a top project like Sol. Sol is still one of the potential projects until now, hopefully they will soon fix and perfect sol better and better.

However, despite the success that Solan has, many people will still think that Ethereum will remain standing in the long run. Ethereum remains at the top among altcoins and it influences the market view and also investor's mindset as well. In some other way that Solana will get close to Ethereum and the community might embrace these changes but their faith will remain high in Ethereum.
Anyways, we have different coins preferred for investment but what is important is that we gain profit and reach our goal.

Indeed, in Crypto anything can happen but talking about Solana being able to compete with ethereum may not make sense to me, because if we look at the reality in terms of ecosystem growth, so far the ecosystem developed on the ethereum smart contract is much larger than the ecosystem developed with the Solana network so it is not easy for SOL to match ETH, although I am also interested in investing with Solana coin but I never thought that Solana will be able to match ethereum in the future.

I also believe, ethereum remains the king of all altcoins and Ethereum from the very beginning has been the main benchmark for all altcoins that have emerged today. Solana is cool as a plaything.  I'm sure whenever they get a good metaverse developed they'll be able to find a lot of interest.  The younger people I know seem to gravitate towards Solana for some reason.  I think because of the low fees.  It gives you the Ethereum experience without costing you a hundred dollars in fees to buy a picture.  It's obviously way too centralized and buggy to be a legitimate competitor to Ethereum now, but maybe in 5-10 years they'll figure things out the way ETH2 has for Ethereum. 

I don't think that solana will be the next Ethereum for now. Maybe in the future that solana could possibly be the next Ethereum since solana transaction fee doesn't cost much as Ethereum does and it may not be the next Ethereum if Ethereum will find a way to lessen or decrease the transaction fee since it's network is use by different token which many of those tokens are active or being used for p2e games for example and other projects that uses Ethereum network.

You should update the ETH gas transaction fee because the fee is much lower than before, the details of the ETH transfer fee are only $0.2 and the ERC20 transfer is only $0.6 so progress is very fast for reducing transaction fees on the ETH network, so I think there is no need for other networks for alternatives because ETH network is enough for everything. The marketing of "coin that will overthrow ETH" has been overused already if you ask me. When will we see a project that claims they will be in the top 10 for the next 10 years? The current price of Solana is very dump and the risk of further fall is still there.Currently the market is also very bearish. That's rightly said. Outages are also a hurdle for a new project but halting the blockchain itself is seriously a bad thing which promotes centralization.

It's always the fans and the investors that are thinking like that. Although I've seen some developers that have been really focused on dropping down Ethereum or alike of their projects because they think that they're superior to those that are already existing a long time ago.

I doubt it can be the next Ethereum. Why do we actually need "another" Ethereum? We already have one. Why not focus on something else. Why not make something better than Ethereum instead of the next Ethereum? Ethereum seems to be doing fine right now. lol Solana is dead. I don't know what is wrong with it but it is clear the way they designed it is fundamentally broken. Since November last year it has broken a lot. I think the recent break from a few days ago was the first in a while, but it has broken something like a dozen times since the first one last Fall.

After that first break and shutdown last Fall the devs said they'd fix the problem, so I thought it was a specific problem that they could account for. But then it kept breaking every 2 or three weeks for the most part. It is clear it's not a problem to fix, but a flaw in how they designed the system.

A blockchain that has to shutdown regularly is not something that will ever be useful or attain a lot of value. For a few months last year Solana got popular because some NFTs blew up on it. But that's all it ever had. Now it's a blockchain that doesn't even work. I don't expect it to ever get back to its ATH. And it certainly won't ever be a serious competitor to Ethereum. There are plenty of smart contract platforms that actually work who can try to be Ethereum competitors, Solana doesn't match that description.

Exactly. Solana is broken by design. You can't expect it to last forever if network outages become a daily issue. I don't get why SOL is still among the top ranks in market cap, when it's completely unreliable for mainstream payments. Whales must have some benefit by keeping SOL that way. Of course, the ETH blockchain is less-decentralized with the PoS upgrade. But it's still a better choice than Solana or any of its competitors. Solana blockchain has a very high speed with about 65,000 TPS,  and the network shutdown when it attempted to do a 400,000 TPS and keeps crashing ever since, I understand good technology takes  time to advance with constant development. Ethereum has a superior technology than Solana. ETH and Solana are not in same class.

