Title: What is your plan with Bitcoin?
Post by: JamesDaniel90 on September 07, 2022, 11:28:07 PM
Hi all,

I started investing in crypto February this year but due to the high price of Bitcoin did not start investing in it until mid June just after the crash.

Since then I have been DCA every week and currently own 2% of a Bitcoin at an average price of £17,900.

My goal is to hold Bitcoin until it reaches £500k - £1m, i know it will take a long time but will be worth it.

I am hoping these current prices last a lot longer so that we can all continue to DCA at low prices.

Just wondering how everyone else invests in Bitcoin? How often do you buy and how long do you plan to hold?

Same as you, buying bitcoin in weekly status or at least when I have fiat at hand and just be a HODL. And since we are in a bear market, they are in a discounted price so we should take advantage of it.

And it's also a long term goal for me, I have stocks that I have hold for more than 10 years now so I believed that I can do that to bitcoin or even longer, (at least 3 bull run cycles), so let's see.

What you've done is good. Ongoing market movements were good for DCA, and it is time to make use of it to the maximum. For now I don't have any specific timeline for the holding. I keep holding and sell when I find the price to be high or when a new ATH is being reached. For now from experts view the bear market is supposed to stay long with volatility level supporting trade moves. So, this is a right time to make an entry.

You have to wait a long time for your thoughts to come true.Observing Bitcoin's history and taking expert advice suggests that Bitcoin will take a good position very soon. But you might be lucky enough to be able to invest in Bitcoin at a very low price.May you hold on for a long time. Never lose patience Bitcoin will surely fulfill your dream. If we invest in bitcoins we cannot keep it for a long time. If the price increases a little and from there some amount of profit is actually sold But we don't have that energy to keep for long time because we can't invest for long time due to family.A little profit has to be sold and spent on family work.

As a usual approach, I just accumulate, if possible, regardless of what's the price. Depends also on the budget.

There's no specific period for how long should I plan to hold. It really depends on how I looked at a certain trend.

But one thing is for sure, I can't afford to hold it for years or plan on holding it within that long timeframe due to the fact that, there are several factors and considerations why should I sell at some point. Sometimes even though I like to hold, there will always be a time that I can't follow it.

It's obvious that someone's plan is to save as much bitcoin as we can throughout this bear market. If someone has sold everything during the last spike, then good, this is another period to accumulate. And if you didn't sold then continue to amass because the price is cheap. As to what is my preferred price to sell my stash, hard to answer, we all know how scarce bitcoin is, so sooner or later the demand is going to grow. Very difficult unless there is a very important reason to sell your BTC.

That’s a good way of providing yourself good/low entry points, after all no one really knows where the price is heading at any given time.  Dollar cost averaging is a popular investing strategy and has been for a very long time and for a reason. By the way I personally would not share with other how much you have with anything whether that’s how much bitcoin, or investments in this stock or that, I’d keep it private. Just my 2 on that.

Pretty simple — continue staking slowly but surely, and spend it as much as possible when needed (unless it's the case that I hold too much fiat).

I also do DCA but in the next cycle or when the market overheats and we see that we break the highs, it is not bad to trim a little of what you have invested and take advantage to spend some bitcoin, because waiting for half a million or a million can take a long time. Having 2% of a bitcoin is not much for now but as you accumulate more and it becomes a large percentage of your net worth it is worth thinking about what I am telling you.

The fact that bitcoin is in circulation also gives it value. As popular as HODL is, if no one transacted with bitcoin, it would be worthless.

In investment terms, we have to put something in the coin that is worth holding on to, so that at any given moment we can see a suitable return, you are doing something right in bitcoin, it just takes time, because right now may not be the right time to let go.

Just wondering how everyone else invests in Bitcoin? How often do you buy and how long do you plan to hold?
Many people do different strategies in carrying out investments, but almost generally people make purchases when prices are low, sometimes people make long-term investments to increase their profit portfolio, but it's also not wrong to use short-term to make small profits, the most important thing is how prepared we are in carrying out investments, both using long-term and short-term

You'd have to wait for a long time to get that price range imo. I would wait for a more realistic price if I were you, like $100k or even below. $50-$100k is a nice target I think. If you are very young then sure, wait for $500k but don't get mad if it takes multiple decades.

You were wise to start DCA'ing now when the prices are low. A lot wiser than who started DCA'ing when the price was $60k+.

price will stay low for a long time because it won't shoot to the moon before halving. two years more so you are lucky that you can afford to DCA weekly. many users in the forum earns BTC thru campaigns. that's just what i would do as well.  but i would rather be trading though than keeping it on a cold wallet.

I try to be pretty stable with it but I mostly do it every 2 weeks at least or 1 month at max depending on the current state of my funds. I plan to hold for a long time, especially with the current state we have right now, I see no plans to actually sell and I suck at trading so big no for that one. Been DCA'ing since when Bitcoin started dipping from the last ATH, afaik I'm down by quite a bit but I don't really mind. I don't (and want) to look at it since might get weak hands if I do.

I bought my first bitcoins when the price was just over $300.... but I was tempted to sell some of it when the price went over $1000. This is a very common mistake that early investors are making, because they have not experienced a 800%+ increase in the price of Bitcoin...so a 200% profit in their investment...seems to be too tempting.

I have learnt from my mistakes.... so I buy low.... use some coins (20%) and I hoard (80%) for many years... until Bitcoin reach it's next all-time-high price. I then sell some coins to make a profit and I keep some for the next all-time-high. (also buying more when the price drop)  ;)

You have a good plan to hold bitcoins for a certain period. That is the purpose of investing because we want to take profits within a certain period and not sell our assets if we are not in a situation that really needs money.

I also buy using DCA like you because I want to sell bitcoin at the new ATH price later. And I also know that it won't happen any time soon so I can hold it in for a while. Maybe I'll hold it for 1 or 2 years later but it depends on when the price will hit the new ATH.

I get a portion of my salary in BTC, I try not touch it if possible. Sometimes I'll exchange for ETH or another top altcoin, but mostly just HODL. I'm essentially DCA automatically with my salary.

if the target you set is clear, then you only need to prepare money to continue buying at the lowest bitcoin price. You should of course use money that you don't use in the future. I expect ATH to be reached in the near future maybe not more than 1 year, but it also depends on the state of the market and the state of the world economy. and there will be a lot of manipulation done by whales.

You have made a brilliant decision to invest in bitcoin, Bitcoin will definitely reach £500k - £1m one day but you should be ready to hold for long time, am sure nobody can predict when the price will get their but if you have patience then HODL and you will be proud of yourself one day.
Just wondering how everyone else invests in Bitcoin? How often do you buy and how long do you plan to hold?
Depending on your choice or your source of income, you can even decide to be investing daily if you are being paid daily, so everybody investment pattern is different. Like me I always invest in bitcoin whenever am having extral cash which I won't be using for that moment, I just buy bitcoin and ignore it in my wallet.
Am ready to HODL my bitcoin for as long as possible, the bitcoin am holding currently, am planning to give my unborn children and am not even married yet so I don't have plans to sell my bitcoin soon.

Trading is not easy, you may have a good knowledge of the market but those who do not understand this crypto currency will loss a lot when trading for the first time. But if he wants to develop himself as an expert trader then he needs to acquire a good knowledge about cryptocurrencies, not only about trading. So I say don't go trading without good knowledge about crypto currency otherwise you will loss and get disappointed. Later you will have no desire to trade.

The same plan as you do. Not gonna hurt if I'll wait for that time to come since we're already here and we understand that the volatility of bitcoin is also where the opportunity is coming from. It will certainly take time and it won't be that easy because we might be tempted to sell already once we see bitcoin already reached 6 digits like $100,000, be it in euro or dollar.

Big or small amount in accumulation and continuous DCA, it doesn't matter. What matter is that you're consistent in doing it and there's always a gain on how many sats you're holding in your stack.

You have bigger expectation by holding bitcoin until reach higher price £500k - £1m and your investing in bitcoin at February when price under $17,900. But as beginner will have bigger expectation with bitcoin will reach higher price, but I have been 5 years in cryptocurrency give opinion taking profit when bitcoin reach higher price, maybe if you invested price still under $17,900 you have opportunity taking profit last several week when bitcoin almost reach above $24,000.  But keep holding exactly bitcoin drop right now to $19,000 and you have missed bigger opportunity for getting much profit. Lately you can buy back again after take profit when bitcoin almost above $24,000 because bitcoin price drop under $18,000 last several week ago.

Unfortunately, knowledge won't be enough in trading; it would be an advantage but it won't guarantee profit always. Even skilled traders suffer from losses, simply becaude the market is unstable in nature. TA's won't be a help whenever the market is going "crazy". Strategies would also help but for sure, luck will play a huge role in order to be successful in traing or even with other investments.

while predicting the bitcoin price or predicting the market will go up or down is impossible, i think we will have plenty of time to accumulate as many bitcoins as we can
as predicted by the majority, the next bull run will happen after the halving, which means it will happen in late 2024 early 2025, so we have plenty of time to fill our pockets with bitcoin
still the old saying, it's just a prediction and not a certainty so take advantage now as bitcoin is also falling sharply in price, continue dca as your original plan

Really though, as with cryptocurrencies, the trick is to not TA but instead trade narratives and be early on them. e.g. Being early on "GameFi" in 2020-2021 and such. People who bought AXS very early on made a huge killing.

My plan is to never sell and continue to be part of Bitcoin worldwide adoption as the global money. I do plan to use some of the Bitcoin to buy popcorn which I will eat while watching fiat become worthless and banks burn into ashes.

Why anyone would have a plan that includes cashing out back into fiat is a huge mystery to me. That just tells me that those people do not understand Bitcoin and will lose out big time. And they will have deserved it.

My main plan is to help Bitcoin adoption move along by helping market Bitcoin as much as I can. Hopefully you guys join in on this plan as well, instead of worrying about how much worthless fiat you can pump out of Bitcoin in the short term.

I like you plan as well as what your hope is for Bitcoin. Waiting Bitcoin getting to £500k - £1m is going great but not my plan. It is unpredictable. I love the current price of Bitcoin and I low key pray it remains this way for a long time. I DCA monthly and weekly because it is the  most convenient for me. Monthly via salary. Another way I stack up bitcoins is through my campaign earnings. This is weekly.

