Opera browser integrates Elrond blockchain services to bolster Web3 adoption.

This means that more and more people who use opera will come to know about crypto. This mean a crypto promotion by the browser.  A lot of people keep asking for good projects, i think in future elrond will be one..

Well let's hope new users will understand it enough to know it's importance web3.
It is always a good news to spread crypto to a more larger number of people but how exactly will this bring awareness to users of opera and how they will benefit from this in terms of crypto knowledge  ???

This is one good integration of blockchain tech, we have the same integration found in the Brave browser though I hope google which has most of the web browser users integrates the cryptocurrency blockchain in their browsers too.  I can't imagine how huge the impact is if google also integrates cryptocurrency on their web browser.


Opera can always create a short definition of cryptocurrency and web 3 on their landing page and give different information links regarding the subject matter.  Exposure and experience using a browser that has a crypto integration will help users in terms of crypto knowledge, besides I am sure Opera will provide information and disseminate it to their users.

I don't know if 2.2% (https://gs.statcounter.com/) of global browser market share will make really a huge difference these days. Most of the competition goes incredibly along Google Chrome unless they really market it well like giving rewards to users or any other stuff that may peak an interest especially now that web3 are all about the rewards and earning.

It's been so long since I have used Opera Browser and at most times, it's with Brave Browser that I use because of what they've promoted before about crediting with BAT for the ads that their user will view. And with this strategy and partnership that Opera has done, this may increase the traffic that will come from their browser as many are now looking for those rewards even they're not that a lot but as long a there's a way to monetize it and also, that web3 adoption that they'll promote is timely.

I don't think Opera is a very popular browser but still better than nothing. At least people will be curious about what Elrond is which might in the end make them curious about crypto currencies.
Maybe you should let us know why you Elrond is a good project. Is it because of browser integrated the blockchain service? Or is it because you think it is going to be hyped? If it is anyone of those reasons, then I doubt it is a good project.

Opera is known for being a crypto-friendly browser, Opera has integrated many blockchain before like ethreum, polygon and celo which is not surprising and they are gradually integrating more blockchain. After releasing crypto browser on Mac, windows and android operating systems, this year they also released a crypto browser with the built-in non-custodial wallet for IOS operating system. Their goal is to provide the simplest and most user-friendly experience for general users, who often find it difficult to use other platforms.

Yes, that's true, if I'm not mistaken, they have been a very crypto friendly browser since 2018, integrating crypto wallets in their platform and even incentivizing their users before. But I haven't seen how successful it is though.

So I guess including Elrond blockchain in their wallet is a good thing. Of course, it doesn't mean that they will have the advantage on the raise for web browsers as Google still takes the lion share. But at least crypto enthusiast might shift to them because of this news specially for Elrond investors and supporters.

Google still dominates the market, but Opera is trying to get a huge chunk of it, and it's users is growing. Been using them for years including those early wallet integration, so it's all good.

But I'm not sure why they chose Elrond blockchain, maybe I missed something, or maybe they really support this project long term.

I believe it is rather the opposite.

Opera isn't bolstering cryptocurrency adoption, instead, they are just trying to gain a market share by integrating cryptocurrency into their browser. And also do note, that Opera does not integrate it by default, they make a brand new separate browser specialized for web3(https://www.opera.com/crypto/next). @rhomelmabini shows some stats about browser usage, it is a small number. So, I doubt there will be considerable affect of a regular user that is being interested in it.

It looks like Opera did build a new search application for the Crypto community - Opera Crypto- In fact they created an Opera Crypto twitter account, not combining it with the main Opera twitter account.
This cooperation does not benefit only one party. Opera can get new users from the crypto community and retain their users who are in the crypto community. And Crypto can also get new users/communities of more than 300 million from Opera users. this is because Opera will introduce their new features to their users.

     As far as I know, before the Opera browser did this, some came before this and it was Brave, and cryptotab browsers, which I know about brave is that you can get free crypto and it will be sent via brave browser also, while Cryptotab has a mine called mine that you can get by using your browser as well.

    I just don't know what the system and concept are for users who use Opera. Although this is a well-done Opera integration, to be honest, it adds a lot of confidence to crypto enthusiasts.

This is not new on browser in fact Brave browser has there own native token $BAT that can be used to there browser many years ago since last bullrun. Most of the browser support web3 wallets such as metamask that supports multiple blockchain already which means web3 is already mass adapted even with this opera browser news. There’s also few users that using this browser so I doubt this will really give a big impact.

This is great news for all of us, especially for the Elrond ecosystem and the people who have invested in this project. Opera is one of the best browsers with many users, so far they have more than 300 million users. Maybe soon we will see a new wave of crypto adopters coming from the Opera Browser. Even though Opera has only 2.2% of Worldwide Browser Market Share data, it's worth more than nothing. What we need now is to spread public awareness regarding the Web3, moving from small things first, doesn't seem like a problem.

This feature is somehow a free advertisement to the cryptocurrency itself, people with no knowledge of cryptocurrency will start to become curious once they see some content of these on the opera browser.
I believe the Opera browser is a popular browser, especially on mobile phones, very big win for the whole cryptocurrency community.

Not only the Elrond blockchain is integrated into Opera, but there are also some that have already entered such as the FIO Protocol and maybe many more that I don't know about and have long been integrated with Opera. But it doesn't seem as popular as how the browser user community uses it. Because the level of Google users covered the movement of Opera until now. People will find it easier and know where Google is easily accessible, it's not much different from Opera, it's just that looking at Opera's prospects seems to have shifted its position among internet users.
