Whats up family. So ive been planning and working on this for awhile. It always bothered me that all the physical bitcoin videos were lame, wrong, or just plain bad. So I did it myself. The goal is to bring physical to the world. Hopefully inform the newbies and prevent people from getting scammed.  The format is each video will talk about a different physical bitcoin. I hope to have some of the coinmakers even come on to talk about their coin. Even some guest hosts from the forum phone in and help. Plenty of you know more than me. By no means are these videos perfect. I definitely would like feedback, and Im not scared of criticism. So please let me have it.

I just watched your first video, I find the format very pleasant, and the concept very well thought out. Beautiful ! I really like your videos!

I find that your explanations are clear and simple (afterwards I am not the best to judge at this level because I do not think I have the best English here, far from it), and it's nice to hear from you too!  :D

In terms of the youtube game, the decor is rather effective for my taste (by the way, a big thank you for showing the book "Bitcoin attack"!), In the future, of course, you could use a camera, a microphone and lighting to level up the viewer experience! Even if it's going very well right now! these are just details!

Seems like a good idea. I’ll have to check out the channel and see if I can learn a thing or two. Great to see the community taking good steps forward. It feels almost friendly around here these days, which is nice for everyone as we grow our hobby.

I want to thank everyone for the support. After i posted i wasnt sure if i was going to delete them or keep making them. Its been great to hear so much positive feedback. I plan on making many more videos. If you're a coinmaker i will definitely reach out to you prior to your video to see if you want to be involved. For most of the members of this forum these videos are elementary, but for the rest of the world a resource that hopefully brings them into our world.

In any collector's niche YT views are just small number but your video could reach a bigger audience. It's just matter of time but I think more and more collectors will join this field.

It's generally about something I wanted to do for quite a while, but might be better suited for a channel like yours:
Peeling a Moonbits, swiping the BTC to a wallet and afterwards do some stress test on the sticker with the privatekey on it.

Maybe, just maybe, this could be a re-occuring thing where you would from time to time do the same test with other (famous) crypto collectibles.
Could be donation based like with the Moonbits, maybe even some generous collectors could jump it.

In any case, good luck with your channel, a much needed step and excited to see more!

What happened to the Squirrelbits YouTube video? Why was it taken down?

I had a request from the maker to take it down. He felt it went against the spirit of the coin. He wants it mysterious. It will be a legend coin that only exists in the minds of those that own one. So out of respect i removed it. Much like he does with his pictures. However i am working on new videos this week and they will include a "Legend of the Squirrel bits" video. Without pictures. Thanks for asking. No one was sadder about taking it down then me, lol

Say what? First off, I’m sure you spent a lot of time on the video like you have the others (working my way through them all now).  Can you explain why they requested you do this, like what do they mean by the spirit of keeping the coins mysterious?  In my experience coin makers being mysterious about their coins has almost always been a negative thing, for quite a few reasons. Not to mention doing this doesn’t help those who own these coins in appreciation aspects (stuff like your videos will help create demand for the coins covered). Maybe I’m missing something here ..

Regarding the squirrel- mysterious is probably the wrong word. He enjoys making the coins, its his passion. He only makes 21 and loves to sell to the forum. Its my understanding he was getting a bunch of weird people reaching out asking questions. So i took it down. Hes not interested in growing the coin. He just wants to sell awesome mintage of 21 pieces. He didnt want the attention so i obliged him. However i do believe these will blow up eventually on there own.

Wanna chime in on the squirrelbits video discussion, just about to head out but quick summary of what comes to mind: I think it's a mistake to a) make such a request from liquid and b) also to take the video down (even though I respect your reasoning).

Lol that’s probably my favorite video on YouTube and I’ve been meaning to screen record it before he decides to take it down, as I’m quite sure it’s absolutely legit and not what I’d also agree would be an awesome troll job. It’s just so good  :D

Both the deleting of all sales threads and that request to take the video down don’t sit right with me. There’s no reason to do either unless one is trying to hide something, in my opinion. It makes absolutely zero sense. Maybe, I mean maybe if they were Monero coins and it’s for the anonymous “effect”, kinda like this masterpiece cryptografitti made and posted on YouTube (it’s a hidden video however, a play on the anonymity of xmr https://youtu.be/OE2IXuXTUT0  ) but even still, it’s different. Again, maybe I’m missing something, and curious as to what I’m missing. Not to mention forum threads are are scraped and archived almost immediately, so..more of ..I don’t get it.

Wow awesome. Haven't watched, will come back when I was able to do so (hopefully tomorrow) but just wanted to quickly chime in and say it's amazing you keep this going.
Sticking to creating high quality content for such a niche thing does require true passion.

However, you are among the first movers in this field and could become the #1 reference channel for crypto collectibles. I do truely believe you will slowly increase in followers and the cool thing is, this may also be interesting for non-crypto coin-collectors or other bitcoin-geeks that don't own any collectibles.
So I think the possible audience is huge.

I love making these videos. Physical bitcoin is my passion, hobby, and life when I'm not at work or raising kids. I long for the day that physical will help me retire one way or another. Only 990,000 more subscribers and were there. I plan on doing videos on all the coins that have proven themselves. OG nasty definitely has a video coming. But first Lealana, Krogoth and Moonbits got one coming. I have a lot of ideas and with my new software can produce some amazing stuff. So I look forward to a long video career with the goal of bringing physical to the people. i truly believe that BTC will change the world and physical will be right there with it.

  Another well made video....Satori are coins that definitely deserve recognition and are amongst my favorite chip makers alongside BTCC.

   Also I believe they are the only ones from Japan as well. I could be wrong perhaps other can chip on this as well.

New Video- Private key protection in physical bitcoin

I like Krogoth's scheme with the encrypted/ password protected private-key.

Adding a password would prevent the maker from sweeping the balance of funds.

Problem is the collectable can not be sold on the secondary market with the passphrase attached.

There are alternatives to the Trezor signing device that may be more preferred.