Your goal is what most investors also desire but due to human need at times and some challenges, we may have to sell some of our holdings in order to solve some pressing needs. It might really take long for Bitcoin to reach the goal price but if you must hold till then, I have one advice for you.
 1. Also hold some fiat so that you don't touch your
BTC holding when needs arise.
 2. You can take fiat loan and use your BTC holding as coleteral
As for me, I plan to hold till $100k above. So am making use of the above stated points so that I don't get to spend a lot of my holding before time.

And you turn out to be a sly one :) if you didn't succumb to the temptation to buy bitcoin in the winter and waited for the price to fall in the summer. Undoubtedly, you have the makings of a reasonable investor who first of all evaluates profitability and doesn't allow emotions to act rashly.

I think by the time bitxoin hits £500k - £1m, inflation will just skyrocket and "eat" up a fair share of your profits. :) How will you proceed if the bitcoin to that price is not reached within the next 20, 30, 40 and more years? Are you willing to wait that long for the sake of waiting for £500k - £1m?

get into the habit of paying in installments to buy bitcoins when the market is bear like now, usually you won't have to wait long for the next 3 or 4 years to enjoy your profits, now I'm more interested in holding all my bitcoins until the price hits $100k as I expected 2021 ago but not as expected, so I have to wait a few more years now

The fact is, there are certain things that you can do to collect bitcoins, some of the people focuses on collecting the bitcoins through things like signature campaign and stuff and certain people usually like to sell their services perse, it's an excellent option to hold your coins but you should also focus on your portfolio as well, which means that you can also try and invest in other Altcoins what that would do is to give you more opportunities and everyone knows that the price of bitcoins generally increase by the end of October, till Christmas thus I do think that if you are able to see a rise of 5-10% you would be able to encash and buy at a lower price.

The important thing is how we evaluate this period. If you trust your analysis and research, you can buy bitcoin from a safe zone. But remember, in the current situation this is pretty risky. But my plans will be in this direction.

Title: Re: What is your plan with Bitcoin?

Today the biggest plan I have is to take profit when bitcoin hits $100K in the future. I've saved up and wouldn't spend any more bitcoins if it wasn't in an emergency, this is hope as I have some fiat reserves in case I need them. But I don't mind using this reserve fund to reinvest bitcoin if the inflation we're experiencing now improves in the years to come. I still hope that there will be a lot of bitcoin price decline during this year and next year, this will give me a chance to buy it.

But no matter how good the plans we make today, it really depends on how consistently we want to always do it. It is always possible to sell at any time if at that time we need funds urgently instead of making a bank loan.

Title: Re: What is your plan with Bitcoin?

I don't buy anymore because I don't have the money to do it. The growing prices of everything around me forced me to spend more than I thought I'd have to at this time. In a way I keep buying because I don't exchange what I earn from signature campaigns, which means I indirectly DCA into bitcoin.

I still have my coins from 2014, so we could say I have more than enough to be rich if we ever hit another ATH. My goal is to keep bitcoin as long as I can, possibly give it to my kids when they grow up.
My goal is 100k USD which is the point where I'll take some profit and have some fun. Maybe buy a sailboat and spend a few years traveling. Whatever happens I'm never going to sell below 20k USD. If I won't be able to see it succeed, maybe others who inherit my coins will.

I am sure that it will reach 500k-1 million "one day" but we shouldn't expect that to happen anytime soon. I mean it will probably happen in the future but it is not going to be anytime today neither. This is why we shouldn't be really expecting the price to be like that when investing today, just hope for a 40k for example which would be 2x and that is good enough to be fair.

I am not saying it is going to be a bad idea, all I am saying is that it is going to be a decent one that would go on for a while. It is going to be a problematic thing if you have expectations, have zero expectation if you can, buy bitcoin and forget about it and be rich eventually.

I just keep buying and holding for now. In other words I do DCA (dollar-cost averaging) with my extra "not beer" money every month that I have. To be honest, I'm at a loss because from May 2022 until now I keep buying Bitcoin when they are like $30k, $20k, $21k and $23k respectively.

Now it's hanging above $19k, I would say that it might go lower before the Ethereum merge. But I don't really mind at all, as I am thinking long term by accumulating wealth overtime. If it takes me years, that's fine. Coz' I don't want to make the same mistake again ignoring Bitcoin like years ago.

This is one of the best time to invest in Bitcoin since the price is down now and we can always buy at an affordable price that really worth it before the cryptocurrency market will continue the bull trend coming as time from now. W have the time to accumulate as much coin that we want now and no one know when the next bull run will be.
Since the price is down, we just don't need to bother about what happens even though the price keep going down after now. We need to grab the opportunity now of investing as much as we can before everything goes bull.

Since I was introduce to bitcoin holding as been the goal there is opportunity for you to buy more since be price have dropped due to bear so you add to your current portfolio it helps you , there is individual plan and when it comes to trading there are different ways which crypto is traded generally  but as for me I will hold for raining days I love your target one of a quality of a good trader is to have a target when to buy and when to sell I love that cause it gives you more experience and helps in bear market. And avoid always looking at charts This period it safes you from selling.

My goal is to hold Bitcoin until it reaches £500k - £1m, i know it will take a long time but will be worth it.

The volatility and profit you are talking about is for day traders and in the short term it is not suitable for those who decide to hold long term. You cannot predict bitcoin price and the increase from $17.9k to $24k is not a big increase, too small for long term plan so too risky to trade.

If you buy at 17.9k and sell at 24k then yes you have made a profit but if bitcoin doesn't drop but continues to rise to 30k$, 40k$ then you obviously lost your chance to own bitcoin cheaply.

His target is 500k, this is a huge number and the profit is huge, so don't risk trading short term but focus on buying, buying, whenever there is a chance buy bitcoin.

I am sure that it will reach 500k-1 million "one day" but we shouldn't expect that to happen anytime soon. I mean it will probably happen in the future but it is not going to be anytime today neither. This is why we shouldn't be really expecting the price to be like that when investing today,
I don't advise people to invest in bitcoin for short term, I don't expect bitcoin price to hit that price soon, but later in the future it will definitely get their, the best thing everybody should do now is to just buy bitcoin now that it is cheap and hold, if you can hold bitcoin for long term then you are going to make good profit later in the future, but you must have the ability to hold for long term. I see some people complaining that the price of bitcoin is high already and they can't invest in bitcoin any longer, all those people will regret later in the future why they didn't invest in bitcoin now because bitcoin price is still very low.

Since then I have been DCA every week and currently own 2% of a Bitcoin at an average price of £17,900.

My goal is to hold Bitcoin until it reaches £500k - £1m, i know it will take a long time but will be worth it.
Doing DCA for Bitcoin during this crash market is such a good idea We cans till be able to wait for the next drop probably. However, it is not sure enough whether it will be dropped again or not. AT least, by doing DCA, we have been collecting more Bitcoin and utilizing the low price during this ebarish.
Well, £500k - £1m is a very high price. But, if you are really willing for the long term investment, this may probably really happen, but not know the right time it will happen.
I am personally not such long term holdier, I expect to get rising up price until the enxt bearish era and then take profits. Then, will start again doing DCA in the enxt bullish and so on.

You'd have to wait for a long time to get that price range imo. I would wait for a more realistic price if I were you, like $100k or even below. $50-$100k is a nice target I think. If you are very young then sure, wait for $500k but don't get mad if it takes multiple decades.
Indeed. Reaching the price range of £500k - £1m, should take a very long time. We don't know when it is, maybe above 10 years or decades. I never plan my investments with an uncertain time target. I am almost the same as you, I prefer to set a plan to sell my Bitcoin asset when the price can reach $100k. Preparing Bitcoin assets in the current bearish and keeping them until they are valued at $100k, seems more realistic. By the way, although we are still young, targetting to sell at $500k seems too ambitious. IMO

There are folks that are really good at trading and at the same time, they're also holding something for the long term. It's okay to trade as long as you're profitable with it. But if you fail, you can stop anytime you wish. DCA is the best strategy at all seasons and we can do that with bitcoin or any crypto that you want to have. Well, the actual plan is to see bitcoin at its best price like the prices OP has given. It's like the bet that we're willing to gamble and wait until it comes.

That's a good strategy because the price is not so expensive, and you can accumulate more. If you're DCAing every week with the current price, certainly you will gain once the market recover consistently.

Just wondering how everyone else invests in Bitcoin? How often do you buy and how long do you plan to hold?
I'm only buying if I have spare money to do so. I dont spend my Bitcoin if not really needed but there are times I take profit if really necessary. But my goal is to hold until the price reach my desired value to sell, so as much as possible I keep on accumulating through the payment of the sig where I am in and the spare money I have from my real job.

to be honest there are no specific plans towards bitcoin. I work in an office and earn a salary, when bitcoin has a bearish season it means there is an opportunity to buy. if at this time I buy and the price goes down again, then I can still buy it again with the analysis that we have planned. we know bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrencies, so it is safe to invest even long term

in terms of cryptocurrancy investment plans, everyone will definitely focus on bitcoin in the long run providing certainty of multiple profits, it's just that how to sell it is a turbulent uncertainty between the reality of life and the feeling of restraint that grows slowly into personal selfishness,
And a well-thought-out plan to collect them is a principle and throwing them away is a disaster, while selling them is an opportunity and a solution when there is no solution.

The way you said you trade means you are a long holder trader. But not everyone can be a long holder trader because their dollars are low. When the market goes down, it is very difficult for them to stay in the market. First you need to understand what is the difference between long holder Tedders and short holders?
In fact, only long traders can survive in the market because the market is unpredictable, everyone buys coins when the market is down. But the market doesn't listen to anyone, if the market goes down after buying the coin, then the shot holders will lose a lot. Because they can't buy those coins even if they want to because they have less dollars. But long holder traders can invest more after the market goes down and wait longer for the market weather and that's why long traders only benefit. So always try to be a long holder, short traders only lose money. So no one should ever trade with low dollar as your loss will be more than your profit.