I wouldn't say ETH "has a superior technology than Solana", simply because it has a very limited transaction capacity. The only advantage ETH has over Solana because it's decentralized and reliable blockchain network for day-to-day payments. It hasn't experienced a single network outage (as far as I know), even after the PoS upgrade was implemented a month ago. Solana is just an overhyped cryptocurrency that doesn't take network security too seriously. It's only focused on speed and cost-efficiency.

VCs and institutional investors like Solana because it's the highest-performing blockchain in the world. They don't care about the outages as long as they're able to make the most money out of it. Even Solana's developers aren't that interested in putting an end to network outages for good. The project is far from being "the next Ethereum" simply because it's unreliable. I'd say Cardano would be a much better alternative than Solana. Solana came to the crypto market with a good situation. it supports the hype they created with the adoption of several new projects. even every project that they first released, will always be booming. many of the investors started to enter Solana.
but now the situation might be different. Solana is having some network issues. coupled with a fairly bad market situation.

You're absolutely right, my friend. Ethereum has first mover advantage just like Bitcoin. It's impossible to take down its place as the world's second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap, simply because it has solid backing from investors, traders, and the community itself. It's the one smart contracts platform which started the NFT, ICO, and token craze. If Ethereum weren't conceived by Vitalik, we wouldn't had any of this stuff. You can consider ETH as the original project, while the rest are simply "copycats". Just because Solana is faster and cheaper to use doesn't mean it's better. Remember, it's quality, not quantity. All these other platforms are able process large amounts of transactions per second, but most (if not all) are the same quality as Ethereum. It's this reason why Solana nor any other competitor will be able to "beat" Ethereum in the foreseeable future. At least, the competition is healthy. What surprised me is how poor the Solana blockchain is and yet they still get shout-out from those we were supposed to call the leaders in the industry. Solana always get blackout whenever there's a pressure and this goes to show how poor the blockchain is and shoudn't have been launched yet or pit under so much pressure die to the high marketing on the project. They're under delivering as people expectations much better performance than what it is currently providing. Solana will always be under the shadows of Ethereum.

SOL is down close to 200 dollars per coin this year so if you have confidence in this project there is much profit to be made when the 'bull market' starts again.

Eth is the second coin in crypto next to bitcoin and it was the base of all altcoins. Without it, there will be no other altcoins so I think that eth is automatically placed in the second spot but for bnb, yes it is true that it takes time because binance exchange was a new exchange back in time and it also takes time to overcome other old exchanges and then they decided to create their own coin later which they called bnb.

You are right, there is a problem with solana's network last time but I don't think this encourages more people to get in because it doesn't sound positive. Many existing sol users are in fact stopped buying more sol for a while and they can even sell some due to doubts.

Crypto market is so unpredictable.  :o A number of blockchains have made great progress in transaction scalability, and now Ethereum finds itself in the role of catching up with these technologies.
Remember that in June, Solana overtook Ethereum in the number of transactions. Also, Solana clearly demonstrates to users the capabilities of the SVM virtual machine, which allowed it to overtake the performance of the VISA payment system (a sacred goal for Vitalik Buterin). So who knows?

Yeah, I guess that's one drawback, if the project is really gaining some trust and reputation along the way, they should at least be wary of any downtime because it will really hurt them. And with several blackout being experienced by the project, it make sense that investors are going out and look for other altcoin. Or at least when the project has resolved it's own issues, maybe they can get back the investors they lost.

So still 50/50, but to be fair, we are in the worst bearish state, every project, even Ethereum is losing some investors as they are not willing to put some money because of the prevailing conditions. But then again, no one can dethrone Ethereum at the top of the altcoin market, not even Solana.

I don't think solana will be able to replace Ethereum. Even though solana is a favorite among some investors, that doesn't mean it will be able to replace Ethereum. As we know that there have been many other altcoins trying to become the next Ethereum but none of them have been successful till now.

Once i used to Though, solana may another hard competitor  of ether as it set goal to become a model for updated internet application but now due to the shortage with blockchain, it sounds getting down gradually. It need 17x more marketcap to replaced ether position while bnb, cardano and others altcoins are already ahead for this matter. Although solana still time to development themself but Don't think it can win over ether

One of the advantages of SOLANA is fast transactions, and small fees compared to ETH. Moreover, nowadays many NFT projects are using the SOL blockchain. If Solana continues to improve like this, I think it's a good start to head to head with Ethereum. Yeah I mean, SOLANA better than ETH.

