It's my opinion that if anyone give more time in this forum then he/she easily go up. He/she can easily get all types of information from here. I personally like this forum because i get all types of knowledge here. Different different sec section have different information. As a Newbie i want to spend more and more time in this forum to gain more and more information for my intelligence.

Now i want to get more and more information how to improve my poor English writing /speaking  :-[

Bitcointalk is honestly overrated in terms of learning in general. It's great for having questions and discuss/debate certain news and topics, but if you're a beginner you're better off reading articles off the web.

Sorry that is not what bitcointalk is about, it is not like a college where you can learn how to write and speak English, it is a discussion forum, and truly the language used for communicating in bitcointalk is English (except the local boards), and there are many native speakers of the language here, you can learn a little from how they write.

Needless to say that it isn't enough, and the better thing to do is to improve your English writing and speaking off the forum, there are websites you can take English courses for some months, you can also install Grammarly to assist you too, as well as many other tools out there to learn English properly. Bitcointalk is a bitcoin discussion forum, take it to be that.

So you want to say that web is better than this forum.
But can i get specific knowledge from web which i want?
These forum have so much traffic, so if i want to know about something then someone can give me the specific information. That's why i choose this forum.

Yes, you can simply use Google for like 90% of the information concerning Bitcoin/crypto. The 10% minority, mostly the more technical questions, you can ask Bitcointalk.

Information and knowledge are just here on forum you can freely scan all the topics you wanted to learn and browse here and anything about bitcoin.  You can also use the search function for easy navigation and roaming around here and finding useful topics.

Improving english writing and speaking are need of practice and studying which i believe you could practice for yourself.  You can use some learning on internet Youtube has plenty of resources.

You must at least have a basic knowledge of the subject as a beginner in order to participate in conversations and understand the answers to your questions. So you can see that reading books and articles online is the greatest place to start.
You gain a better understanding of what you study when you participate in discussions.

A Forum user, Jet Cash, used to run a program designed for non native speakers; Fit to Talk Project (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3754793.msg37037837#msg37037837). I say 'used to' cause I'm not certain how active it is at this time.

I have many issues learning off articles, for one, you get a one sided opinion, from the writer. This is different from a discussion, where users can correct and add to already said points.
Also, articles are not usually updated, and search engines are more likely to bring out older ones, with more engagements than newer ones, hence, there could be a gap in knowledge.

Learning how to use the search option effectively can unlock so many ways beginners can learn from the forum.

If you haven't already, I suggest you familiarize yourself with the rules of the forum, because it is something that will help you better understand how the forum works, which will be good for you and all the other members of the forum. Regarding the forum and the time you want to spend here, my personal opinion is that it is definitely time well spent, especially if you want to study what happened throughout the history of Bitcoin through various discussions of forum members. Although I have officially been on the forum since mid-2015, I often find some interesting information that I did not know about before. Of course, the forum is not the only place where you can find information, but it is certainly a much better place than various social networks ruled by various so-called crypto experts and scammers.

To some of us, this forum is more than a school; we can learn many things without spending any money; all we need is our time and dedication; with enough time and dedication, one can learn as much as he or she can.

You can also improve your writing style by reading many users' writeups here; some users are very good writers, so if you can read most users' sentence structures, I believe it will help you improve.
You can also install Grammary on your computer to help you structure your sentences.

Engagement into this community brings rapid development to any user. When you observe very well it's noticable that any user who is not desperate in making money from the community actually ressurect fast in any ramifications. And another thing we have to understand concerning this forum is that we have to know that this place is fully made up of diversification of knowledge. Being consistent in research of anything concerning Bitcoin do accelerate unexpectedly.

I do not agree that reading web articles gets you more knowledge than spending your time on this forum does.  Simply because by communicating and letting others correct you, you are automatically entering a phase of learning.  You barely ever get to say some B S and get away with it here, there will almost definitely at some point be someone out here to correct you.  Articles are often paid, some of them do not even properly define what Bitcoin is or what Cryptocurrencies are.  Furthermore.  You get a TON of articles about Shitcoins 'that are about to explode or replace Bitcoin' which has always been disproved by the test of time.

Spend your time here if you like it, and you will automatically learn a lot.