I think everyone here have a same opinion like you, waiting until it reach x price and they will sold it since they think it's already expensive enough. But personally I wouldn't sold all of my coins, maybe I left around 10%-20% who knows in the future the price might reach 1 Billion (hopefully). This is why I think I will hold Bitcoin entire of my life, even until I died, I will give my private keys to my son. My son will continue my journey to hold my coins for many next generations.

Maybe what you mean is you discovered cryptos in February and then you started investing in June. The crash did actually start since last year but it only continued until this year. If you start buying right after you know cryptos then that is already a good start. The price looks like it was expensive but it isn't if you compare it on its last year's price but I like your initiative there of hodling btc for long term until those two price range you set are met.

You're right, long term hodling are always worthy. It's proven already by those who are pioneers on this space. They bought and hodl btc when it was still cheap and they just sold their coins last ath's.

Since the price of Bitcoin has decreased more in the market, which is the opportunity I have been waiting to happen before i can invest all my capital in Bitcoin to be part of those that will earn well when the price of Bitcoin hit $80,000 soon. I think, the bullish season will definitely appear before 2025 which is my main target to release all my bitcoins to market to earn well from my long term holding. Now that many people has used this opportunity to buy Bitcoin and hold for like 3 years or 2 years before they can sell to make a good profits from the market.

Doing DCA as well, same as you and what others are doing.

DCA is for me the safest and the most effective way of buying Bitcoin especially if you are a long-term holder of it. My plans with Bitcoin? I think I will hold my Bitcoins until I can buy something that will make me happy for the rest of my life like a small house maybe. I'm also planning of keeping a portion of my holdings to be used by my future child.

Hello all,

I said £500-£1m as I was under the impression we would be in that range within 10-15 years and at only 32 I would be happy waiting that long just seeing it as a retirement pot.

Maybe £200k will be more realistic and if I am able to accumulate enough over the next 12-18 months that would still be a good return.

I wish you, Goodluck dude. Having in crypto and in yourself as well make things possible and of course, with the accompany of hard work and positivity.
Honestly, it is all about how we planned our future and what things we did to make it all happen. Some people had made it long-term as long as they still have the capability to perform. But I need you to be more aware of the risk of holding huge money, If I were you, instead of saving money for the future I use it to invest outside crypto.

Indeed, the investment has a plan, especially our financial planning in buying Bitcoin, I will plan to set aside half my salary to buy Bitcoin at least in the next 2-3 years, as suggested by my friend, Wish i could do that, I wish I could have the patience to do it all.

that's a good decision and i encourage that, I will like to cheap in my little opinion regarding your decision to ensure that all your assets are not on centralized exchange but rather have them all in a decentralized exchange, moreso preferably you get a hardware wallet and have it all in with your keys well secured, if not your keys, then not your coin is a common slogan been advised on regarding wallet, security and your coins.

I am hoping these current prices last a lot longer so that we can all continue to DCA at low prices.

sure it may last but sometimes for a while because nothing is permanent in life and bitcoin remains being volatile.

Just wondering how everyone else invests in Bitcoin? How often do you buy and how long do you plan to hold?

most people invest for a long term with bitcoin as long as they are able to handle the required finance needed to do so than making use of fiat banks, but the least expected range for holding should be four years or more in other to have experience both the halving that comes with ATH in speedy bullrun.

Fortunately, I have been participating into campaign signatures since 2017 and I have saved at least some BTCs. I still plan to HODL but I treat my BTCs as "emergency cash" in the event that if I need to purchase or use it, I can quickly and conveniently convert them into our local currency.

Since I do not have a stable form of income yet, the main method of me investing is through campaign signatures. Though you would not call that investing, but it is more focused on HODLing until I am satisfied with the current price of BTC in the market.

I bought 1 bitcoin 29th june with bank loan. Although I am repaying the bank in installments at a fixed rate every month.  When my bank loan is paid off that Bitcoin will be an asset of my own.  And I plan to hold it for a long time.  At least 5 years.  Because I believe Bitcoin will become a very valuable asset in the future. Then maybe this 1 bitcoin will be enough to make me a big rich.

you are a lucky person that you have enough spare money to invest in bitcoin and hold them for long term. I personally am not that financially strong and don't have much savings that i could invest in bitcoin. whatever I earn spent on my family needs.
but for the future I definitely have the plans to invest in Bitcoin and accumulate as much as I can. and hold them until they worth millions.

I think you understand Bitcoin. Because many people think that Bitcoin will end completely because of the bad market conditions. But it will never happen. We need to hold Bitcoin for a long time. Don't worry about living with Bitcoin. You never know what the market will do.So invest your extra money here. So that even if the market goes down, you can hold bitcoin for a long time. And you have to wait for bear market or market down. If you can invest in Bitcoin when the market is down and hold it for a long time then you can definitely profit. Remember, you should forget that you are a Bitcoin holder until the Bitcoin goes up.

I'm stacking stats as much as I could, I want to live full time in Bitcoin, currently I'm living 70% exposure of my funds in Bitcoin while 30% is in fiat currency ,I almost use Bitcoin every week in purchasing stuff both online and in my country irrespective of the current ban placed on cryptocurrency transaction. As 70% of my funds is in Bitcoin, I have never regrated it since I took that very decision when my local fiat currency was traded around #350 -$1 US dollar and now guess what?, my local fiat currency is currently trading at #700-$1 united state dollar, just imagine how much I could have loosed to inflation if I had kept all my funds saved in my local fiat currency.
Therefore my game plan with Bitcoin is HODLing until a new all time highs (ATH) is achieved.

Braveness taking loan on the bank and use for investing in bitcoin, I think not easy with bitcoin unpredictable price although with how long your loan deadline days. Always have bad speculation when bitcoin price drop maybe you need to recover and finding another way how to pay Bank loan. But if got great chance taking loan and investing when bitcoin price drop not any mistake and you can sell bitcoin assets and pay all loan bank.
Maybe if you have real job you can repaying the bank in installments with your salary and hold bitcoin until five years later, but what happen keep holding after five years later and bitcoin price drop drastically? how do you find ways to pay loan bank although bitcoin have been your assets but have lower and drop price.

It is not good to invest in bitcoins with the loan money but if you have some better source of income it can be a profitable investment.

No doubt if you hold a long time Bitcoin will give you a good return. But I am not going to hold for 1 million or something like that. I want to increase my portfolio by training Bitcoin. For example, I can sell at a good price. I can take some profit from it and wait for another dip. So I can accumulate more Bitcoin and hold it for a good return. To be honest I am holding for life not for a lifetime so when I need I can sell Bitcoin and use my personal life and I can buy in deep again.

Honestly i don't have any carved in stone plans for my bitcoin, i would just just do what i think is best when i think the time is right, now i'm more concerned about learning everyday about the technology, accumulating as much as my spare money can afford, spending when i can, and converting to fiat in order to spend when i can't spend bitcoin itself, and holding some for an unspecified long period, i just feel putting a plan on it brings the pressure of trying to create wealth through the network.

I'm sure it's been done by many people over the years especially if they are not long term bitcoin holders. I like the strategy you have, but at some point you will surely regret that once you sell the price becomes higher. You may have to be patient waiting for another opportunity when the price drops, but I think you must have felt bored when the market continued to increase. I like the accumulation strategy and DCA, it can provide an opportunity to collect a lot of bitcoin also at different prices.

I don't think big things about bitcoin, but of course I hope it becomes the best choice for most countries to adopt as a means of payment. Countries like El Salvador have done it before, so I hope other countries in Europe, Asia and America will also legalize it as a legal currency. Stability is expected if this adoption continues to increase, so that the government does not have to worry about which system is good for the people to use.

Another hope is, I want to have more bitcoin in my wallet as an investment asset for old age.

A very bold and thoughtful act. I love your courage of getting loan to buy btc, but what I love most is that it seems you have a very convenient package for repayment of the loan which does not weigh you down or send you into depression. I am not against taking a loan, but there should be a workable and laid down means of re-payment.

In 5years time according to your projection you would be very comfortable certainly. Even if a bull run for a certain time is defeated by the market conditions, it cannot prevent bitcoin from having a decent bull, even if it's once.

Unlike Op that wants to hold forever, I don't like that idea. When you have good profit from bitcoin, you sell and you could have another opportunity to re-buy. But Op making projection of $500 or $1M makes me think if he is saving bitcoin for his future generations to enjoy.

The end result will always remain the determinant of some drastic steps of which I think this is one as, I can't venture that way myself. I might be a risk taker but taking loans to invest is definitely not my style.

It's a good thing you've got your plans layer out on how to repay the loans on you with the interest it might attract while you hold on to your 1btc for a 5years period. It doesn't seem like a bad plan if you could see it through. Hope you do though.

I don't follow any specific strategy. If I have some money lying around that I won't need. It goes into Bitcoin and other crypto currencies. I keep holding as long as I want. Never had to sell yet.

You invest with the right capital, it is better to use extra money than to take a loan. Although you only can buy a small number of Bitcoin, gradually the number of your Bitcoin will increase if you buy BTC continuously. This way is much safer, you will not be burdened with interest on debt and there is no need to rush to sell it because there is no urgent need. So, you can hold your Bitcoin as long as you want.  ;)

i don't expect bitcoin price to reach the highest price for now, but later in the future i will definitely get it, it may take a long time and it takes strength to be patient
You don't expect Bitcoin price to reach another ATH now since it is time for collecting (buying) BTC. You will expect it in the future when you already have a plan to sell your Bitcoin. Everyone should expect to sell their Bitcoin at Bitcoin ATH.

Investing with borrowed money is not good and should not be recommended. He is a legendary rank, I think he has enough experience and calculation in this case, I think he already has his plan, if he has an outside job and has a stable income, and is able to only pay interest and debt to the bank, there will be no problem. At the current price of bitcoin around $20k, the debt that he has is probably around $20k, within 5 years I think he will be able to pay off those debts. If bitcoin drop at that time he will not be affected and not necessarily sell them.

i don't expect bitcoin price to reach the highest price for now, but later in the future i will definitely get it, it may take a long time and it takes strength to be patient
You don't expect Bitcoin price to reach another ATH now since it is time for collecting (buying) BTC. You will expect it in the future when you already have a plan to sell your Bitcoin. Everyone should expect to sell their Bitcoin at Bitcoin ATH.

