Title: LOOK: United Crypto States Liberty 1 oz. silver 999 FUNDED W/Satoshi's Version 1
Post by: Fattcatt on September 15, 2022, 10:04:37 PM
These are nice, graded they go for $250 or so. Limited Edition of 3000 (I think) I think they're made in Italy....but they're available NOW in Ebay. Maybe grab a couple. Version 2 is a Dogecoin, funded with 1 Doge. Looks to be multi colored enamel coated, also in Ebay.. but more difficult to source. There is a direct site that would be cheaper. Maybe someone from that country can do a group buy for us??? www.powercoin.it

For me these are awful examples of collectibles - they have no public address provided, they are “funded” with an amount that is pretty much near impossible to redeem due to network fees - yet the coin is priced at a ridiculous amount even with a limit of 3k. There is also no private key but some silly pw to be used to “redeem” funds.

With it being such a scant amount, I wouldn't even bother to redeem. 0.00001  :D   I think the Liberty coin is beautiful, and I've always liked unicorns...this coin has one!!!   :P
The fact that they're silver 999, if anyone's a stacker, one or two of these won't hurt, same with the Dodgecoin. There are definitely worse coins out there, with a much higher retail (premium) price, with NO Crypto attached....but it's always a good thing to be informed.

The way it was done - no address - no private key - a pw that you register and use on a site etc

That is enough for me to steer clear - and $20 in silver for $200-$300? Shit I can get 1 oz silver coins made for 50-60 and be only 250 not 3000.

For me it isnt about the redeeming part - its about the shit quality in what they put together.

I wholly agree with this. While my OCD did not allow me to NOT get one I feel the exact same way. This coin screams “scammy” to me even tho as far as I know it’s a legit coin…. Has all the hallmarks of red flags for me though

oh for sure. I have no issues with that at all. the "one of everything" in me keeps telling me to buy one - I just get myself to overcome all the shoddy work involved with their coins - at least not yet.

Personally I love the pure look of these coins. BUT haven't yet found the stomach to buy any.
A few reasons: Funding of 1000 sats is kind of a joke, chances of tx fees eating up most or all are quite high.
Their handling of the funds via a password instead of just taking the normal private-key route... MEH!

And finally their reputation as a crypto-coin mint. They are the same that created the Binary Eagle and Bull, right?

That being said, that doge coin looks so cute. But 1 Doge funding.... Isn't that the fee for one transaction? lol

I am not 100%, but I don't think these are the same maker as the sol noctis coins - that was topworldcoins IIRC. I still trust those coins, and love them ;)

Here's what the Dogecoins look like:  Very colorful, not sure why these are difficult to source.

You bring up a good point about the small amount of satoshis not being worth redeeming.  A lot of people who use Bitcoin don't understand how coins work in their wallet and how transactions are built.  I would say it's worse than people not being bothered to redeem.  There's a good chance they couldn't redeem anything from this coin if they wanted to.  The small amount still takes up space on the blockchain for the transfer, and you have to pay for that space.  This amount would virtually be eaten by transaction fees.  This is why a lot of exchanges or other coins that hold value don't bother with these small amounts and have thresholds for transactions.

I'm always up for buying silver, but this seems like it's an attempt to lure people into overpaying for a coin because it has what amounts to a worthless crypto attachment.  Collectors will collect though.  There are certainly more overpriced coins you could buy.

What I found weird is the hologram. It rubs off just by touch. Its way to sensitive. Its not a peel type holo you rub it off. I have two of them. I took one out of the case to just have a good look (with my gloves on) my finger was on the holo just holding it and the holo starting coming apart. Its junk. But a beaut of a coin as far as the design goes.

I wouldnt buy them again but they dont look bad in my collection either. I couldnt resist a new silver coin. lol

MUCH WOW!!!

I see that no Italian has yet offered ... if there is enough interest or in general if someone is interested I can take care of it (contact me here or privately).

If a large number of orders are reached, and based on my personal commitments, I can also try to buy directly from their shop in Rome.

Keep in mind that buyers from the US will still have to pay customs taxes based on the number of coins they buy.

Looks like their 3rd and 4th coins are up for pre-order:

"LIBERTY EAGLE 1 Oz Silver Coin 1000 Satoshi United Crypto States 2023"
https://www.powercoin.it/en/mint-xxi/7701-liberty-eagle-cryptocurrency-1-oz-silver-coin-1000-satoshi-united-crypto-states-2023.html

Ironically, they are the first 2 coins that come up on ebay when searching for "crypto coin":

The redeem process can be found here

QR code which represent the priv key. No registration needed.

Why this false statement regarding the redeem process?

Got some, happy as one can be.

Man, this one looks very cool again. And I like 2 oz, but it's still quite overpriced especially since the loading is just a pure gimmick and nothing substancial.

@MJ Did you grade any of their other coins (Doge or BTC liberty coins)? I wonder if they got high grades.

Its funny you post this today. I actually sent them an email earlier saying how much i liked their coins but how i thought their load value was a slap in the face. They responded and said they appreciated the feedback and would take it under advisement. Eveyone should write them and request higher load values or even buyer funded.

Thanks for the engagement. Agreed, with more community effort we may have a chance to make them think about their target audience a little more.
I guess normal coin-collectors don't care at all about if and how many sats are on that silver coin. But we do!