Not all knowledge gotten from forum can be considered valuable, considering that there as still some discussions featured in some boards that hold little or no benefit/relevance to any reader. Some discussions are just regular discussions.
 True that you can learn a thing or two from this forum, but do not completely depend on forum alone for updated knowledge. The forum should not be seen as a substitute for following up on news, reading articles and publication etc. but as a plus to it.

Learning does not have to be on the bitcointalk forum because there are still many out there that are better about the knowledge that we must learn including from articles and other websites that are more important for us to know, although I am often active here just to discuss what I know and the rest I Of course looking for unique content on this forum about what I don't know, so it's equally important to learn knowledge wherever it is important that we read it diligently.

About crypto is wide I can get knowledge from individuals, on channels, social media and much that I know outside of forums.

I would say that there is lot of quality stuff on the forum but there are many articles directing users towards some misrepresented information over the web as you can't check the authenticity of them but on the contrary the forum will have reliable information source and mistakes being pointed out by high rank and knowledgeable members.There are lot of useful sites also that shares good bitcoin related articles and covers most of the topic but a newbie won't be able to differentiate between them so it's better to go through forum route in my opinion.

They can opt for books like Mastering Bitcoin to have the proper knowledge if they want to or as you suggest to them watch Andreas videos on YouTube and plenty of other resources but once they find out the basics they can check for web sources also to find out the legit one.

Yes, here is a veritable place to learn crypto stuff. It may take a while for one to know how to navigate the relevant sections of this forum but once one is settled in, learning becomes enjoyable. I had such experience as a noob and would often get lost locating threads I was reading until I would stumble on them again later. I started my crypto journey here and most of the things I know about cryptos were from this forum.

Get an online dictionary. Learn how to search for expressions, idioms and collocations you come across so as to get their meanings. That's an easy way to improve on grammar.

You overvalue the forum and I believe we can not get all knowledge here. We can learn a lot in this forum but not all knowledge on Earth is available here.

Additionally, spend time and learn something from your time depends on how you spend your time, what you learn, what is your learning method and so on. Most important, if you have good attitude, you can learn and have good practice. So attitude, intention are keys to start your journey.

With time, you can adjust your learning method as well as increase your knowledge and skills. You will figure out better ways to learn more effectively and work more productively with a same time budget.

Could this be your notion of joining the forum? I guess no because this is not the right place for learning how to write or speak good English. Satoshi Nakomoto created this forum for discussion, information, and promotion of Bitcoin but you can also get much useful information about other cryptocurrencies hence you are active here but your main reason should be to get knowledge on bitcoin I believe when you focus on reading the threads that has been created here by members of this forum and the once that will be created now that you located here, your writing and speaking pattern will also get better.

Well alot of knowledge are shared on this forum if I am to be honest, so far it one of the most effective and knowledgeable cryptocurrency forum I have been on. But also you should know that you can't learn hoe to speak English or write either on this forum, this forum is about bitcoin and cryptocurrency as a whole.

That would be good, but the OP already tells how you have good English, you can just focus on learning more about bitcoin and other boards of interest. You can read more of what established members are posting and also reading merited posts, all would be helpful. This is a forum, learn, ask questions and also contribute and stay here having real life discussion about what would education other members.

Do not just focus on bitcointalk because if you want to improve your English speaking and writing skills, then learn from the available resources in the internet. However, bitcointalk may be a good avenue if you want to gain more insights on cryptocurrency and its volatile market, and the worldly economic issues that are now very visible these days. Other than that, if you want to improve your English, learn from the English vocabulary first and master them.

The reason why bitcointalk is a better place for beginners to learn  is that bitcointalk forum does not promote fallacy.  Bitcointalk forum is highly against wrong teachings that are not real.  That's why any beginning learning from bitcointalk forum is acquiring the real knowledge.  Learning outside the forum like using Google is good, but in Google it is possible to come across  things that are not true.

It is not only here in the forum, it is applicable everywhere in life, when you spend quality time in anything you are doing you will see yourself improving and growing steadily. I am happy you want to focus on learning instead of earning for now. Learn as much as you can, this forum is generous in giving out information and information gotten here are reliable bcause they are open to discussion, debate and argument. Keep learning as much as you can and in the nearest future you will see the advantage of how much you learnt in your newbie days.

Bitcointalk is not a place to learn about medical, you can't learn everything at one platform so you have to be more specific about what you're trying to say.