It is everyone's hope to be able to sell at the latest ATH for Bitcoin. But what we currently need to do is continue to collect them and hold them.
Bitcoin may be lower than the current price, as long as you have spare money to catch bitcoins at low prices.
Plans with bitcoin for the future should really be thought out and laid out from now on.
the future of bitcoin is still very bright and this is only the beginning.

Have you calculated how much overpayment you make to the bank on the loan? And for what period did you take out a loan? I never liked loans, I don't like being indebted to anyone, and I never even thought about taking out a loan to buy bitcoin. But it may work in the future, when bitcoin rises in price, the profits can be very substantial. The most important, to be able to repay this loan.

I was bought bitcoin at the price of $20k . I still don't rely on Bitcoin to pay off bank loans . I am repaying the bank loan in monthly installments from my real job salary . And I didn't borrow the entire 20k dollar from the bank. I borrowed an amount equal to $10k from the bank. the bank gave me loan for 36 month. Due to which every month I have to pay installments of 360$ to the bank
You have another passive income for repaying the bank loan in monthly installments I think very good ideas and keep holding bitcoin until your loan running for 36 months. I have another ideas what ever your capital coming from to invest with bitcoin loan from the bank or not keep take profit when bitcoin reach up and you can buy back later when bitcoin price going dump. I think with this kinds way you can pay loan before 36 months because you used loan from the bank as capital for trading in bitcoin not as investing assets in bitcoin.
Taking profit from bitcoin trading maybe you can pay $360 each months without use from your real job salary and you will get much profit from your trading than use loan for long term investment.

I am not sure that Bitcoin will reach such price points, to be honest, but something like 300k is probably realistic. Who knows, maybe it can go up even further, I'm just not sure because that would mean that either the global economy grew enormously by that point or that Bitcoin gets a much bigger stake of the global economy than it currently has. I don't have a particular price point, and I treat Bitcoin basically as savings (aside from a small amount I keep for gambling and from occasional donations in Bitcoin): I try not to spend it if I don't have to, but I sell for fiat when I need to. I find it an okay strategy because it means I don't have high expectations, don't rely on Bitcoin growing over time, and don't worry much about the price.

The bank ask to me 10% APR overpayment and they gave me 3 years of time. it will charge 30% of return to me . and i have borrowed $10k and i have to repay to bank total of $13k in 3 years (36 Month) I paying them $360 per month. And I am paying it to the bank every month from my real job salary. I'm not afraid of it yet.  And am I happily giving it up because I have a full of 1 bitcoin which is my future  big asset
The step you have taken is actually not preferable as it is very risky. But you have a positive side that you have another job for repaying your loan . Otherwise, a common man should invest as much as he can afford to lose. But it's true that if you can hold it for long then you will of course saw the profit. I hope you can double or triple the profit of your invested funds in two to three years. But I wouldn't suggest to anyone to do this that taking loan for trading.
I am thinking that in three years I have to pay them back all money to the bank with only 30% profit. and i believe bitcoin will make a ATH at $100k in future . if i can hold my btc atleast 5 years then it may make a new ATH then around $100k . If it works as per my target then I will get 500% profit from it . That would be a big success for me . I am waiting for that. and i believe in a words  no risk no gain

It is true that Bitcoin will cross another ATH in the next 2 years. And it will be easy to make profit with repayment of borrowed money through ATH. Besides, everyone knows what can happen when Bitcoin starts roaring.

you need to make a plan of investment in dumps. not every dump is for investing. sometime a dip gets dipper and dipper. so it is better to gain proper knowledge first and then invest only as much as you can afford to loose. do not invest all your money.
you can also increase your profit by learning trading and other earning methods.

Just wondering how everyone else invests in Bitcoin? How often do you buy and how long do you plan to hold?

I am also buying Bitcoins at the moment, like you I use a DCA where I buy coins at the end of the month for 10 months now. If I had more time and more money I would probably also buy weekly like you, unfortunately with the rising inflation I have less money available and now only for certain when I get my next paycheck. DCA seems the best approach when you want to buy continuously, it removes the pressure to buy at the lowest possible and let's us worry less about the timing issue. My current plan is very simple, reach 1 BTC. Up until this point I am not going to sell any coins. Back in 2016/17 I had already quite a lot of bitcoins but made a big mistake by selling all cryptos when I stopped trading CSGO skins. That is why I am now a HODL investor to never make the same mistake again. Even if I ever consider selling some coins again I would always keep a large amount.

With the current bear market condition, I buy every 15 days of the month which is also my salary day. I use half of the remaining amount of my salary to buy bitcoin and other crypto to prepare for the next bull run. My plan actually is to hold it for many years and just use it when I retire. If it give me a good amount of profit like 300% of my investment in the next market cycle, then I will sell some of it just to recover my capital then hold the remaining which will go in my retirement fund.

Currently the market is in the red era which is the bear only few people can possible make an earning with it because of the down price of the assets they have also this is a good opportunity to the people at the same time to buy more bitcoins and other coins at the lower price and make a hold until they reach the target multiplier of the asset profit they want. Currently my plan is to accumulate as much as possible a lot of coins until the halving and sell for the another ATH.

Those who still have a lot of budget to do short trading and buy can still earn and sell even just in small profit. The sad thing in this bear season is we didn’t expect it to go this deep to long that I am not able to save to buy and do short trading. I know some who still able to earn just in small pump or hype of their coins since they still have extra money to buy. If we’re too afraid to do short trading since it’s too risky then accumulating and considering it as a long term investment or for future profit then buying at these time can be too profitable in the future once the market recovers.

In this case, I don't think there is too much risk, he has calculated this plan quite carefully. He has a job outside, a stable income and is able to pay his debts every month. We're in bear season and bitcoin is really cheap, that's what he's counting on, if he has no other income then that is to blame.

The total interest and loan he has to pay is $13k and for 1 BTC if he can hold till next bull season and if BTC can reach $100k the profit is worth it worth what he tried. If things don't go as he calculated, bitcoin price doesn't hit $100k then he also has his own asset of 1BTC.

You still have time to find good gains from Bitcoin as long as the steps you build are always better and never make mistakes. Because learning about crypto with persistence and running an activity as a job you love is a very wise thing and it can lead you in a better direction. So keep studying wisely.

you need to make a plan of investment in dumps. not every dump is for investing. sometime a dip gets dipper and dipper. so it is better to gain proper knowledge first and then invest only as much as you can afford to loose. do not invest all your money.
you can also increase your profit by learning trading and other earning methods.
That is one suggestion that should also be considered. Because investment is not something that must be forced if the ability is still not above average. This means that investment is something that anyone can do with the basic knowledge they already have and also every investor must understand the risks so that there will be no regrets when he gets a loss through the investment he made.

I buy bitcoins when I get paid from this forum, can't buy bitcoins every week because I invest by putting aside my work, and sometimes if I need money I sell my btc, and buy again when the price drops
my plan is if the btc that I have currently will hold it until btc is priced at 80-90k $ if it arrives hopefully I can hold my bitcoins
indeed holding bitcoin is not an easy problem, moreover we already have a clear target, but psychological pressure is always there, when we already have a profit and have not reached the target then our minds will be affected if bitcoin experiences a dump again. therefore it takes mental resilience to hold bitcoin until the bullish season comes and the target is achieved. and of course for now it is suitable to collect bitcoin

That can be still viewed as a good thing while hodling bitcoins while those specific countries are not open to allowing the hodlers to do simple bitcoin transactions yet, just keep them and refrain from spending them in casinos that accept cryptocurrencies but if such actions can't be avoided then it's much better to convert them first into some other altcoins that aren't so volatile, unlike bitcoin to avoid losses in the future.
Just be optimistic mate because sooner or later, your country will be more open and starts accepting bitcoin transactions. Just hod it for now! ;)

The steps you take by buying Bitcoin when you get paid from this forum are very precise and very good. But when you invest by putting aside your main job and selling Bitcoins that you already have when you need money, it is a very inappropriate and very bad step because it will make you a little less consistent in carrying out your investments and also in storing the Bitcoins you have bought. So how can you hold Bitcoin for $80K - $90k if you always sell Bitcoins when you need money?

indeed holding bitcoin is not an easy problem, moreover we already have a clear target, but psychological pressure is always there, when we already have a profit and have not reached the target then our minds will be affected if bitcoin experiences a dump again. therefore it takes mental resilience to hold bitcoin until the bullish season comes and the target is achieved. and of course for now it is suitable to collect bitcoin
Not everyone is able to hold on for the long term if they don't have a side job to cover their current needs, because if you only talk about mentality to someone, maybe it will. But as for the patience of each person in holding Bitcoin, I think it is a little different for each person because those who have no other job and only rely on profit on Bitcoin, then they are very rarely able to hold Bitcoin in the long term when they need money suddenly.

That is something lacking unfortunately.I also hope this happens soon and I am surprised Amazon and other big worldwide marketplaces has not already start accepting it,it would only bring them benefits as it will translate in more people buying things there.

There are small websites, like investments ones, paid to click, traffic exchange, data entry typing sites that accept it or offer to pay with it but unfortunately this is a very low number of businesses online accepting and dealing with cypto in general that also has a very specific user base.

I believe most of the target for bitcoin investors (especially beginners) is price, not planning a long enough time frame.
it is difficult to hold bitcoin in the long term. but everyone in the market knows, that bitcoin will be better suited for the long term. not like short gains from trading. bitcoin has shown tremendous growth over the past few years.
someone who is thinking about long-term investment. must have firmness in holding. if out of necessity it is very easy to take it off, I think trading would be more suitable.

As we all know, the price of BTC is down, which is the right time to buy and hold. I am currently buying little by little every weekend till I  achieve my goal and target of holding more bitcoin. My prayer is that the market should be in my favour as I buy more and hold before the next bull run. I think bitcoin still has a long way to go as it is in its early stage. So, therefore, huge profit is possible.