There are many coins that come into the market with the slogan to replace Ethereum and they are nowhere near reaching the market cap and popularity of Ethereum. Though we never heard such a statement from Solana team that it is a Ethereum killer but still Solana is much better than other coins in the market. But we cannot compare the more decentralized Ethereum network with the centralized Solana blockchain. People would not trust Solana as much as they trust the Ethereum network because Solana is not decentralized and due to this, we had some issues with its blockchain in the recent past.

Many claims are made that they are new altcoins able to compete with Ethereum and can be one level above it. But that claim is just a one-sided claim where they only made it in their roadmap, but in reality ethereum is still the best. Even though there are now many altcoins that have emerged with their own network, Ethereum is still the top altcoin.
Don't just glance at it, it will take time to prove that the altcoin is able to survive in this high-voltage market.

does not guarantee that it happens . while ethereum itself is still being developed by their team, so far, I don't think anything is really able to compete with ethereum because the name ethereum has a lot of trust in the community and investors. solana may be able to compete with BNB which I think makes more sense as a competitor.

Solana only got all the attention it has because Ethereum was misbehaving but now it's beginning to put itself together and Solana mightn't get any mention in the coming years. Ethereum high gas fee will be fixed and the fastness of the blockchain will also be fixed before the next bull market comes which is likely after the halving of Bitcoin miners reward happening in 2024. Ethereum has moved form Proof of work and now operating with proof of stakes.
Solana as a blockchain has so many flaw which the most famous is the constant stoppage that happens to Solana blockchain. If this habits continue many developers will return back to Ethereum or look for better options out there.

Solana is a fast-growing blockchain. It has the ability to overtake on etherium in future but if the developers are able to make the network more secure, the blockchain with good speed and low costs make it a good and profitable crypto.

It is too difficult to tell Sol will be the next Ethereum. Both altcoins are top in cryptocurrency world. But Ethereum has great potential and its blockchain is more secure then sol. I think sol will be the next Ethereum in the future.

with the ftt crash that affects solana greatly, it could simply implicated that solana could never replaces eth in the long run, let alone solana, even bnb with binance as a giant company backing it still could hardly surpass eth, so I definitely doubt that solana could pull it off and become the next eth. If there's coin out there that could become the next eth I'd say it's matic since it's like having the same characteristics with eth and it's already starting to grow in term of market valuation. solana in the other hand, still got hold back by the bad news revolving around the coin itself.

Solana had investments from FTX, which explains why the collapse of the exchange severely affected the crypto asset's (SOL) price on the market. It's trading below $20 at the time of this writing, compared to its All-time-high of over $200 per coin. That would be a terrible loss for early investors who got into the Solana hype back in 2021. To top it all off, Solana's been a victim of constant network outages during the course of 2022.

A so-called Blockchain network that's unreliable for payments can't simply replace a behemoth like Ethereum. People are dreaming by thinking SOL is going to replace ETH anytime soon. It's not about speed or cost-efficiency, but rather decentralization and censorship-resistance. Until Solana or any other competitor put their focus on what matters most, Ethereum's position on the market will remain untouched. I'm fine with things just the way they are as long as there's healthy competition on the crypto/Blockchain space. Just my opinion :)

Solana has a large and active following. Solana could become the largest decentralized finance platform in direct competition with Ethereum. Every technology developed by Solana drives the price of the SOL token soaring.

Admittedly, the death of FTX severely affects Solana as FTX is known to be Sol's biggest strategic investor. Currently, Sol's price is under $20, if you compare it to ATH it's a huge drop but if you compare it with Sol's ICO sale price of $0.10, now the original investors are still making huge profits investing in Sol.

I don't appreciate Sol but it certainly won't die just because of FTX, as for Sol being able to replace ETH, at first I thought it was a myth and never happened. It's all just their marketing hype.