Here you can learn everything about cryptocurrencies, decentralization, money and economics so this is crypto forum to discuss about cryptocurrencies.

Time is money; when someone spends time on something important to him or her, they reap the benefits, and vice versa.
If you want the best knowledge in this forum, you must be very active and devote your time to learning, because you will find everything you need to know about Bitcoin and other Altcoins here.
One intriguing aspect of this forum is that it is not only about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency; you can also gain general knowledge about life, more life experience, and good advice from forum members.

False information is definitely a problem, but you obviously don't just automatically trust whatever Google gives you. It's literally the same with any other topic or industry — you make sure that your sources are good, and you just don't read one single article then you're done for. You read multiple articles from multiple credible sources, then you form your conclusions around it. Doing proper research in itself is a skill.

Also, the last thing we'd want is people asking very redundant questions (what is a non-custodial wallet?, etc) even though there are a lot of free available information already.

Few months back I was also a newbie on this forum and I can’t say this forum have not contributed to me in terms of knowledge and in terms of learning much about bitcoin in fact crypto related as a whole. Honestly when you spend much time on this forum you tend to gain much knowledge in all aspect of life.

First and foremost, this forum is not meant or for the purpose of improving your English speaking and writing. No one's perfect here. You don't need to be a perfect English speaker or writer to participate and engage here in the forum talking about crypto, blockchain, trading, etc.

You can participate in the local boards where you are more comfortable speaking your native language.

It's funny to hear such statements. The OP has a 2021 registration, creates a post about the usefulness of this forum, but does not follow his own mottos at all. 
Enough time has passed since his last visit to believe that he does not even make posts on the forum but just reads it daily. 
Newbies are offended that the inhabitants of the forum do not believe them, but the hypocrisy that the OP shows just confirms that you should not believe in beautiful slogans.

I see the forum as a place where you can only get a clue about random discussions and a place where you get ideas and topics to research about not a place where one gains express and complete knowledge about a thing. The only unique thing about BTT is its engagement rate. Different views can be ascertained about a topic

I'm into a person who can share information and gain of it with the experience of other people. This forum gives a lot of information into my journey into the world of crypto and it's really helps a lot also the other member share their knowledge at the same time so by that we can come up with the main point of idea of the topic. To make yourself well equip with the possible problem or challenge it is good to make an investment with your knowledge and skills so you now know what to do in the time you will face the same questions.

All What you said about the forum is true, because the forum is so wide in giving any type of information not only bitcoin or cryptocurrency. The forum is divided into sections, I assure you that you will learn alot from here. It will help you in improving your English language skills.

The forum is really a interesting place to be it is a place where you can learn about bitcoin and you don’t have to pay anybody for the information you get, you can have discussion on the forum and anybody will make there contribution, I have not seen a forum like this before a very convenient site to learn for free.

I think you should start first in reading English vocabulary and familiarize the basics in writing and reading in english. And once you’re done with that, entering bitcointalk forum could also add to your learning process. The more time you keep on reading and writing, the higher chances you will develop your skills in English. And since bitcointalk forum is mostly in English dialect, then this could be a very helpful outlet for you to spend your time.

The internet got it for you. All you have to do is to give most of your time studying and practicing in English while watching those free video tutorials too in YouTube. That way, you will definitely learn in time. And if you want to gain more knowledge in cryptocurrency and build your skills in crypto investments, then bitcointalk would be a very good place for you.

Well we got Reddit, but I still prefer this forum when it comes to having conversation with other Bitcoiners. There are plenty of resources out there still, although I would advise you to stay away from someone claiming to "coach" your investment for a humongous fee with refund guarantee.
Not gonna lie, I had tread around Reddit a lot but I see a lot of postings that are usually just article clickbaits and it just kills the conversation if you would ask me.

Though there are spamming problems here in the forum, I still get some conversations around here with higher ranking members.

Definitely in all life’s aspects, one should strive hard first and exert efforts and hardwork before you can see growth and development in your life. However, in cryptocurrency, it is no different at all. Everything is learned first through series of DYOR, studying and obtained knowledge and skills in the end. Learn to improve your English writing and skills first through studying the basics in English, so you can also interact and share your ideas in the forum that will give benefits to others.