The steps you take by purchasing Bitcoin when you get compensated from this discussion are extremely exact and awesome. However, when you contribute by setting to the side your primary work and selling Bitcoins that you as of now have when you want cash, it is an extremely improper and exceptionally terrible step since it will cause you somewhat less predictable in completing your ventures and furthermore in putting away the Bitcoins you to have purchased. So how might you hold Bitcoin for $80K - $90k in the event that you generally sell Bitcoins when you really want cash?

Buying bitcoin now is an opportunity but holding long term needs a lot of patience. Good for those financially capable because they can hold it without worry about their capital investment even it will be stuck for long term because after bear market bitcoin will surely bounce back. Although we don't know when it will happen, just have patience.

Not only buying and opportunities but we must have a strategy in long-term bitcoin investment, we do now still have the opportunity to buy Bitcoin because it says the price is still low but if buying more is difficult and requires big finances then do it with my DCA strategy I think they understand how to run DCA but that's the most important thing when the opportunity is still there we can still do this routinely this of course requires patience but it will not be a pressure on others to become an obstacle, therefore any opportunity must be done optimally by us .

In my opinion those who will invest in Bitcoin now are better to invest extra money. Because now the bear market is going on and it is not known when this bear market will end, so if you invest in Bitcoin now, you have to leave the thought of the invested money, because if you invest in BTC now for profit, you will have to wait for a long time. And since you have to wait for a long time, you cannot hope time withdraw the investment money there. So it is better to invest your extra money. So that later you will not have any other problem for that money.

Always been a thing when I got freelance job and other source of income for my main source of income, a small portion of that salary I will put it into Bitcoin. The goal about how much Bitcoin I have to save up is undecided because as long as I can live with it until I'm old and have happy kids then it's already enough for me, sure you can set up the goal so high but if you can't use it then that's pointless.

Just wondering how everyone else invests in Bitcoin? How often do you buy and how long do you plan to hold?
The current market conditions are very suitable for buying and investing in Bitcoin, but everyone has different strategies and procedures, and I myself prefer this right time to invest in Bitcoin by taking advantage of these bear market conditions and taking the timeframe. long for this. regarding how long I hold on, maybe for the time being I can't give an exact answer.

The market system is not good now, it is not possible to say when the market will be fixed. But it is true that many people are profiting by trading even in this bad market. It depends on your experience. The better you understand the market, the better you can survive in the market. And now is the perfect time to invest in BTC and hold it for the long term. But many are profiting from short trading. But btc condition is very bad if you short trade then you must use  stop loss all the time. Because you can't tell when the market will bad or good. If you use stop loss then you can avoid taking loss. So I will tell you that if you do short trade in this bad market then you must always use stop loss.

My plan with Bitcoin: I would explain it to my loved ones and give it to them as a gift. I want them to continue my story until the last block is mined. I want them to be able to tell my experiences when all the coins have been created in about 2140 and they have the chance to experience it. I will not be able to do that. That is my plan and I hope you, my darling, read this many years from now and I am proud that you are doing it for me. In Love, your Daddy.

It is a good way to get good profit by investing on Bitcoin. Actually it is a long time trading. Obviously holding is the best strategy to get higher profit. When we get some profit from our investment then we sell it but we should hold it for future. May be a little amount can change our lifestyle.

Yes, this is an opportunity. accumulate as much as you can in this bear market as I dont think we'll see these prices again.

If we take a look at the history.

2014-15 bear market low was $155 ( This price was not seen in 2018-19)
2018-19 bear market low was $3100 (Which seems almost impossible to see in this bear cycle)
Similarly, we won't see $17k (or this bear cycle's low) in the next bear cycle. IMO

It's been a long time since I have actually bought bitcoin with my own money. I think I haven't purchased a single satoshi in the last 4 to 5 years. I provide certain services and freelance for bitcoin. Earning through signature campaigns is an additional benefit and earning opportunity. I would suggest finding something you are good at and making it your part time job. Get paid in bitcoin instead of investing and trading on exchanges. When you start talking to people and potential customers, it might surprise you how many of them want to deal in bitcoin although that wasn't originally the plan.

Hi all,

I started investing in crypto February this year but due to the high price of Bitcoin did not start investing in it until mid June just after the crash.

Since then I have been DCA every week and currently own 1% of a Bitcoin at an average price of £11,900.

My goal is to hold Bitcoin until it reaches £500k - £1m, I know it will take a long time but will be worth it.

I am hoping these current prices last a lot longer so that we can all continue to DCA at low prices.

Bitcoin has generated new life lasting gemütlichkeit that cherish, and commodity we can each come together with in our affinity we partake for this digital coin. Indeed with fully opposing views we can each agree on one thing, that Bitcoin is the stylish form of plutocrat.

It has allowed me to delight in my success, and has churned my stomach at the same time. I suppose the stylish thing that Bitcoin has done for me is to be suitable to HODL and ride the storm, because have held since 2018 I have seen a many bears and bulls, and actually that experience has made me more flexible. That experience has transcended beyond Bitcoin to the point that I'm confident that I can endure through any fiscal burden or difficulty, Lord willing.
Bitcoin has made me do my exploration, has made me more passionate in doing so, & has also helped me to stay ahead of the wind. I can go on and on, but I realized that I have not really posted in a little while, and so I wanted to see what all of your studies are towards this.

I have a plan to keep holding them for 10 years. I've waited for the next to Bullr un before I sell them while still accumulating during the bear season. I hope I could make it and hope that I was still in good health so I don't have the reason to touch them and reach my goal. I've tried to ignore the market updates and tried not to check the market price often to make sure that I was really far from emotional stress and remain calm.

Actually you came here very late for the investment into the bitcoin. But the market is bearish,So this is good opportunity for you to inverse at low price.Current price is 1/3 of the old price of 60k dollars. So use the opportunity to inverse at the bearish, then market will pump you earn more from it.Don’t get panic and don’t make emotions to run your trading business. We crossed up heavy pandemic, this bearish is nothing on comparing of pandemic situation.

There is no late term in investing in bitcoin, speculative price movements make bitcoin an alternative investment that does have high prospects in the future, currently the bitcoin price has fallen far from the ATH that has ever happened and considering the many adoptions made by the world community of bitcoin at this time certainly gives a prospect if the ATH can be repeated again later, I think it's better to buy now when the price is cheap than later when the price goes up again and we regret it because we hesitate to buy.

It seems that it is never too late to invest in Bitcoin, but if you look at it from a developmental point of view now you are right, he is late in this and maybe he is new to Bitcoin and understands it..

So this is good opportunity for you to inverse at low price
It's perfectly right to take advantage of this bear market we can all buy and hold on to either the long term or the short term, but I'd rather recommend for the long term.

The plan I am currently running as long as the bitcoin price is down, just HODL and also do DCA by buying monthly from my work salary which I have prepared 20% or 15% of my salary to buy bitcoin after I prioritize all my needs and hold it for the long term .
seeing bitcoin only going up and down a bit, i think doing DCA is the best option, and i always believe that bitcoin price will go up and continue to rise above the highest ATH, and no matter how long i have to wait.

Just wondering how everyone else invests in Bitcoin?
There are two things, when I want to trade then I buy to sell when the selling price is higher. But when I decide to invest then I will decide to hold it long term ignoring a lot of price volatility.

How often do you buy and how long do you plan to hold?
I don't think it matters because it actually varies a lot for everyone. The first thing is the issue of funds, it will greatly determine how often I buy. The second problem is the entry price, obviously I will not enter when the price is high but my buying strategy is to buy when the price is lower. No matter how often you buy and how long it lasts, it's just an individual strategy.

Please don't tell other people that they are late for their investment. It kinda does the discouragement for them to still hold more Bitcoin. It is kind of blaming myself as well that I did not invest in Bitcoin back in 2013 when it was sooooo cheaper, but meh I still bit the bullet and risked it anyway since it was still kind of going over 10k back in 2017 when I got my first Bitcoin and it still paid off regardless even if I went through harsh winter seasons after it fell down 6k. It was all worth it nonetheless.

Surely many people could had still bought the price of Bitcoin right now.

Using DCA every time I bough bitcoin was certainly all set for my long term investment so I won’t be here for just a month or two but definitely for few years of hodling. That’s my plan about bitcoin, and just seize every opportunity that comes wherein I can still add bitcoin to my portfolio because I always have strong belief that the more you store bitcoin, the higher the profits you will reap in the future.

I also started collecting bitcoins in 2022. when the price is below $19,000. and I also have a plan that is almost the same as the OP. but my target is not to $500,000. but only $100,000. because that level is closest and most realistic to the current situation. following the halving period is what I think.

They are late but not too late. Late in the way that it will not be doing 1000% every cycle anymore like it used to. Today for bitcoin to do 100% is difficult and the next cycle will maybe double the last ATH if we're lucky, not like in 2017 where it went 2000% up. It's a great investment though. Most fiat currencies are above 10% inflation. If Bitcoin doubles in value in a year you'll do great compared to other investments.

Well, talking about the maximum gain. I'm one of the people that will hold for long but I don't think that I can maximize the gain that I can. As long as I'm in profit in due time, that will be the best day of my life to take.
I know some people have been holding for years like starting from 2013 or even by 2011 up to know. They might have sold a little but it's rare to see them that until now, they're still holding and can be said that they have finally maxed their gain but still holding.

Hoping to see merchants accepting crypto because that would be the next big thing here.

With that Volatility it is a to big risk for many retailers, I worked in one for years. The margin of many products is not that big to compensate Bitcoins price dumps. And they can't hodl long-term like we private investors can do. Free cashflows is king.

I think Bitcoin is foundation of crypto market and will going to be that in foreseeable future. So I will collect as many Bitcoin as possible and will use them somewhere in future. For me I think if all go well i will invest and forget and will open my account after a long gestation period.
Same as you, I can never see any crypto that will even surpass bitcoin in the future (other than if a serious issue will be discovered) which is also why I will be holding on my coins as long as possible and try to accumulate in the process. Right now, I have no reason to withdraw or trade it into fiat anytime soon as I earn salary on my job to support my needs and wants. Also, I try to invest on other crypto and try to earn during this time where the market is unstable and at least earn some profit on which I turn some percentage of my monthly profit on Bitcoin.

