Title: Crex24 out of business??
Post by: examplens on September 13, 2022, 04:17:13 PM
it seems that another small exchange is going out of business. They were not a particularly important player in the market, although I personally had no special complications with them, I saw a lot of accusations against them.
unfortunately, there is no official announcement, nor is it possible to get any information on the website. they just keep doing business in their shady way.

somewhere I saw that even earlier they banned all users from Europe (https://www.publish0x.com/how-to-make-money-online-in-crypto/crex24-banned-all-members-of-the-european-union-please-withd-xzngewj) and the USA, Australia. I am not sure if can anyone access them. I tried but I can't access their website, even if I use a VPN with Asian IP.

On his Twitter (https://twitter.com/Crex_24) and Telegram (https://t.me/s/Crex24News) channels, they publish a list of coins that will be delisted from the platform.

https://i.ibb.co/zr05gKW/image.png (https://ibb.co/37Lsbt5)

according to the volume displayed on CMC, there is only $240,373.32 or 11 BTC per 24h, while BTC/USDT is only $281.13

I suggest that anyone who might have some funds there, try to get them out of there or forget them forever.

Recovery can only be done by contacting support, crex24 actually started restricting some countries gradually before starting to delist all crypto. My country began to be restricted since 28 May. Yep, they seem to be planning to shut down the service.

I still have a few sats there (not a huge amount) and I've to give them up.

To OP, I can't access (Europe - Italy) too... even they have a small volume they are on this business from 2017!

Guys be advised, Crex24 told us that they are going to close the exchange, please withdraw coins from Crex24 exchange

This has been posted today by admin of BGL coin, for what I can see is still possible withdraw funds from their exchange (but I don't know if they have some limitations about the minimum amount to be withdraw).
At least they have not close scamming funds but it seems they are allowing last withdraw ::)

I doubt it's possible to withdraw fund from the exchange. It seems that there is no way to login to the website.
I tried to login to the website using VPN from different countries, but I couldn't access it.
I tried it with VPNs from some European countries, United States, Canada, Japan, Singapore, India and United Kingdom.

It's obvious that the volume they show on system are manipulated.
Another theory could be like they have addresses that are not known publicly, so it's hard to find the actual volume from blockchain.

Either way, I always have doubt that the exchanges really have the volume that they show on their system. For obvious reason they always show higher numbers in the charts.

Isn't it an exit scam case? There are many scam topics against them that have not been resolved since last year so all they did was steal some money from their clients.
You can find more details in the link below:

https://teletype.in/@hjre4z0/crex24-en

also CREX24 and 1xBet are partners and use the same payment systems according to CREX24. so its scam not dead

Yeah, I've been seeing their name pop up on CMC for a long time when I'm just screwing around, looking at altcoins and what exchanges they trade on.

I don't know what country they operate out of (and I'm too lazy and tired to check), but I'm wondering if they got pressured by regulators to comply with something that they either can't or are unwilling to.  There's always been a need for exchanges that list all of those shitcoins OP showed screenshots of, and I can't imagine they weren't making money.

I don't doubt that for a minute.  There's volume inflation going on across most of the exchanges, and I think it's probably much worse with smaller exchanges liike Crex24 and the like.

Can someone find a single country in the world that can access Crex24 website?
I tried with several different locations and I am always getting the same message, and I even tried IP address from Russia that is their real location (I think).
This probably started few months ago, and this is their way of saying adios to everyone  :)

Tried a couple of different countries with a VPN and got the same blocked message as everyone else.
I have them in my Google 2FA but I really don't remember what I had there or when the last time I used it was.

Makes you wonder how many accounts are out there like that, someone got some crap coin, traded it for BTC and left never to come back.

I read in the feedback from Trustpilot, that it would be said that they are from Russia. These are screenshots only from the last few posts, they were delisted for major coins like ZEC, XRP, ADA, BCH, and EOS even earlier.

This probably started few months ago, and this is their way of saying adios to everyone  :)

they introduced some innovations in exit scams. Regularly announcing coin delisting and remaining time to recover it. who cares if it is possible to access the platform and withdraw coins from there?

It's the same as you. I can't access the site here; it shows that the site is unavailable to see and asks to email the crex24 support; customer support: support@crex24.com.

It would be hard to recover anything at that rate; they are not letting users log in. Since I read that some users cannot have access since May, I hope they have contacted users with that and managed to get all their assets out of there.

It's probably the same thing with most small exchanges, but maybe someone could try to find Crex Bitcoin address to see if there are any big movement of coins.
This would indicate they are shutting down long before this recent situation when website can't be accessed from anywhere.

I never said anything about withdrawing coins from crex, but you are the one who created this topic and asked a question :)
They probably have same message for every location and they just add country name based on detected IP address.

Not able to access the website from my jurisdiction too. Looks like they just decided to shut down the operation and just leave a generic message to everyone who tried to access their website, making them think that they are just being blocked from accessing the service.

According to reports, it seems like the blocking started earlier this year

Wow, another one bites the dust.  I used them a few times last year and never had any issues.  Plus they were good for trading and converting some of the shittiest of shitcoins as they had quite an assortment.

"you can withdraw but we will setup situations that prevent you from doing so" lol.... in before “it’s not our fault you didn’t withdraw on time”

The contact us so we can give you temporary access is hard to buy as well given the current situation. But if you have significant funds in there, you'll have no choice but to cling and hope you'll be one of the 10 people who will be able to get their funds out.

On their discord, people have also been trying to access the website from different IPs months ago.

finally I found this discussion here, I also feel strange why my IP is blocked and can't access the site, even though I want to sell the coins I have there but after reading this thread, it's better to avoid this site for fear of going bankrupt and going out of business later disappear

I guess anyone who accesses it from almost every country will have the same message as they've out of business already.

Sadly, anyone who still has some funds there even you want to pull it out is unlikely to take it out. Did someone who has some remaining funds there contacted the support?

How did they responded or do they really respond?

I will quote this post here.

It is from EmmaWu (OP) of the ANN thread of Bitgesell coin. BGL has been listed on Crex24, it is obvious that the BGL team as their client has more information.
Seems like this is definitely the end, but this access restriction is a really lame way to take the user's funds.

Looking at: https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/crex24/ it appears their API is still handing out info.

So doing a little more digging about their API I found: https://api.crex24.com/v2/public/orderBook?instrument=LTC-BTC&limit=2
and
https://api.crex24.com/v2/public/currenciesWithdrawalFees?filter=BTC,LTC

They do give out information. Even to my IP in the US.

In theory, if you have API Access, and set it up properly, you can also withdraw coins. So it's possible some lucky people can still get their funds out.

It is possible some people or bots are still out there using / trading here with no clue that the exchange is gone.

it seems that there are still people behind it. they responded on Twitter as a solution to the limited access to their platform.

https://twitter.com/Crex_24/status/1570724668868530178?s=20&t=IhlwQDzMrl9n-X0gKXfHqw

I sent them a request for temporary access to the email, and indeed within 1.5 hours, I received an answer. it is possible that the reply was automatically generated.
considering that I don't have funds there (some shitcoin dust), they will probably reject my request. It is certainly a ray of hope for those who have some value there.

Code:
Hello

Your request is being checked
We will contact you immediately once the issue will be resolved
Thank you.

How would you rate my reply?
Good Just ok Not good

Regards,
Crex24 Support Team

edit: I just got a temporary access link valid for one week, and I was able to access my account. I don't have any value there, so I can't test withdraw, but this is a good thing for those who have some coins there.