Solana was known in the market as a good ecosystem and it became very popular but due to some problems Solana is slowly drifting away from everyone and since the recent FTT crash there are many effects on Solana which will prevent Solana from being like Ethereum.  And Solana might be a better ecosystem in the future.  But it will not be the same as Ethereum and it will never be an alternative to Ethereum

for me and probably many newbies in the crypto world Solana is an ordinary blockchain. There is no reason for this blockchain to become the next ethereum and you will stop with this kind of gimmick. Blockchain will not kill another blockchain. You should know that if what you are talking about above is not even true.

Solana has become an alternative blockchain to ethereum and this is a fact that is happening in the market. No need to call ethereum killer anymore. as a good buy is due to the fact that several projects have been launched on this platform and that gives me reason to hold it. Solana is a great project, but it cannot be compared to ethereum, due to the fact that ethereum has grown a lot due to the support of the larger community.

but I don't think that SOL will be the next Ethereum. People who are connected to cryptocurrency know about Ethereum very well and Ethereum has its own community. SOL is still growing and I hope we can see some good steps from it

Solana will never replace Ethereum, but it will be a good alternative for those who'd want ultra-fast transaction speeds at a fraction of the cost. Compared to other coins, SOL is the best crypto for day trading, NFTs, and P2E games. The FTX collapse will only affect the cryptocurrency's price within the short term. But it should be able to rise back up again if developers continue to work on the project no matter what.

For what I know, nothing lasts forever. Either Solana disappears or remains on the scene for a very long time. As long as you diversify your investment into various cryptocurrencies, you'll have nothing to worry about. Just my opinion :)

Solana is far to reach to success of Binance Smart Chain BSC so it will impossible to beat Ethereum in near future. Before Solana can move closely to Ethereum, it must beat Binance Smart Chain BSC first. Even BSC is out of reach for Solana at the moment and the Solana network has lot of drawbacks must be handled.

Maybe Solana will survive through this bear market and it won't be another project dies in a bear market. That is good enough as there is lot of time for their developers to improve their technology. Blockchain is here, cryptocurrency market is here and there are many cryptocurrency users who are readily to pick good altcoins to use and for their portfolios.


Their blockchain has many technical problems that caused a lot of troubles to their users and many times were reflected on market price. People believed in Solana because it was backed by FTX and Alameda but now these backers gone away with their collapses and bankruptcies.

Solana will have very difficult time ahead until this bear market ends. They must survive first before they can think of brighter future.

Solana had a good correlation with FTX which led to massive price drop of Solana along with FTX. I think if this FTX recovery is not possible then it will be difficult for Solana to come back early in the market. Until the next bullish trend it is hard to say what will exactly happen to Solana.

after big issues with FTX solana is one of the affected coins. but for me it's only temporary and some time later it will be normal again.
it is not uncommon for market crashes to occur as several coins are affected by such incidents and their prices suffer deep but temporary declines.
and i see solana is a good coin in the field of transactions that is quite fast and most likely the price of solana will not continue like this and will recover soon

Solana was the biggest new thing in 2021, and it'll never come back.

Solana's fate is sealed. They can't even keep it up and running...how many times has it broken over the past year?? lol. Blockchains need to actually work, which means they are always up.

Solana had its day in the sun late Summer and Fall of last year, but that time is over now. The fact that Solana was tied up with FTX just makes its death quicker.

Man, I thought I was getting out late when I sold all my SOL at like $46 this Spring. It just went down to $11!! Though I should have sold 12 months ago when it was still around $200 when that first outage occurred.

Oh well, there will be new smart contract platforms for the next bull run that'll get the same sort of hype SOL, ADA, DOT, LUNA, etc got in the last bull run as most or all of the stars of the last bull run fade away. The lifecycle of Crypto.

I think this is also due to the fact that many exchanges have blocked USDT and USDC deposits in the Solana blockchain network! At the same time, they did not indicate any reasons! Solana Blockchain's USD USDC deposit withdrawals from various exchanges are being suspended as Solana's blockchain transactions speed has slowed down and some specific problems are occurring on their chain.  Because of this, the exchanges have temporarily suspended Solana network deposit and withdrawals of many coins, but they may be unsuspended again if Solana is able to resolve their issues.

your statement is wrong if you call Solana to be a stable coin. and some of what you said is a bit off the mark from the fact that Solana's price dropped drastically because of the accident that happened to FTX. because FTX is the largest holder of the Solana coin and after FTX went bankrupt Solana became the risk of falling prices.