Unfortunately, I cannot collect and forget as crypto is already a part of my daily activity, however I always try not to lessen the coins I've accumulated.

My plan on my Bitcoin - I am holding or leaving it untouched until several scenarios happens. I got familiar with Bitcoin and cryptocurrency not to earn, I was interested more in technology, how things work, how they can be used. That is why trading and earning was never my goals. My salary is enough for my needs. Only if I will be in situation of huge financial troubles, I would consider turning my crypto holdings into fiat. Second scenario - mass adoption or when it will be convenient to use crypto instead of fiat and there will be numerous places where to spend crypto. I am not a fan of sell crypto, convert it, transfer funds, top up card, use card to pay. To many actions for me. When I would be able to come to any or most popular place, bring phone close to terminal to pay with crypto - then I will use it. Until then - only holding.

I feel excited today. because I managed to collect back BTC in the area that I have bought. and I'm still waiting for a repurchase in the deeper areas.

so my plan about bitcoin is to keep collecting it for now. and I see the support that must be tested this time is very strong. so maybe I will start buying more in the support area now. i.e. areas 17-18.
but if it is penetrated. then I will also prepare a buy entry at the bottom around 12-15. but I hope bitcoin can bounce back from the current price.

all I can do is just keep collecting bit by bit. while waiting for the market to return to positive. whether it's this year or next year.

Forgetting them for a while is also a good way for us to hold on to the long term without being psychologically affected by the market situation. This method should be applied to new acquaintances or those who cannot control their emotions.

My holding goal is profit, and getting rich in the future so I will focus on accumulating as many bitcoins as possible. I have a fairly stable source of income so investing in crypto or holding bitcoin has almost nothing to do with my daily expenses, so I never intended to sell my bitcoins before bitcoin hit $300k or more.

Right now I am not doing that at all, I feel like debt should be something we use to get assets and not liabilities, and unfortunately I had to spend a good chunk of money on liabilities, the household stuff, the technology has improved a lot and everything I need to get for my house got a lot more expensive, and now I am doing basically a renovation of the items, getting the new tech ones, and the biggest cost was PC, so I am in big debt.

Instead of accumulating more bitcoin which I know I should do, I am paying off my debt for the time being, hopefully I could do that easily, and eventually I will be able to cover a lot more of them, and when it's over I will be spending the same amount of money on buying bitcoin for sure.

Sometimes it is difficult to time the market with perfect entries and exits, so take multiple entries at every low price and partially take profits after bitcoin reaches all time high again.

Planning requires a certain degree of security in order to be able to look into probable outcomes.
Bitcoin is still too volatile even for probable outcomes. We can't plan safely yet.
We should take it into account and notice, how uncertainties are still part of Bitcoin, but it will become less over time.

DCA is a great way to recover losses or make profits. I like to invest in other crypto as well as BTC. But current market situation is very unstable. I have bought some and i will wait until it reaches 20/25% profit. Then i will DCA again. Now it's time for me to go hibernate in this crypto winter. My plan is to never sell and continue to be part of Bitcoin worldwide adoption as the global money. I do plan to use some of the Bitcoin to buy popcorn which I will eat while watching fiat become worthless and banks burn into ashes.
Maybe your wish will come true even though you have to wait a long time, but for now it would be better to hold Bitcoin and continue to adopt this Bitcoin.

My main plan is to help Bitcoin adoption move along by helping market Bitcoin as much as I can. Hopefully you guys join in on this plan as well, instead of worrying about how much worthless fiat you can pump out of Bitcoin in the short term.
The same goal, there are several people on this forum who are doing the same thing as you, especially including me one of the people, without realizing it we all belong to the group of people you invite to join and plan to continue to adopt Bitcoin and will market it.

Yes, right decision to Dollar Cost Average (DCA)
I also think it will move to 100k+ soon. May be in next year. We will be able to see BTC at 100K. 500K is big target for selling it will come but I think it will take too long to reach at 500K£.

in the end Holder will win. if he is strong enough to hold up to the highest price then he is really great. not everyone can be strong enough to hold BTC in a bear market situation like now. but if BTC is bought from its current price which is around 18k then holding it for a long time can be an easy thing. because it is not too worried even though the price continues to fall. because the drop from this point won't be too far I think.

This is the best decision we can all make in having a great asset like Bitcoin which in due time to make us very wealthy 8f we can take the opportunity now to keep buying and and buying whether the market keep falling or not. Those who bought Bitcoin at $10 making years ago taking the risk when others keep complaining that Bitcoin will never reach $100 can see for themselves that it is a matter of time for the market to change a new look. We don't need to wait for when the market will start going bull before we keep buying. Buy now ams enjoy the bull market tomorrow.

Soon as possible selling when bitcoin reaching to higher price and got change although 5% until 10%. I am waiting few days or weeks later bitcoin price will drop drastically again and become my time for re investing with bitcoin.

Trough bitcoin still drop under $30,000 I haven't planning yet to be long term holding with bitcoin until 2024 and looks more profitable with short term investment than become long term holding. We have different ideas about long term or short term investment with bitcoin, but looking on how bitcoin price dump and pump in few time open my minds try with short term holding more profitable than used technical with long term holding.

Your first paragraph is confusing me. You said, you invest in February this year and did not invest due to the high price until June when the price has come down. It is confusing.

Well, everybody like to buy it in the bear Market and store or hold it until the bullish started. But that amount you are predicting is very high and it is not easy for someone who is not doing a good job preferably government job to keep his or her money for these long period of time. It is a good investment if it is only the investor can endure it. And also if the person had a backup financial assistance. Statistic says that the bear Market will end in probably April next year and the bull will be starting gradually from there. Not everyone will Invest for this long term Investment. Yet some will do it.

I am also holding my bitcoins for the next bull cycle which is probably be taking place after 2024. In previous bull cycles I did the mistake of taking profits quickly and buying back again. This gave me some profits but not much. The best way to trade this bitcoin market is to buy in the bear times and take profits at / near the top of bull market. Sometimes it is difficult to time the market with perfect entries and exits, so take multiple entries at every low price and partially take profits after bitcoin reaches all time high again.

Don't try to find the lowest and the highest, it's impossible. The simplest way to make a profit is to buy bitcoin in a bear market, try to accumulate as much as possible and only start selling in a bull market.
As a way to avoid regretting selling at an unexpected price, it is essential that you plan yourself from the beginning, sell only when you reach your goal, and follow your plan as closely as possible. If you don't have a plan, chances are you'll get emotional and make decisions you'll regret.

i am currently also starting to collect bitcoins again after a few years of stopping in the crypto world. every month i buy bitcoins with my salary from working in the company and i have a target of at least 3 or 4 btc in the next few years. i don't expect how much the price of btc will go up for sure for me bitcoin is a very rare asset and will probably become more expensive in the future.
and maybe i will continue to collect btc and i will pass it on to my children or grandchildren later when i get old. because at this time i have started to give understanding about bitcoin to my children so that when i am old there will be someone who will pass on my assets.
and all this can be said that my way this is a long term investment in bitcoin

you are amazing mate, of course not everyone is awarded something that needs to be appreciated from what is there from the intention that you are going to do. saving every moment of the purchase through the salary you get is certainly not easy and must have a strong will. but won't you change your mind when your bitcoin deposit is worth over $100K more not to sell it? Obviously this is not an easy challenge because after the increase it is certain that it will go down again and repeat it every 4 years to increase higher than before.
obviously wiser with long-term investment intentions, but not to overlook an increase that would otherwise need to be released and repurchased after a downturn.

unless he is earning 5 figures a month ? I'm afraid he is going to settle accumulating those target bitcoins as the price continuously increases each year though in Bear market there is a much better chances to earn and gain.

What I did in the past is to invest small amount in risky altcoin that has cheap price and when I earned ? i convert them into bitcoin.

aside from my weekly investments from my payroll money.

You need to invest when you already have reserve savings, so that in case of unforeseen circumstances you do not have to think about selling the purchased bitcoin. It is a big mistake to invest all the savings that you have, because we cannot anticipate force majeure situations that may occur in our lives.

I started buying after putting aside a reserve, now I buy a little every time when I can do that. I try to buy more now while we are in the bear market phase as I think this is the best time to invest. I don’t know when I want to sell, the main thing for me is to know that my coins are getting more expensive, and if I know that there is a sufficient amount on my wallet, that will allow me to leave work and do whatever I want, then my goal will be achieved.

of course a good way has been done by our friend len01 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=854735) by investing slowly through Purchases using part of his salary, of course this is not easy to do and required of high dedication.
It's natural that our friend glendall (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=44649) was amazed, because I was also interested in the way len01 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=854735).
Once again, this is the right time to be able to carry out these good intentions.
because besides that the price is going down and there is still quite a long time to continue making purchases in installments to be able to keep in the wallet.

It is like putting money in your piggy bank on a monthly basis. It is really a good idea to set aside a portion of your salary to buy bitcoin, and especially now that December is coming up with a lot of bonuses and the 13th month that the employees received, it is best to get a percentage of it right now and buy a bitcoin for good. It is also the best time to buy since the price is low right now.

I only buy Bitcoins when the price drops and if I have (fiat) money. If I don't have the money to buy, I won't push myself.

Some people may actually hold bitcoins without selling them at all. I don't. I still convert it to fiat when I need it, and I will hold the rest with this absurd dream: 1 Satoshi = $1 (if the US Dollar is still the reference).

Long term investment, basically. Also Bitcoin as a way to transfer value to my friends and family when it is necessary.
I am hoping to accumulate some satoshis so I can hopefully cash out in the future, realize some earnings to help to pay a car or the initial for an apartment here in my country, where real state is relatively cheap.

Life is unpredictable, so there is a good chance I end up changing completely my plans, though.
In the end, I believe we all should have a minimum of financial education to reach what we want with our investments.

Bitcoin is really a nice investment and despite it's volatility, there are a whole lot of investment and business opportunities in Bitcoin.
It seems from your lost you already have lots of knowledge in Bitcoin already especially when to buy and when not to buy, but the general truth is that we should always buy Bitcoin at every little opportunity that we grab.
Bitcoin has come to stay and it is the investment of the future but one thing that bothers me is the mentality that has been instilled in people as if selling Bitcoin when they make some profit is wrong and this is bad because the general concept of saving or investment is to back something to fall back when the need for money arises without bothering anyone.
I always buy Bitcoin at every instance I get, and I'm holding as much as I can.

I've been into bitcoin for a while. My personal strategy is allocating 100% of my portfolio to bitcoin no matter what the price is. It feels like the natural thing to do because trading implies third party risk and FIAT money implies trust. The only way I can be 100% certain about my money in a comfortable way, is holding bitcoin. I would have never regret loosing money on bitcoin as much as I would regret having ignored such a brilliant idea in case of being successful.

Some people might consider this strategy greedy, but for me, what's greedy is blindly believing in the FIAT money fraud. Allocating 100% of your portfolio to bitcoin will likely work for big portfolios or young people, specially given the current price circumstances.

If you're trying to say that we should always buy when prices fall, not really. I can't always buy when the market crashes, because I don't always have (fiat) money on hand. As I said before, I only buy when the price drops and if I have money.

So we need to apply a very good strategy whenever dealing with top coins in the space.

Theory is not that easy neither, because lack of studying how to become a better investor or trader is something people rarely do. So that means they are not ready to practice and lack of experience is not the only problem.

People should study for months before they spend a single dollar in crypto world, and learn how to be great at what they want to do, and when they feel like they know it all, then lack of experience will become the issue and with more experience and studying they will do wonders. However, people just join right away without studying at all, and that is a key aspect of these things, they should be focusing a lot better on how they should get ready.

I don't buy bitcoins. I try to not spend the ones I earn from online tasks and jobs. This way I can grow my holdings for the future. I regret for not having sold my coins on the last bull run of 2021, so I could have built my patrimony by acquiring a piece of land and making it productive for a living. So I hope we have another chance in the next few years to see bitcoin rising again to the previous ATH or even higher prices ranges. If that happens, I won't waste the opportunity twice, I'm definitely going to sell my BTC, because I'm too tired of waiting and seeing my life going by without further development...

Because my goal of investing in bitcoin is for the long term. then of course I also continued to do the DCA Strategy.
But I often change my DCA strategy.

Initially, I just kept buying gradually every week or every month (depending on the readiness of the money I had) and without paying attention to the price I got when I bought it.

But then I changed my DCA buying strategy by placing a buying entry at a certain price point where bitcoin is expected to pass. so that I don't have to worry about missing a purchase when the bitcoin price drops drastically.
and of course after the purchase entry is filled, I immediately transfer it to my personal wallet, which is specifically for long-term investments.

But around these few weeks or months Iam back to slightly modified my DCA strategy in collecting Bitcoins. then I adjust to market conditions or global economic analysis. because in reality decisions and policies such as World Bank interest rates. always have an effect on rising and falling prices. and this can be used to decide when is the right time to enter. because it's for the long term. then I think I should be more careful in accumulating. with maximum analysis can keep us away from excessive feelings of fear.

and remember DCA is done so that our average purchases become relatively cheaper when accumulated. so that we get the maximum profit when one day the bullrun comes.

whatever our investment plan for bitcoin. sometimes a change of plans is necessary.

Just wondering how everyone else invests in Bitcoin? How often do you buy and how long do you plan to hold?

That is a huge profit and long way to go. I think you should forget that you are holding a bitcoin since it will take decades or more to reach this, but Bitcoin is very volatile, so we really don't know. If you continue to monitor the price of bitcoin on a daily basis, I believe you should lower your target price, even if it reaches $100,000, because you've already made a lot of profit on it. My plan is  I only sell it when I need it, so it will be a few years before I sell it, depending on the price so that I do not lose money.

Since then I have been DCA every week and currently own 2% of a Bitcoin at an average price of £17,900.
Doing DCA for now until I have live saving for retirement so I can inherit the wealth to my kids when the time comes. If you can reach the highest price "possible" for Bitcoin in next decade then maybe that's good for you but  I will keep it real and just withdraw it how many profit you can capable to handle of and I can let my kids use the partial of that wealth for their generations. I think that's my plan for now.

Few years back i never truly understood how all the whole bitcoin ecosystem worked and i had a novice view towards bitcoin and i was thinking that it was just one of those platforms where you get triple of your capital when you just invest for little time.  so i told my friend to buy for me and was expecting it to increase the following day but i never knew that bitcoin was a votalile currency and can change its rate at any given time. But after been introduced into the bitcoin forum atmosphere i understood alot more about how the bitcoin system works and currently now that we are experiencing a  bear market i decided to buy as much BTC as i can to hold it until the market rises again like that of 2020 then am sure the BTC i bought might have risen to significant value and am planning to hold as long as I can ...

So for am holding my btc until the market gets to a significant amount.

I think huge expected and almost seems impossible with Bitcoin price target above $500,000 current price right now still under $17,000, I think many people over confidence when targeting about Bitcoin price until $100,000 without check with current price early. I know with any impossible thing in cryptocurrency and Bitcoin potential reach highest price, but think realistic with Bitcoin still under $17,000 in this month and drop price at this years seems little possibility for Bitcoin can reach highest price again above $100,000.

Sure Bitcoin have potential back to higher price again but I think stuck under $60,000 seems realistic with many community will used short position at future trading and make many bad news for Bitcoin can drop after reach highest price.

I have a new plan with Bitcoin. I wasn't that aware of the DCA system at the beginning of the forum. Gradually I understand and learn about DCA. I quite like the DCA method and would like to make future investments using this method. Bitcoin halving is not long, I am looking for an additional source of income using the DCA method, hoping to pick up a part time job in the first week of February. I intend to invest in Bitcoin consistently for long term following the DCA method every week as per my plan.

There is nothing wrong with selling Bitcoin, but only if the holder understands when is a good time to buy and when to sell. For example, you can buy only in a bearish market using DCA, and sell only in a bullish market, no sooner than the price reaches ATH, but you also need to set realistic goals. You should not expect that Bitcoin will be able to do x10 - x20 every cycle, Bitcoin is becoming a large capitalization asset, and most likely it will change.

Since this long bear run occur in the market, I don't think I can hodl more than 5 years before I can sell to make profits from the market because it look like the bull run will happen this new year because I know that the price will not fall down to $40k before it will increase higher.

I know that before the end of 2026, the price of BTC will reach $80k which is my target before I will sell the little BTC I bought when the price was low in the past, but the price of BTC to hit that amount you are expecting before you can sell, I think it will take you a long hodling before it will come to reality.

I am investing in DCA method with weekly earnings and there is no other way to invest by buying bitcoins. DCA approach to investment is the best investment approach. Anyone can increase investment using DCA method if they want. I always appreciate your investment method you will reach your goal very soon and Bitcoin will definitely go from $500k to $1M but you should continue investing with DCA method for more time.

OP, the step you have taken to invest in Bitcoin is really commendable. The best way to invest in Bitcoin is to invest in the DCA method. In DCA method if even a low income person invests slowly then the investment amount will be much higher at one stage. OP, you should be patient and keep investing in DC method, halving is going to happen this year, hope you get a lot of profit in 2025.

However I am currently investing in the DCA method. I don't have a lot of income, but I am investing in DCA method from a small income. I can't afford to buy 1 bitcoin, but my goal is to increase my bitcoin amount a lot.

If your goal is to hold Bitcoin for a long time then this is a great objective for you and your future. If you have a good amount of bitcoins then it will definitely help you to make good profits in future. If you bought Bitcoin using the DCA method, you are definitely in a huge profit right now because the price of Bitcoin was much lower at the time you bought it. Since you plan to hold long-term when you hold until $500k - $1M you will definitely get something valuable, but definitely use a wallet to keep your money safe.

If you want to increase the fraction of your bitcoins, you must always adopt the DCA method. When you continue to buy Bitcoins using DCA you will have a lot of profit and you will benefit. If you can buy regularly or once a month using DCA method from a low price then it will definitely be worth it for you and you have good earning potential from it in future.

Just wondering how everyone else invests in Bitcoin?
Most of the people who are smart invest bitcoins using DCA method and they get a lot of profit using this method. When I was not using DCA I used to suffer loss most of the time but since started using DCA method I have gained trading and investing.

Quote
How often do you buy and how long do you plan to hold?
People always buy bitcoins with long-term plans and this is the most important element of investing only to hold. You will not be able to earn well unless you are able to hold so you only buy and hodl for long term. I always plan to buy using DCA once or twice a month to invest and hold and try to hodl it until the bull market. Of course, I plan to hold the fractional bitcoins I currently have long-term and sell them until the bitcoin price reaches the maximum ATH.

Well its okay to do DCA that is one of the alternatives when it comes to investing in bitcoin and want to hold t for long term but the thing is don't just buy and buy whenever you want and you can, because as I see many saying they also do DCA method and nothings wrong about that, but you are missing a big point, even you are doing DCA you still need to consider the market, I mean you should know how to analyze the market because yes you are just buying a portion of bitcoin but of course if you buy in a wrong position and the price goes down then the portion you've brought that time might be liquidated, meaning your portion of that satoshi will be gone, so always be careful before you brought bitcoin, always move with caution and always analyze the market or your move to the market.

That's really the best way to take advantage of Bitcoin's volatility by depending on when to invest in the market cause if you all your funds into investment. Well, there's also nothing wrong since it's still an investment if you invested at the right time you would be riding to the moon. DCA method is a good way to invest as long as you are consistent cause you wouldn't have to think of a huge amount for investment but a good timing when to enter the market.

That's the important thing in investment is that you have a goal, cause if you don't have any goal to achieve for sure you would be selling at the time that Bitcoins moved into the market. Without any plan could also lead to unwise calls and decisions. No need to rush to accumulate 1 Bitcoin, take your time and eventually we will get there.

OP I've been investing my bitcoins with the dollar cost averaging method for several years like you. But my plan is not so big like yours. The dollar cost averaging method is best for those who do not have the money or ability to purchase large amounts of bitcoins at once. Those with low incomes can invest in Bitcoin very comfortably using the Dollar Cost Averaging method. My plan is that I want to hold Bitcoin for 10 years and sell it when the price of Bitcoin goes above $100,000.