Not every piece of information can be found in this forum, you can't rely on this forum only to grow your knowledge. Don't deny other sources to improve your knowledge! It is true that this forum has many sections, but most of the sections are related to crypto and forum topics. Only in the off-topic section can be found non-crypto/forum topics. But I think they are rather limited.

If you want to focus on improving your written or spoken skills in English, this forum isn't the right place. You can visit English course sites, or any sites that provide specific information about learning English. As far as I know, this forum doesn't provide a specific section to learn English abilities.  :-\

Many things are here which I learn from this forum but exactly I learn mostly from my life experiences, by practicing, getting loss, by  deceiving from anyone.

Not everything is here we can search more in all over the internet and can get more information, regarding the issue, which we are facing.

many things happen in our life because we apply what we learn in the forum. The good thing about this forum is not all about investment, people had also learned how to correct their mistakes and hear advice from the members who care about helping others. Spending our valuable time here really makes sense because from the moment we come in here and visit different sections we tend to get more useful information that seems applicable to us. Yes, of course, more information can be found on the internet and with reliable resources.

Basically I came here only for fun. Now I am earning with fun. And also learning too. And also giving the knowledge which I have and try to help others.

And when I see any post in this forum and think that the information is not sufficient than I search on internet for full information.

Of course all of us who have been in this forum know that many of our seniors always share knowledge about the problems and developments of the crypto world, and the problems faced there is always a way to solve, so in this case many beginners are easy to adapt in this forum because of the help of our seniors, the most important thing that we must rely on is to read a lot and follow every important moment offered in the forum and this would be a way for us to be able to get what we want.

You can be on this forum, give it time and still learn nothing. You find a lot of them on the forum and mostly in the bounty section. Why?
There ar tjoe that are so focused on what they could make and so, they forget to read and improve themselves.
Bounties don't need much writing bit advertising a project on your social media media and post a report link on the forum. Most of those involved in bounty hunting don't give other boards of the forum much time and the result is always having beginners good at only posing POA.

We really need to make time to keep learning and upgrading our knowledge and skills wherever it is. Regarding cryptocurrencies and blockchain, this forum does provide various kinds of updated information and various other information that is very useful for us.
Starting from our desire to continue learning, then continued by frequently reading various topics in this forum. From reading that we can continue to understand what we read and deepen it by reading some replies. because sometimes some detailed answers will really help us to complete the information we need.
However, sometimes, we are so lazy and stingy to spend time reading on this forum.

As you have already checked the Btt board, you have seen how the boards are properly arranged for your exposure. It is left for you to choose the area of focus, you would like to gain more information on.

This forum has schooled many of us here academically. The knowledge and exposure gotten are tremendous. Nobody that passes through this forum, remains the same.

Take your time to be reading articles online, with time your English will be okay. But first, you should start by using Grammarly keypad as your phone keypad. You can get the Grammarly keypad on playstore.

Bitcointalk forum is certainly a place to gain knowledge and skills. And the more you devote your precious time in here, the bigger the opportunities you will start to take advantage and be profitable in the end. However, while your concern OP is to improve your poor performance in English, then I think this forum can help you but always explore first the English vocabulary that is freely available in the internet.

It is possible to gain more knowledge from here by spending more time on the forum. But to go up you have to follow some forum rules. The two most important forum skills are quality posts and following forum rules. If you can spend valuable time behind your posts and create quality posts and follow the rules of the forum, you can move up quickly.


If you are weak in English, you need to practice English more. And you can use dictionary if you want.

I am sorry, but this is not the place to improve your English skills. This forum is a place to learn about bitcoin and crypto, but if you lack the basic understanding of English, it's not going to be a fun trip. Having a local language board where you can discuss what's on your mind in your mother tongue helps a lot though.

You should learn English by those who know how to teach it. Courses (online or proper classroom-based) are a good place to start. It doesn't have to be an official one where you get a certificate because your goal is to improve your reading, writing, and communication skills, and not to display a piece of paper that confirms successful completion.

I won't say this is 100% true because I've learned more about crypto mining on this forum that the web, there are some answers on here that I can't find on web, adding tweaks and clocking have effective answers on here than using google.

Anyone without interest for learning can't cope with the forum , that is very certain. The forum was created to share knowledge discussion that will help other members.  One who does not spend time to learn cab not share anything here in the forum, because you can only share what you have, if you lack knowledge their is nothing you can share.