maybe one day Solana will fix this problem and come back to increase the price again because behind them is a good development team. but one thing you have to remember is that Solana still can't replace ethereum

Network outages, and now the recent FTX collapse, will ultimately "kill" Solana's ability to overcome Ethereum in the long run. It's unfortunate things will turn out this way, since the project holds a lot of potential to revolutionize the crypto/Blockchain industry (fastest confirmation times and cheapest fees per transaction unlike any other blockchain in the world today). The SOL cryptocurrency is now trading below $14, way below its ATH of over $200 per coin. Only a "miracle" would save Solana and make it one of the top 5 cryptocurrencies in market cap. But I doubt there's a chance for Solana to recover, especially when developers haven't fixed the network outages yet (in other words, they don't care about the project at all).

I don't think Solana or any other smart contracts platform will "beat" Ethereum, especially when the latter has first-mover advantage on the market. At least, there will be many platforms to choose from. People will ultimately decide which platform stays and which one goes all the way down the drain. As long as there's healthy competition on the industry, nothing else matters. Just my thoughts ;D

It's still a long way to go if Solana is going to be the next Ethereum, especially with some of the problems they're currently facing. I also disagree with what's been said regarding Solana being a stable coin. Because what happened and what was said is something that is very far from reality.
Indeed, Solana has had a lot of fans, especially in the last year, but they are now recovering to get better with what they are experiencing. So I think it will be very difficult for SOlana to follow Ethereum's lead.

I think that there is pattern for new coins, it's either they are the next hype or will be the next Ethereum killer.

When I was new this was already the trend in 2017, I can't remember how many projects claims to be the Ethereum killer but no one beats Ethereum and on the contrary, those projects suddenly die or maybe still in the cryptospace existing but nowhere near the success that they claim to be in the beginning.

Even BNB was touted to be the next Ethereum, yeah it enjoyed success because of CZ but still though in terms of market cap and volume, no altcoin can match ETH, maybe besides USDT but that is another story.

Solana was once very popular, now Solana prices are in the middle of dumping due to the deterioration of market conditions. However, everyone is still hoping that if market conditions improve in 2023, Solana prices will increase again.

Before Solana surpasses Ethereum, it should surpass other projects like Polygon, and BNB. Even if market conditions improve Solana still can't win, it should keep developing or upgrading their product so many people will use it like BSC which is already popular right now because it's easy, fast and BNB has small fees.

The limited supply means that its value can rise rapidly. but the fact that solana is run by a team is a disadvantage because in every team there can be disagreements and break-ups. in the long run I am not sure about that. global developments will have the last word.

I had got research about Solana, there are top holders of Solana still exist which it is very difficult to go down in the very near time, but in crypto everything is possible and I must say that it will take some time to reach the position of the Etherium, we had Etherium was not there before at the position, it is now.

SOL uses a hybrid mechanism of Proof of Stake (PoS) and Proof of History (PoH) to ensure scalability and low transaction costs.


I don't think it will be the next Ethereum. Just like Ethereum is not going to be the next Bitcoin. SOL still needs to continue to grow.

I think its true Solana day by day make very strong and the people increase the ratio of  buying of Solana day by day .
But according to my experience is that not anyone say that easily Solana is a next Ethereum because Ethereum is a very strong project and alot of people alot of new project use Ethereum and my opinion is that Ethereum is very strong so that is hard Solana defeat Ethereum easily.

Besides, ETH has first-mover advantage. In other words, it's impossible to take its place as the second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap.

At least, we have many options to choose from. As long as decentralization prevails in the long run, nothing else matters. Just my opinion :)

I believe that Solana is not as well developed as the Ethereum platform. According to the development of Solana, it has nothing even close to the Ethereum platform. Therefore, this is not a completely correct comparison. However, the Solan project is decentralized, which is undoubtedly a huge plus. And the Ethereum platform is centralized, which, of course, is a minus. But it seems to me that Solana is in no way a competitor to the Ethereum platform.

Based on the position Solana is right now among other cryptocurrencies, show that it will soon become next to Ethereum because the number of their investors has increased higher for the signs they saw few months ago that made them to used the opportunity well. Despite, Ethereum still remain second position among other cryptocurrencies, I believe after this bear condition, Solana will be the one to next to bitcoin because their teams are seriously working to ensure what has not happen to Solana before, will happen to favour their investors.