I am investing or saving my bitcoins for my children's future. My plan was to invest in bitcoins when my investment in bitcoins completes ten years when my child is about 13 years old then I will use my investment money for him

You don't know it yet but you'll eventually hit big and the amount that you're investing in DCA will go up and it will eventually snowball, build other forms of income so you're increasing your investment even just a little, hardwork goes a long way as you combine it with smarts and knowledge of different ways to make money, you'll be fine. The moment that you've invested in bitcoin, you've secured your future somehow that you're not going to go zero with your money anymore because you're financially smart and aware just like most of us here and that awareness is learned here because we want to maximize what we've got and not regret doing something wrong with our investments.

How long have you been investing and accumulating bitcoin? Because according to your plan, you will hold for 10 years and only sell when the bitcoin is over 100k USD. Meanwhile, I think it won't take bitcoin another 10 years to hit $100k, and it could even happen next year . So will you sell your bitcoins or will you continue to hold on for the next 10 years ?

I think the plan sounds simple but holding bitcoin for 10 years is not easy. You will actually do that if you temporarily forget about your investment and you are a well-off person with enough money to spend the next 10 years without needing this money . Except for those who bought and then forgot about bitcoin or rich people with excess money who can do this, for retail investors like us, I have not seen anyone who can do that.

The step of taking advantage of the (Dollar Cost Averaging) method or often called DCA to invest in bitcoin is very helpful even though only with limited income but I think being consistent in this investment will help increase the amount of bitcoin over time. With this shared method I will try and hopefully get a significant profit in order to achieve success in the halving journey that is expected to occur this year.

My plan: Hold as much as I can afford to hold long term. When needing cash flow, then aim to sell in lots around 1 year after each halving. Buy back in around DCAing in around 1-1.5 year before each halving.

I will however hold it for 10 years as I am financially well off. Apart from the Bitcoin investment method I have other side of earning money like I have a small business and I am working in a private company.
I judged everything and then decided to invest in Bitcoin and also decided to go long for ten years at best.

It's already been three years of my investment and I've been investing in Bitcoin monthly for these three years using Dollar Cost Averaging method. I decided to keep some of my earnings in the bank but later I decided instead of keeping it in the bank I invested it in bitcoins and I will extend that investment up to 10 years.

If you have set a target of 100000 dollars with your investment then you can reach your target very quickly. Reaching $100,000 is not my point. Various market experts have analyzed that Bitcoin will reach $100,000 next year after the halving. We know that Bitcoin halving is only a few days away so we can be sure that in 2025 Bitcoin can reach one hundred thousand dollars. Actually those who invest in DCA method do not set the price they set a fixed time after which they sell their investment.

Bitcoin I have longed my beanie sum for about a year and I want to keep it for a few more years. The longer the investment in Bitcoin, the more benefits and profits are possible. Still I continue with DCA method because I am successful holding bitcoins with DCA method. If you hold Bitcoin for a long time and control the greed then the investment will be long term. Those who quit investing too soon due to excessive greed will face the biggest losses. Learn to hold bitcoins, not sell them.

Everyone has the same plan and goal and eager to wait until Bitcoin reaches a million dollar. $500k is already a dream come true and could retire a lot of people already.

But are you sure that you're going to retire after that? I don't think so, money that you've profited from Bitcoin will not be moving anymore but then is subject to inflation and that's why it could be another start of a new journey in finance.

Most of us will still continue in investing despite retired already on their words but IMO, it gets boring when you have nothing to do.

as long as you are working in adding your holding then it would be great to wait till that target price and that made you a really HODLER , because not like others that pretend they are one but when bitcoin just multiplied the value they are selling right away.

My Goal is to at least wait till the price goes to 100k and above because I have lots of plans in the coming years and for me that success will let me extend my investment to the fullest , I may not be in crypto till then but will surely make my life and funds worth spending.

You have a plan for a big period well Dollar Cost Averaging is best for those who get salaries monthly or weekly or bi-weekly based so they can invest any amount according to their plans well Your reply reminds me one of my thread which I started to make the good difference between lump sum vs DCA. DCA is good for those who do have not much amount to invest at once and Lump sum is good for those who have big capital of money and no need to track the BTC prices daily they just buy at good prices at once and hold it for the long term until they reached their goals. Here is the link to the Topic started by me>>>"Lump sum Vs DCA" for Bitcoin Accumulation (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5470916.msg63020867#msg63020867) have a look here with best replies of members.

That is a very good plan and also quite appropriate for you to do as long as you have the ability and a greater level of patience. Because often I see some people who find it very easy to say things like that, but not so easy to do it, especially for the duration of what you said. Sometimes any plan will not go smoothly because there is the influence of temptation which comes naturally to each individual, so that is when their patience begins to be tested well and those who are not patient enough will definitely give up by giving up what they have previously bought.

A holder must have a long-term plan, but he himself is well aware of the amount he can buy or hold. It will largely depend on a person's financial situation and his long-term plans. Those who want to invest for the long term want to grow their portfolio by pursuing DCA. In applying this strategy on hand there is no financial pressure on the investor and on the other hand he can be a big investor in Bitcoin. If you keep investing for long term then surely you can reach your destination. Many investors are so interested in the beginning but when the price of Bitcoin drops a little or they need money, they withdraw the money. If you want to invest for the long term, you should invest money in such a way that even if you lose money, it will not affect your everyday life.

I'm doing a DCA as well, it's the easiest and best solution in my case. I think that after we pass $100k probably I would start selling little by little, in my opinion in the next bull run I don't think we'll be able to go beyond $150-160k, that's why at $120k I may sell 20%, at $130k another 20%, and so on. The idea is to buy again at a discounted price. I don't care selling at the top or buying the the bottom, whoever is able to do that is just plain luck and it happens maybe once or twice, so even if my timing is not the best I don't care, I'll be happy anyway.

Since the date you made this post until now, has there not been a bitcoin OP for sale? because if yes, then it is good that you are making a plan that you will only sell when 500k of each bitcoin arrives. Then the DAC is really an effective way for us to save Bitcoin.

It's just that right now, it seems like it will be difficult for me to do that because of my priorities, which must come first. Maybe if I only had a lot of extra money, it would be easy for me to do that, because right now it's easier to see if I can see savings in the future through potential altcoins, to be honest.

As long as you bought during the bear market or the accumulation phases, you will make a profit during the bull market. Profit is profit and we should be happy because of that. I personally believe that selling portion by portion is a good way of liquidating our assets during a bull market, I had done it in the past and I'm planning to do it again when the bull market comes. This make sure that you won't have any regret in selling it all in a somehow undesirable selling price.

Taking profit is important thing to do and buying an asset again to roll your money is much more important. I failed to understand and execute it in the past that's why I had a bad bear market in the past.

The main thing which matters a lot is the initiation of bitcoin investment so if you are able to buy bitcoin at weekly, or monthly basis then you are lucky and as you are earning money through signature Campaign and use it for bitcoin investment then it will make you a wealthy person one day because from your goals and hardwork it seems that you are handling all the things very well.

DCA method for buying bitcoin is one of the safe and profitable way and every person who wants to become bitcoin holder should adopt this technology. No one can buy whole bitcoin therefore if someone has little savings throughout the week or month then this saving can be used for investment if a person has firm believe on bitcoin investment.

I would love to hold Bitcoin in my wallet because I know that for sure it's going to be a great asset even if not now, in the nearest future I believe betcoin is still going to rise again

So I think owing a bitcoin is going to be one of my major priority this year, and not just owning one but also put in more effort in studying and analyzing it's patterns too.

There's one thing I understand in Bitcoin and there's also wanting I understand in investment these two things if you understand the concept of Bitcoin and also understand the concept of investment you will know that both of them is the very different but the working collaboration only if you understand investment aspect and they also understand bitcoin and the cryptocurrency entirely, is good for someone to make a very good research before entering into investment and it is also good for someone to notice what bitcoin is all about and also understand it very well before you invest the money in Bitcoin.

Do you know that this has been the reason why so many people do wrong investment because they don't have the time to make a properly search for investment they want to go into, so from my findings I think that it is good to make a research analysis before to end by into any investment because investment is all about risk and that is every possibility that you may invest your money no matter how amount is the money enters into the wrong side of investment

Secondly is good for someone to invest in what he knows about than to invest in what you don't know about that is the beginning of some people stand for because the invest when they have not done a proper investigation so they believe that investment will result out positively to them why they have not noticed the Investment very well, so that is why you don't say that you should invest in what you can afford to loose so that when the Investment goes wrong you will not be depressed

I buy 0.4 BTC in december 2022 when price was around $17,200 . My goal is not to touch this money until 2030. I expect Bitcoin to be around 100K$-120K$ by 2030."

currently I don't own any Bitcoin, so I am working on the first part of the the Bitcoin Plan, which is acquiring some bitcoins, My Goal is to at least acquire 1 BTC by the end of this yar, that would be a good start for me. then I'll think what to do with that. I am not good at HODling, so I would probably use them for trading or find another way to increase the amount.

My plan was to invest in bitcoins when my investment in bitcoins completes ten years when my child is about 13 years old then I will use my investment money for him
that's a good future planning. but I don't think Bitcoin would take 10 years to go above 100K. you would most likely see that happen sooner than that. until then keep stacking up your bitcoins  ;)

My DCA Bitcoin fund runs out in this February, and yes it is quite tiring because it started last year, especially with the volatile market situation and also boring because of the long sideways, to hold it I plan to hold it until the end of this cycle, even if the pattern in the cycle repeats like the same decline and increase after the ATH is created, and undergoes correction again, like before.

But I have a view that for the next cycle it may be different because bitcoin in this cycle is different, I have optimism that bitcoin adoption will grow significantly until the next cycle, because bitcoin will start looting more people if the ATH in bitcoin this time is created again.

You wanna know the best best way to start investing into BTC? Set aside a monthly budget that you are willing to comfortably spend and continue accumulating btc for a good couple years. Maybe in 10 - 15 years you will either be super rich or have lost most of it.

Well OP congratulations to you, you on the right forum to learn how to trade you just need a little bit of cash and time, well when trading there are a lot of things you are to learn for example you need to have a good knowledge about cryptocurrency
