Title: [ANN] mix-bitcoin.net - Mix & tumble Bitcoin to maintain your privacy [ANN]
Post by: mix-bitcoin.net on August 26, 2022, 04:37:25 PM
mix-bitcoin.net (https://mix-bitcoin.net/)

We successfully launched our new bitcoin mixer mix-bitcoin.net (https://mix-bitcoin.net/) to maintain your privacy on the BTC network.

Our goal was to develop a Bitcoin mixer that is reliable and easy to use with the experience the team gathered from working on other crypto-mixers for the last half-decade.

What our service provides:
- Very low fees (<0.5%)
- Easy, straightforward usage
- Fast responsive 24/7 support (Twitter/Mail)
- The option to use time delays and a mixing code
- Letter of Guarantee
- API for developers to use (https://mix-bitcoin.net/api/)
- Blog with weekly news and education about blockchain anonymity
- Onion address
- No logs

Our fees:
The current fees are 0.0003 BTC fixed fee per mixing process. This amount gets subtracted from the total sent amount.  The random variable fee will be charged from the remaining amount. For privacy reasons the fee gets generated and will always be less than 0.5%.
You can calculate your fees with our fee calculator: https://mix-bitcoin.net/fees/

Clearnet address: https://mix-bitcoin.net/
Darknet address: http://btcmixwa2wuw5cqjuxdz3gb4l37p6rfllato3mse3s7ohjusnymj3jyd.onion/mix/

Feel free to ask us any questions you might have.
Your feedback is greatly appreciated!
Thank you.

Welcome to the forum.
The site interface looks somehow familiar to me. By any chance did you have another mixer site before?

Worlds Most Reliable Bitcoin Mixer
Don't you think it's a big claim and you can not achieve it overnight.
Just my 2 cents.

Yes sure you're right it's a big claim, but we think currently the most centralized mixing services are scams, have too high fees or do not work reliably.
And yes, we had other mixing services on other chains before that looked the same.

From what I've seen, reliable sites never make any such claims. They don't need to, because their reputation will speak for them. The ones who make claims of being "the most reliable", are the ones I don't trust.

Mixers are in the trust business. Mixers should never lie. I know for a fact that a site on a one month old domain can't be the most reliable Bitcoin mixer out there. That means this claim is a lie, and if a mixer lies about one thing, they can lie about other things.

or do not work reliably.
Funny, your Get started (https://btcmixwa2wuw5cqjuxdz3gb4l37p6rfllato3mse3s7ohjusnymj3jyd.onion/mix) doesn't work :P

Which ones? Your website, created last month, shows 2017. I see big claims without evidence.

I see your points. We did a big claim there but our goal is to get the most reliable one that builds up reputation in the coming years.
Thank you for your reply, we took down the claim on the website.

It's just working on the clearnet right now. We will check the onion site again, thank you for your hint.

In 2017 we started our first mixing service on the Ethereum blockchain but we recently took it down because of the recent events in relation to tornado cash. Our bitcoin mixer was linked there as well and I can send you more information about that in a private message. We don't want to announce the exact name on here publicly because of legal reasons.

I see you are not using cloudflare, so what protection you have against ddos attacks?
And what is maximum amount of Bitcoins people can mix on your website, or to rephrase it more correctly, how big is your Bitcoin fund?

Yes sure you're right it's a big claim, but we think currently the most centralized mixing services are scams, have too high fees or do not work reliably.
One mixing service I know is very reliable, constantly under attack and they don't charge any fees except accepting voluntary donations.
Very hard to beat that.

That would be like I open a beef stake shop, selling premium cuts in 2022, but few years before I was selling donuts in 2017 with different brand name.
I can't say that I am selling stake since 2017 or I would mislead customers, and it's even worse if I tell them some vague story of my first business.

But that was the Ethereum mixing service not the bitcoin Mixer. Those are two different services.

Secondly, we can't be sure if you are exactly the same team behind the old Ethereum mixer.

If I came about with a Bitcoin version of tornado cash and announced it here, would you believe me?

Not using Cloudflare is a good thing though.

If you can not link then you should not claim too.

It's hard to start a business from ground but with having good intention and good management it's not undo-able. Every business starts from zero ground. I hope you will consider things which will look legit instead of giving an impression of faking. I wish you good luck.

Yes, it's another chain but we got much experience over the years about mixing.
We changed "2017 - Launch of our first mixing service" to "2017 - Launch of our first ETH mixing service".

Feel free to PM me, but if you do, make sure to include enough evidence to verify the existence of your previous mixer, and to verify you were the owner of said mixer.

Update: I received a PM. I believe OP indeed had an Ethereum mixer site before. The domain was registered in 2017, and posted on Bitcointalk in 2018. Based on the few posts in the topic on Bitcointalk, I can't really say how reliable the service was.

I won't test your service with my own money, but I did play around with your clearnet site just enough to ensure the LOG feature is functional.  That goes a long way to establishing a good reputation, in my opinion.  Also, I wouldn't use the service unless I could access it through the Tor site.  I think you're likely to miss out on some business until you get that up and working.

One thing I did notice while searching for your PGP key, however; it can only be found on your website.  The key has not been uploaded to the pgp server network:

That's a bit of a risk, in my opinion.  It's good to have it on your website, but it's also good to have redundant sources.  I suggest you upload it to one of the common key servers (it'll populate to the rest of the network from there,) and you can even post here on the forum, in the PGP Public Key Database (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1159946.0).

Pay me money or I will post your previous project! :P
just joking to tease of course

I know what ETH mixer it was and won't post it to not bother you as I can understand your concern. I can say the account was logged in a few days ago, and a few hours ago too :)

As @LoyceV mentioned, hard to get an opinion since only 2 users posted after using the service.

Wishing you to do better in marketing your service since it's a must for the bitcoin mixers, it's a totally different game.

Little update:

- We are now live for 4 months and are mainly working on our SEO.
- Last week we also started with the translations into Italian, Russian, German & Spanish.
- Our API is now also fully working. Let me know if there is any interest in using it. (https://mix-bitcoin.net/api/)
- We are thinking about setting the current fees from 0.5% to 0% in January to give more people the ability to test our service for free. Let me know what you think about that.

Feel free to ask us anything that is on your mind.

Hey, how can we test your service without using our own coins? Do you provide coins for test?

Based on the previous comments, it seems that you cannot try the mixer without using your own money. It was Direwolf who pointed out some privacy issues before the OP posted the latest update that Mixer is finally available on Tor Mirror.
The best thing that the latest updates suggest is that during the month of January, the mixer can be tried without fees, but this will not be possible, of course, given the fees on the Ethereum network. I am surprised that these updates are so late since late August.
I do not advise anyone to send large amounts of money to this mixer, and it can be tried using small amounts only as a matter of verification.

You opened your ANN thread on Bitcointalk that means you want to present your service here.

From above discussions, it's clear that people are carefully to not use a newborn mixer service with their own bitcoins but they gave you some feedback already.

If you want people to get more feedback with really experience from using your mixer, it's good to launch a Review Reward Campaign and you can find managers to do that.
  • [Overview] Bitcointalk Services from Bitcointalk Members (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5406507.0)
  • Take a look and find a manager that suits you

As a representative of your mixer service, why not buying a Copper Membership?
  • Copper membership annoucement (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2385104.0)
  • Buy there (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote)

Once you have it, you get the choice:
